I absolutely adore Connie and June, the two sisters who run the store. Connie helped my mom and I find our dresses for my wedding this July, and she was so wonderful in updating me when the dresses were ready. Both Connie and June helped to do our fittings to ensure that the dresses fit perfectly. They gave such great advice during our fittings - how to put on the dresses properly, how to bustle the dress (the bustle they created was beautiful!!), etc... The seamstress that they work with is impeccable - such amazing handiwork done on the dresses, as my mom and I are both petit women. Connie and June are so so kind and patient, and we just absolutely enjoyed working with them!

Amy is amazing! She is so talented and experienced and I trusted her completely. After a brief description, Amy was able to style exactly what I was hoping for and I was so so happy. I also had to prep my hair beforehand (super curly hair) and the roots were still a bit crimped in photos (even right after styling before sweating) which was a bit disappointing.

I got married at the end of October, 2022 and choosing Katie for my hair was one of the highlights of my wedding day. Katie is one of the most professional hairstylists that I've ever worked with and goes above and beyond for her clients. On the day of my wedding, the power went out in our Airbnb and she somehow managed to make it all worked and was so patient. The circumstances on the morning of were so chaotic but Katie managed to do everyone's hair (all 6 of us) like a pro. Everyone's hair turned out SO gorgeous! As the bride, Katie took so much time and care to complete my hairstyle and even stayed longer to assist when the photographer came and made sure my hair looked perfect. She even stayed longer to touch up everyone's hair. I booked Bridal Secretary for bridal trial and wedding day hair/makeup. My eyes are quite sensitive (and I don't typically wear makeup), and Betty made sure I was comfortable and relaxed as she offered me choices for eye liner / eye lid tape / mascara / fake eyelash. She was so gentle and patient, and listened to my preferences while encouraging me to try different looks and hair styles. We had our wedding this weekend and ordered orchids for our centrepieces from Broadview Flower Market and they were breathtaking. Livia was so easy to work with, sourced us beautiful gold pots and the best two stem orchids. Even better, 2 days before our wedding our florist for the ceremony canceled. Within 40 minutes Livia helped get us all the flowers for our ceremony and I could not be more grateful! This is a wonderful local business - please buy your flowers here!

The ladies at Broadview flower market always outdo themselves. This is my go to spot for flowers in the city, and I have picked out floral arrangements for so many special occasions from here. There is such a large selection of flowers at this store for a decent price, with so many finishing options for paper and ribbon. Located right near Broadview station, it is ttc accessible and on the Danforth as well. I have literally never left this place without a beautiful bouquet, and I always get compliments from strangers in public when having an arrangement from this place!

I have always wondered what it was the made people rate jewelry stores highly. After all, engagement rings are very expensive and one would expect white glove service when making a big decision such as this. Despite my very high expectations and general skepticism based on my experience with other jewellers through my inquiries, I was blown away by the Budget Diamonds Online team, especially Marjana. Fantastic local business selling custom made jewelery at fair prices. They had a great selection of diamonds at various price points to choose from. These guys are the real deal - the first thing you see when you walk in is the workbench where they will make your ring.

Marjana's customer service was exemplary. She sat down with us and showed us every style of band, setting and gem until we were absolutely sure of what we wanted. I loved being able to specify every detail of the ring from the size of the diamond, to the alloy and of course the style of band and setting. The entry line moved very quickly, and there are parking options nearby, which was convenient. Inside, there are plenty of food and drink choices, but I was surprised not to find regular still or sparkling water. I really like the open-air concept - it’s such a great way to enjoy concerts and events in the summer. The grounds can feel a little bit confusing to navigate, and the seating is a bit tight, but overall it’s a good venue.

I've been to several concerts at Budweiser Stage, most recently to see the Barenaked Ladies, and it's generally a well organized venue. Getting in is a breeze, with quick ticket scanning, and the seating layout is straightforward, making it easy to find your spot.
While I've tried various seats closer to the main stage, I actually find the lawn seating more comfortable. As a taller individual, the stadium chairs can feel quite cramped, making it tough to fully enjoy a show for more than a couple of hours. The lawn offers more space and a refreshing breeze, which significantly enhances the experience.
The main downside here is the price of food and beer – it's quite steep. However, the venue's efficiency and the overall atmosphere for live music are strong positives. Just keep your seating preference in mind for the best experience!

The Who for the 16th and last time! Roger’s voice was incredible, Pete was amazing on guitar and the rest of the band filled in beautifully! 🇨🇦n Tom Cochrane opened with a fantastic set! Great to run into an old high school friend who was at the “Original” final show at Maple Leaf Gardens back in the early 80s!

Had a great experience at Budweiser Stage! The venue was clean, the seats were fairly comfortable, and the sound quality was excellent — you can really feel the energy of the performance. The lighting during the show was also a highlight, adding a lot to the overall vibe.

Before entering, there are plenty of spots to grab some junk food and drinks, which is perfect for setting the mood. There are washrooms available, but I do think they could use a few more — the lines were quite long at times.

Parking was convenient with lots of Green P paid parking options nearby, which made getting in and out pretty smooth. Overall, a great venue for live music!

Great stage, amazing acoustics for concerts. Not all seats are sheltered from weather and unlike events running in sporting arenas, you can enjoy the performance while sitting on the lawn.
All staff was super friendly and helpful.
The VIP / American Express lounge is very cozy and has some additional food options.

This was my second time trying the slice cake and I am absolutely love these cakes. The first time I showed up and the sliced cakes were almost sold out. This time around I placed an order online and picked up my order today. I purchased Salted Caramel Carrot Cake & Strawberry shortcake. I was welcomed and the atmosphere was awesome. I will most definitely order a bigger cake. I most definitely recommend 🤎

I came into the shop and purchased two cake slices, a brownie and banana pudding.
The owner is very kind and helpful, the store is very clean and organized.

Sorrel and raspberry cake slice - I will not lie, this cake was dry. The flavouring of the ingredients was amazing but hard to appreciate when the cake itself is so dry, even down to the icing. I let it sit out for 2 hours so idk if maybe it was just a bad batch?

The carrot cake however, was one of the BEST cakes I’ve ever had in my entire life. So moist, full of flavour and the perfect caramel ratio! Never had a carrot cake so light and delicious. Really enjoyed that slice and if I ever did come back, that would be the one I’d get. Highly recommend. 11/10!!

S’mores brownie - amazing concept but I found the brownie to be a bit cakey which is fine, my family are I guess more fudgy brownie folks. But good chocolate flavour, the marshmallow on top was nice too.

And finally the banana pudding - I wanted to love this, I really did but I have beef with banana pudding that doesn’t have bananas IN it. Again, personal preference I suppose The flavour was good but not as banana forward as I’d like (again, for obvious reasons) but the pudding texture was nice and the cookies on top were still crunchy after a full day in the fridge.

Overall I like the spot, I’m a big advocate for supporting small business especially when they’re female and poc owned. I will be back for that carrot cake in the future.

Got a vegan/gluten free chocolate cake slice and wow it was so delicious. The flavour of the cake was great and the icing was amazing! My family couldn’t tell it was gluten free or vegan. My only feedback was the cake was a bit dry.

I don't live downtown nor do I drive, so it took me 2 hours to get here and I was a bit disappointed with my overall experience.

I bought 4 brownies and the caramel banana pudding. The banana pudding was great, gave most of it to my sister who lives for banana pudding and she loved it. 10/10 for that.

The brownies I bought were:
Cornflake, Red Velvet, S'mores, and the Everything brownie.

Cornflake: This is truly the brownie I came down for. I saw the malted cornflakes and I knew I had to have it. It was as good as it looks too. 10/10

S'mores: The homemade marshmellow was perfect, wow. And the graham cracker bottom was great too. It was so fudgy as well. 10/10

Everything: The pretzel on top tasted stale. You know how left out pretzels get that damp kind of texture to it? That's how it was. It was not crunchy at all. I also didn't really like the add-ins inside the brownie either. I gave this one to my mom but she didn't like it either as she found it to be too sweet, which definitely wasn't an issue for me personally. 5/10 since it wasn't the taste for anyone in my household.

Red Velvet: I had high hopes for this one. The cream cheese was great; I took some of it off so I could eat it after I finished the brownie. The brownie was thick and fudgy too, but like the Everything brownie, it had a lot going on texture wise that I just really didn't like. I wondered if there was walnuts or some other kind of nut in the brownie. I am not allergic to most nuts, but I do not eat nuts. And with every bite, there was just something hard in the brownie, it bothered me so much... If not nuts, I wonder if there is something freeze dried in it? Either way, it was disappointing to eat.. 6/10

Overall, it's obvious these brownies are made with high quality ingredients and they're very thick and fudgy. It's just that some were a sensory nightmare for me.

The owner of BAS is so charismatic on social media but walking into the quiet quaint store, not being greeted, and talking to an employee in the middle of their lunch break (?) who came off like they didn't want to be there was a bit off putting. Her magnetic charm on social media doesn't really translate to the overall ambience of the store, but honestly that's not her fault.

Would I come back? Yes. Would I take another 2 hour transit ride to come back? Absolutely not. Do I think she needs to start selling those malted cornflakes on their own? Also yes! I even took some of the cornflake topping off to eat after I finished the brownie.

Overall experience was average. The ones that were good were really good. The ones that weren't so good were still high quality. This is a place worth going to if you already live downtown.

We stayed at By The Park on June 11, and it more than satisfied our needs for a spot close to hospital. Margo and Ziggy are gracious hosts, breakfast was excellent. I was also impressed with their home, which they transformed into the beautiful historic building it is now. We heartily recommend By The Park.

We had a wonderful 5 days here! The place was spotless, cozy, and full of character. Margo and Ziggy were incredibly welcoming and caring. We felt like at home. Breakfast each morning was fresh, delicious, and made with care. The location was perfect too—peaceful yet close enough to downtown. Our windows were facing High Park and we were within 3 min walk from Keele TTC Station on Bloor St W.

My friend and I stayed at By the Park Bed & Breakfast when Taylor Swift was in town and our experience could not have been better! Our hosts were knowledgeable and very helpful with all of our questions about navigating in and out of the downtown core on a very busy weekend. The room was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed breakfast every morning. All other rooms were also booked by Taylor Swift fans which created a fun and unique environment. Margo and Ziggy were so very kind and welcoming. The location was also excellent, as we were in close walking distance to both the nearest subway and UP express stations. We will definitely recommend By the Park B&B to any family or friends travelling to Toronto in the future!

Great Scott, this theatre was stunning! Last week, I attended a viewing of Back to the Future: The Musical. Both the theater and the show exceeded all my expectations. The theatre felt both classic and modern, and the prices were fair, with good service, bathrooms on both levels, and the atmosphere was lively and exciting! The show was absolutely brilliant. Bravo to the cast and crew for putting together such a wonderful show and honoring the Back to the Future franchise for the 40th anniversary! The performances were excellent, the effects were wicked, and the audience, from what I could tell, loved it. No wonder this award-winning show is so highly acclaimed. 11/10!

What a classic, beautiful theatre in the heart of downtown Toronto. Such a throwback to a time when they built things a lot nicer. Theatre was very clean and well kept. Modern bathrooms and the seats were comfortable. The drink prices were surprisingly fair as well. If you have the chance you should definitely come visit for a show and to see the theatre itself.

One of Toronto’s most iconic theatres, the Mirvish flagship (formerly known under several names) is a stunning venue that has hosted some of the city’s most impressive productions - the one I experienced most recently was Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The architecture alone is worth the visit, and the atmosphere adds magic to every show. Mirvish continues to deliver unforgettable experiences in one of the most beautiful theatres around.

Fantastic theatre. Very clean. The decor is from another time, absolutely beautiful. All seats have a great view. Lots of bathrooms and drink bars. Reasonable prices on drinks and food. We parked at the Eaton center and walked across the street to the theatre.

It was a truly wonderful experience. The scenery was breathtaking, and the atmosphere was vibrant. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves. However, it is important to exercise caution and be mindful of your belongings to avoid any potential issues with pickpockets.

Vibe is great, went there to see Kehlani perform. Food and drinks are a bit over the top. Most food are $15+. Plenty of parking since it’s $30 cash, $32 card - no ins and outs otherwise you have to pay again to enter and park. Would go there again just for the vibe and great views off the city.

My bestie and I came to Cabana during caribana festival to see Kehlani. ID, security and ticket scan once you arrive. The place is simple enough to navigate with multiple washrooms that are kept clean. There is a couple bars to order drinks, the price is slightly steep ($25 for two drinks) and a snack bar to order food, which is reasonably priced ($25 for nachos, 20 for pizza). The music can be heard all throughout the space, and its vibes on vibes. It can be challenging to find a place to set up, sit and get comfy as guests fill up areas for bottle service. At one point we had found a place to sit however were asked to leave for a group ordering bottle service. Eventually, we secured a day bed located by the pool, which was great for views of the sky and sunset. There are numerous places for photo opportunities with a swing and sign once you come in, pictures by the deck with toronto skyline serving as the background.
We thought the space might feel too crowded however it held many people and still felt like we had our own space to move.
We did go in the pool, it isn’t deep, I am 5’7” and can stand with the water reaching my chest. There is also ledge around the outside if you do not want to fully step into the depths of the pool. The pool was refreshing on a hot summers day.
For the event itself, I was disappointed as kehlani only played 3 songs - tickets were $71 plus tax with service charge. I would return again, as it’s a great way to spend the afternoon in the summer, giving feels of a resort (think all inclusive pool + bar) with immaculate vibes. I would not return again for an event like kehlani. I do believe because it was caribana weekend, it created even better atmosphere as people showed up in their outfits from the parade and were there to celebrate their culture & heritage.

We brought tickets to see a boggie with the da hoodie for July 26 at 1 pm. And what a disappointment. We got there for 3:30pm. He shows up for 3 songs at 5:50pm, and that was it. Are you serious? That's awful. Why would I trust anything Cabana is hosting again. Never again. I'm not wasting my time again. Besides that bad experience, the snack bar ladies were friendly and polite. We ordered 3 Jerk chicken tacos for $26 and an extra one for $7. Plus, fries @ $9. $45 for the snack. Pricey snacks.

If I could give no stars, I would....

Took my aunt here for brunch for her belated birthday and we had a great meal here. Service was wonderful - very attentive and they even provided her with a birthday dessert after our meal. I ordered the truffle omelet and a side of fries and enjoyed my meal. I came here a few years ago and they had a 3 course brunch menu - hope they bring that back soon!

Located inside the Four Seasons Hotel, we celebrated a friend's birthday. The dishes were exquisite and delicious, and the service was particularly thoughtful. This is a good gathering place. The duck is a must-order dish, and the waiter will help us cut it before serving it.

What annual amazing dinner we had here. The food flavors and textures were delicious. We weren't rushed and enjoyed every bite!!

This is one of my favourite French cuisine restaurant in Toronto. Great food, good vibes n best wine selection. Friendly service! My best dish to recommend is Roasted duck, it's tasty n unbeatable. One order for 2 person. The restaurant serves a seasonally-changing menu. Highlighting both bistro classics and contemporary dishes. High quality ingredients n exquisite. Dessert too, delicious. They also provide valet parking.

My review is going to be based off eating the spinach and feta pastry and the beauty of this cafe. I’ve passed a few times and the outside is simple yet captivating. That was THE best spinach and feta pastry I think I’ve ever had. It had a delicate crunch and lovely smooth filling. It was perfect. The cakes are swoon worthy, elegant & cute! I fell in love with the interior. Staff were very kind and friendly. Wonderful & whimsical aesthetic!

I joined a cake decorating class here with friends, and it was such a fun experience. The instructor was fantastic. She walked us through each step clearly, answered all our questions with patience, and even gave me a hand when I got stuck on my design. It was a little on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it. We got to choose between passion fruit or vanilla cakes and mix our own colors, which made it extra creative. The time flew by so quickly.

As a bonus, we arrived a bit early and tried some of their food and drinks before class. Everything was delicious, and we loved that we could continue enjoying them while decorating.

I’d definitely recommend this class to anyone looking for a unique and fun activity.

I was really looking forward to this caramel-flavored birthday cake, but unfortunately it didn’t meet expectations. The taste was overwhelmingly sweet and slightly bitter, with barely any caramel flavor — mostly just butter and sugar. For $60, the portion was surprisingly small. Disappointed overall.
