The staff was knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect fit for a formal event. I ended up with a sharp-looking, well-tailored suit that looks much more expensive than what I paid. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for affordable luxury and great service in Toronto!

My partner and I had an amazing experience at Tom's Place. We were treated with so much care and warmth from the team, but especially from Lionel who helped us. His care and attention to detail and efforts to hear exactly what we wanted turned the experience into something we will genuinely never forget. We got the sense that he really understood how important this experience was, and made us feel so safe and welcomed. The tailoring was perfect and adjustments were made quickly. The suit looked fantastic, the shopping experience was so easy and fun, and we even got lots of advice on how to complete the outfit. If you're a queer couple and feel unsure about going to a space like this, I can personally vouch for how welcome they made us feel.

Tom’s Place is the best place to buy a suit in Toronto. I am overwhelmed with joy that the owner Mr Tom Mihalik was able to do repairs on a suit I bought from him several years ago. Every other tailor I showed the defect or small cut to the suit jacket told me it could not be repaired. Tom consulted his head tailor and the tailor spent time with me to explain how he would do his best to correct the problem. I am so happy with result and in my view Tom’s tailor performed magic and at a very nominal cost. I also purchased another suit and the customer service is the best. Tom’s sales team and tailors are top notch and I highly recommend Tom’s place as the best place to buy a quality suit at unbeatable prices in Toronto. Quality, expert tailoring, friendly customer service and all at incredible prices. I”ll never buy another suit unless its from Tom’s place.

My wife and I had an excellent experience working with Sam G. today at Tom’s Place. He was professional, extremely helpful, and very knowledgeable on the various suits available in the store. What stood out most, was how personable he was—he really took the time to listen to what I needed and made the entire process easy and stress-free. Went to store while on vacation in Toronto. Was interested in a sports jacket size 48 or 50. Sales person who seemed pleasant said all that they had were $600 or more.This was more than I expected. My budget was around $400. I ended up just getting some ties, got a discount from Anett who was also nice. If I am ever back in Toronto I might stop in again, maybe better luck next time.

I had the most wonderful experience ! I tried on a dress that I fell in love with but was not ready to commit because it was out of my element. The staff was very nice, helpful & not pushy! A few days later I called back & the dress was still available. I purchased the dress & received exceptional service from Suhaila! Great team & excellent service! I would definitely recommend. I ordered a dress online that was a final sale and at a very good price. I hadn’t really tried on the dress or examined it for that reason, however now that my event is nearing, the dress that was posted on the website and that I purchased is NOT the same dress that I was given. The neckline is different and so is the length. I ordered a midi dress with boat neckline and the one I received is round neck and knee length. The dress is beautiful but definitely NOT the same dress that was pictured. See photos. DO NOT BUY ITEMS ONLINE ON FINAL SALE. I had a fantastic experience at this store! The staff is incredibly lovely and helpful, making you feel valued as a client. I was in a pinch, searching for an evening gown for a last-minute event, and April went above and beyond to assist me. Her warmth and expertise made the process enjoyable. I felt like I was shopping with a friend💕 Plus, the store has a wonderful fragrance that adds to the overall atmosphere!

The park is very engaging for 3 to 13 year olds, and offers lots of opportunities to for risky play in a safe setting. There are trees on the west side of the park and a water fountain has been installed. Tuxedo community Association has done an incredible job creating a unique style of park and we will return soon. All that is missing is the bathroom.

They have really nice beach volleyball courts that are well taken care of. The sign feels nice. Very nice green space on the side. Very good for picnics and hanging out with friends

We rented the lower hall for my brother's 50th birthday. It's an intimate celebration and the lower hall was perfect, both for the size and the budget. The place is very clean and easy to decorate. We love that there's 2 washrooms (separate from the upper hall), and its own kitchen too. The Smart TV was also perfect for our video presentations! You don't have to rent a projector :)
As the hall manager, Miliana was very accommodating and responds quickly to my emails.
We will keep this venue as an option for our future events!!

I will definitely rent again. Hall cair taker Violet supports very well and also other administration development persons do very well. Overall it's affordable and very good hall.

We booked the upper hall for a birthday party with 40 people. The entire process was a really good experience. Christina, hall rental manager, is super! She is very responsive and helpful. The day of the event the audio system was missing a cord and she had someone to bring us an extra in 15 mins after I texted her. The hall is very clean and everything in there works perfectly. Christina walked me through the details in the hall twice to make sure I am comfortable with everything. I definitely would go back there for my special events and highly recommend them.

Overpriced. While outwardly welcoming, these characters are looking for any way to overcharge.

I exchanged a shirt and tie. The attendant did a series of random calculations by hand, added and subtracted discounts where convenient, and came up with a $60 charge out of nowhere. All the while telling me he was doing me a favour and that I was getting a deal on better quality goods. Note the non-Italian goods from a shop where “everything is imported from Italy”.

What could have been repeat business ends at $60. Too bad.

NO REFUNDS - Don't judge a book by its cover applies very much to this store. At first, it looks like a decent high-end store until you quickly realize that this store is scamming its customers and any sucker they can. The products are way overpriced for the quality of the goods. It's a fake Italian store that looks nice inside, but don't get fooled. As soon as you pay attention to the quality of the clothes and the price tags, you quickly realize that something isn't right. The staff was acting very nice and trying to make you feel that you are important and that they are giving you big discounts on already overly priced goods. They'll put random discounts just to make you feel like you are getting a deal, but you're still overpaying way too much. The quality is terrible, but they'll say it's from high-end brands from Italy you've never heard of before. I bought a belt there because I biked to work that day and forgot mine at home. Before paying for it, I specifically asked if I could return it and get reimbursed. The guy (Steve) assured me that I could without any problem if I had the receipt. Fair enough. Come back the following week only to find out that "their debit machine wasn't set up properly" and that "they don't know how to set it up" to process refunds. They tried to offer me to exchange the belt for something else that was obviously super overpriced. I decided to cut my losses and took a tie instead for $85. It's not that nice looking, either. Learned my lesson.

Been going there for 11 years now. Always amazing service from Michael and impeccable clothing. He truly is a great salesman with good taste and ideas if you are not sure what you are looking for. Forget about Guess and Simon's. If you want to look amazing and have quality clothes that will last you a decade, look no further. Just be ready to pay 150$ for your shirt or pants.

Vernini has the best customer service I have ever experienced at any clothing store. I went in looking for a few bow ties for the bridal party of my wedding. The staff there were so patient as I was debating colour choices with my fiance. Finally I made a decision and they even gave me a small discount on the ties. At the end they asked if I needed any pocket squares to colour match the bow ties. I asked if since they will be wearing boutineers, do they need the pocket squares. They could have gone the way of increasing their sales but without hesitation they said I would not need the pocket squares. That small thing alone would be why I would recommend this store. I felt like they really cared about making my bridal party look their best. I left feeling very happy about my purchase and that doesn't happen nearly as often as it should.

High quality and great service. My husband bought pants and shirt for a wedding. They did alterations to both pants and shirts.
Shorten the sleeves and removed the collar.
Made it into a round collar so no tie needed. It was free of charge and great customer service.

I had an outstanding experience at 5 Star Formals by Derks, and I absolutely have to shout out Maricar and Kiara—the mother-daughter duo who made it all happen! These two are the ones to look for. They have an incredible eye for fashion and detail, and they nailed my measurements perfectly. Their care and attention made the entire process smooth, professional, and even fun.

You can tell they genuinely love what they do and take pride in making every client look and feel their best. Kudos to the whole team!

I recently had the pleasure of getting fitted for a tuxedo rental, and I honestly couldn’t be more impressed with the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff made me feel completely at ease, taking the time to understand exactly what I needed for my event.

Good suits for a solid price, overall happy. They were not able to fit everyone in for their suit appointment even tho it was just three guys being fitted. One of the guys had to come back again another time which was a bit bothersome for him because he just watched us get fitted and showed up for nothing. We definitely believe that everyone could have easily been fitted in our appointment if the lady working was not talking g so much about her personal life. Overall I recommend but they might now be able to do your whole wedding party at once and we had 3 ppl only.

I worked with this location for my wedding in August 2024. Our 5 groomsmen all rented their suits from here for our wedding. Over the course of a year we had multiple try-ons to make sure we found the look we were going for, checking colours, etc. They were accommodating when it came to that, and the staff seemed pleasant at the time. However…one of our groomsmen went to the location to do what was supposed to be his final fitting, only for him to then have to call me (the bride) and tell me that Derks had just told him that they didn’t have the jackets for the suits we needed. This was 2 weeks before my wedding. They told a groomsmen this. They did not call myself or my husband or ANY of the other groomsmen about this. Had he not gone there I really truly wonder if we would have been notified or if we would have found out when they went to go pick up our suits. When trying to deal with this situation I found them very confused and very frustrating to deal with. The one “manager” there is absolutely horrid to deal with. I questioned why we weren’t notified and they had no idea. The staff was clueless. Measurements had been taken wrong as well which we found out later and that was blamed on the staff member that did it being ‘new’ and the information not being saved - but they have a system that shows who has been measured and who hasn’t, and again we were not aware of the measurements needing to be redone and missing. So we had to get another groomsmen in there again. Finally when we received the call (days before the wedding) that the jackets were dealt with and they found them and all was ‘good’ so we schedule for the groomsmen to all come in 3 days before the wedding to do the final final fitting and confirm the jackets. Thankfully I (the bride) went with them, and then found myself nearly in tears when they had one of my groomsmen in a tux jacket that absolutely did not match any of the rest of them and when it was pointed out was told “oh. Good thing you said something cause I wouldn’t have noticed that” by the staff member working there. She went to the back and was able to thankfully find a matching jacket in his size, but all in all it was a VERY stressful debacle with this location and I wouldn’t suggest using them personally. Giving two stars now (though at the time of the wedding I wished I could leave a zero star review) as most of the staff was nice and at the end of the day we got the suits and the groomsmen looked good. But it was very stressful to deal with this all a week before the wedding as an already stressed bride. I hope for future they have a system in place to actually call and notify their clients when they don’t have something rather than it being found out when a groomsmen goes to try on their suit.

My fiancée and I came in looking for a dress shirt for his wedding tux, Sebastian helped us out and he was great. Super knowledgeable, very friendly and incredibly helpful. We found the perfect shirt and he even offered to adjust the placement of the top button so it would fit around the neck more comfortably. Thank you for your help Sebastian!!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Poor Quality and Disappointing Customer Service

I ordered a Maurizio Baldassari cardigan from Harry Rosen, expecting top-tier craftsmanship and service. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. No garment tags, it was as if they picked it off the floor in the corner and sent the item.

The day I unboxed the order, I noticed a visible pull in the fabric—on a brand-new item. I immediately contacted customer care, hoping for a straightforward resolution. Instead, I was told my size was sold out and offered 2,500 Club Harry points (roughly $25 value) as compensation. For a premium product with a clear defect, this felt dismissive and inadequate.

Harry Rosen’s response lacked the level of accountability and customer care I’ve come to expect from a luxury retailer. I was offered a refund, but no effort was made to source a replacement or provide a credit that matched the value of the item.

I won’t be purchasing from Harry Rosen again, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend the Maurizio Baldassari cardigan based on this experience.

Went for my first suit purchase since 2018 and first at HR. Was helped by Aida who employed a great sales/service strategy. Was very patient, and talked through multiple suit options before we landed on this one. Alterations were handled well and pick up was smooth. HR has gained a loyal customer!

Suits, shirts, ties, pants, and shoes, and she guided us through everything with patience and expertise. What stood out most was how much time she dedicated to making sure each person had the right fit. She didn’t rush anything, double-checked the tailoring, and gave honest feedback to make sure we looked sharp without sacrificing comfort.

I was on the hunt for a bow tie and discovered that this store carries them. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Tenisha, who provided truly outstanding service. Not only did I find exactly what I was looking for, but I was also pleasantly surprised by their wide selection of ties!

Huge thank you to Christina (originally from the Vaudreuil store) and Noah who helped us put together suits for both of my brothers on a Friday night. The store got pretty busy right after we walked in but both of them handled the rush with grace and helped us get the perfect sizing in every item. Both Christina and Noah's customer service made this an impeccable experience.

The most cared for I’ve helped in a shop before. The whole staff were 10/10, I had help going through the various suit options and what would suit me best, then so much individual care to help accommodate a last minute alteration I needed for the following morning. I came in having left my suit in another city, by the following morning I had a beautiful fully altered one waiting for me. Will 100% be coming back for my next suit.

The manager was also extremely sweet and helpful. She provided honest feedback on which dresses looked best on me. In the end I chose a dress that had a minor damage on the back, but as it was the last dress that could not have been re-ordered, the manager ended up giving me a rebate to cover for the fix at the seamstress without any hesitation. This is not my first time purchasing fine clothes from O’Connors. I continue to return because of their excellent selection, outstanding expertise and true attention to detail. I was able to work with Christopher Dovey to find two suit pants, two shirts, a jacket, a tie, pair of socks and a belt that was exactly to my liking. He made me feel very comfortable and nothing felt rushed. I am a very particular person with exacting standards so it’s not always easy to make me happy. I was sized up and returned days later to something that fit me down to the millimetre. Colour me impressed! This sort of precision is rarely found in clothing stores nowadays and I left, once again, thoroughly happy. This is what you can expect when you shop at O’Connors. I had the misfortune of trying to buy a suit from O’connors. I recently went in to buy a suit of an upcoming wedding, we parked in the O’connors lot and were going across the street to get a coffee prior to shopping. We were rudely yelled at by an employee who was disrespectfully telling us we had to leave the parking lot. When I tried to explain to the employee that we were simply getting a cup of coffee before we came into shop, I was impolitely warned that my car would be towed by the city and that I would not be welcomed at the store. It is my belief that it was my older and worn down vehicle and casual attire that I was disrespectfully steered away from shopping at this store, I couldn’t help but to feel judged by the chubby man bombarding me for simply trying to buy nice suit for my cousins wedding. Very disappointing stuff by a store who claims to be extremely welcoming and classy.

I feel very fortunate to have had the privilege of getting my court attire here, including a gown, waistcoat, 2 shirts, tabs, and pants. The associate, Wyatt, was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed. He was incredibly nice and attentive, and along with the rest of the team gave me one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. They treated me with dignity and respect despite honestly being dressed sloppily both times I came in. I feel the quality of the materials sold is excellent and should last me a significant period of time. They provided me with a generous gift to celebrate a significant life event which was deeply appreciated. I will recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent quality clothing at an unparalleled level of service.

Absolutely the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. The suits here look like they’ve been pulled straight out of a high school drama department’s costume closet—cheap fabric, crooked stitching, and somehow already wrinkled on the hanger. The staff couldn’t care less about helping; they either hovered like vultures or ignored me completely, no in-between. When I finally tried something on, the jacket sleeves were two different lengths, and the pants fit like clown trousers. I asked if they could tailor it, and they told me “that’s just the style.”

The cherry on top? Outrageous prices for what can only be described as discount-bin quality. Save yourself the time, money, and embarrassment—go literally anywhere else if you want a suit that doesn’t look like it came free with a Halloween mask.

Popped in earlier this year while in Calgary for business. Incredible customer service and fantastic selection. Left with Rancourt loafers, as well as the iconic Barbour Beaufort to match my father’s— items well worn since my visit. Will make O’Connors a mandatory stop on visits.

I’ve come here several times for UPS package pickups and the service is consistently slow. Staff often stop helping me to chat with other customers who walk in, which makes a quick pickup take much longer than it should.

I've taken 2 dresses to Anna for alterations. A bridesmaids dress (which I bought too small) and my own wedding dress. She somehow managed to alter the bridesmaid dress to make it bigger with the little material she had to work with. It turned out perfect.
My wedding dress turned out absolutely perfect. She was super realistic and told me exactly what she needed to do to make it perfect. She suggested I add a satin belt sewn into the dress to emphasize my waist line. The bustle was placed perfectly which allowed me to walk and dance comfortably all night.
I just moved out of Bridgeland, but will continue to make the drive to Sew Passion for any alterations I need. Thank you Anna!!

Saved the day. After many failed alterations at a big chain suit store, I took my suit to sew passion in which the explained how a suit should fit and altered everything perfectly!!!! A+ customer service. They care. Goes along way!

I probably wouldn’t return here. I took a pair of athletic pants in to be taken in at the waist, and while they fit nicely and look fine from a distance, the sewing is quite erratic and messy up close- some lines aren’t straight, some are doubled over, and it just overall is a bit messy. It was fine for a quick fix but I’ve had better results elsewhere. Based on the work I received I’d say don’t take anything expensive in.

I've been to both stores and the guys who work there are great.

Plus, if you want an awesome atmosphere to get your suit, the Calgary shop is quite the site. Pour yourself some scotch, play some pool, banter with Dustin and look out over downtown Calgary. It's quite the place.

I came here for a custom suit for my wedding. I left feeling like i had experiences something profound!

I'm not the type who likes to be fussed over, but i enjoyed the attention to detail and consideration that was shown while building my custom suit at Curtis Eliot.

The customer service is prime, the selection of cloth, personalization options and the ability to build the suit you want is an incredible experience. I will return for custom suits to Curtis Eliot.

I bought 2 suits from here last year and both pairs of pants didn’t make it a year, 1 pair was replaced at cost by them, in enquires about getting resolution on 2nd suit, no one had responded to my emails. I called 2 days ago and made a request for my measurements as I will not be buying another suit from them, and was told I would have them by end of day. Still nothing. Suits look great, lack of follow up and backing their product has made me choose to not purchase any other suits from them after multiple attempts to get resolution.

Suits by Curtis Eliot creates the best modern menswear suits that I have had the privilege of wearing. Not only are they fully custom, but the material is second to none and the attention to detail is incredible.

Their ability to accommodate is unparalleled and the suits arrive in a timely fashion. Any minor alterations are taken care of by their incredible staff.

Until I found Suits by Curtis Eliot I had never truly found the perfect suit. I would absolutely recommend Suits by Curtis Eliot to men of any age.

Ordered multiple garments, all of them fit poorly and took close to two months to arrive. The gentleman taking measurements must have had absolutely no idea what he was doing as literally everything fit incorrectly or were completely different than what was ordered. Missed several special requests such as monogramming etc. Quality of materials appears to have decreased significantly from what this company used to use at one time as well.
Would strongly suggest going somewhere like Indocino instead. Do not waste your time and avoid at all costs.

SIX MONTHS TO COMPLETE MY GARMENTS? And even after half a year (let that sink in, HALF A YEAR) the order comes back with the wrong items? This is a joke. I was measured up at Indocino and had a better product SHIPPED TO MY DOOR in under four weeks.

Thomas the support manager is a very helpful person. We had a 1300$ buy for suites from this location.

He promised to do all alterations and tailoring needed on extra things with the suites.

Aazid the new sales guy there he was very professional and authentic.

Did a great work to make our stuff ready for a friwnds wedding. They were very friendly and helpful.

I recently purchased a suit as part of a wedding package and entrusted Tip Top with the initial alterations, including sleeve shortening and pant hemming. Since the shirt was too big I took it to another shop for alternation and they had a look at alternation Tip Top initially did.

Dress Shirt Fit: When I brought the suit in, I was told that my dress shirt fit well and did not need alterations. However, the shirt was actually quite large, and I later had to get the sides tucked in and the sleeves shortened at another shop.

Pant Hemming: The hem was done without any explanation of how different cuts affect the overall look. As a person that don’t normally wear suits, I wasn’t familiar with the different cuts I later learned that tapering the pants would have created a cleaner, more tailored appearance, particularly at the ankle. Had this been communicated, I would have opted for a tapered finish.

Sleeve Shortening: After the alteration, the buttons on the sleeves were misaligned and crooked. Additionally, the original cutouts for the buttons were missing, affecting the overall appearance. It should have been explain that it would probably looked better if the sleeves were tapered. The second tailor noted that the sleeves were still too long, and I had to pay again to have them shortened properly.

I expected a higher level of expertise and guidance, especially from a store that specializes in suits. It would have been helpful if the team had explained different alteration options and their impact on the overall look, rather than simply making the adjustments without any explanation or guidance.

I have been to a couple of these store locations and the service is abysmal at each one. If you are lucky enough to have an employee help you when you walk in, they don't seem very knowledgeable or professional. I ordered a suit and needed a different size of vest. When I left the store I was assured everything is good and they will be in touch soon to confirm the status of my vest. Not only did I not receive any emails or calls. I called the location at least 20 times with no answer and no voicemail option. When someone finally picked up one day I found out the vest hadn't been ordered and nothing had been done about it for 2 weeks. This place may have lower prices but the staff are very unprofessional. Save yourself a headache and suit up somewhere else.

Visited the Market Mall location this evening to return a pair of dress pants. Upon approaching the counter, we was informed by the associate that because we did not have a physical receipt, processing the return would be problematic and could potentially trigger an audit on her end.

After some discussion and going back and forth to clarify the situation, she ultimately agreed to process the return, for which we were genuinely appreciative.

However, the experience took an unfortunate turn. Before we had even exited the store, the associate very noticeably and exaggeratedly tore up the return receipt in front of us. Even more concerning was that she appeared to be openly mocking us about the situation while conversing with another customer nearby.

This behaviour felt rude, especially following what had otherwise been a polite resolution.

Poor service, poorly done alterations, go elsewhere. Bought a suit and the salesman marked up the changes. Had to wait 3 weeks to get the suit back due to grad season, no biggie. Arrive in the evening to try on the alterations. The pants are hemmed 1 inch too high. Salesman adjusts the height tells me to come back tomorrow. I return to the store, try on the pants, they are hemmed right, but the super crease is missing. The sales guy confirms the crease is missing and says it wasn’t on my order. If I would like it done, come back Friday night and they will put it in for $10. I was sure I paid for it, so I check the receipt at home, and I did pay for it, Guess what, I get to go back for the third time. My wife calls to confirm the alterations work Friday evening but apparently they don’t work past 5. Good thing my wife checked but why tell me to come back. My wife went today and showed them the receipt and he is trying to tell here the crease is there. A super crease is very obvious, it’s not there and the person 2 days earlier confirmed it. No mention of doing anything for us for having to make 3 trips for something that’s pretty simple. Not a good store and definitely try on all your alterations double checking that everything was done.

3 words: ASK FOR ALI!
After a disappointing visit to the St. Laurent location, I went to the Tip Top in Orléans for my husband and was so glad I did. Ali greeted us with warm humour and gentlemanly charm, guided us through every detail without ever making us feel rushed or forced to buy, and even took the time to speak clearly and patiently so my hard-of-hearing mom could follow along. He looked sharp in a classic pinstripe suit, which instantly gave us confidence that we were in good hands. Highly recommend asking for Ali! Really turned a negative into a positive🙌🏻

Had an awesome experience here! Phil and Inaz went above and beyond to help me out. I was trying on pants and didn’t have a belt, Phil kindly lent me one so I could get the right fit. They also helped me find the perfect suit size, making sure everything looked sharp and felt comfortable. Super friendly and professional service. Highly recommend this location if you want to be well taken care of!

On May 14, 2025. After bad service, and being out right ignored at the St.Laurent location, I decided to call the Place Orleans location to see if they could help me with purchasing a prom suit for my son. A very nice man by the name of Calvin answered the phone. I told him what happened at the St.Laurent location, he apologized and he told me that they would be happy to help us in Orleans., and also about all the great deals they had for prom. We promptly headed over there. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He made it a great memory for us to remember as I watched my son try on different things for his upcoming prom. A+ service ! I would recommend this location to anyone looking for great friendly service.

Unfortunately the St.Laurent location gets a big F for us !!

Tip Top is a wonderful place to shop for Men’s clothing and is a National Brand store with great quality & consistency. Very helpful & friendly staff to assist you with all your needs. Prices are reasonable, especially when you hit the sale events.

We needed help from Tip Top after one of our kids made a mistake with a product we bought. I spoke with Noah when I went in. He was very friendly and empathetic. He followed up quickly with us after needing to look into a solution, and we left happy customers that would be pleased to go back for future business.

Review of George Richards Big & Tall in Ottawa

Today, I visited George Richards Big & Tall in Ottawa for the first time. Although I’m not in the big and tall category myself, I decided to drop in out of curiosity to check out the selection and get a feel for the store.

I was pleasantly surprised by the staff’s attitude. Two sales associates approached me and politely asked if they could help. It was nice to interact with such attentive and friendly people. The overall atmosphere in the store was comfortable and welcoming, showing that customers are valued here.

At the register, I was greeted by a gentleman who said hello. While his greeting was a bit reserved, it still left a positive impression.

Regarding the selection, I noticed that there were significant discounts on some items, which one of the sales associates kindly pointed out. The products looked high-quality, and the store itself made a good impression.

For a first visit, I can confidently say this is a great store with excellent staff. Although I didn’t make a purchase, the experience was enjoyable. Thank you for the warm welcome—perhaps I’ll return in the future to shop!

Great staff and great products.. I went there to look for stuff with my husband and the girl there Surbhi I think is her name is wonderful. She was very kind and helpful throughout the experience and made our shopping very easy. She was very thorough in showing us the whole store and even explained the features of some clothes which was very nice of her. Would definitely go back and shop more. If you're looking for great customer service and friendly staff. Go to Trainyards location.

The first time I went to this location, the service was fantastic. Today I went there to buy a suit, and I received the worst customer service. I ended up walking out without buying anything and I will NEVER go back to this location again.

I went to a competitor of theirs, in the Trainyard location, and not only bought a suit at that store but also received the BEST customer service I've had in years! George Richards Big & Tall, you lost a customer today.

I'm not sure if ownership or management changed, but the staff here are normally 10/10. The two girls working today, which I've never seen here before, get a 0/10.

Speaking of zero, absolutely no help on the salesfloor and sometimes there were zero other customers in the store. Other times there was 1 other customer. Hate to see when a Christmas comes...

I went to the change room with three items to try on. Didn't like any of them. As I was walking out of the change room a staff member showed up to supervise me. I had left all three items behind, and with no prior conversation with the staff member things were kind of awkward so I just said "is it ok to leave the things I'm not taking there (and pointed to the hook in the change room)". She said "where are the items you're taking?" I said I didn't like any of them, I'm not taking anything and went back to the salesfloor.

I went back to the change room with 4 more items. 2 of which weren't really the size I wanted but no one was helping on the salesfloor. There's no mirror in the change room stall so you need to walk out with each item. The girl sat herself on a chair in the change room and played on her phone as I walked in and out of the stall. Absolutely zero dialogue. Just supervising me. Pretty awkward.

I get that theft is a concern but holy moly. Don't make it so obvious to think I'm a crook without even saying a word to me lol.

If you want good service, don't go here. If you want a mini experience of what it feels like to be supervised in prison, this is a good place to get that.

By the way, the store is filthy, especially the change rooms. I'm pretty sure someone urinated in the stall and it was left to dry. The smell is strong. You could make your own clothes with the amount of dust on the floor and even walls. When vertical surfaces are dirty, you know you're in a filthy place.

I’ve been a loyal customer here for over a decade, but today I experienced the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. Of the two staff members present, one was on the sales floor talking on her personal phone for over 20 minutes, clearly not work-related. The other was idly using her phone as well. The store itself was unkempt—dirty floors, and the fitting rooms looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. I left very disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a suit with the help of Jacob, and I was thoroughly impressed by his professionalism and expertise. Jacob has an exceptional understanding of menswear—especially suits—including fit, fabric, and style combinations. My fiancé and I came in looking for shoes 2 weeks before our wedding. Steve was amazing and so patient with us as my fiancé tried on shoe after shoe. Steve was great at recommending shoes within our price range and at the end he ordered shoes just in time for the big day. You’ll have a very different experience here depending on who helps you. I would recommend that if you shop here, you get the business card of the style advisor you prefer so you can have a more consistent experience. At this level of retail, service should not vary this much. Personally, I’ll save most of my shopping for Montreal at Holt Renfrew, where the customer experience is far more consistent.

Wasn’t impressed. I was watched the whole time without anyone even approaching me. And after kindly asking an associate for help, they were way too pushy and just wanted to sell me on the clothing without asking my opinion. Really disappointing from a brand I’ve long loved.

I just spent 20 minutes walking around the Harry Rosen store. Not one associate asked if I needed any help or assistance. This was my 3rd visit and it has gotten worse each visit. I would advise shopping on line or at a different location. Online would have been more assistance….Worst shopping experience I’ve had shopping anywhere in the world.

During the COVID-19 stay-at-home order, my daughter needed a new pair of shoes for her virtual class. I called and spoke with the manager, Russell, who was incredible. The shop owner really knew what sizes and cuts would work and we found the perfect outfit in under 30mins. So happy that we found this place after searching through the mall and the other menswear shop!

We used Mansour's in Dalhousie for our wedding and it was nothing but mistake after mistake. We went in looking for suit rentals for the groomsmen and a custom suit for the groom. The store is a distributor for Collins Clothiers, which is the actual suit rental company. On our first visit, the owner showed us both the catalogue and the swatches from Collins. There was one light brown colour and one dark brown. It was very clear that the browns were switched up - the light brown swatch was labelled as dark brown in the catalogue and vice versa. The owner told us to trust the swatches instead of the catalogue because "the photos can look different" despite us insisting that the colours were switched. That same visit, we looked through swatches for a suit for the groom and they didn't have any burgundy, which was what we wanted. The owner told us he would order some swatches and would call us when they came in. A few weeks later, we still hadn't received a call, so we called the store. The guy said he "lost our number" and that he would order the swatches. As if losing our number prevented him from ordering them in the first place. A week later, he called to let us know he had the swatches. We went in, and there was only one swatch. We didn't like the colour at all but we thought it might look alright if we could use the backside of the material. We asked him if we could and he said he would check for us. He called us back later to let us know that they didn't even have enough of that material to make a suit. At that point we went elsewhere for the groom's suit, he was just wasting our time. That same visit, we ordered the groomsmen's suits, and he showed us another swatch in a different book, and it was the same as the first swatch -- the colours were swapped compared to the catalogue. At this point I was worried that we had ordered the wrong colour so I called Collins directly, and they told me it was a known problem -- the catalogue was correct and the swatches were wrong but they had let all their distributors know so they could switch the swatches. We let him know that one of our groomsmen lives in Barrie and that he wouldn't be arriving until Saturday. There's a Collins Clothiers close to where he lives so he said that he would have that suit shipped to Barrie so the groomsman could try it on, then if he needed alterations, they could do it there and then ship it to Mansour's so the suit would be here waiting for him. The Monday before the wedding rolls around and all the groomsmen but the one from Barrie have received calls that their suits came in. They went into the shop to try the suits on (one of which fit so poorly that they needed to order a whole new suit for him, so there was no time for alterations and his pants didn't fit right) and one of the groomsmen asked if everyone had been in to try their suits on yet. The shop owner said no, they were still waiting for (name) and (name) to come in. One of those of course being the groomsman that lives in Barrie. He had failed to send the suit to Barrie like he promised. So he sent it to him but by the time it arrived there was no time for alterations so he didn't get to try it on until the morning of the wedding. The measurements were so far off that the pants were six inches short (pic). We tried to call them but they're closed on Sundays. Thank god there was enough hem, we ripped it out ourselves and fixed the pants but it made us late to the ceremony. Plus we only ordered pants, shirts, jackets, and ties but ended up receiving vests and suspenders as well; I get the feeling the owner deliberately did it to upcharge us.

I had rented a suit from a company in Ontario for my wedding in Banff and arranged to have it shipped to Mansours in Calgary. We had talked to Mike in advance about business hours and our arrival and he offered to stay open late to make sure we got the suit Friday before our drive to the mountains. Unfortunately we got caught up by the car rental company, we called Mike again to inform him and he was happy to stay open for the 2.5hours extra it took us to get there! Unbelievable! His only concern when we arrived was that the suit had everything I was expecting and that it was to my satisfaction. It was absolutely my pleasure working with Mansours and I cannot speak my praises loud enough. Thank you so much for the help Mike!
