The venue is beautiful, service so so. Cocktail started but drinks are not ready, once ready, no indicator what drinks they have - after asking - simply water, cranberry juice and orange juice. Indoor banquet hall is pretty nice though. Women’s room paper towel dispenser does not work though

I recently attended a wedding at the Royal Ambassador Banquet Hall in Caledon East, and I was honestly blown away by how beautiful and well-organized everything was. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt like something out of a movie—absolutely picturesque with its stunning lakeside views, elegant gardens, and peaceful surroundings. It truly felt like a destination wedding without ever leaving the GTA.

The ceremony by the lake 🐟was breathtaking. The gazebo, the water in the background, and the natural greenery created the perfect romantic setting. The outdoor space was well-maintained, with plenty of shaded areas and spots for photos. Every guest I spoke to was impressed!

Inside, the reception hall was elegant and spacious. with beautiful lighting, great acoustics, and a setup that felt both luxurious and comfortable. 😌The staff were professional and attentive—they made sure every table had what it needed, and I really appreciated how smoothly everything flowed from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing.

The food was surprisingly good (banquet food can be hit or miss, but this was a definite hit!). The appetizers were tasty, the dinner was served hot and on time, and the dessert was delicious. I also appreciated that they handled dietary restrictions well—my table had a few special requests, and they were accommodated without any issue.

If I had to mention one thing to improve, it would just be clearer signage for guests when arriving, especially if multiple events are going on at once. But aside from that small detail, everything else was truly exceptional.

Would I recommend it? 100% yes.

Whether you're planning a wedding or just lucky enough to attend one, the Royal Ambassador makes it a memorable experience. I’d gladly return for another event here anytime.

We were there for an outdoor wedding with breakfast and lunch.
Venue is amazing on a lake, the food was also great, the dining hall is nicely decorated and can accommodate a lot of guests. Staff at the site was amazing as well. A well kept property and their lawns and greenery is very well manicured. Lots of options to take pictures with the family. There is ample free parking as well.

Great store with wide range of selection of chandeliers/pendants. We are very pleased with their price matching and ability to order in styles if not on the floor, and the ordering service is very efficient. Their customer service is very professional, especially Shawn has been amazing to us! Highly recommended!

I purchased several exquisite light fixtures for my condominium over a two month period. Thank you to the fantastic and knowledgeable Ebony. She was exceptional. When the time came to install one of the light fixtures, the instruction sheet was not very clear. My contractor called the store and one of the sales/service associates, Nigel, called him back on Wattsapp and spent an hour with him and walked him through every step of the installation. Outstanding after sales service. I would give Royal Lighting a 10 star review for everything. Thank you so much.

I recently attended an event at The Royal Venetian in Aurora, and I can honestly say it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The venue itself is stunning — elegant, spacious, and beautifully maintained. It felt welcoming the moment I walked in, and everything about the space created the perfect atmosphere for the event.

The staff went above and beyond in every way. They were attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. The bartender was outstanding — not only quick and efficient, but also warm and engaging, making everyone feel taken care of. The management team was equally impressive, ensuring everything ran smoothly and making sure all of our needs were met throughout the night. It’s clear they truly care about the guest experience.

And the food — absolutely amazing. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. You could tell there was real attention to detail in the preparation, and it made the dining experience just as memorable as the rest of the evening.

My husband and I got married here in June and our day was perfect. If you’re considering this venue, do it!!

We dealt with Gianluca throughout our process and felt looked after & at ease the whole time. We also worked with Samantha closer to our date and she is so kind, professional and helpful. We felt at ease through the whole planning process. From the initial meetings, to the menu tasting, to the menu selection, dealing with allergies/preferences, seating arrangements and even helping us store DIYs the day before the wedding, we felt taken care of and at ease.

We had our ceremony and reception here and the terrace was the perfect place to do it. The rooftop is well manicured and very clean, and the pavilion is the perfect covered/shaded area to say “I do” under.

We had hand passed hors d’ouvres during cocktail hour. Our dinner started with an antipasto plate, then we had pasta. After that, we had braised short rib with green beans & duchess potatoes. For dessert we had the ice cream crepe. We had 2 late night stations (sliders & waffles) that were a big hit. The open bar was a huge hit as well, and the bartender Francis was very friendly and efficient! The food was fantastic and our guests are still talking about it 3 months later!

Gianluca, Samantha and the whole team at the Royal Venetian made our day perfect and working with them was so amazing. It was truly a day we will never forget and we couldn’t have had a more perfect venue.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Royal Venetian in May and we were absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out. Gianluca was our main point of contact, and even though we emailed, called and visited several times leading up to the wedding, he was always so helpful and patient with us. On the day of the wedding everything was perfect, from cocktails on the terrace to the amazing dinner service (we recommend the short rib!). For a 250+ person wedding, one of the nice attributes of the hall is that it is not shared, you get the entire venue to yourself. We will certainly be returning for additional events in the future!

We had our 65th birthday celebration last night at the Royal Venetian Mansion.
What an amazing time! Our host Josh made sure everything went smoothly and the staff were attentive and helpful all around. Friendly and engaging bar staff ensured everyone had fun. Raquel was the first person we hired for our wedding after getting engaged and I could not be happier that we did!! Raquel is amazing! Besides her always going above and beyond to deliver, she is exceptionally professional, organized, detail oriented, and responsive. We hired Raquel from RSG Events for my daughter’s wedding… and she was there more than a year ago, helping the young couple decide on their ideal venue. It went from a smaller, intimate ceremony to a destination wedding — which had to be cancelled due to covid. Raquel was there throughout our journey and helped with our final decision on a much larger wedding, at a local venue the following year.

From our initial consultation, we were already impressed by her understanding of all the different visions and her ability to recall all the details and help create a magical day.

I never realized how Raquel’s role also included being a fabulous therapist! She was able to calm everyone as needed — from months before the wedding to issues that pop up during the day of the wedding — Raquel handled everything seamlessly and helped us have the most beautiful wedding. This isn’t always easy when dealing with 3 different sets of parents, but Raquel made us all feel inclusive and heard.

Raquel’s work didn’t end on the wedding day, as she is still wonderfully being our advocate with issues that arose with a vendor. I highly recommend Raquel and her team from RSG Events!

I ate today! Sea Bass was tender and flavorful. I wanted more! The desserts were solid, I was really happy with the cheesecake with a little brownie on top. Service was top notch.

We had a delightful meal. From the welcome at the door, the service was fabulous. Each course was excellent. We had the Caesar salad (uniquely presented), calamari and two mains; rack of lamb and gnocchi. Half the gnocchi and chicken came home with me! Saved a little room for dessert - cheesecake and crême brûlée.

There’s a reason this restaurant has been here for 15 years. The service is above and beyond here. They treat you so well and genuinely want you to have the best experience. As soon as we sat down they gave us a 1oz glass of sparkling wine, which was so unexpected. To start we had the mussels, honestly I haven’t had better mussels in my life. For the mains we had the whole sea bass and the special that night, which was the lamb shank. The lamb actually came with 2 shanks! The food was so so good. I highly recommend this place as the food and service is top tier. 100% I will be back!

Such an amazing restaurant - I'm from Spain and it's so difficult to have a great plate of fish in Toronto without asking for a mortgage. But in Rush Hour you can have that, and good Portuguese wine, topped with a delicious dessert - all for an unbeatable price. And besides that, the people there are so nice, making you feel at home. We really didn't want to plan a big wedding and just get our immediate families and a few friends together to share a delicious meal. We couldn't have been happier with Alo Salon. The food was incredible (we did five courses with wine pairing). The adults sat at the main table and we had the kids in a booth (there was a kids menu as well). We started with canapés and cocktails (out of this world) until the officiant came in to marry us before the sit down dinner. The pace of the dinner was on the mark, allowing everyone to move around and socialize between courses. Lyvia was very helpful and responsive in planning the event and Will presented the food and wine beautifully. Location was great: you could see the crowds pass by on the pedestrian walkway from one side of the table and from the other, you could watch the bustling kitchen while each course was being prepared. The florist they provided was A +++. A truly magical evening

The service is extremely professional, the cleanliness is unparalleled, its a humble but classy decor and the fixed meals will have something for everyone to love.
While I'm sure the menu changes, the king oyster mushrooms were a show stopper paired with the beef tenderloin. I would order those mushrooms by themselves as they would pair with any protein!

The two gentlemen running front of house and bar were very personable and especially the fella running the bar with the beard and notable mustache was a joy-- quick witted, recommended excellent drinks, our group were big fans. I'm ashamed I did not catch their names.

You can see the kitchen team preparing your meals from behind a metal grate in a tiny 3 person prep area behind the bar, which I like and hate-- but it adds to the unique environment and makes the space feel larger.

If you have the opportunity to experience Alo Salon, I'd highly recommend it and it was very intimate feeling for a small-medium group (we only had around 15 people, they state they can support up to 34).

Impeccable in every way. The Alo Salon team catered 2 private events in our home in the past few months - my son's 1st birthday and a business dinner with 30 guests. Salon is a great option for food and wine at the heart of Yorkville. It's open for lunch, dinner and private dining as well. We enjoyed the hamachi sashimi, veal sweetbreads and various mini cake cakes from the dessert cart. Highly recommended.

Long overdue review from me. Not many hair salons like Solis left. Coming out of some of the most prestigious salons in the city, Ernesto and Dino have been in the business for 2 decades now and their skills show. So many stylists can make you look good for a few hours. With Ernesto, my cuts are always low maintenance and just grow out beeeaaaautifully. If that isn't the mark of a top stylist, I don't know what is. I'm kind of glad they're on the second floor since it's hard enough to book them as it is!

For our engagement shoot, Samir recommended Athena Dress Rentals in Toronto, where we rented a stunning gown with a 10 foot train, and then Samir and his team proposed an out of town location at Algonquin Park. The contrast between the high-class gown and the rugged nature of a mountain trail resulted in some breathtaking photos that we absolutely adore!

On our wedding day, Samir and Faisal were snapping pics non-stop from morning to night. We had a fusion wedding in Mississauga that combined Hindu and Christian traditions, and that meant 2 sets of outfits, 2 first look photos, 2 rounds of family pictures and on top of that we had this crazy idea that we wanted a group shot with all 200 of our guests! Not only did Samir capture all of that and more, he kept us calm and on schedule throughout the day (he even gave us a ride back from the park we were shooting at when there wasn't enough room for the bride and groom in any of our families' vehicles lol) :P

Our third shoot was a Trash the Dress shoot where again, Samir willing embraced our crazy idea of going to an art studio and throwing buckets of paint at each other in our formal wear. I'm sure other photographers would have turned us down for this odd request, but the team from Samir K Photography was up for the challenge and got some incredible shots of us being our weird and silly selves!

Sana decor is AMAZING! I can’t write a good enough review of them, they went above and beyond. They did our Mandap and reception decor and it was gorgeous. All our guests were asking about the decor. My husband and I were married at Berkeley Church in March 2017.

We were so over the moon with our customized service! In our initial meeting Sarah gave us a questionnaire to fill out and asked us many questions about our relationship, family and wedding plans. She was very knowledgeable about the wedding industry and was able to provide us with lots of quality vendor recommendations as well as general support.

In our second meeting she ran through her draft of the service, taking into account our details and stories from the questionnaire and our conversations. Every word was “us”! The service was totally customized. Many of our friends and family commented on how unique and personal it was.

My husband and I wrote our own vows and kept them a secret until the day. Sarah read them ahead of time and offered guidance, making sure they were similar in length and tone. Everything about the legal parts of the wedding process (including our license, marriage certificate etc) was well explained. Sarah made sure to have a general understanding of our wedding day dynamics. Getting details about our wedding party and immediate family so she could better navigate the day.

A few months later we attended a friend’s wedding that Sarah also officiated (because they had been at out wedding and loved her!) … It was so nice to hear that their service was totally different from ours!! It made it all the more beautiful to us.

My first positive dress shopping experience! My stylist was Georgette and she was so incredibly helpful, encouraging, knowledgeable, and fun to shop with! Her attention to detail and understanding of bridal styles helped me narrow down my super broad ideas to what I wanted. The appointment wasn’t rushed and she wasn’t trying to make a sale and kick us out. She really listened and tailored the dresses she picked to what I was feeling or not. I did not find my dress here but it wasn’t because of a lack of dress selection or a bad stylist, I just decided to get a traditional dress made instead. There are so many different beautiful dresses here with a great size range and great price points too! I’m talking amazing high fashion, high quality gowns at affordable prices. This was also the first time I was able to try on all of the dresses in my size! 1000/10 experience at Sash and Bustle!

Every bride should check this boutique out when dress shopping. Maybe even make it your first stop and save yourself the trouble because it was such a great experience.

Full stars for everything. From the dress catalog to the service, everything was amazing. The stylist was Maemae and she truly made this experience one to remember forever. My friend was stuck between 2 beautiful options and Maemae was able to help guide her to choosing the best dress for her. We did decide to take some time to think on it, and they were so accommodating to let us come back later in the afternoon. We loved that there were private rooms for each of the brides to be and their group. It really set the experience apart from the other boutiques we went to. The selection of dresses was amazing. Can’t wait to come back when the rest of us get engaged

I went here for my first bridal shopping experience and I had such a positive and fun time! Justice was so helpful with figuring out what silhouettes and fabrics I liked - it's so different looking at a photo online versus it being on your body. I was able to try on about 10 dresses total, and I left with the names of my 3 favourites! I wasn't ready to purchase as it was my first visit, but I would definitely come back here. I had a wonderful experience finding my dress at Sash & Bustle! I truly believe that the consultant makes or breaks the appointment, and Georgette was absolutely fantastic. She listened to my preferences when deciding what dresses to put me into, but also used her creativity to pick out the perfect dress for me! She interacted with my entire party, including my family on FaceTime, and made us all feel so welcome. The entire appointment was so professional and polished - we all left feeling very happy!

The space is extremely comfortable - we had our own private room with plenty of seating, great air conditioning, and lots of natural light for photos.

From the very beginning, they were eager to get to know me, and on the day of my appointment, they had already prepared the perfect selection of gowns that suited my style. Most of all, thanks to my stylist Georgette’s professionalism and attention to detail, I was able to try on all the dresses I had hoped for. We went to this place with my friends for lunch, and it was such a great experience. The atmosphere was really pleasant and welcoming, perfect for a casual celebration.

I especially loved the taste of the lamb — it was flavorful and cooked perfectly. There was also a starter that had a cucumber-like taste, which was very unique and refreshing. I highly recommend trying it!

Overall, it’s a charming spot with a nice vibe and delicious food. Definitely worth visiting.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL experience! Our server, Derek, was an absolute delight and set the tone for our entire brunch experience. His joy & personality was the perfect touch to our meal. We recently dined at Sassafraz on Cumberland St. to celebrate my wife's birthday. The atmosphere was bright, packed, and welcoming, though admittedly a bit noisy due to the lively crowd.

We had a little celebration beforehand and came in ready to enjoy a full meal—and Sassafraz didn’t disappoint in that regard. We ordered appetizers, mains, and desserts, and everything was palatable and delicious. The waiter was caring and devoted, though we could feel a slight sense of rush, probably due to how busy the place was.

One small letdown: I had called ahead and mentioned it was my wife’s birthday, and they had promised to bring a macaron with a candle—unfortunately, that was overlooked.

Overall, I really liked the food and the vibrant ambiance. The only drawback was the missed birthday gesture, which would’ve made the experience even more memorable.

Wow! Saturday Night Jive absolutely blew the roof off the wedding we attended last night at Copper Creek Golf Club. From start to finish they didn’t miss a beat. The band was so talented, engaging and full of energy, and they had everyone on the dance floor all night. I truly wish I knew about them for when I had my own wedding!!

Their harmonies were beautiful, the music selection was spot on and you could really feel how much they love what they do. On top of that, they kept the night flowing so smoothly with their presence and personality which made everything even more enjoyable.

If you want a band that will create an unforgettable experience for you and your guests, I cannot recommend Saturday Night Jive enough. They truly helped make the wedding an incredible celebration. I will literally be recommending them to everyone and anyone! Seriously don’t even think twice I’ve never seen a better performance and I have seen a ton in my outings, events and many travels. I truly think they need a record deal of sorts!!

A MUST GO-TO IN TORONTO!!!! Truly had the best experience working with Savoir Bridal, they're selection of gowns is exceptional and the quality is 10/10. At Savoir, they allow you to "custom order the size to your measurements" instead of ordering from a traditional size chart - this saved me SO much money in alterations.

Anna is one of the kindest people I have met. We had an unfortunate DHL shipping delay (out of Savoir's control) and Anna was working around the clock to ensure my dress made it to Canada on time for my wedding (literally she would respond to my emails within 30mins at any time of day/night)! She truly treated my dress as if it was her own wedding dress. She understood my concerns/fears/joys. She made the entire experience smooth from the first appointment to the final pickup.
