I'm a stationery and greeting card fanatic, and this shop was just the one I was looking for. Just look at all of these cute postcards I purchased!:)
They also have office stationery, accessories, and a kids section with toys and small books... Absolutely everything is well-chosen, curated, and super adorable. I love that local artists have their work for sale here!:) Come after payday!

My friends and I were window shopping on Monday August 11th and were curious as to where the staircase next to Boutique 1861 would lead to. We soon learnt that it lead to Boudoir 1861, the bridal sister shop of Boutique 1861. We arrived close to closing time, but the two female staff were very kind and accomodating. Upon entering my eyes kept wandering to one of the dresses on a mannequin. The staff help in making sure it fit well and suited my needs, which convinced me to make the purchase. Thank you again for the friendly and welcoming customer service! Especially as a younger group it was greatly appreciated.

I hired Boudoir Studio for my wedding this past Aug 27th and it was the most perfect decision I have ever made. Xinqi is extremely meticulous and patient. It was easy to communicate with her, she always replied very quickly and answered all my questions in the most professional manner. She simplified my planning by making a schedule for the makeup times as I had many bridesmaids and family members. She did the most wonderful job on the day of. My mother, aunt and all my bridesmaids were all so happy of their makeup. Xinqi always had a lovely smile and really helped relax the atmosphere while she worked. As someone who never wears makeup, I was completely blown away by my wedding day makeup, I was so so so pleased ! I do not think I can thank Boudoir Studio enough for making my big day so perfect ! I would highly recommend her to any future brides, I will definitely think about Boudoir for my next events.

Xinqi was very professional and nice from the beginning. I had a hard time finding an Asian make-up artist that is available in the Ottawa area initially, so when I found her I was very grateful she could accommodate. Even though based in Montreal, she didn’t hesitate to be willing to come to Ottawa for my big day, even though it would be a very early day for her. During the trial she listened carefully to the style I wanted to achieve and upon showing her some pictures, she was able to execute the desired style perfectly. She did and excellent job with my hair and make-up for two different looks for the day. I have very little experience with make-up but she was able to accentuate my Asian features very well, especially for the eyes. Her husband and herself also took some very nice pictures to capture our day as a nice bonus!:) Definitely recommend!

A historical bakery tucked away in a small neighbourhood. Great cannoli (a pleasant hint of cinnamon and not too sweet). Cookies were just ok. Service is friendly and prompt.

This pastry shop is famous for italian pastry specially Cannoli and Zeppole. The first of all, the staff who are working there are very welcoming and helpful. About pastries, I have tried 2 types of cannoli , cheese cake . they were really good, delicious but not excellent. But it really worths at lesat one going there and trying their pastries. Also, the cookies seemed very tasty. next time, I will try their cookies and Tiramisu.

I ordered a BD cake for 40$ and no one could eat more than one bite. Most of it was cream not cake and it was terribly sweet. In fact, The cream was awful. Moreover, The design was not what I asked for. I wanted chocolate drops all around the cake designed by white chocolate. they gave me one with no drops and what the hell... red??? I prefer to go with one of the ordinary cakes in grocery stores.

Cute Italian bakery, easily accessible from the highway and easy to find.

We have been going here for years and love everything from their Italian pizza, paninis to pastries. It is the only bakery that we go to for cannolis they are Amazing!!!

I recently found this nice bakery near my job. I really liked the desserts I ordered and will definitely be back again to try more.

A little bakery filled with wonderful goodies for a very reasonable price! I loved the cheese crown and the apple cake, but found rugelahs to be a bit too sweet (even though I've got such a sweet tooth!). Still, I'd love to go back to try other items! The servers were not friendly or helpful - they looked rather bored/tired. Could it be that I annoyed them because I obviously didn't fit in + wanted to ask questions? I wonder.

My wife and I discovered a sweet slice of heaven while we were exploring Rue Bernard in Outremont named, Boulangerie Cheskie. This small bakery was full of customers patiently waiting to be served by the friendly staff behind the counter. There was a huge variety of baked goods and pastries to choose from, but our biggest problem was trying not to buy everything in the store because it all looked so delicious. We finally settled on some eye-catching Cheese Muffins and a decadent Chocolate Babka. These delicacies were absolutely scrumptious and we will definitely be returning for some more heavenly delights.

The chocolate covered cheesecake was 10/10 for us. We haven’t had time to try the rest, but we bought 3 mini cheesecakes, 2 large cookies, a big loaf of brown bread and a large chocolate cone filled with whipped cream $23 very reasonable imho

I visited this morning and had to leave a review. The quality of food was amazing. This was the first time I have tried chocolate babka and was blown away. It was rich, chocolatey, sweet. I honestly want to head back up there before I leave Montreal to bring some back home to Toronto.
I will return someday. This was on my list of places to visit in Montreal and it definitely did not disappoint.

Must visit place. I love this store. Best donut cake in the world. The donut cake here is my absolute favorite. The grand old lady of the restaurant makes it with so much love and care soft, creamy, and perfectly coated in chocolate with a crunch of almonds. It tastes unforgettable! I miss her.
The cookies were absolutely delicious! Freshly baked, soft inside with the perfect crunch outside. You can really taste the quality ingredients.

The vendors are really nice. Always respectful and patient. They nicely place the desserts in the box and wrap with a rope. I buy when I can because of their respectful customer service and delicious cakes!! Today I got 4 strawberry cakes, 2 croissant cakes, 2 Mille feuilles, and 1 other cake. All 9 cakes slices for 38$. Cakes are so good and not very very sweet unlike grocery stores. Just perfect taste and creamy. Love it! Thank you 🥰😊

As a photographer of over 24 years, I have seen my fair share of Patisseries and Caterers. I must say, without a doubt, that Montebello has to be my absolute favorite one.

Not only do they offer exceptional service and their presentations are beautiful, but the flavor as well and the quality of all their savoure and sweet options is simply mouthwatering!

They have become our number 1 choice for all of our celebrations and recommendations to all my couples and families.

Of course, my biggest weakness being their Zeppoles!! When it’s the season for them, do yourself a favor and order a bunch! Do not miss out on them!!

The staff is very accommodating when it comes to detailing the orders, specializing sweets, and their sweets are always fresh, zeppolis are one of my favourites. Cannolis are delicious, my go to. I would highly recommend this place and always go back.

Would have put zero but that wasn’t an option! Went to the bakery to buy a cheesecake for my grandmothers 85th birthday. The girl working confirmed that it was fresh from today even after asking twice. The cake was not fresh at all!!! Strawberries were old and cheese was so dry that it crumbled when we tried cutting it (as shown on picture). Never going here again!!! Only reason we went here is because of tour de l’Ile but waiting in traffic and detouring the city of Montreal would have been worth it for a fresh cake!

I called and spoke to someone regarding this incident! They started making excuses how the cake was over baked which caused the crumble and the strawberries were cooked with the hot jam that’s why they tasted rubbery. Not even an apology! I also sent an email and up to date no response!
Definitely never going here again !!!!!!!!!

Weve ordered cakes multiple times and they’ve always been incredibly fresh! Whenever I’ve given them a design I want they always make it even nicer than expected. Very happy 👍

I recently ordered a birthday cake from Montebello Pâtisserie and was disappointed to find it was overwhelmingly filled with cream and lacked proper sponge cake layers. While the presentation was elegant, the texture and balance were off, making it overly rich and lacking structure.

A better balance between cream and sponge would greatly enhance the experience!!!!!!!

I fell in love with a dress and ended up buying it!! Only thing is the employees were lacking is service. I didn’t take an appointment and there was 3 sales associates that were dealing with another client and I was stuck clamping my own dress and getting my own veil to try on. Instead the sales rep is snacking in front of clients instead of helping. Over all I am happy with the dress I just think the staff should be more present with the bride…

I just wanted to express how amazing my experience has been at 1861 the past several times I’ve gone! I also want to thank them for ACTUALLY being size inclusive!! I am a size 18/ 20 and normally I dread shopping because there is not enough selection in my size and it’s usually not very fashionable or stylish. But this wasn’t the case for me yesterday. Two women really took care of me and found a selection of 10 dresses I could try on! Now, not all of them fit but I actually had some amazing choices! I am elated at the dress I found as well as the entire shopping experience, I am so grateful!

I have also had many great past shopping experiences and have brought several friends to buy dresses here. It never disappoints! Highly recommended!

What makes this store stand out is their service. I bought a dress in May for an event in Greece in August and I only just re-tried it on to find out it doesn’t fit, with two days until my trip! Rookie mistake! I reached out to their team as they still have this dress in the size I need and Lily went above and beyond by listening, emphasizing and escalating to store management to see if they could exceptionally help me. I bought a wrong dress for a marriage. I came back to return it and find the right dress for me. The workers were so kind and helpful both times I bought the dress. They helped me find the right one and I am so happy with my experience. I love my dress!!

I went to the boutique chic pas cher and i was amaze by the service of the girls. They where nice and knew what they where talking about. I was on a low budget and i was still able to buy a gorgeous dress in my budget. Their prices where really affordable for the high quality of their dresses. They are not pushy and make sure you are taking care of. It was a 10/10 experience and i recommande that boutique 100%.

The lady went out of her way to find me dresses in my size and she gave me her critique (in a nice way) which I liked to have others opinions. I found my dress and she loved it on me and loved my shoes that went with it. Any other dress I
tried on, she didn't react like she did with my dress. They were all nice there and their dresses are the cheapest you'll find for dream prom dresses.

We found my sisters dream dress here for prom, the selection is great and the prices are so reasonable. Customer service was great and they made my sister feel like a princess. Id recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful dress.

After reading the reviews, I was expecting awful service, but they were very nice and helpful.
The only reason I'm giving this store a 3 star review, is because they don't allow the customers (mostly young girls going to prom) to take pictures. This is 2022 and your customers are shopping for GOWNS- probably dresses they will only wear once in their lives. My daughter couldn't even see how the back of the dress looked, because they only have fwd facing mirror. We decided not to buy at this store simply because my daughter couldn't film herself wearing the dress.

Highly recommend Boutique JAdore!! They were amazing and extremely helpful in a stressful situation. My original wedding dress from a different store arrived and was the wrong size and not fixable - I was able to get a same day appointment at JAdore and found my true dream dress that same day! I was able to buy it off the rack as my wedding was 2 months away. The alterations were perfect as well, and I had the dress home with me about 3 weeks after choosing it! I could not have asked for a better experience while in a stressful situation trying to find a new dress 2 months before my wedding! 💒

I bought my wedding dress from J'adore over a couple years ago already, but have not stopped singing Kathleen's praises. The entire experience was lovely, personalized and professional. The selection of dresses was beautiful and although I went to a few other fittings elsewhere, I ultimately came back to buy the first dress I had tried on here.

I had a shirt, pants, and jacket fitted here approximately a year ago. The young lady (blonde hair) who works here was extremely patient and helpful. I cannot recall the last time I received such great service. Additionally, their tailor is meticulous. The jacket needed to be adjusted at the sleeves and waist, and the shirt needed to be adjusted at the sleeves. The alterations look like they were done at the factory.

I ordered my Jack Victor pinstripe double breasted suit (42R) and it fit me perfectly. The quality is outstanding and the service was impeccable.

I had a very disappointing experience with this store. I placed an item in my cart while it was on sale, and when I came back the next day, the price had gone up even though the sale was still showing. I called customer service, and instead of trying to help, the response was simply “this is normal.” No effort was made to honor the original price I had seen, and there was zero concern for customer satisfaction. This shows a lack of transparency and respect for customers. Definitely not a store I would trust or recommend.

Ordered 7 pairs of socks online. Two large snuck into the order as a result of unclear visibility of sizes when browsing.

Customer service advises no exchanges or returns on socks (even when in full unopened packaging).

While I understand the practice, the fact that these items are final sale should have been clearly communicated. The only place this appears on the website is the very last line of the refund policy. Who has the time to read all that? When a website promises "hassle free returns", you shouldn't have to.

I ordered an Anderson’s belt from Boutique Jacques—something I couldn’t find anywhere in the U.S.—and was delighted by the experience. They had it in stock, shipped it promptly, and even included a handwritten note thanking me for my purchase. This place has a very good selection of party supplies. The piñata options are limited if you get what they have in store but orders can be placed. Still, with the options that there are in store, you can find a few good options depending on what you are looking for. There are also good choices for other things. I would recommend this place if the location is convenient, but it is not necessarily a one stop shop if your needs are very specific.

Had such a great experience at La Boutique La perle. We were there to buy a wedding dress for my friend, and the saleswoman-Lena- was incredible! she was super helpful, had great advice and a solution to any "problem" we had. overall she made the experience amazing!

Had a great stay at Milton Parc Hotel in Montreal! The room was spacious and clean, with everything we needed—from full kitchen and bathroom supplies to comfortable furnishings. Loved how close it was to parking and a nearby grocery store—super convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

We have been to Montreal serveral times and stayed at different accommodations than Milton Parc, this was our first time there. It will not be our last!! The space we had was enormous, beautiful, clean, quiet, everything you would like your home away from home to be!!!! The rooftop deck was amazing!
We arrived in Montreal, we were supposed to check our bags at a local Luggage Hero, however it was Labour Day, they were closed. I called the number for Milton Parc, a lovely gentleman got us in our unit a little early. That was a life saver. All of this made us realise that this place is perfect!! Will we come back to this place? YES, YES we will!!!!! **One more thing, the pictures do not do this place justice. It's beautiful!!!** Thank you!!

The stay was excellent, the apartment with the loft was an excellent stay for two people. Good value and close to a lot of key spots in Montreal. The area does have some homeless people but aside from that there's some good restaurants very close and a grocery store on the corner so it's not a bad area.

was here with my family for four days, and check-in was easy. They were always attentive and offered us a free cleaning! The location was exceptional; everything was very close. I would definitely recommend it and would definitely stay at the Milton Parc Hotel again.

This place is amazing, the only reason for 3 stars instead of 5 is based on how clean this place was. Sheets were stained, we found old finger nails beside the couch, and dust/hair frequently on surfaces. Everything else was great, just a bit more attention to detail from the cleaners would have gone a long way!

Yasmine is a genius! Lustre was recommended to me for my bridal outfit by two different people that I trust implicitly, so it was obvious where I was going to go. I tried on a few dresses at some big dress shops but nothing felt right. When I met with Yasmine for a consultation, it was like magic, she was putting me in this skirt and then that top etc., and the resulting design was a total collaboration between the two of us. The whole process to trying on the final outfit was so unbelievably easy, especially since I trusted Yasmine completely. I was so entirely enamored with the final outfit, I felt so totally me just elevated, exactly what I had dreamed of. I was comfortable all night too! I can't wait to get the outfit dyed so I can wear it again!

When I first found Boutique Lustre on instagram I was stuck on what I wanted for my wedding. Yasmine’s friendly posts and passion for her art really sold me on a visit. I’m so glad I walked in years ago, because it was an absolute dream to work with her. The team is kind, thoughtful, and supportive in your vision and how you feel in the dress. My wedding dress was beautiful, colourful, and comfortable!! Highly recommended for wedding and other occasions.

I've been buying pieces from Lustre's regular collections for year, and love them and wear them nearly daily BUT this is a review specifically for Lustre's bridal work. Yasmine is a genius and her whole team is fantastic. My wedding outfit was a bit of a project - altering a vintage family dress to be a skirt, and then creating a top to match. Prior to visiting Boutique Lustre, I was struggling to find a Canadian wedding dress in my budget. I ended up trying on dress after dress that felt plasticky and cheap despite the huge price tag. Working with Yasmin was an incredible experience. She knows her dresses!! We tried many different combinations of material, tops and bottoms to create the dress of my dreams. My dress was simple, romantic and timeless thanks to Yasmin. The material was silk backed crepe which feels like BUTTER. On the hanger it feels heavy, but Yasmin knows just how to cut it to make it float as you walk. I had two fittings and picked up the dress about a month from the wedding date.
I sadly don't have a picture of the night before the wedding, but I also wore a dress from Boutique Lustre. I have loved getting to know Yasmin and her shop and I know I will be a customer for life!

Horrible customer service: either you get no attention or they are outright rude and tell you that "there is nothing in your size". And I know my sizes in most Italian and European brands. Basically avoid at all costs, there are other better stores in the city that carry same or similar quality garments at better prices and definely better at customer service.
