Wedding Vendors in Montreal

After years of service, the company decides to increase my insurance policy by double the amount (they claim to have sent an email that I've never received) upon informing me of a late payment immediately cancel my policy. They charge me $148 of cancellation fees on top of the 80$ I would owe for the 3 weeks I was covered under the policy. No one informs me of the change and they refuse to credit fees. They basically just sell intact insurance. Save yourself some time and money and go see other insurer's. I saved nearly 1000$ going with a competitor. 800$ after being scammed by Vézina... Still worth it

I was looking to change hair salon. I found Salon vibes in DDO. When I read the reviews I saw all of the amazing comments that people have written about Tammy and decided that I wanted her to do my hair absolutely.

Tammy coloured, toned, cut and blow dried my hair and it turned out simply gorgeous!

She understands hair like no other Hairdresser that I had ever met. And she also takes the time to understand what you want and is not rushed at all.

I’m so pleased with my experience that I will definitely continue to see Tammy for all my hair needs.

Tammy from Salon Vibes was absolutely amazing. She was very sweet and friendly. Her style made me look elegant and feel special. It lasted all day, from 9am until past midnight. It survived dancing and even a ride in a convertible on the highway! She worked so well with my makeup artist to provide a beautiful look. She was creative to arrange and put my two headpieces in place. She even helped some of my relatives pin flowers in their hair. I would definitely highly recommend her professional services, I was beyond satisfied, I was immensely impressed. Thank you so much Tammy!

Vibes is an amazing salon with top quality hair stylists and makeup artists! I get my hair cut regularly by Marisa S, she always does a great job and listens to what I want. She did my wedding hair and made me feel so special on my wedding day. Lorena did my makeup and I have never felt more beautiful in my life. My entire bridal party had their hair and make up done at Vibes and it was a really nice way to start the day. Everyone looked fantastic and our hair and makeup lasted all night. The last photo I posted was after hours of dancing and my hair was still perfect!

Love this salon. Recently had my hair cut by Tammy. She did a fantastic job. I received so many compliments. She even recommended some products, Kevin Murphy, they did not disappoint. Well worth it. I highly recommend.

Every time I come here everyone is always super kind and welcoming. I usually get my waxing and pedicure done with either Laurina or Fatima and they are both super kind and always make sure I leave satisfied and content. I also get the occasional haircut with Marissa and she’s always amazing :) I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so!

Charges an illegal credit card fee. When mentioned, the owner was incredibly disrespectful and argumentative instead of apologetic. They knowingly break Quebec's consumer laws and have a terrible attitude about it. Do not recommend.

My complaint was not about your standard computer or minimum charge fees. My complaint was about an additional surcharge added specifically because I chose to pay by credit card.

This practice—charging extra for the payment method itself—is prohibited under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act. The law is clear: the advertised price for a service is the maximum price that can be charged, regardless of the payment method.

The fees you described are for your services. The illegal fee I am describing is a penalty for my choice of payment.

We needed some urgent vinyl banners printed and they were able to deliver. Everything went smoothly and on time! Very happy with the service and the quality of the prints!

This is my first time leaving a review, but after the experience I had at this print shop, I feel like I have to warn others.
I went in to print some documents and followed the instructions I was given. When the papers printed, they came out in the wrong size. The guy working there, blamed me for not changing the settings, but I let it go since I didn’t mind the size. However, things took a turn when I went to pay.
He told me the total would be $5 if I paid in cash and $7 if I paid by card. I politely asked why there was a price difference, and out of nowhere, he became aggressive, raising his voice and calling me “rude” and “arrogant.” Then he took it even further by saying, “You guys already have a bad reputation, and you’re making it worse.”
I was confused and asked him what he meant, and that’s when he said, “You Muslims are always like this—rude.” I was completely shocked. I told him, “Excuse me, but I’m not Muslim.” Instead of stopping, he shifted his hostility toward Arabs, saying, “Well, you’re Arab, and Arabs are all like this—rude.”
I asked him why he assumed I was Arab, and he replied, “You sound Arab.” At this point, I was in disbelief. I was being treated with hostility just for asking a question. I even tried to de-escalate the situation by telling him I was never rude to him and apologizing if I came across that way. But instead of calming down, he kept yelling and repeating his hateful remarks.
Then he insisted, “I’m Canadian,” as if that justified his behavior. I could have responded, “Well, you sound Indian,” but I didn’t—because that’s not who I am and I refuse to treat others the way he treated me. Being Canadian means respecting people of all backgrounds. If he can’t do that, he has no business running a store in a diverse country.
For your information, not all Arabs are Muslims. Arabs can be Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or follow other beliefs. No one should be judged based on their background. "Hating people because of their color is wrong. And it doesn't matter which color does the hating. It's just wrong." — Muhammad Ali
You should learn to embrace tolerance and respect people for who they are. Never judge or blame an entire religion because of the actions of one person. If someone behaves poorly, it's due to their personal choices, not because of their faith. Everyone represents themselves, not their religion.

This was not just bad service—it was outright racism. No one deserves to be treated this way. Avoid this place at all costs!!!

I came in for a nanoplasty keratin treatment, and my expectations were exceeded. Teresa explained each step of the process and gave me clear advice on how to care for my hair afterward. I’m writing this after my first wash, and my hair is indeed perfectly straight.

The treatment took exactly three hours, and I felt very welcomed as a first-time client. The price I paid matched what was listed on the website for my hair length, and I really appreciated that there were no extra charges based on my hair texture.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Teresa truly saved my hair today on basically zero notice after I messed up fixing my own roots. Not only did she fit me in her very busy schedule on the same day, but she worked absolute magic on my hair and I have never been so happy with my hair. But most importantly, she is excellent company during appointments and made me feel so welcome as a new client. Considering the starting point, many stylists would have turned me away, but she fixed my hair in record time and saved the day. I'm so happy I trusted her with my hair and cannot recommend her highly enough no matter your hair color, length, or texture!

By far the best salmon I’ve had. The calamari and drinks were also out of this world. My only complaint is the small portions and lack of extra color on the dishes. They felt very basic

My family and I had such an amazing night at vieux port steakhouse. The staff kindly welcomed us when we walked in and our waiter Elias was the best. He was a very nice person to talk to and was very very welcoming. The best waiter i can ever ask for. The food was also very good and atmosphere was warm and relaxing. Will definitely return!!!

I’d say the lobster was good, but the steak wasn’t so great….. One thing I REALLY didn’t like was how the tip was handled. Instead of simply giving me the card machine, the server directly asked, “How much would you like to tip me?” I felt very uncomfortable having to say the amount out loud instead of entering it myself. That didn’t feel right or professional.

Also, the tables were way too small—more like café tables—which really took away from the dining experience. The overall atmosphere wasn’t very nice either.

I came here for my anniversary, and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place for a special occasion. I was very disappointed. However, if you’re just planning a casual dinner, it might be fine…. But just be aware of the tipping here

Overall a neat place, we came here for dinner. When making a reservation on open table I asked for a terrace seat in special requests and we got a terrace seat :D

You do need to go round the corner to the other entrance for the terrace, it has a different entrance. I thought it was a pretty nice spot. You probably need to somewhat like being outside for that spot though, personally I liked it but my sister didn’t. Was nice to watch the birds but there were some bugs outside.

Service was good, their english was pretty fluent, nice people. Food was okay. I probably would come back to try out other things on the menu. Location was nice since it was by the port, you could check out the science center or the Ferris wheel before or after.

Had the chance to check out this reputable establishment in the beautiful old part of Montreal city. We must have caught them on an off busy night. Service was good. Asked for a few forgotten items, whiskey sour was terrible and the steak was away overcooked but tender escargot was nothing to write home about . The room(s) are beautiful with a mixture of modern and old classic brick and stone giving the atmosphere a very nice touch . I'd check it out again. Just when you're paying these prices I expect a little more attention to detail, Tourist season or not. I would give it a try one more time ☘️🤙

Did my daughter's baptism reception here. First of all it was a pleasure to work with Romina. She was very helpful and answers your email quick. Every thing went very smoothly.
We did a Brunch buffet w/ a veal roast everything was delicious. It was also a lot of food for the price I paid. The place is also clean and beautiful.

If you are looking for professional, timeless, and thoughtful videography, you cannot go wrong with Villaview. Hands down, Mark and James were the kindest and most professional people we worked with for our wedding. They listened to our requests (from music to incorporating special meaningful touches in our wedding video and they were spent the whole entire day/night with us…. The best money spent. Videography was one of the things that my fiancé and I were on the fence about at the start of the planning process - it seemed like a nice-to-have but not a need-to-have. Looking back, I can't imagine our wedding without Villaview.

Our first call with Mark was when COVID had thrown everything up in the air. Even when we delayed the wedding, Mark was on board and with us through the uncertainty, providing clear guidelines and expectations so that we could have one less 'uncertain' thing - which was not the case with all vendors. As people planning a wedding in a pandemic, this reassurance and reliable communication we received from Mark was key.

Being familiar with Villaview's work from friends and online, I knew there was no other company that we would choose if we did go for a videographer. We didn't need the big cinematic, staged moments - we wanted what Villaview is best at: capturing the tiny, important details of the day that flew by. The private looks between my partner and I. The way he reached for my hand, the sheer joy on my mother's face as we danced together. I hugged over a hundred people the day of the wedding, and in our 2 minute video there was a clip of me hugging my best friend from childhood who had driven in for the ceremony - Mark hadn't been told that this person was important; he intuitively picked up on the magnitude of the moment and captured it so that I can have it forever. These moments could have been missed by anyone without his vision and talent.

The finished product was more than we could have hoped for, and I was amazed at how much was captured in a few short minutes. We also got the full ceremony and speeches. For us, having these moments memorialized forever in such a beautiful way has been the best decision we made during wedding planning. Thank you, Mark!

Fantastic experience. The whole session was perfectly crafted to our group’s desired wine categories, as well as to the menu! It was packed with interesting and pertinent information. Dany took us on a journey, even for the most knowledgeable of wine drinkers.

To be perfectly honest, I was skeptical of Dany. The sheer amount of positive reviews was too good to be true.

It’s not. Dany is truly masterful of the craft. I must say, I had an absolutely amazing time learning from Dany, and so did the other 13 people that were with me. I couldn’t have asked for a better time learning and trying out some really fun wines.

Another thing: we should have chosen the food pairing. Highly regret opting not to get the food, but Dany still gave us a few bites to really understand the food and wine pairings. I’m sure whatever Dany had available would have made this experience even better.

I didn’t know a lot about wine before this experience. Dany took his time to explain everything in detail and answer all our questions. Very professional and friendly! I fully recommend!

Riviera is always top quality, and affordable! They have kept the same chefs on staff which allows consistency in the quality. The owner Frank is a very respectable businessman, he keeps his word and works for you.

Amazing experience with this place! They are professional, yet very caring to adjust their accomadations to fit your wedding needs and budget perfectly! From the experience I had shopping for halls they have the best presentation of the packages they offer. Clear and precise, with lots of photos and they know their food and menus well. We left our initial meeting with them, with no questions or confusion. I have to say that I am really disappointed with the lack of customer service I have received from the person working there. I walked in and there was an employee on the phone with a customer, however, he saw us ( we were 3) come in , and never acknowledged our presence, not by raising his hand, or smile. I waited about 5-7 minutes to see if any kind of acknowledgement would come from the guy... nope! Nothing at all. Wow! And to say that other members of my family have dealt with them for years and they recommended them. Hell naw! So we left the travel agency after about 7 minutes without any sign. Not spending my money here.

For the first time, we decided to get our trip organized by a travel agency. We were going to Australia and did not want to take chances. We are very happy we took that decision. We got in touch with Voyageurs du Monde (we had heard of them by a friend in Toulouse). They were just excellent. Organized our trip the way we wanted, they were very good at informing us and were very responsive to any of our requests while travelling. We had a wonderful trip, loved Australia and had wonderful experiences in Port Douglas, the Great Barrier and the rain forest. We were very lucky with the weather 24th August - 9th of September sunny warm for the season in Sydney (no wind, i.e. our trips snorkeling were fantastic. Thank you Christelle, Aurelie, Aurelia and Denis in Sydney.

We used their services when planning our honeymoon in Japan and they were very flexible in the services they offered. Gave great suggestions of places to visit during our stay, places we had never heard of that ended up being stunning. I'm very happy that we found them. Floriane Trinel, Christophe and his team were very accommodating with my friend and I while we were on our trip to Whistler. Floriane talked to me about everything we needed to know and handed me our booklet about all our vouchers and information for our trip before leaving. Everything was already booked and well taken care of and if there was something or a question I really needed to be answered, Floriane or Christophe and his team would be there to answer within a call or an email. Our trip went fast and smoothly but without Floriane's help, I would be lost and I am grateful that she was there every step of the way whenever I needed help. Would definitely use this service again for future vacations.

My husband and I had an excellent experience at the W Montreal for our anniversary. We were upgraded to a larger room that was very spacious and overlooked the city. The location of the hotel is perfect, very walkable. They also have a nice record bar downstairs open on the weekends that was fun to hang out at before going out. The service was also wonderful. We were greeted with a handwritten note and welcome gift from Mauricio at W insider, their expert concierge service, who I had been in contact with before the trip to help me plan and book the best restaurants and experiences. He was so helpful and made sure we had an amazing time! Definitely stay here if visiting Montreal and make sure to take advantage of this service!

We recently stayed at the W with our two children and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and genuinely cared about our stay. Yasmin at the front desk was fantastic, and the valet/bellman from Brazil (whose name I sadly can't recall) was equally exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help.

When our youngest threw up in bed, the response from the team was outstanding. The front desk and housekeeping handled everything with such kindness and professionalism, never making us feel uncomfortable. Everyone we encountered, including the bartender in the lobby, greeted us with a warm smile and positive energy.

The location is perfect, and the service made all the difference. I would absolutely recommend the W to anyone. We’ll definitely be back!

I love this place. Absolutely love it. I know nothing about formal menswear, but this is not a shop, it is a shrine erected to the memory of its founder, run by a family of pleasant, courteous next generations in a place that is less like a store and more like a kaleidoscope of all things classy and refined. There’s a coffee and a snack counter rivaling any upscale coffee shop, attended to by no other than the charming M Waxman himself, there are electric guitars, there’s an unused but impeccably kept and maintained barbershop, a hard to spot statue of a harlequin to remind us to not take it all too seriously, and walls adorned by black-and-white family pictures, suspending you between togetherness and nostalgia. And somewhere hidden from view is the enigmatic Suzie… who has been taken care of shirts and tuxedos for decades.
Here you enter someone’s house and are treated like a guest.
I only have two tuxedos, both bought from here, their beauty and quality matching unforgettable experience off dressing room between antique commodes, and the rotary telephone to make you feel, for a little while, like a true gentleman.

Without a doubt the best device I've ever gotten! Julian (pronounced hoolian) is an absolute super hero. When my custom suit came in with defects from another provider, he came through with exactly what I needed and even eyeballed my exact size. A true professional and and extremely genuine fellow. Definitely recommend!!!! What a great establishment!!

Waxman is the standard for tuxedo rental in the city. Knowledgable staff make you feel comfortable, taken care of, and make sure every detail of your fit is perfect. Great selection of styles and always great service. They go the extra mile for their customers to accommodate every need. Cannot recommend Waxman enough to anyone for their big event. The best.

After bopping around to several different salons when I first moved to the area, I finally found this place. I've always been well taken care of at this salon. Their stylists are incredibly talented, and they really care about you being happy with how your hair looks. One thing- because they are so amazing, be sure to book far in advance, because time slots fill up quickly!
