Where can I start ? Working with Amanda has been simply amazing . From the second I walked into her office she has impressed me with her kindness and her ability to listen to each persons preferences. She is the most resourceful and helpful person I have worked with. She did all my decorations for my wedding that just passed and let me tell you everything was perfect. Amanda has so many different amazing decorations for all different tastes. We did the reception at a restaurant and Amanda managed to make it look just like a hall. Also , I had a problem with my staircase in front of the house and she went beyond my expectations and she managed to hide the staircase without me even asking her . Like I said , she goes above and beyond for her clients and I would recommend her to anyone that is planning an event. She is also super easy to reach and she answered my messages within minutes.

I had a great experience building a ring from scratch with what I wanted. I was given helpful tips at the appropriate time and never felt pressured to do anything I didn't like. Discussing my ring, getting it modelled, manufactured, and received, took less than 1.5 months. Alterations were also possible after the manufacturing, if needed. Overall, a great experience and would definitely come back for wedding bands!

Rented a Fogmashine for my wedding and paid 50$ . The mashin was defective. The day after went back to the store to return the item (the liquide was untouched showing there was no usage). The sales man refused to refund and said you were suppose to call me the day of, how was I supposed to call you when the store was closed and in the middle of my wedding. Disappointment..

I recently placed an order with your company and was informed that I would receive a receipt before proceeding with payment. However, despite several follow-up calls over the past five days, I have yet to receive it. On each occasion, I was assured that the receipt would be sent shortly, and today I was specifically told it would arrive, but unfortunately, it has not.

This situation is very disappointing, as I was genuinely looking forward to collaborating with you. The continued delays and lack of communication suggest a lack of consideration for your customers and raise concerns regarding professionalism. As a serious client, I rely on timely and reliable service, particularly for projects of importance such as this one.

Excellent quality roll up banner I ordered one from vistaprint recently and it was more expensive and not good quality. Go Pro are so fast and accommodating I told them I had an event and needed it in a few days and a poster printed too and they did it all beautifully, had it ready for pickup and were so nice and communicated very well. Definitely will be doing all my printing here and highly recommend!!

Horrible Customer Service via Phone

I placed an order on Thursday and followed instructions to email with any questions. After two days with no response, I called today for an update. The agent, Stephanie, couldn’t provide the information I needed and said she’d call me back. After waiting nearly an hour, I called again. She still didn’t have answers and said she needed to inquire further.

When she finally called back, I asked another question I had forgotten earlier. Instead of assisting, she sighed loudly in my ear and told me to email my questions which I had already done on Thursday with no reply! When I pointed this out, she became unprofessional, raising her voice and talking back. I called her out on it and ended the call.

This was my first and likely last order. If this is the level of service they provide, Stephanie needs coaching or better yet, should not be in customer service at all.

I went in person to pick up my order and was warmly greeted by every staff member. The owner personally showed me my order before handing it to me and apologized for what happened over the phone with the staff member. Overall, I was satisfied with the experience.

The quality, consistency and diversity of meats and cuts is astonishing. Any meat or cut of meat you could possible want, is here, and in its BEST iteration.

Every detail is meticulously thought out and executed.

The experience is high end, without being pretentious

The shop is ALWAYS surgically clean.

The service is always warm, friendly and competent.

The butchers are experts and aren’t shy to thoughtfully answer your inquiries.

Even the packaging is of very high quality, so is the awesome paper bag they give you.

If you want to occasionally splurge on a nice piece of meat, this is the place. If you live within an hour of this place, it’s well worth the trip.

If you happen to be of a higher socio-economic status, and care about WHERE your meat comes from, it’s quality AND how it has been handled and processed, you should exclusively buy your meat from Gourmeyeur.

Low-key tip: Pick up your boeuf-haché from here. It’s $20+/kg, but it is well worth it. They freshly grind the beef to order. I usually order a few 500g + 750g packs. You can request your preferred fat % and they perfectly vacuum pack it, perfect to through into the freezer for future use. PS; Don’t be off put by the rapid color change, they don’t put red food dye like all other butchers do.

I am so very pleased to see how le Gourmeyeur has grown throughout the years; expanding their product offerings, services and menus. I have referred many friends and family, and they all feel the same as I do; best food and best quality. My favorites include any and every tartar on the menu, the tuna tataki, sesame salmon and all of the side dishes. I especially look forward to the exclusive special occasion menus (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day...) where head Chef Jerome prepares meticulously curated meals to mark the occasion. And please, don’t forget to stop by the boutique where you can purchase top quality meats when looking to create your own meals at home.

If you’re on the fence about hiring a photographer through one of those package-deal companies, let me save you the trouble: don’t. Those companies just pair you with whoever is available, and you have no way of knowing if you’ll vibe with them or like their style. Victor was only a little more expensive than the package option we were considering, but it was worth every penny. He’s a true artist who loves his job, and it shows in every photo. We’re beyond happy with our choice and can’t wait to see what he does for our wedding day. Highly recommend!

On Friday, May 30th, 2025 I booked a haircut with Paul at Salon Deauville, paying $120. He is supposed to be an expert hairstylist, and I trusted his skills. My hair was cut, blow-dried and straightened at the time. Paul briefly showed me the back, and I said it seemed fine.

Fast forward to today, August 10, 2025 the first time I had my hair professionally styled since that day and the new stylist pointed out a large, uneven chunk missing from the bottom right of my hair (photo attached). I was in complete shock and embarrassment. Nobody has touched my hair since Paul, so there is no doubt this was the result of his cut.

I immediately called Salon Deauville to make a complaint to the manager, but the receptionist told me the manager will only be in the salon on Tuesday. So now I have to wait days to bring this matter to her attention. In the meantime, I want everyone to be aware of this and to stay far away from them.

I cannot understand how a professional could let a client walk out with such an obvious, unacceptable mistake. I feel completely let down, scammed, and betrayed. This is not just poor service it’s a botched job that I now have to pay someone else to fix. I will no longer recommend this salon and will be going elsewhere, likely to the stylist who first pointed out the issue.

I had a wonderful experience getting my haircut with Kerri! She truly listened to what I wanted and gave me a style that suits my hair type perfectly. My curtain bangs and layers turned out exactly how I imagined—light, bouncy, and easy to tie up while still looking voluminous. Kerri was kind, professional, and made the whole experience so comfortable. I’m honestly in love with my new look. Thank you, Kerri, for the amazing transformation!

I can’t say enough amazing things about this salon! Sammy is absolutely incredible not only is she talented and detail-oriented with her work, but she’s also one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She always goes above and beyond to make sure I leave feeling confident and happy. Everythinggg about her is just spectacular. I also have to mention Shoshanna at the front desk she’s truly a gem. She’s worked so hard to fit me into the schedule when I needed it, and every time I walk in, she greets me with the warmest welcome, a hug, and a genuine “how are you?” It makes me feel so cared for before I even sit in the chair. The whole salon has such a welcoming atmosphere, and every staff member I’ve met has been nothing short of wonderful. I always leave with not just great hair, but also a great feeling from the experience. I first discovered this place about 10 years ago, and for my very first Brazilian wax I chose Annie. She was absolutely wonderful back then, and most recently, after returning some time later, she was just as amazing. Annie takes her time, explains each step of the process, and makes sure you’re comfortable throughout. I experienced almost no pain, and I love that she even brings her own light to ensure precision. Her knowledge and care truly stand out some might even call her the bikini whisperer! A flawless experience from start to finish. 10/10 service.

I went in today for a root color treatment, and overall, the experience was good. However, I was surprised to find that after rinsing out the color, they don’t dry your hair—you’re expected to do it yourself. While I wasn’t expecting a full blowout, I do feel that basic drying should be included as part of the service. It’s a small but important detail that makes a difference in the overall customer experience.

I got a pedicure done twice. The first time i did the pedicure i booked the signature pedicure. When i was getting it done i said " you know its the signature pedicure right? " the lady said " omg the signature no i didnt know, so do you want parafim treatment or the exfoliation" ( it was my first time there and i thought maybe i was confused by the service so i said exfoliating. When i doubled check, like i though it was indeed the exfoliation AND the parafim treatment she was supposed to do. After that she painted my toe nails. She made me wait in the chair about 30 mins for them to dry ( normal ) and than but some Vaseline to help seel in the color and than I was done. When i got home took the Vaseline wraps off and the color was destroyed , 20 mins later. I went back they repainted for free and now the color is holding but on some nails only half and other 3/4 of my nail is actually painted. The polish isnt uniform and theres polish missing on all the corners of my nails. Very bad experience. I think they are 5 techs you can book for pedicures in total and at least 3 didnt do a good job ( I had 2 nail tech the first time i went and a different one when i went back. My friend came with me and she had one lady and same experience for her)

I had a pleasant experience with Anna. She is professional, skilled, and attentive. I explained the style I had in mind, and she brought it to life flawlessly and even better. She also gave me great tips on how to take care of my hair. Highly recommend!

Went in today for a consultation with Naomi. My appointment was at 9 am, which is the first of the day. I waited 15 minutes where I was told to wait. Everyone in the salon was looking at me and no one asked who I was waiting for. Naomi never showed up.

In answer to the Spa's comments: What I understand from your comments is that running late and bad customer service (as your comments to this review point out - of course, this is the customer's fault and not the business') is the norm at your salon.

Fantastic card shop with a nostalgic atmosphere that older collectors will really appreciate. Great selection, friendly staff, and a perfect place to relive the classics!

Deeply Saddened by the racist encounter at this store today at around 6:30pm. I believe the store rep’s name was Darcy. From the minute I and my little sister walked in the cashier did not take her eyes of us. She stared at us the entire duration of when we where in there. It was extremely off-putting, racist, and intimidating. Many people came in and out of the store, touched products, looked around, but they were not visually stalked like we were. I had noticed this from the cashier but decided to not react. After we paid, on our way out (closer to where they keep the front left merchandise) my sister stopped me and asked me why the cashier was staring at us. In that moment we noticed the cashier move from behind the register to a shelf to get a better look at us. I went back and told the cashier of what both me and my sister have observed and asked contact info for her manager/owner. She said, “it won’t make a difference”. I understand ant-theft prevention but the disparity in how we were treated compared to her customers is unacceptable and plain racism. I will follow up with an email to management but from Darcy’s remarks this type of racist behaviour seem’s to be accepted at this store.

I love this store, they have a lot of cute and fun gifts. Every gift I have bought here has been very well received. Also, the staff is super helpful and friendly and go the extra mile for the customer, which is very nice :)

A really nice place to buy Christmas, Birthday cards or for any other occasion. They even have decorative gifts or plushies, or even collectable things like Disney collection, Universal studios etc. They have wrapping papers for presents, or boxes and bags. Christmas ornaments, mugs with messages, calendars and so many little things you can discover to buy every time.

Staff was helpful. There were a lot of people in the store, the cashier acknowledged my presence and apologized for delay. It actually impressed me that she was mindful of the delay. Lots of choice of cards, something for everyone. It is a go to place for me downtown.
