Auburn House is a serene lakeside retreat with a 43-acre lake perfect for swimming, fishing, and boating. The 13-acre park offers pickleball, tennis, volleyball, a splash park, and trails. Winter brings skating and crokicurl. With its tranquil vibe and diverse activities, it’s ideal for families and outdoor lovers.

I’ve lived in Auburn Bay since 2018 and Auburn House has been such an incredible part of my life here. I use the space all year round and there’s always something to enjoy. In the summer, we swim, paddleboard, rent equipment from the boathouse, and take advantage of volleyball courts, disc golf, basketball nets, green spaces, picnic shelters, and even fishing in the lake. Winter is just as great with sledding, skating on both the pleasure rink and the lake, ice fishing, cross country path, and crokicurl. The two fire pits are perfect for warming up.

Inside, the gym offers so much all year from sports, activities, and plenty of things to sign up for. But what truly makes Auburn House special is the incredible calendar of thoughtful, fun community events they host all year long. From the haunted house at Halloween to festive events for Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day, and more. I always look forward to the summer beach parties, movies in the park, food truck Fridays, Friday night campfires, Bands & Brews on the beach, and the year-end fireworks show, the list honestly goes on and on. I cannot even include everything on this list.

The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and do an amazing job maintaining the space. I feel so lucky to live in Auburn Bay and have access to such a well-run, fun, and vibrant community hub.

We hosted a Celebration of Life at Auburn House in early August. The facility is fantastic and the event went incredibly well. Even more impressive was the level of caring and attention to detail from the staff there. It was a difficult time when making the arrangements but they were all fantastic to deal with and showed great customer service and compassion. Highly recommend them to anyone!

Amazing lake, great staff with a multitude of things to do.

An awesome lake with lots to do for the entire family members. The kids love the sandy beach and swimming in the lake. We love the tennis courts as we have plenty of them with always one or two are ready for us play in. There is a basketball area and other beach ball field. We love the boats ride as well which we do from time to time.

Giving 2 stars because the lady who took me off of their call list today was very nice.

We sadly had a pretty awful time at Aussie Rules while ringing in the new year for 2025. It was packed as expected, but we were crammed into a very small booth with a couple of strangers who clearly did not want to have to sit with us. We requested to move as the other party made it quite uncomfortable, and the staff moved the other party directly to the front. It was nice to have the tiny booth after that, but it was still odd to feel almost punished for asking.
On top of that, the food wasn't good, the drinks were weak, and the service was slow and we often didn't see our server for an hour or more. The piano players made a joke out of each song rather than trying to perform well.
All in all, it was not the fun experience we hoped for. Sad to say, we won't be returning.

What a neat night out! Thaw staff work hard to make it enjoyable, especially the players, who go non-stop for 4 HOURS! Carbey really is talented, and leads a great trio up there. Will be back, with friends and family!

The food at this place is plain, flavourless, and worse than most cheap pub food. I was shocked and extremely disappointed with the food options and the quality of the food. The service was great and the piano players did a great job of keeping everyone entertained. I would recommend eating somewhere else first but drinking, dancing snd have a great time at this place after.

Very fun upbeat environment. The food is absolutely delicious. Pub menu style. The piano shows are great. We always look forward to coming back again. I recommend this place 100%.⭐️

I'm Austrian and visited this wonderful restaurant. I'm simply overwhelmed by how authentic it is. The food was perfect, and the waiters were extremely friendly. It made me feel at home.

I drive here from out of town and it never disappoints! The atmosphere is warm and traditional. My friend and I started with a pretzel that was perfect for sharing. I loved the cheese spaetzle and my friend said the schnitzel was outstanding. For dessert, the apple strudel and cherries jubilee were both delicious. I love that the chef is actually Austrian. Totally recommend for anyone craving genuine Austrian comfort food.

Na, Servus! Visited this place on a quick trip to Calgary, which is a must for us every time we go! Our waitress was great and super friendly. We lived in Austria for a couple years, and this food is so authentic and delicious. You can tell there are many regulars who frequent this place. It’s a little out of the way, but worth the trip!
We had the goulash, assorted salads and Wienerschnitzel with potatoes, and Jägerschnitzel with Spätzle and gravy. Lecker!! We wanted to have dessert but ran out of room! 😁

Long overdue!

I often sneak away from work to have lunch here whenever I get the chance. I love the food, the atmosphere, and the exceptional service so much that I even convinced my company to host our holiday party here, and it was a hit! Despite all that, I kept forgetting to leave a review. Shame on me.

Well, here it is:

• The food is absolutely to die for.

• The service is exceptional (special thanks to Harry and Stephanie, they are the best).

• The decor is charming.

• The prices are very reasonable.

This place is a hidden gem… do yourself a favor and discover it!

The bouquet was much smaller than expected for the price and the variety of flowers were disappointing for the price as well. I could have went to the grocery store and picked a better bouquet. The flowers were pink and white with no other colors. Looked like it was for a baby shower not a funeral.

Awesome service! Great experience! I was in a super rush, running late, but wanted flowers that really expressed how special we felt about my gals Mom on her birthday. They had a perfect arrangement ready for me when I pulled up, and such a great deal on roses that I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to remind my gal how special she is to me too. The girls had the second bouquet whipped up in record time (great teamwork ladies) and me on my way feeling really good about the time benefit proposition I took. Cost, quality and speed, perfect score in all three categories! Take a bow ladies, you rock! (Threw a couple of pics I took at your shop in as well)

Love this flower store! I’ve been coming here for years! As a Minister, I need flowers often and they always do a beautiful job. My only complaint is I wish their hours were longer. I’ve often pulled in at 5:30 after a tough day and need something pretty and they are closed. I’m sitting here now (9:02) and waiting the hour for them to open at 10, but I’m sure the flowers will be worth the wait!!! Love, light & many Blessings all!

To be frank, I had thought that I was dealing with Incredible Florist on Seton Blvd, as I had placed an order just the day before for an anniversary gift for my one daughter and her husband. However, somehow I was connected to Avenida Flowers on Lake Fraser Drive.

The woman who answered the phone was pleasant to speak with and handled all my inquiries. A bouquet was ordered for a second daughter, as a "Just Because..." gift.

All was well. Flowers were pretty. I only gave a four star instead of a five because I thought for the price I paid, it would have been nice to see a better vase than a 'mason jar' that I could purchase at the dollar store for $1.50. Surely the price for the flowers would have covered a bit of a nicer vase. The mason jar was made to look more attractive with the addition of ribbon, yet still, a nicer vase was expected.

Sometimes it is difficult to write reviews when the person you speak with is so pleasant. Again, the chocolates were attractive, with sparkles on a couple of them.

I was told that it would have been better if a small description of what was in the chocolates would have been good. Most of them tasted good apparently, but a few (about three out of nine) were not so well-liked. Part of the problem was not knowing what was in the chocolate. They are very attractive to look at though - nicely designed

The balloon is an option that one can add to their purchase. The "crowd of smiley faces" was much nicer than the single smiley. I liked that choice.

Satisfied to a degree, but not sure if I would go again. I liked Seton Blvd Incredible Florist. Their final product was 'amazing'. The vase is part of the package deal, and is important to me. The mason jar took away from the final effect, in my opinion. Not likely to reorder from this florist, despite the fact the woman is indeed very pleasant.

The 'card' was typed up on the same piece of paper that talks about flower care and other 'information'. A separate little 'gift card' would have been much more appealing than the folded up piece of paper that the "message" from sender that had all the other information on (flower care, address etc). That was a poor touch.

Brittany is amazing! For our recent wedding, Avenue Accents supplied our incredible geometric triangle arch accents. I have never seen anything like this and it really stood out for both our photos and as a unique eye-pleasing centre piece for our wedding ceremony. We also rented a champagne wall for a fun way for our guests to find their seating places. Of course, our guests loved this! Avenue Accents has a great selection of stunning statement pieces perfect for weddings and special events. Highly recommended!

Brittany is one of the most kind and unique people we have ever met. She is a huge community spirit with a smile that has no end and a laugh that fills a room with a comforting vibe! OH and she is also the beautiful brains behind Avenue Accents! We have worked with Brittany and the Avenue Accents team a handful of times and we are always SO impressed with their large selection and detailed pieces! HERE are some wonderful photos from a botanical inspired elopement we collaborated on together that was actually just published in Confetti Wedding Magazine!!! We look forward to future projects with Avenue Accents and highly recommend their arches and backdrops!!

It was a delight to meet and collaborate with Brittany for my recent wedding at Azuridge Estate Hotel! Honestly, such a great experience working with Brittany, I showed her a picture of an arch I really wanted for our wedding and she loved it so much that she got it custom built For me and then only charged me to rent it. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what I wanted. I was blown away by how magnificent it looked! Very happy with everything to do with this company!

Iberostar Beach is a beautiful wedding destination…we were one of the guests and the resort was reasonably priced with Westjet Vacation. We recently had a beautiful wedding in Dominican Republic this past April. It was a fabulous all-inclusive and an even better week. This would not have been possible without our wedding specialist, Sheila Barry.

If an upcoming wedding itself isn’t stressful enough, wait until you search for a solid wedding specialist and trip coordinator. We had appointments with a dozen all-inclusive wedding “specialists” but nothing was working out. We were becoming very discouraged, and heading into the big day and big trip discouraged is not good. We also had the added pressure of finding the perfect place to accommodate our very unique group of friends and family who were making the trip down with us. Prices were coming back high, the resorts were not what we were looking for and the coordination of the dates as well as guests flying out of three different areas (Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax) were a disaster. The biggest issue was the customer service from the agents we met with was very poor. This was until we had a wonderful meeting and shared a coffee/chat with Sheila. Immediately following our first meetup we knew she was the one.

We met, discussed exactly what and when we wanted as well as details on the type of resort for the type of group we had going down. Sheila attentively listened, took notes and also provided helpful feedback and tips on the spot. The first meeting was completely free and felt more like we were meeting with a friend to talk about our wedding over a coffee. This was our biggest take away, she was down to earth and it didn’t seem business as usual, but more like a person very interested in helping us find the best option possible.

Within 3-4 hours after our first meeting we had an e mail from Sheila with about 8 resorts, all resorts we mentioned with prices and dates. The fact that she was so quick was a good sign, but the better sign was that she was going to go above and beyond. She told us that if we don’t mind, she’s going to do a search on her own of some spots she thought would be perfect for us. She did just that, the very next day she had a few more resorts emailed to us with prices and dates. She said to take a look but don’t make a decision quite yet, she was going to do some more digging. She did that until she found the absolute perfect spot, it was well under our budget as well as our guests budget, it was the exact dates we wanted, a new area for us (Dominican, and we’ll be going back J) and the flights she found for us going from all three locations were great, well not great they were perfect.

Now the date and location was set. The next steps were very easy, easy payment plans, easy coordination with the resort and Sheila would meet with us every so often for any minor updates and suggested plans/perks the resort offered. She also calmed me down about the possibility of bad weather and that’s the one thing we could not control but in the end it wouldn’t matter, we were going to have a great time either way. It didn’t matter, the weather was wonderful to go along with the trip. A few weeks before the wedding, everyone was sent an itinerary and a “how to” and “what to expect” type package from Sheila that really helped. Things went so smoothly, we could not believe it. The flight, the resort, the wedding coordinator at the resort, our rooms, all our guests’ needs and of course the big day. It was a 10/10.

When we returned to Calgary, we met with Sheila again. She was excited to hear how well the trip went and we now have some vouchers through her as well that will save on our next trip. We’ll be booking through her again, we also consider her a friend.

We were not guests of the hotel but headed out for brunch earlier today. We are looking at Azure ridge as a potential wedding venue. Everyone we interacted with was absolutely lovely. The food, spectacular. I would be remiss if I did not mention the exceptional hospitality and warm welcome that we received from our server Brenda. In keeping with the stone theme of the hotel, she is an absolute diamond.

We attended a wedding at Azuridge Boutique Hotel and it was such a romantic space. Everything about the venue was absolutely beautiful—the architecture, the grounds, and all the little details. The staff were amazing and so attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. Even though the weather was gloomy, the beauty of the venue and all the thoughtful touches made it easy to look past the rain. Truly a stunning place for a special occasion.

We celebrated our wedding at this gorgeous venue last week! The venue was absolutely stunning and well-maintained, the service was amazing, timely, and top-notch, and the rooms were super gorgeous and clean. Julie is a wonderful wedding coordinator who was always respectful of our wishes and worked diligently to ensure that our weekend went perfectly. The concierge workers were amazing at helping us and making sure our day went seamlessly. I highly recommend visiting this gem hidden away in Priddis, and definitely having your wedding here!

This place is truly a hidden gem! My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting in early April for an overnight stay, and it was absolutely wonderful. From the luxurious suite to the delectable food and the stunning hotel grounds, it was the perfect short getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.

A special shout-out to our exceptional server in the dining room during dinner—Adriana? and the tall bartender (apologies, I may be off on the name)—both provided outstanding service. They made us feel incredibly welcome and were attentive to all our questions, ensuring we had a memorable experience.

I wholeheartedly recommend this place 100% for anyone looking for a delightful and relaxing getaway. Thank you for making our stay so special!

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary and had the pleasure of staying for one night in the Pearl room. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff, the food and the grounds of this property were incredible and we will definitely stay again!

The kind lady here helped me find my gorgeous green dress in June just in time for my prom :) she was so sweet and informative about colour theory and uplifting your mood while being honest if something don’t look that good. This store has a multitude of sizes for everyone and considering this was the first shop I walked into, I can say I left very happy as a plus sized person.

The representative is well mannered and courteous always ready to help and get satisfied.

Absolutely delicious! This cake was a hit with everyone. The best part was that it wasn’t overly sweet—the flavors were perfectly balanced, making every bite enjoyable. I cannot rave enough about Bake My Day’s attention to detail! I wanted to surprise my husband with a 50th birthday cake, so I contacted them and explained the style I was looking for. I provided numerous pictures, and they absolutely did not disappoint. My family and guests were blown away by the decoration, and the cake itself was absolutely delicious. Bake My Day made our wedding cake for us and it was perfection! We wanted to go for a vintage inspired, heart-shaped cake and they did an excellent job. The flavour was also delicious (we picked coconut) and the texture was perfect! 10/10!

we had a quagsire birthday party. I cannot understate how beautiful this cake was. it was very dense and delicious, but the attention to detail on the quag and all of the printed fondants on the sides…….. stunning. definitely the most visually magnificent cake i have ever received. look at the layers of strawberry buttercream! wow…… Thank you

Our wedding cake was so beautiful AND delicious!! So many compliments from our guests. Communication was good, and they even customized a flavour for when we did our taste test. Absolutely blown away by how it turned out!

I recently tried the kulcha and cake from this bakery, and wow – what an experience! The kulcha was perfectly soft, buttery, and had that authentic flavor you just can’t find everywhere. It was fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious.

And the cake? Simply amazing! Moist, rich, and beautifully decorated – you could tell it was made with love and top-quality ingredients. Every bite melted in my mouth and left me wanting more.

The staff were super friendly, and the service was quick and welcoming. Whether you’re craving something savory or sweet, this bakery has you covered. Highly recommend to anyone looking for fresh, tasty treats. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Abi is amazing and very helpful and friendly I love booking there because of the way she is so welcoming. The little garden at the back is beautiful for pictures. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend

This is a smaller community centre but is beautiful inside. Membership, this year, is free. The main hall hosts taikwon-do and karate lessons and has gorgeous hardwood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows on one side overlooking the park, and there is also a meeting room with conference table and chairs where a conversation club is held. They also have a regular board game night. The basement room hosts Seedlings Spanish Preschool. All rooms are available to hire for functions or clubs, I believe. There may be other activities, clubs and events hosted that I'm not aware of. The upstairs rooms are wheelchair accessible with a ramp from the street to the door. I'm unsure if the basement room is wheelchair accessible.
There is a community garden outside and an outdoor ice rink, which is popular in winter. A free mobile skatepark was put there temporarily last summer. They organize community clean ups and also offer a soccer program that involves parents/guardians as volunteers to keep the cost down. I like the feel of the space and what is offered there. There is even a little free library outside.
I would love to see some programs such as a drop-in playgroup, dance classes for kids, music classes, or more programs for seniors, but they do great work there in a beautiful space!

The community hall has been the home for Calgary Argentine Tango dance and music community for last few years. The hall has been beautifully maintained and the manager Abi has been great to our community. Thank you Abi (TangoCalgary.com)

Love the manager, Abi, and the space is beautiful. We have chosen this hall for our wedding next summer. With their upcoming renovations to the deck, it will be amazing and even more wheelchair accessible for my dad.

Never answers emails- Not for the community garden, community events, etc. Maybe they answer when you’re paying to book the space but I’ve been in this community for over a year, tried to get involved, emailed about certain events/programs and never heard back

Also removed the community kitchen/food pantry that many of us utilized.

Stampede hot dogs in the summer was nice though

The pickleball courts are really nice. You do need to book them.

What a great place to hold an event. We were worried about parking as there is a lot of multi family buildings in the area. But it actually worked out well. Was the perfect place for our group of about 60-70. The kitchen had more than we needed and the bathrooms were more than enough for the group. Was clean and spacious. Some of the vehicles left overnight were perfectly safe in this neighborhood as well. Thanks for having us!

For a small venue in a central part of Calgar it's pretty sweet. If you are thinking of of small wedding reception or retirement party or any other special occasion with a limited budget you should look I to it. It has decent P.A. system which is great for a dj or speeches. The room holds sound really well . I just deejayed a wedding on the 7th ig eas a blast. The people were running easy and accomaditing which is always. Great venue

Really good experience! One of the best things about this place was the interior. It’s well/ designed and spacious so you don’t feel cramped like a pack of sardines while trying to eat. You can have a nice meal and have an actual conversation without either yelling and/or feeling like you’re telling the strangers next to you all about your business. It also seems like the staff actually care about whether or not you have a good experience, which is nice. It’s hard to find a place that can create a nice atmosphere and make good food at the same time, but they did both!! ✨

We finally had a chance to come by for dinner and had a pretty good experience. We were seated promptly, though right in the aisle, so we asked to be moved. Thankfully, they had a number of other tables available.

We started with the calamari, which was quite tasty. They are more similar to the Chinese salt and pepper squid versus the rings you'd normally see. I appreciated this style more because the batter stayed on, was crispy, and well seasoned. We also enjoyed the bits if fried onions that came with it. Definitely recommend.

For mains, we got the Campanelle and Roast Chicken Piccata. The chicken was pretty tender and paired well with the slightly crispy skin. Flavours were balanced and portion size was decent. The pasta fell short of my expectations. Shrimps were cut into small pieces instead of served whole and there was barely any crab meat. The yuzu seemed non-existant and there was barely enough sauce to coat the dish. The pasta itself was soft and the overall plate had a milder palate.

We wrapped up with their Neapolitan Semifreddo. I liked the crispy pieces that came with the ice cream as it added to both the texture and taste. However, we both agreed that the ice cream was similar to store bought quality.

Our favourite thing was that most of the food was seasoned well and not too salty. The music can be a bit loud, making conversation a bit trickier, but the big, open space definitely doesn't make you feel cramped in. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable, though a bit talkative. Service was also quite slow, as our dinner lasted 2.5 hours.

We were amazed at the happy hour pricing! For the price and quality overall this was one of our best and favorite restaurants that we ate at while on our vacation. Calgary is definitely a place that we would like to go back to this and this restaurant will also be on our list!

I don’t know where you find your hostesses, but they are top notch. Super friendly and welcoming, even with the sun shining directly in their eyes. Found us seating right away on the patio. Service was friendly, prompt and made our experience memorable. We even saw our server flawlessly navigate serving a table full of extremely difficult guests (after 13 years in the service industry, I would have been wanting to tear my hair out serving these people). Food is always consistent and delicious. Drinks are awesome and love the happy hour pricing. Ordered the fried Halloumi, Calamari and a Pizza and it was amazing.

Really flavourful with the truffle. Fresh pasta. Perfect amount of sauce. Really nice and I’d share again to try all things on the menu. Aperol spritz pitcher was exactly what we all needed. Very freshening. A friend got the burrata , Caesar salad, oysters. Garlicky Caesar salad was so so so good! Oysters were fresh. Very happy.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and have always sat upstairs except for one time. Really disappointing to be honest. When you want to be in the thick of the action. Makes for a different type of meal. Not terrible but not ideal either. Service was decent and prompt.

Bathrooms are all the way in the basement. The worst placement. Another reason why sitting second level is not ideal. I’d come back again during happy house 2-5pm daily. Half off selected cocktails and pizza.

We had such a good time with DJ Barbu at our wedding. He kept the energy high and improvised to keep everyone on the dance floor. Anatoli was very accommodating and overall just added to the fun atmosphere with his demeanor and taste in music. One big thing was mixing in Arabic and Latin music in short cuts to engage our multicultural guests. All of our guests had nothing but positive things to say about how well the music and “vibe” was throughout the evening.

From the moment he pulled up, to showing him the set up needed at the river then also up at the dinner/dance location it was nothing but whatever we can do to help make it the most amazing day for you guys. It's always a turn up and great time. It's like he's more excited seeing the people dance than the ones actually dancing.

I was a guest at a wedding venue he played at, he was so great! So involved with the guests and he really cares about everyone having fun and enjoying their time. HIGHLY recommend!!

We were shopping here as usual and decided to try the family meals for the first time (probably the last), thinking it would be convenient to have food ready after grocery shopping. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience.

When we got home and opened the order, the salad didn’t look fresh—and upon closer inspection, we found visible mold in it!! It went straight to the trash. To make things worse, the chicken was undercooked and still red inside, which raised serious food safety concerns.

Also, while our order was being packed, we noticed the baklava didn’t look fresh and had visible dust on the box. We asked for a fresh one, but the staff member offered to replace it with an extra hummus box instead, which we thought was okay. He gave us a large hummus tub in place of the two smaller ones, but unfortunately, that didn’t taste good either.

We were genuinely looking forward to a good meal, but this experience was unacceptable. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the quality and safety of their prepared foods.

I used to really enjoy shopping here, but unfortunately, the quality has dropped significantly. The fruits and vegetables are no longer fresh, and prices have gone up, which makes it even more disappointing. I asked an employee if I could take tomatoes from the box in the back, and he told me no — that the discounted ones are the bad ones, and they only put the nearly rotten produce on sale. It's just not worth driving 40 minutes for low-quality vegetables. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving the standards they once had.

Edit: The last time we shopped there we were very disappointed by the manipulation. It's sad to be tricked into thinking you're buying good quality ground meat and when you get home and open it you see it's been tempered with to hide the fact that it started oxidizing! The outside layer of the ground meat we bought had a nice red color but every piece in the middle was browned. That's low blow!
