I was browsing online for a wedding dress for my son’s wedding and I came across DK Style. What a fantastic store. They have a huge selection of dresses in every size.
The colour palette for my son’s wedding is very particular and it hadn’t been easy finding a nice Mother of the Groom dress in an olive or sage green. I immediately found one at the store and Sylvia was so helpful. I normally can’t stand shopping of any sort but Sylvia (and the owner) made the whole experience very comfortable and easy.
They offer an alteration service as well as a decent selection of jewelry and purses.
I would definitely recommend this store for anyone looking for a wedding guest or evening dress.

Service was amazing! I was able to find a last-minute dress for the very next day, and they even did the alterations I requested. Honestly, I didn’t know about this place and just discovered it by chance, but I was blown away by the beautiful dresses and the incredible support I received. There is not enough good things I could say about this boutique. After going to 2 different stores, trying on over 20 dresses, and still not finding that "this is it" feeling, I was getting pretty discouraged. My maid of honour bought her dress from Dominique last year and suggested we call. She called and they were able to squeeze us in within a couple hours. We showed up and I described to Dominique exactly what I wanted and was looking for. The FIRST dress she brought me to try on was it. Before I even got it pulled up passed my hips, I knew I loved the feeling of it. The material, quality, shape, build, support ... Everything was perfect. I walked out and my bridesmaids and mom began to cry. I lost my best friend 4 years ago, and when I tell you that I stood on the pedestal and looked at myself, I felt her with me more than I have in so long. It was a perfect day. For the rest of my days I will send anyone to Dominique 💜

My daughter was too impatient to wait for me to go prom dress shopping. She went to a different dress shop and left crying ad the experience was stressful and she had no one to help her. I, in the past, have previously bought my wedding dress at this beautiful boutique and I already knew she would get treated like a princess there. Needless to say, both my daughter and I were not disappointed.

We had three favourite dresses and this is the one she said YES to!!!!

After driving around Ottawa and trying on various dresses, I ended up at Dominique Lévesque thanks to a Google search. I was a bit anxious since I didn't have an appointment, but the staff were super friendly and accommodating. They really came through for me because my party was in just 2 days and my original dress got ruined (definitely a memory I'd rather forget 🤣). I was feeling pretty nervous. They helped me find the perfect dress, even though it wasn't the color I initially wanted, but everyone pitched in to make it work. I'm so thankful and appreciative 💕

Extremely Disappointed – Would Not Recommend

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience so that other brides don't go through the same stress before their wedding.

I brought my wedding dress to Ele Bridal over a month ago for alterations and left with a dress that is still unfinished, too small, and completely unwearable — just days before my wedding.

The experience was filled with poor communication, multiple rescheduled and disorganised appointments, and work that was either rushed or not done at all. I had five fittings, and at each one, I was promised the dress would be nearly finished — but key alterations like the hem, bustle and sleeves were repeatedly ignored or done poorly.

At the final fitting, I waited over 2.5 hours in a hallway while the seamstress frantically rushed to finish last-minute work. In the end, the dress was still not done, and I had no choice but to take it home unfinished. As my unfinished dress was carried out the door, the seamstress suggested that my friend who makes costumes could finish the dress... A second professional seamstress has since confirmed the poor quality of the alterations, and I'm now faced with having to find a new dress days before my wedding.

This was an incredibly emotional and disappointing experience. I trusted this business with one of the most important elements of my wedding and was let down at every step.

I have asked for a refund and waiting to hear back. I will update accordingly.

I do not recommend Ele Bridal to any bride or client seeking reliable, professional, or timely service.

I had the absolute best experience from beginning to end with my dressmaker, Charifa. From our very first consultation, she truly listened to my vision and made me feel completely at ease. She brought every detail to life with such care, talent, and professionalism.

Her attention to detail and precision were incredible—every stitch and adjustment was done with the highest quality. The final result was beyond what I had imagined. My dress fit like a dream and felt so uniquely me, all thanks to Charifa’s skill and dedication.

I had such an amazing experience with Ele Bridal and Charifa! I went to the Gatineau location where Charifa was absolutely nothing but warm and welcoming. She made sure all my needs were met along the way, ensuring my vision became a reality with my dress. Communication was crystal clear, and Charifa was even so kind to drop my dress off to me after my last fitting. 10-10 experience!!

Writing on behalf of my Fiancee: If you are assigned to Charifa at the Gatineau location as your seamstress; RUN.

She has on 3 separate occasions told my Fiancee that her alterations were done only for my Fiancee to drive across the city from the west end and then show up to witness that ZERO alteration work has been done between appointments. From my understanding she has butchered one type of alteration, cancelled multiple appointments with little to no notice, and has rescheduled said appointments for various reasons while assuring that the alterations were already done; lying to my Fiancee's face directly. We are exactly a week away from when we have to travel for our wedding and the Dress is still incomplete and my Fiancee is currently scrambling to find someone to do the work last minute as a rush job.

Having worked in the Male side of the wedding industry I understand how important it is to stick to timelines and I also understand that under no normal circumstances (bar decision changes) should alteration appointments ever number even close to 6. I know dresses are different than suits in their requirements and I also know certain alterations may need to be completed before other alterations occur; but the timeline I described above is absolutely inexcusable. This goes double for not even being done on the 6th appointment.

I've currently sent an email to the business to sort things out and I will update my review accordingly. I expect a full refund for this series of blunders.

My Fiancee came home today after her final appointment (where she practically had to beg Charifa to let her take the dress home, despite it being in an unfinished state) and told me to my face that she now sees the dress differently and it no longer brings her joy. This deeply saddens me given that when she originally found the dress she told me that she had a "moment" and knew it was the one for her.

This business needs to reconsider Charifa, and develop a system to keep track of what their employees are doing. I genuinely believe this person wasn't doing any work at all between appointments. Initially we tried really hard to be empathetic to the situation but the lack of communication as well as the lack of actual work being completed has fractured our trust completely and we felt it best as a last ditch effort to try our hand somewhere else.

Hanna did a great job. There was so much work that needed to be done on this dress and she made it happen. The dress was too long, which made the back and the bust too low. It was also a tad big on me. And she fixed it all!

It fit me so well and I felt comfortable the whole night. See before and after photos.

I bring all my dresses to Hanna for alterations and she always does a fabulous job of making them fit like they are custom made. I've been coming here for close to 10 years and never been disappointed.

Hanna gives honest and practical advice about how to best alter every garment for the right fit. I've had multiple bridesmaids dresses altered or shortened and she does a great job with tricky fabrics and rouching. I also bring all my office dresses to Hannah so they fit perfectly and look more professional than off the rack.

I brought my bridesmaid's dress to Hanna for alterations after she worked on my sister's wedding dress. Initially, I went in to have the shoulders lifted/tightened. From there, Hanna used her expertise and fixed the back of the dress so that the sheer material would lay flat as well. The dress was done in the 2 week timeframe she had given me, and it was a stress-free experience leading up to the wedding day.

I had the best experience at La Couture d’Or! I bought a gown for a wedding and the service was truly exceptional. The staff were warm, patient, and incredibly helpful. The quality of the dresses is outstanding — elegant, well-crafted, and flattering. I also really appreciated that they carry sizes up to 20, which made the shopping experience so much more inclusive and stress-free. I felt beautiful and confident in my gown. She had my mom's wedding dress for over 6 months, a dozen meetings, and I had no idea exactly what I wanted but she helped me design the perfect, colorful, unconventional alteration for my wedding. Leyla was amazing! My wedding dress was originally strapless (in the before photo they are pinned on) and I wanted to add straps, and get it hemmed. She helped me execute my vision perfectly. At my first fitting I wanted some changes and she listened and did exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend!

Maher Abboud is truly the best tailor I’ve ever worked with. His craftsmanship is exceptional, every piece, especially my dresses, has been altered to absolute perfection. He’s a wizard when it comes to tailoring! Not only is his work flawless, but he also always finishes everything on time. Maher and his entire team are kind, welcoming, and so professional, which makes the whole experience even better.

And now - another showstopper for my friend's destination wedding. Arlys is always amazing with styling tips and honest advice. I had a great shopping experience last weekend looking for a wedding guest dress. Very friendly staff throughout and Hanan (spelling? I’m sorry!) was extremely helpful. I feel like I tried on half the dresses in the place. I was happy that they had quite a number of styles in the shop in my size (XL), and also offered the option to order in if what I was looking for wasn’t available. I would definitely return for an occasion dress in the future!

we had such an amazing experience at Park and Fifth in Calgary! After a long day of wedding dress shopping, this was our final stop for the day! We were pleasantly surprised with the cute area to try on dresses, and having a small private area to try them on. Our bridal stylist, Hannah was so great, she made us all feel comfortable and was easy to talk too. She made our experience so much better!

I went into Park and Fifth looking for a (very) last minute wedding guest dress.

I was nervous because a lot of boutique stores don’t carry larger sizes (I’m an XL-XXL), and worse yet, have made me feel very uncomfortable for being a larger size in the past.

My experience with P&F couldn’t have been more opposite. While there were less larger sizes on the floor, there were still plenty to try on, and more available for order. The staff were all so incredibly kind and SO helpful. They all offered assistance with zippers/ties/suggestions and opinions (when I asked for them). It felt like they were all truly invested in me finding the right dress, but were not pushy about it either.

Qyreenia is absolutely amazing! She’s so knowledgeable and lovely to work with. I was able to purchase all of my wedding day jewellery with her and I would recommend her to any bride looking for jewellery for her big day!

I had the most amazing experience at Vezina and even found my dress! They have such a great selection of dresses, all of incredible quality, which made the process even more exciting. I was a little nervous going in, but the staff were so experienced, kind, and reassuring—they made me feel completely at ease from the moment I walked in.

The women who helped me were professional, sweet, and truly listened to what I was looking for. They guided me through everything while giving us space to decide, and they even had champagne to celebrate once I said yes to the dress!

I had two appointments with Chantal and Megan, and both times I felt incredibly comfortable and welcomed. They were both incredibly patient, kind, and helpful. They pulled some "surprise" options, and I actually ended up saying yes to a dress I would have never chosen myself! So don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and let the experts guide you.

I also recommend making an appointment on a "Pop Friday" for an extra special moment with loved ones when you finally say yes to your dress!

The entire experience was truly special, and I will cherish the memories I made at Creations Vézina.

Wedding dress came 11 days after the promised date. At the moment of purchasing they said the date is approximate and it can arrive “a few days” before or after. They tried to charge me 700$ more for a ‘rush order’ to have it come sooner but it did not seem necessary because the delivery date was fine. Suddenly when I called them on the due date they said they’re on vacation for a whole week. Why did they not tell me when I purchased it or anytime during the 4.5 months when I was waiting for the dress?They were not able to track my 4000$ dress when I kept calling them a week after its supposed due date, they said they don’t have tracking info. Did not get so much as a single apology! Refusing to give a discount. On the day of pick up they told us we could have payed 300$ for a rush order, which is a complete lie because the day of purchase they said its 700$. They are denying all responsibility, and blaming me for not paying the ‘rush fee’, which was not necessary with the original due date. I now have only 2 days to have my dress adjusted and have to pay a lot more fees. Horrible experience terrible customer service.

I had a wonderful experience at Fairy Dreams! It’s such a gorgeous boutique with a dreamy atmosphere that made trying on dresses feel like it was a fairytale lol. Katrina was amazing - so kind, attentive, and made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire appointment. Although I ended up finding my dress elsewhere, I truly enjoyed my visit and highly recommend for future brides!

I said YES to the dress at Fairy Dreams Bridal! ✨ This boutique is absolutely stunning and the staff are truly amazing. Experience at this bridal shop was a 13/10!!! Highly recommend this boutique to any bride to be. Katrina was so caring and personable. The entire 3rd level is reserved for one bride & their entourage at a time with lots of natural light, comfortable seating and lots of mirrors. She was so helpful. She even reached out a few days before my appointment to see my Pinterest board to pull dresses in advance. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I'm writing this review to share my disappointing experience at this bridal shop. From the start, the service was a letdown. My stylist, Lauryn, was unwelcoming and didn't seem interested in helping.

A significant issue was the strict policy around trying on dresses. I was charged a fee, which was unexpected and frustrating, especially since the overall experience was so poor. The selection of dresses was also quite small.

During the appointment, I was not allowed to use the larger, more helpful mirror on the other side of the room. This forced me to rely on my friend's phone camera to get any sense of how the dresses looked on me. For such a significant purchase, it was incredibly difficult to make a decision without a proper view.

Overall, the combination of an unfriendly stylist, a limited collection, and a restrictive, inconvenient try-on process made this the worst bridal shop experience I had.

Stunning gowns, beautiful bright private studio and a kind positive stylist- a really wonderful experience! :) Fairy Dreams has a great selection at a variety of price points, and a huge totally private area to try them on complete with couches and multiple mirrors, big windows for your friends and family. Katrina was so wonderful and went above and beyond for any questions I had - thank you!

My daughter and I had such a lovely experience at this beautiful bridal shop, thanks to the amazing Rina! She is incredibly sweet, helpful, and truly had my daughter’s best interest at heart—not something you see often in sales! There was zero pressure, and it was clear she genuinely cared about helping Krystal find her dream dress! Rina’s kindness and professionalism is really rare in this industry! I get married in October and my experience has been nothing short of absolutely amazing. From the minute I called Ivoire in 2024 (from Winnipeg!) and was connected with Rina, I knew it was going to be *the* place to say YES to the dress!

Not only did I find my DREAM dress at Ivoire, I was treated like family from our very first connection. When I brought in my friends and family to try on dresses last July, we were met with such kind, warm service. I then went back to Winnipeg until recently moving to Montreal and through the entire year Rina kept me sane - whether it was talking me off the ledge about if my dress was going to be the right size when we ordered it, to keeping me in the loop and video calling me when it arrived because I couldn't be there in person, Rina really went above and beyond!

Yesterday, I visited Ivoire for the final time and picked up my dress. Luda did an AMAZING job with the alterations as requested and I couldn't be more excited to walk down the aisle in October.

As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen countless stunning bridal looks, which made choosing my own wedding dress feel overwhelming. I didn’t have a dream dress in mind, nor did I know what would suit my body type best. After visiting three other bridal shops without success, I walked into LoversLand feeling unsure but hopeful—especially since so many of my previous brides had raved about their experiences there.

To my surprise, I found my dress on my very first visit! The team guided me through multiple options within a style I absolutely fell in love with, and to make it even more special, the gown was from LoversLand’s very own bridal line. Knowing that my dress was designed and made locally in Toronto by such talented creators meant so much to me. The fit was impeccable—like it was made just for me—and the quality and craftsmanship of the fabric were exceptional.

I had a great experience shopping for my wedding dress at Loversland. The customer service was helpful and knowledgeable during both visits. I chose an off-the-rack style that was exactly what I was looking for, although it wasn't on the shop floor, so I recommend checking their website for more inventory. They honoured the online discount in person for me.

I had the loveliest experience shopping for my wedding dress at Loversland! The staff were all so attentive and kind. My bridal stylist, Tayler, was super thoughtful, really took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and helped me find a dress I love. Couldn’t recommend her or her team enough!

I had a fantastic experience at this boutique! It was my last bridal shop and I ended up picking my dress here. I loved their selection, so many dresses that have some personality. I wanted a dress that would be simple but with some beautiful details and I found it right away. I even had custom sizes put in for each section of the dress so when it came in the alterations were easier. They also suggested 3rd floor tailors as the seamstress, which was a FANTASTIC recommendation. Couldn't be happier with my choice. All the staff were so kind and nice to work with.

She really took the time to understand what worked best for my body and made the entire process feel easy, fun, and completely pressure-free. I felt so supported throughout the appointment and am thrilled to have found my wedding dress here.

I walked in and was honestly blown away the dresses are stunning. This is the place for a Quinceañera, Sweet 16, prom dress, and even mother of the bride dresses hands down, like each one is its own little masterpiece. The staff were super sweet and made me feel comfortable right away. Just a really warm, beautiful place.

This is our second year buying a prom dress from Marla’s. Last year we were so impressed with their quality, that we visited their site again this year and at first did not see what we were looking for. So we looked at other sites. HUGE mistake. Long story short, we were scammed by another site online and in a last ditch effort, went back to Marla’s site with our fingers crossed. Wouldn’t you know, they had the EXACT dress from the scam website. By now it was approximately 2-1/2 weeks before prom 😱! I called Marla’s customer service and explained our story of the scam and how we found the same dress at Marla’s…and how could we get the dress here in time for prom! The Marla’s rep was so kind, and with express shipping, said she would personally ensure the dress would arrive in 10 business days, at least 4 days before prom, at the latest. I quickly placed the order and immediately tracking began! Wouldn’t you know, instead of the dress arriving 4 days before prom, it ends up arriving in about FIVE DAYS! The dress was stunning quality and exactly what we were looking for. I cannot recommend Marla’s fashions enough!!

Amazing selection of gorgeous gowns! Ruby was incredibly kind a patient with me, helping me find my perfect dress on such short notice. I am extremely happy with my dress and so thankful for Ruby at Marla’s Fashions!

I left a review previously because I was told that if I do I’d get the garment bag for free. I paid $10 extra online just to get the bag so I asked if I could get back that money since I’m leaving a review. Makes sense right. Well now they say because I purchased it online they will ask their online manager to give me a store credit for $10 if I qualify. That doesn’t make sense to me. Store credit for some dress I paid over $500 for that my daughter will never wear again. Plus I won’t even consider coming back just because of this. Yeah $10. If the bag is supposed to be $50 but I paid $10 extra just to get it. Why not just refund me the $10 I spent. Especially since I was leaving a review for the reason you asked me to.

So with that being said. Take these reviews for whatever they are. Bribery for a bag. Thx for my daughter’s prom dress.

This place was wonderful from the selection to the staff! Came in for a dress for a wedding I’m attending & the selection in my price range was exceptional & they had a lot in stock & the quality is very good for the price as well! Will definitely shop here again!

I highly recommend checking out the Bridal Centre. It’s a very beautiful venue. I had my appointment with Katie. She was very kind and helpful. She gave suggestions for alterations to make the dresses look and fit the way I envisioned. This was my first dress appointment and I found the one. I will be using some of Katie’s ideas for the alterations as well. Thank you so much for making me feel comfortable and finding my dress :)

Cecilia knew exactly what I was looking for and pulled the most beautiful dresses for me to try on, all while making sure myself and my group were taken care of. Excellent place for anything wedding or graduation dresses. The seamstress that did the alterations was amazing and even went above and beyond. She fixed the flower on my daughter's bridal shoes. She also taught my other daughter the miad of honour how to fix the bustle on her wedding dress. We are so pleased that we choose The Bridal Centre in Calgary for my daughter's special day!

I had the most incredible experience at Bridalane thanks to Lisa! She helped me find my wedding dress, and I couldn't be happier! Lisa's knowledge of the dresses was astounding — despite the huge selection, she knew exactly which ones would fit my style and preferences.

What really stood out to me was her patience and understanding of my tight budget. Lisa never once made me feel uncomfortable about it; instead, she worked hard to find options that not only matched my budget but also made me feel special. Her attention to detail and dedication to making sure I was happy with my choice truly made all the difference.

It might be important to note that I had gone to ~several~ other bridal shops and the experience elsewhere was far from enjoyable. Bridalane was a game changer for me and I highly recommend it!

I got my wedding dress from David’s Bridal, and the moment I saw it, I knew it was the one. After trying it on, I decided to make a few changes—transforming it into an off-shoulder gown with removable straps, giving me three styling options: off-shoulder, with straps, or strapless. The alterations team at David’s Bridal made this possible through several appointments, and they transformed my dress beautifully. On my wedding day, it fit flawlessly and perfectly captured the elegance I had imagined. I am truly grateful to the alterations team for their skill and dedication in making my dress both dreamy and stunning.

My bride tribe (including flower girls) and I went to try on dresses. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on. I did try on 3 in total and turned away 1. My girls looked fabulous. The bridal party is wearing a beautiful Red Corset dress (they didn’t have the right colour to try on but the bright dress). They look very gorgeous and sexy. The flower girls look so sweet and angelic in their sweet white dresses and veils. I love my dress and feel like a princess (I’ve been given tons of compliments).
The staff were friendly and helpful. Our appointment was from 1:30-3:30pm but we did go over by about 2 -ish hours by the time we got out of there. We got to look at dresses and we told them the ones we liked and consultant grabbed the ones we liked in our size. We even took her thoughts as well. Everything was simple and easy. There was a bit of a technology problem when cashing out (they got it figured out quickly). They have a large selection of shoes/footwear at a great price point. I highly recommend. I did get to speak to the seamstress and prices seemed reasonable from the quote I was given. This review is solely based on my initial interaction with them. I will add more reviews when the bridal parties dresses come in and when we do alterations.
My first experience I would give a . 10/10. We all had a good time and created some amazing memories. Was also offered water too. They were very accommodating.

I was really happy with the purchase of my bridesmaid dress, and I thought the price was reasonable, but when it came to the alterations which were almost double the cost of the dress I was pretty shocked. I was even more surprised when the dress was way too tight to the point of pain and the cups that I paid to have sewn in … the stitches didn’t stay. I’m thankful I took off the fee for steaming because I didn’t even have to. I was really happy with the purchase side of the entire experience, but not the alterations. I have another wedding coming up that I’m a bridesmaid in again and I will potentially be buying my dress from here, but will definitely not get my alterations done there!
