I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Beauty District Bridal! On my wedding day, Julie and her team traveled all the way from Montreal to Le Manoir Richelieu in La Malbaie. I felt absolutely beautiful and pampered from start to finish. My hair and makeup were flawless — they lasted all day and held perfectly, even with the heat and humidity of a July wedding in Quebec. Julie’s talent, attention to detail, and warm, calming presence made the entire experience such a joy. I’m so grateful to her and her team for going above and beyond to help me look and feel my best on such a special day.

I had the pleasure of working with Julie and Somaly from The Beauty District for my wedding, and I truly cannot recommend them enough! From our very first meeting, I felt at ease and reassured that they could execute the bridal look I desired. They were incredibly calming, professional and so personable throughout the entire process, which made getting ready for my big day a stress-free and enjoyable experience. This feeling is also shared amongst my bridal party, who were amazed at how skillfully Julie and Somaly came together to personalize their hair and makeup experience, which was stunning, natural and exactly what they wanted. We also sported many of their jewelry/hair pieces from their personal collection, which were truly the perfect touch to complete our looks.

Julie worked her magic with my makeup, creating a flawless look that was exactly what I envisioned—natural, glowing, and perfect for the occasion. I felt absolutely beautiful without looking overdone, and my makeup stayed fresh all day, even through all of the tears and hugs!

Somaly did an amazing job with my hair, crafting a style that was elegant and timeless, but still felt like me. She took the time to listen to my preferences and added her expertise to create something truly special. By her miraculous talent and quality products, my hair and its curls kept their volume and bounce the entire night!

Both Julie and Somaly made me feel like I was their top priority. They were prompt, organized, and worked efficiently, all while maintaining such a positive and calming energy. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help me feel confident and beautiful on my wedding day, they are absolutely incredible!

Absolutely thrilled with my experience with Julie. She did my bridal make up. She is so sweet, and I knew it was important to her to ensure that I was happy with my make up. She was super open to changing something if it wasn’t to my preference, I could tell that during the trial. The day of, nothing needed to be changed because my make up was PERFECT. I literally never say that and always find a problem with something in my appearance, but my make up was flawless. She was super understanding that I didn’t want false lashes and was avle to make my eyes pop using just liner and mascara. My skin looked flawless, and the quality of her products is clearly good because it stayed on perfectly and I had no irritation. I recommend her 10/10. Merci Julie !!!

I used the Beauty District Bridal services for my wedding a little less than a month ago, and I have to say I was extremely happy with their services. They did an amazing job for hair and makeup which lasted the whole night. They even have gorgeous accessories!! I would highly recommend :)

My sister and I were looking for a cafe to work around Jarry Park and saw it while driving. What a FIND!!!
It's so beautiful, clean, 5 star service and the food is genuinely so delicious. We couldn't stop talking about the quality of the ingredient while eating. Not every restaurant/cafe uses good ingredients and is this tasty anymore.
The owners and employees were so helpful and kept asking us if we loved their food. They even gave us complimentary coffee.

We also found out that the restaurant is a concept restaurant and catering service giving immigrant women fulfilling and meaningful work. You can taste and feel the love in the food and atmosphere here. And it's HALAL!!! I had Greek Moussaka with Halal meat that rivals the Moussaka I used to have at authentic Greek restaurants.

I wish I took photos of the food but we devoured it so fast.

The service is amazing the staff is super nice. They saw us taking a picture and came to take one for us. The food is great. The place is so nice situated right across a park and the ambiance in the cafe is so homey. They had a light jazz playing that really topped things off.

I stumbled upon Petites Mains Café right across from Jarry Park, and I’m so glad I did! This place is honestly the cutest café with a warm and spacious interior that makes it perfect for studying, working, catching up with friends, or just enjoying a quiet moment with a good meal.

What makes it even more special is that it's a non-profit café where all the profits go toward supporting female immigrants, especially single mothers and those in need of employment. Knowing that my meal was contributing to such a meaningful cause made the experience even better.

I tried their shish taouk and wow, it was so good! Super filling, fresh, and packed with flavor, all at a really affordable price. You can tell they put a lot of care into their food, and it felt like a comforting home-cooked meal.

I'm definitely coming back here! If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by, not just for the great food and cozy vibes but also to support an incredible mission.

I had an amazing experience here and I'm definitely coming back with more friends! The place is adorably decorated, the people are incredibly welcoming, the service was fast, and the food was great. We had the meal of the day, which was a lebanese dish, as well as the cod sandwich and the eggplant sandwich. Everything is halal and there's lots of vegetarian options. The ingredients are fresh and the prices are affordable! French and English service.

Absolutely delightful experience at Café Petites mains. Navid gave such a warm welcome and amazing service. His iced coffee is chefs kiss. Everything, from coffee to food, is fresh, made with love, and at a very affordable price. Lots of vegetarian options too. They have many tables and offer wifi so you can stay and study comfortably. There’s great lighting and room so you feel quite comfortable. The staff is a team of hardworking and lovely ladies. It’s also a fantastic way to support a wonderful organization and community.

Wonderful discovery! I ordered twice now and will continue to do so for our future events. The cakes are not only gorgeous they taste amazing. Not too sweet, not dry just the right amount of everything. Highly recommend!

It’s a hidden bar in the middle of the Old Montreal. You get there, only by knowing someone who already has, because it isn’t easy to find that black hidden door 😅

They have many drinks options, that are the average price of the other places around.
I give it 4 starts only cause there are basically no food options, just some veryyyy small snacks such as olives.
They also have a Whisky tasting thing for who might enjoy it

Hidden spot with a cool good backstory (used to be cold storage area), themed after a crime gang clean up squad and connection to sister bars. Stopped here after visiting Bisou Bisou to check out their selection. Arrived to a line at an unmarked door, greeted and walked down a set of steps into a dimly lit space.

Two things rubbed me the wrong way/I disliked at the start - first, despite arriving as a couple and at entry asking for a seat for 2 - the same hostess somehow mistakenly pairs us with another “melanated couple” walking in behind us - I politely responded that I did not know these people and that we’d sit at the bar. Second, the snack menu included sour candy - I asked if they make the sweets or store bought them - the bartender points to a large glass jar on the bar and jokingly says “I mix cocktails not make candy” Yea ok I thought it’s not unheard of to make candy; you’re in here making craft cocktails and syrups etc (that’s cooking baby not just mixing drinks - add a little gelatin, you got “candy”). Rude but I moved past it… then she served the candy in a rocks glass that was just rinsed so the candy got wet. Not good.

The overall menu was cute and playful. Like the sister restaurant each drink lists the ingredients plus flavor profile and they have some classics. Nothing too special about presentation - no garnish and duck themed paper coasters.

Husband was vibing on the music (90s hip hop) and quirky atmosphere so we stayed for 1 drink. Ordered a corpse reviver II and a Sallerac. Both great!

Towards the end of the bar, past the hellish looking restroom, a short staircase takes you out the backside to exit. Fun little adventure.

First things first, press this doorbell for the bartender to come let you in (see picture). We absolutely loved this hidden gem. Bartenders were super nice and experienced. I asked them to make a gin based drink that was a bit fruity and mildly sweet and they delivered! We did the same thing when we asked for a shot so don't be afraid to ask the bartender to surprise you with an original creation.

Atmosphere: 7.5/10
Tucked away in Old Montreal, The Coldroom is a true speakeasy with an unmarked entrance and cellar-like vibe. The space feels like a wine cave meets cocktail den — casual and dim, with a long bar counter and multiple group seating areas. Music was slightly too loud, but still manageable for short conversations.

Drinks: 6/10

The menu is themed around a fictional 1970s Montreal rubber duck squat — playful, creative, and packed with personality. Each drink includes its flavor profile, ingredients, and glassware shape, making it easy to navigate. While the menu concept stands out, the drinks themselves fall a bit flat. Presentation is minimal, with no garnish, and the bar uses below-average glassware and no coasters.

Service: 8.5/10
Water was served on arrival. The team was friendly and attentive throughout. Prices are average for Montreal, with a balance between standard cocktails and more premium, exotic options that are fairly priced.

Press the doorbell and wait for someone to open! A hidden gem with a stylish, laid-back vibe, this speakeasy delivers a solid cocktail menu and an even better atmosphere. Drinks are good—well-balanced and creative without trying too hard. Great spot for a chill, low-key night out.

I chose to work with the directors for my wedding and they exceeded any expectations I had. They knew exactly what songs to play and played them well. They had people dancing the entire night! Randi made the process so seamless and it truly was a pleasure to work with her and the band. I I look forward to working with them again in the future and attending any events that they are at!

We are so incredibly grateful to The Directors Showband for making our wedding reception and ceremony truly unforgettable. We cannot stop talking about how The Directors COMPLETELY made our wedding day! Randi and Tony were amazing from the start with regards to organizing and planning our special day, making sure everything ran smoothly the day of, and creating the best vibe on the dance floor! We had the absolute best time dancing to their music all night long! The party did not stop. All the musicians and singers are so talented, and they play music for everyone. No one can stay in their seats. Our guests cannot stop talking about how special they were. I danced so hard that I had wounds on my feet! The highlight of our wedding. Special shout out to the best horah which made my day. We also enjoyed the cocktail music and duet that played us down the aisle. So magical. Without a doubt would recommend for your special day. You won't regret it!

Guy is not just a fabulous DJ. He's a wonderful wonderful person and he deserves all of the success in the world. He was the DJ for my wedding on June 8 2025, and from the moment we spoke on the phone months ago, I knew he was special. He has such a warm, kind personality and he put so much love and care into my wedding. It was the PERFECT mix of what the bride and groom love (country) with what our guests and family expected (disco, Israeli, Arabic music) and he did it sooooo seamlessly. Even our officiant complimented how good the music was!! Guy is truly a step above the rest, and he will put 1000000% effort into your big day, and he will make single guest happy. He can read the room like no other, and he really did a wonderful job keeping me calm and giving me confidence throughout the day. I cannot overstate how perfect of a DJ he is and how much of a good guy he is. Please PLEASE hire him, you won't regret it!!!!!

Guy was absolutely incredible at our wedding! The music was perfect from start to finish, the dance floor was full all night, and every moment felt effortless and fun. Guests are still raving about the music. He blended incredibly well the vibe of the crowd with the style of music we were looking for. He even indulged us with a special request for a Mr Brightside three-peat —truly the best DJ we could have asked for! What a night!

We had Guy for our wedding and his presence was awesome, from the start of the ceremony, during cocktail, reception and up until the very end of the night. He incorporated our song requests perfectly during the evening, made announcements when required but nothing over the top in that department (which was what we wanted), and had our guests and us dancing until the very last minute! Our special night wouldn’t have been the same without him. Thank you so much!

We hired The Event Guy for our son’s bar mitsva. The DJ came with 2 animators.
All I can say is they made it the best party ever. Best DJ you can find in the industry for your event.

This is by far the best dog groomer EVER. She is incredibly talented for poodles/doodles, takes her time with every dog and treats each of them like her own. You’ll never find a better groomer! 10/10 recommend

Was overall a good experience! We just needed a place to sleep on our trip for one night so we didnt stay long. There is no parking, but you can pay for a parking garage 1 street over ($10 overnight). You don’t have an individual bathroom in your room, but there were 3 shared bathrooms on our floor of about 10 rooms. The bedroom was nice and clean. No AC but it wasn’t overly warm since we visited in the fall.

It’s nothing special but a good place to simply stay the night to sleep (maybe bring ear plug if your sensitive to sound)

A beautiful rustic, slummy, art deco style. There are a lot of mystery items which are worth investigating. We had a room and a bathroom on our floor. Sheets were clean enough (not after we were done with them) and the room felt thrown together. Also there is a hall of fans.

Would not recommend.

They charge $15-$20 to put your luggage in a the electrical closet depending on who is at the front desk. We ended up paying $30 for this over two days because check in is late (4pm) and check out is 11am. They do not keep track of who leaves what luggage in this room so cross your fingers.

The shared bathrooms were gross and there was often standing water. Bedding was being folded by staff on the ground in public hallways. One of our blankets did not have a duvet cover.

No sound insulation between rooms and for some reason the turn over staff decided that outside guest rooms is a great place to converse and laugh loudly for over an hour early in the morning.

Questionable code compliance, little STC rating, broken stair railing and definitely failed fire rating between rooms.

Shameful service – scam and indifference!

I booked a room at this so-called “hotel” expecting at least basic comfort, especially in hot weather. But the air conditioning didn’t work at all! The room was unbearably stuffy, and it was impossible to sleep. I went to the front desk — they just shrugged and said they’d “pass the message along.” Nothing was done.

I asked for at least a partial refund — and they flat-out refused! They knew the room didn’t meet the promised standards, yet had no problem charging full price. This is outright deception and complete disrespect toward guests.

I strongly advise against staying here. For this price, you can find a hotel that actually respects its customers and provides the basics. Disgraceful!

It's a good value for Montreal. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a friendly host. The only negative is you can hear the neighboring rooms quite easily. For me it was not a problem because there weren't many guests and I'm not that fussy anyway. It's in a quieter neighborhood, but still very walkable to anywhere in old town. I would definitely stay again.

Had the privilege of watching these handsome boys play at le cousins bar in Brossard - must come see !!! Rock, pop, country - and they take requests !!! What an amazing band - the vocals are so good and great twist to cover albums !!!

I had the privilege of having The Mile Stones play at my wedding and it was absolutely the highlight of the night. It's nearly a year later, and our guests STILL bring up the live music and party.

Furthermore, the band worked seamlessly with the DJ we had booked. You'd never guess they were meeting our DJ for the first time. It was impressive and unbelievable how well coordinated everything was between them.

Ivo and the band have a perfect mix of music for any setting. They played the perfect music for cocktails, and then later, had everyone on the dance floor partying and singing along. Not only that, the songs they played appealed to all ages, my parents generation as well as my generation, all together dancing and singing. It was everything I could ask for.

Loved them so much, we'll definitely be finding more public shows to drop in on in the future. You could tell they love what they do, and it was contagious.

We had a family reunion in Montreal and had Kate do our family photos. She was fantastic in every way! Quick and easy to communicate with, she knows her trade and did a fantastic job organizing all 12 of us (including a 5 yr old, 3yr old, and 1 year old). She took absolutely gorgeous photos of us all and really worked with our entire group to get the best clicks and ensure all combination of photos would be taken with each family. From start to finish she was a pleasure to work with and would highly recommend her!

Kate photographed our wedding in May 2025 and she did an incredible job. The photos are stunning and so memorable.

Kate also showed so much patience and enthusiasm while doing our family photos, despite our little brothers running around! She is great with children and coordinating family photos.

From the second we stepped into his office , John made us feel comfortable with his calmness and great sense of humour. I had my wedding yesterday with John and Daniel and I can’t begin to explain how amazing the whole experience was. They are the most down to earth and human team I have ever worked with. The pastries were good, and the savory snacks had a Montreal-specific twist to them which was a nice touch. I particularity appreciated the live pianist.

Love love loved this hotel! From the check in process, you know it’s going to be a good stay. We were promptly greeted by the valet. Check in at front desk was super efficient. We were offered cold towels and water, and we were even given drink tokens for having gold status. These “tokens” were something else - think Ritz Carlton specific silver coins. I almost wanted to save mine as a souvenir but the espresso martini was calling to me. The front desk staff walked us to our room and showed us the room features. Our room was decorated with rose petals for our anniversary and we received a handwritten card with snacks to celebrate. Best macarons I’ve ever had.

The bed was super comfy and I loved the toilet (automatic sensor, heated seats, bidet). We had a nice view from our room.

During our stay, we visited Palm Court (lobby bar) and Maison Boulud for dinner. Ambiance, food, drinks were so good!

Location is very central and walkable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were sad when we had to leave. The spa looked nice - will have to try this next time. Thank you to Jorge and the front desk staff (I’m sorry I don’t remember her name - tall lady with glasses) for your hospitality. We can’t wait to come back!

I must say that the suit (comes in 3 pieces: coat, vest and pants) I got from here for my friend’s wedding was one of the best looking suits I’ve ever worn. This review is long overdue. Alain planned the trip of a LIFETIME for our family in the summer of 2023. We were fortunate to be able to get away for four weeks to split between visiting family and touring Italy. Alain took care of our flights, our accomodations, our tours, and provided us with additional information for the regions we were visiting. We spent time with family at our home base and ventured off to destinations such as Sorrento, a beach resort in Salerno, a private boat tour in the Amalfi coast and a golf cart tour of Rome. Alain handled all of the logistics in order for us to have a stress free family dream vacation. The best part about his service, is that you are never on your own when away and can reach out to the travel concierge at any time for in trip assistance. This is a very personalized touch which we appreciated. Very professsional, and amazing customer service. Alain is our guy forever.

The staff were extremely friendly and professional, although it felt a little understaffed as it was hard to get your next drink at times. I wonder if a light up system or some way to signal needing another drink would be beneficial! (We’ve seen places where each table has a little tea light cup and you turn the light on when you’re ready for your next drink- it seems to work well and we felt it might work in a place like The Wiggle Room too to signal that you’re ready for your next drink without disrupting the show!). We were extremely impressed with the cocktails, the prices and the very friendly service.
The atmosphere was extremely inclusive and respectful, very tastefully executed.

We would absolutely attend again!

This place is the absolute best to go see burlesque, drag, and other various performance art. The staff are friendly and the drinks are sooooooo good! I definitely recommend going to see their shows, even if they may be a little pricier (25$+ per ticket). I have performed here a couple of times and always had the best experience!

Very disappointing in their lack of care for attendees with accessibility concerns.

We bought tickets for our first show at the Wiggle room and arrived before the doors opened because my wife had busted her ankle the day before and was on crutches for the first time in her life.

I dropper her off at the door because she couldn’t go far on the crutches. This was super stressful because there was nowhere to safely pull over and she had to get out on the street side and try to navigate the traffic on her crutches.

After I helped her get to the door, I left her there while I went to park the van we were driving. It’s an unusually large accessibility van. So I quickly discovered I was too tall for any parking garage and too big for any street parking. There was apparently also a large event going on and it was crazy trying to find parking. I spent over an hour trying to find a place to park and couldn’t find a place anywhere.

During this time my wife kept calling and was in tears because of the steep stairs in the building. She said people offered to carry her up the stairs but it scared her too much. She tried calling the listed phone number to get some advice but no one answered the phone or returned her voicemail.

After more than an hour of trying to find a way to make it work we gave up because it was so stressful on both of us. We called and emailed and asked for a refund given the circumstances but they never bothered to even respond in any way.

I understand their are limitations to what they can do for customers with accessibility needs, but at least showing that you have some empathy would leave customers not feeling totally ignored.

My husband and I went to the show and we completely loved it! It was fun and the the show was amazing. You can go and get a sandwich next door which my husband did. The drinks were really amazing!!! I would highly recommend it, it was recommend to us by a criend and so glad we went and saw it!!!

The cocktails left more than a little to be desired though. Out of the 4 cocktails my partner and I tried, only one was barely perceptibly alcoholized. The others were just really weak and not that enjoyable.

Overall I had an excellent time and recommend this for a very unique night out experience!

Amazing cocktail reception with sushi, lamb chops, Mexican taco bar, salmon burgers, duck, shrimp! Signature cocktails! Service was over the top and the old world setting with modern touches was beautiful.

I had the pleasure of attending the 40th Anniversary Gala of the 2025 Miss Chinese Montreal Pageant at Le Windsor Ballrooms, and the entire evening felt like a fairytale.
From the moment I walked through the Peacock Alley, I was teleported into a world of elegance. The towering ceilings, rows of glittering crystal chandeliers, and the historic fireplace made the space feel grand and luxurious. It’s the kind of place that immediately impresses you and sets the tone for a memorable night.

The event was held in the Salon Windsor, and I was blown away by the room’s beauty. The tall gilded ceilings, mirrored French doors, and ornate chandeliers gave the entire evening a regal touch. It felt like I was at a royal ball!!

One of the highlights of the night was meeting Cathy Leung-Rosnuk, Miss Chinese Montreal 1987, and her daughter Tyra Rosnuk, Miss Chinese Montreal 2021. They were both so friendly and charming. It was my first time meeting pageants in person, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to such a glamorous world. The experience of attending this event and seeing these incredible women was amazing.

Le Windsor Ballrooms exceeded all expectations. The venue, the atmosphere, and the overall vibe of the night were truly unforgettable. I had a wonderful time.☺️

I heard this place used to be a bank, and it really has a wonderful sense of history! I absolutely love the ambiance, with the old vaults and safes, plus the vintage elevator. The view from the second floor is breathtaking! If you're considering a venue for formal meetings or events, I highly recommend it. The staff are professional and the setting is truly unique.
