I walked in to the store to buy my father a gift for his 50th birthday. As i was browsing the cookwear section, the older woman (who I believe runs the shop) approached me. She did not speak, she just incessantly followed me around. Eventually I asked her if there was an issue and she began nagging me about the linens and bedsheets ? I tried to remain calm but she kept provoking me. The worst part was that the store (in her presence) smelled like fish. I cannot reccomend Maison Lipari less, although one of her colleagues did apologize to me for her bosses attitude, so I appreciate that...

Bought 2 Le Creuset serving platers. Shortly after received confirmation that the order is being processed. A couple of days later Rebecca called and said that the order can not be fulfilled and I need to change one of the color’s. No problem and I asked my wife what she wanted. Left several messages with Rebecca and none of my calls were returned. Finally I got a hold of her and she explained that the website is wrong and the colour I chose is not available. She was very short and not pleasant at all. After all the calls and the rude reception from her, a couple of days later we received the platers and we received what we originally wanted. A total waste of our time.

The most amazing shopping experience I have had in a long time! Excellent products at fair prices and the staff was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Mrs. Lipari is a wonderful lady who really cares about her clients and treats them like family. I loved the experience so much I returned 4 times in the last month to purchase additional items. I will never shop anywhere else for these types of products again. I feel like family when I go there. 5 stars only begins to tell the story!

My wife (a person of colour with mobility issues) and I stopped here for a couple nights before going out east. Despite the location being advertised as smoke free, the place absolutely reeked. They offered us the back parking spot due to my wife’s mobility issues, for $35 a night.
The following day we did some sight seeing, when we returned there was another vehicle in the spot that we had paid for. Having to leave my wife in the car, I went in to discuss the issue with the owner on site.I tried to discuss the issue with him rationally, but he escalated the situation by calling us homophobic ableist and racist slurs.
I immediately packed up our things. We’ve been attempting to get a refund, to no avail, and had to pay to spend the night in a different location.
DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY ARE EXTREMELY IGNORANT AND DISRESPECTFUL.

The stay was good, Robert was very kind. helping and friendly. He allowed us to cook till 8 pm which was half an hour extra than the routine . Very neat and clean. They are renovating hope they will have better beds to get more visitors. Service was excellent. Breakfast was included and wide variety was there in breakfast.

I stayed here with my family. Almost everything was misinformed on the listing. The place absolutely reeked of cigarettes despite the location being listed as “non smoking” everywhere. So much so that when we left , found somewhere else to stay and unpacked, everything we had brought smelt like cigarette smoke.
The room did not lock from the outside. Anyone could come into our room while we weren’t there. Someone DID walk into the room while me and my very young sibling were in there, saying that the room my family and I were staying in was their room. This shook me up and made me severely concerned for our security and safety. It seems the owner took this other persons items without their knowledge and moved it to another room. This was absolutely not these other people’s fault. This was the fault of the management and the owner’s.
The owner proceeded to take the parking spot that WE paid for(we had paid for two nights), say it was our fault for misunderstanding him somehow, and refused to give us our money back. When we brought it up to the manager at the location at the time, he yelled and shouted profanities at us. Blaming it on Expedia(which we didn’t even use to pay for the parking spot), the other owner, and us. We ended up leaving a day early and still have yet to come to a resolution.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. DO NOT GIVE THEM CASH. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER STAYING. We were treated with such disrespect that I have never experienced from a place of business before.

Booked a two night stay. When we returned for the second night we found all of our stuff had been moved out of our room to a smaller room and a new group was in our space. We had no communication about this and they offered nothing for having to share a bed instead of the two beds that we paid for. They offered no real reason for this. They also kept some of our stuff in the old room and did not move everything. Awful experience, don't waste your money. Also reeked of smoke.

dirty, smells really bad from cigarettes, sheets towels and furniture is old and uncomfortable to say the least.

we booked one apt for 4 people and asked for separate beds like mentioned in the booking com site.
but in reality we got a reclining sofa for me and my sister!!
the management was very rude and pressured us to decide in 5 min when it was already evening.

the worst place I've ever been to! we canceled our reservation immediately and paid 4 times more, just to put our heads somewhere. run away!

The event venue is a hidden gem. On the outside it's unimpressive. The inside decor and atmosphere are impressive, however!
It's small compared to other venues, so it can fill up very quickly. The service was exquisite, and the staff very professional.
My only suggestion is let the guests know that there is more room for waiting upstairs.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Maison Principale on Saturday, May 17, and I can’t say enough good things about this venue. It’s absolutely beautiful—every corner offers a perfect backdrop for photos, from the elegant interiors to the thoughtful architectural details.

The space was spotless and so well maintained, which makes a huge difference on a fast-paced wedding day. I also want to highlight how lovely it was to work with Natasha—she was so accommodating and kind, and even welcomed me to visit the venue ahead of the wedding to get familiar with the space. That extra step helped everything run even more smoothly on the big day.

Absolutely phenomenal experience with Mme. Amelie - she's a talent beyond compare! She made my vision come true into the most stunning cape for my wedding dress. Incredible design, exceptional communication and quick work - would give six stars if I could!

I'm so happy to have stumbled across Amelie during my search for my wedding dress in April 2021. We decided to get married six weeks before our date and I was worried I wouldn't find anything I liked. Amelie is such an amazing and talented seamstress and was able to create exactly what I wanted in such a quick turnaround (3-4 weeks!)

My experience with her was always pleasant and she was never pushy when it came to any decisions being made during the process. In fact, she offered alternatives and was able to work within my budget by offering other material that would essential re-create the same look.

The consultation visit involved trying on the different tops and bottoms to help decide what style dress you're looking for. I knew I wanted the jupe oiseau de paradis, but was uncertain with the top. With no hesitation at all, Amelie created two different style tops to try during our first fitting and I was able to make any final decisions from there with the top cassiopee. She even made a matching face mask.

With every fitting that followed ( there were 3 in total), Amelie was careful to make sure everything was perfect. By visit 3, the dress is yours and you take it home. There's even a nice finished touch but I won't spoil that surprise for you!

Communication was very quick as Amelie always replied within the same day. She was willing to be flexible with her schedule to work with yours when it came to follow-up appointments. Payment for the dress was also made in 3 instalments, and she accepts e-transfer.

This place is no doubt most popular on Thursday's for it's awesome AYCE steak & frites special. The steak is pretty good quality but not amazing as far as the meat quality itself goes. However the kitchen staff are skilled and cooked all 4 of my courses fantastically. The pepper sauce was a good compliment. Fries were not my preferred variety but appropriate for the plate. I came here on my birthday, although nothing was offered for the occasion it was a fantastic experience. Our server was very professional too. Atmosphere-wise it stands up to any other restaurant in the Old Port minus a few top picks.

Keyword: All-you-can-eat sirloin steak and fries, $44 per person. It's a good value, but not exceptional.

How to Play: The first plate is a set meal: bread, salad, steak, and fries. You must finish it all. From the second plate onwards, you can order just the steak without the fries. You have a two-hour limit, until you stop.

The sirloin was decent, but unevenly distributed. Some pieces had a lot of tendons, so it all depends on your luck. Cooking was on point or sometimes 1 point above cooking asked.

The restaurant is beautiful and has an all-you-can-eat steak and fries option on Thursdays. They start you off with warm bread, butter, and a fresh salad before bringing out the steak and fries. Just a tip: if you don’t want fries with your second plate, make sure you emphasize it—otherwise, they’ll bring them again by default. The all-you-can-eat deal requires you to finish your first plate before getting another. Overall, it’s a great spot, though it can get a little loud if you’re planning to have a long conversation.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but this time I felt like I had to.

Maison St-Paul had been on my list for a while, especially for the Thursday “all you can eat steak and fries” special. We finally gave it a try — but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype.

We arrived at 7:30pm and placed our order. The first round of steak came out in about 4 minutes, which was surprisingly fast — but unfortunately, none of the steaks were cooked as requested. My medium rare came out well done.

Still, we gave it another shot and ordered a second round at 8:15pm… but it didn’t arrive until 8:45pm. When it finally came, the meat was tough and full of tendons. It completely killed my appetite. The group behind us also seemed unhappy with how their steaks were cooked, so it wasn’t just us.

The service was also disappointing. Our waiter only checked in three times the entire evening, which really didn’t help the situation.

I don’t mind paying — but when the quality and service are both off, it’s hard to enjoy the experience. For us, the Thursday deal simply wasn’t worth it.

After we left, I checked the reviews — and it turns out a lot of people had the same experience.

This is just our honest opinion.

We went on a Thursday night as a group of 4. They had an all you can eat steak and frites for $44 Canadian dollars. It was totally worth it and fulfilling. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very fancy and the waiter was kind and responsive. Great place for steak

This location was perfect to walk around the city and was close to places to park. We were able to very briefly park on the side of the road in front of the hotel to drop off our luggage. The room was very spacious with a kitchen and was very clean. The hallways when you first enter make the place seem a little run down but the room was very modern and had everything we needed. Definitely would stay here again.

This hotel was perfect for exploring old town Montreal. The room was quite large for old town (#203) and had all the mod coms one would expect, except an elevator of course given the age of the building. I especially loved the window which opened on to the main street. Parking was a challenge but the contactless concierge was very helpful via text when I needed advice.

I wish there was a way to give a 3.5 star. I had stayed at their sister company and had loved it. I was not happy with this stay. No elevator, although nice room the mattress was bad and kept me up all night. The location was great but it was loud. It’s part of the old town charm but I will go back to Maison Therese next time.

I arrived about 2 hours ago, and I’m still in shock. This room is dark, depressing, and faces an ugly alley filled with dumpsters, construction fencing ( attached a photo) I booked this hotel based on the great reviews, as my husband just arrived in Canada and we wanted to spend a few nights in Montreal. I paid $240 per night for 3 nights, and this feels like a nightmare.

The bathroom is another story: the water is dangerously hot, with no proper adjustment, which feels unsafe. I also now realize (my fault for not reading carefully) that there’s no room service unless you stay for 6 nights—something I have never experienced at a hotel charging this much.

At this price point, I expected a pleasant boutique experience, not something that feels like a neglected hostel. I regret booking this place and am already looking for alternative accommodation.

Incredible find! Can’t possibly get any closer to the heart of old Montreal - location was perfect. The room was lovely, quaint, and also surprisingly quiet and private feeling despite its proximity to bars/nightlife.

Room was great quality! The shower was hot and had great water pressure, bathrooms were a nice perk. The bed was super comfy as well. The little amenities were much appreciated - popcorn, water, espresso pods.

Check in was contactless and super easy!Parking garage recommendations were all super helpful, and despite being in a car-unfriendly area, it was very easy to park and carry our bags 5 minutes. Will absolutely stay here again any time in Montreal!

Had a great stay in Room 201! Very clean and easy, contactless check in. The bedroom had a nice view of Old Montreal. I also enjoyed the roof deck, which they provided a key for in the room. Note that this is an aparthotel rather than a traditional hotel with a front desk. But the off-site concierge was responsive and helpful by phone. Would recommend and stay again!

The rooms are elegant, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Ours had a cozy yet modern feel with tasteful décor, high ceilings, and large windows that let in tons of natural light. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were crisp, and the bathroom felt like a mini spa—everything spotless and high-quality. It really felt like a little oasis in the middle of the city.

What made our experience even better was the service. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Every interaction—whether checking in, asking for recommendations, or just passing by—was warm and professional. You can tell they truly care about making guests feel comfortable.

If I had to mention one small thing, it’s that I wish they offered room service. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means, and we understand that it’s a smaller boutique property, but it would have been the cherry on top. That said, with so many amazing restaurants and cafés nearby, it was easy to grab something delicious within a few steps.

All in all, Maison Sainte-Thérèse delivered on every level: beautiful rooms, a prime location, and top-notch service. It strikes that perfect balance between modern comfort and historic charm. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a boutique experience in the heart of Old Montreal.

Okay so hear this one.

My wife's pregnant. As you know, sometimes they get a little baby brain. So, we arrive on July 31, 2025, attempt to checkin, only to see the booking dates are in 2026. So naturally, no checkin codes.

Go figure.

But we WhatsApp the hotel, and I kid you not, in less than 10 minutes they made a backend change, got us codes, and access to a room.

Instead of standing in old Montreal with 4suitcases from Australia, we were able to get into the room and work things out later.

Plus when we entered, the room was spotless, beautiful and even came with a little microwave popcorn for later. Nice touch.

First impression is that the service is already exceptional and the place itself looks so comfortable.

Oh yeah just tried the beds. They're awesome too.

We stayed at Maison Sainte Therese in May 2025. It was an excellent room with kitchenette, couch/tv space and very comfortable bed. It was modern and very clean. We were incredibly impressed - basically it was exactly like the beautiful pictures on the website, but then better - if that is possible. Great location, quick walk to Metro, lots of restaurants, very quick walk to Basilica and Archaeology Museum and the port. I highly recommend!

Best grooming place for your dog! The staff is very sweet and careful about our dog. My family and I can feel how much effort and love the people put to take care of our dog. Feeling very comfortable and pet friendly. We really love how Andra was making sure to reach our expectations for the cuts. Very professional and patient when Benji (our dog) was getting his nails and paws trim since he is very ticklish. In other words, it's the best pet friendly place! We will come back many times in the future!

Amazing experience at this groomer! You can feel the love the owner has for animals as soon as she interacts with your pet. My dog absolutely loves her and she does a fantastic job every time. She even gives a free bandana to put around their neck!! 100% recommend this place.

Had a great experience with Andra! My english cream golden loves her and he was so clean and bright after his appointment and smelled oh so good! I feel comfortable leaving my dog with her as she's very caring and takes one dog at a time so your dog won't sit in a cage for hours on end. This is very important to me. Thank you Andra and ps. Pamela is an amazing makeup artist. From the moment she started doing my makeup on my wedding day, she made me feel positive and less nervous about the big day. She was very detailed in every step of the makeup process and made sure the final outcome was exactly what i wanted. As a brown woman, I was a bit nervous about getting my makeup done when my skin tone was so different from the rest of the bridal party, but Malika is so wonderful that her skills translate across all of her diverse clientele.

I ordered a cake from Mama J's for my son and our friend's mutual birthday celebration and we were blown away. Mama J took the time to listen to our dairy sensitivities and chose ingredients (plant based vs dairy) that worked. To top it off, the flavour was amazing. Absolutely fantastic beautiful delicious cakes. I made two last minute back to back orders for my friends 50th and my daughter’s 21st birthdays and Mama J delivered with no hesitation and excellent execution. Her red velvet with that butter cream icing was to die for. And the cheesecake was devoured within minutes. I appreciated the excellent service and the punctuality. Very professional. Great energy. Intimate restaurant with good wine list plus wines on tap, with tapas style plates. Excellent service and very friendly. They offer white, red, rose, and orange wines on tap which is pretty great. The prices were very reasonable for the wine. They also offer bottles for purchase too.
The food is tapas style so expect smaller plates for sharing. It's french cuisine, and the menu is rotated out regularly. I give the food 3 stars since it isn't very flavorful in my opinion.

Everything was excellent overall! The restaurant is beautiful, the terrace is stunning, and the attention to detail makes it such a perfect place for a cozy dinner. The food and drinks were amazing — great cocktails, really good wine, and a menu that changes often so there’s always something new to try. The only downside was that the service we had that night wasn’t the friendliest, but it happens. Still, I’d definitely recommend this spot!

adorable wine bar with so many options and excellent prices. house wines as cheap as 8$ a glass and still great taste. service was super friendly, but a bit slow. trendy spot and doesn’t take reservations so prepare to wait, worth it though! food was very good too, lots of small bite options. the terrace was very cute as well.

That was the BEST experience ive ever had at a salon. First, i spent 4 hours there cs i was changing a lot in my hair and they were always so caring and thoughtful, always checking up if I needed anything, if all was okay etc. Second, the transformation they did on my hair was incredible. The hairdresser was Elias and he did what i wanted ! And Mandy, the woman i had the consultation with, was so helpful and she understood what i wanted and made sure to deliver the results. I finally found a salon i can go back to maintain my hair (its also super clean and a beautiful vibe) !! Thanks a lot ❤️❤️❤️

I don’t really know what to say… I came in just to consult about bangs. I have curly hair so I washed and styled it because it should be cut dry to account for shrinkage. They rinsed my hair, kept walking away from me, did a couple of snips. I had so many pictures (added) I showed him… I wanted to cry. I walked out looking crazy I was so embarrassed. I attached a photo of the final, along with the reference photos I showed them - I paied 40$. The lady was nice though

The best salon experience I’ve ever had! I’ve tried many over the years, but Justin truly stands out—attentive, gentle, and he gave me the best head massage ever. My color and cut are absolutely perfect, and he really made me feel amazing. I called last minute hoping for a same-day appointment, and Mandyz managed to fit me in quickly with her team. After this experience, I don’t need to look for another salon again! A huge thank you, and see you very soon.

I had an amazing experience in Mandyz, they were so warm and welcoming. I wanted to cut my hair in layers and style it. Tania absolutely killed it! My hair looks amazingggg. She asked me what I wanted and did exactly that, which turned out better than I could dream of. Thank you so much!!!!

I had a fantastic experience at this salon for my perm! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable and taken care of throughout the appointment. What really stood out to me was the support I received even after the perm was done. The salon was super responsive to any questions or concerns I had in the days following, which made the whole process feel really reassuring. Their aftercare support was just as great as the service itself.

The Manoir staff were very helpful, friendly and professional from initial contact all the way through. We would strongly recommend considering Manoir Davis for your wedding!
