Nadine helped us out and she was so amazing, I literally found like 20 bridesmaid dresses and she was so quick and helpful and great at clipping the dresses. She brought us swatches to see and showed us different colours online and recommended great dresses. She was so lovely and made the experience amazing. Found a great blue dress and am so happy! Nadine did such a great job with us!

I got my dress for an opera performance from Sophia’s Boutique. Specifically, Raggy was helping us and she was so so kind and helpful. She listened to my preferences with dresses, and helped us find so many beautiful dress options, as well as dresses I would never have thought to try on. She was so friendly and welcoming, and the shop had a very comfortable feel which made it very enjoyable to shop there. The dress I ultimately chose was absolutely gorgeous and all the staff were extremely kind and helpful, helping lace up the backs of dresses, finding other dress recommendations, and providing tailoring recommendations. The shop had a vast supply of dresses in numerous different styles. This was an amazing experience and I would definitely come back, and recommend it to others.

Bought my (very early) prom dress here. I was really impressed with the selection and Nadine was amazing. She was very attentive, helpful, and kind. She helped suggest styles and assisted not only her own clients but others when her coworkers were busy. Even when it was busy at the store, Nadine remained upbeat and efficient. I had a great experience at Surmesur getting my wedding suit. Ray Zhang was incredibly helpful, guiding me through every detail of the customization process. I ended up with a stylish, well-made 3-piece tuxedo that fit perfectly and got tons of compliments. Ray made sure everything worked together and helped me stay on budget. Highly recommend Surmesur and Ray for a quality custom suit!

Nasib has your back! He’s an excellent stylist with good advice for those of us that need the extra reassurance of how to style our suits! They work on commission but there’s no pressure and everyone at the store had your back. Very accommodating, but plan for 1-1.5 months between ordering and alterations. Any issues Nasib will take care of it and make sure you’re Gucci.

My brother and I both went to get custom wedding suits, and Toddrick helped us both through every single step. He really took the time to explain each of the options, the differences between fabrics, and the tailoring process. Once the order was placed, we could track the progress online, and when the order was ready, we went in for a try-on and evaluation. My brother’s suit was spot on but mine required some very slight alterations. Once those were complete the final product was perfect! Exactly what I had envisioned!

I was really nervous starting the process of getting a custom suit made- but Sydney and Devora listened to me and helped me bringing my vision to life. They were so detailed with every aspect of the process and made me feel comfortable and validated the whole time. I had the pleasure to revisit this venerable shop on Queen Street West during a recent visit to Toronto. The bright well-organized space was inviting, as was the thoughtfully displayed range of quality menswear. Based on recent reviews, I expected the shop to be focused only on or primarily on formal wear--I was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong, as I found an impressive range of wonderful wearable basics suitable for everyday use, including some Made in Canada products (with great fabric!) which I happily picked up.

The only point I would note for improvement is that it'd be nice to have a chair or bench in the fitting room in the back right corner of the shop (this is the fitting room I was assigned). It felt odd to have to use the floor to put my bag and clothes in what is otherwise a nicely organized and carefully considered space. Date visited: 8 August 2025

I had a great experience buying a tailored suit here. It was recommended by a friend as 'the best in town' and he was right. It is on the high side in terms of price, but also in terms of quality - the fabrics are top knotch, the tailoring is very precise and all the staff were highly skilled and knowledgeable, and fun to work with.

Exception experience and world class suit!

I chose Sydneys for my wedding tuxedo following the recommendations of a few friends. I have a build that is challenging and requires expert tailoring, so I've been getting custom suits for years. During my first consultation with the team at Sydney's it was evident that they were experts, professionals, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Given the challenges my physique presents, Sydney had committed himself to my suit, which was when I knew I was in the right spot. Sydney is surrounded by a fantastic team who incredible to work with over the few months process. I really enjoyed my time spent there, they were very accommodating and pleasant to work with, thorough in their process, and provided great recommendations as well.

My tuxedo came out perfect, truly the best that's ever been made for me to date. Also worth noting that I fully decked out in Sydneys, including their in-house Whole Cut Italian Leather shoes (couldn't believe how comofortable these were), Bowtie, Dress shirt, cufflinks, button studs, etc. It was nice to have it all in one spot, and feel truly taken care of.

If you are looking for a very high quality, well-tailored suit or tux, with a fantastic customer experience, you can put your trust in the team here. I look forward to getting many more suits from Sydney and team in future.

I recently had a custom tuxedo made for my wedding, as well as a custom seer sucker suit for the welcome event the night before. They couldn’t have turned out better, and were exactly what I was hoping for. The quality was amazing and the fit was perfect. Big shoutout to Amon, Chris and Ramy for their attention to detail, advice on styles and fit and just overall communication throughout the entire process. Couldn’t be happier with my experience, and would recommend highly.

My partner ordered a two-piece made-to-measure suit and custom dress shirt for our wedding, and both turned out incredibly beautifully! I am picky about clothes and we both wanted a suit shop with a strong sense of taste that we could trust to create something classic and timeless. After visiting several tailors, Third Son was the obvious choice - especially as their MTM prices are comparable to franchise stores. The suit took a little over two months - we ended up doing two fittings, and they did an on-the-spot hem during the second fitting so we wouldn't have to come back a third time. The only thing I'll note is that if you're interested in a custom suit, visit them early; we originally went in February and they said we could come back in April/May for a custom suit. We came back in May and they were fully booked and could only do MTM, but to be fair it can be hard to gauge your own popularity! Our MTM suit also turned out so perfectly that it didn't feel like we missed out on anything.

From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. It’s clear that the whole team is made up of highly skilled craftsmen who take immense pride in their work. I met Ramy, Robert and the team attending appointments with my fiance for him to get his suit for our wedding. The team took the time to get to know both of us as a couple to understand our needs.

Because if their excellent personal approach, I decided to hire them to make a custom ballroom skirt for my 2nd wedding outfit (before Third Sons I couldn't find anyone I trusted to make this piece). They put so much effort and care into this piece on such a short timeline, even making sure the seamstress could meet with me. Though there were some minor bumps in communication, they ultimately went above and beyond to get it done.

First time visiting Vassi, needed a matching suit for my friend's wedding. Andre was very helpful and friendly, and the whole process was a breeze. The tailoring was especially phenomenal, I have somewhat uncommon body proportions and expected this to go how it usually does for me - with a lot of back and forth and having to come back several times. To my pleasant surprise, everything was perfect on the first go. I'll definitely be back!

Such a great experience! I ordered a top last-minute for a wedding. I emailed customer service inquiring about an approximate delivery date and they got back to me right away, which was super reassuring. My order arrived a few days later. Even the packaging it came in was pretty and elegant, it honestly made me feel special opening it. Couldn’t be happier with the service and I’ll definitely shop here again!

Service was great however quality of dress is disappointing. I love the dress however it arrived with broken zipper. (Foot of zipper jams and does not go up or down Zipper material is poor quality) Replacement size not available for over a month and would not be received in time for event on Aug 2. Costing over $150 for seamstress to attempt to fix. If it cannot be fixed it’s a waste of over $350 plus seamstress expense. Turning out to be one very expensive dress that I may or may not be able to wear

Today, I went in search of the perfect dress and stumbled upon one that seemed amazing, though I wasn't sure it would fit. The wonderful sales associate, Alessia, encouraged me to give it a try, reminding me that you never know until you do. She was absolutely right! Not only did I feel confident in the dress, but her expert advice was invaluable, especially when my niece had questions about different styles. It was truly a fantastic experience, and we’ll definitely be back!"

I called in for a last-minute Legal Robe rental for a tight deadline. I wasn’t able to go into the store to get measured but they allowed me to provide my measurements over the phone. The customer service was outstanding and I was walked through each step of the measurement process. Thank you so much for being able to accommodate my order!

Beau is the real deal. My wife and I had a spur of the moment type of wedding. I came to him on Thursday and I needed everything ready for Friday afternoon. He got it done, and the way that I wanted it done too. He tailored the pants, the jacket, I got a dress shirt , a belt, socks and a pocket square. I wanted the beige and white/cream slim fit look, to go with my white sneakers. Everything came out amazing. I can’t recommend beau enough. Fair prices, and very dedicated to his craft. This was the first place I entered for men’s formalwear, and as soon as I saw his selection and mindset, I knew that this was the place to get everything done on such a tight schedule. Amazing, thanks a bunch. You made me look like a million bucks! And most importantly, you made it happen!

Acappella was recommended to us from a friend who’s husband had used them for his wedding suit. I’m thankful we listened and chose to make the trip in from Kitchener. Beau was so helpful and accommodating and I can't thank him enough. Even did a custom jacket liner with our family photos. Turned out awesome and now I have a suit I can wear for years to come!

Went to Andrew’s Formals to rent a tux for my own wedding. Maryann was a godsend. I had the idea going in that I would rent a black tux, and during the process, she showed me a blue tux she thought I’d look good in. Sure enough, it was the color I chose for the wedding. I looked great because of her! She was so helpful, so easy to work with, and was very accommodating given I live abroad. The price was also great given the service and the quality of the suit. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic local formalwear rental business. Andrew’s really came through when I had to attend a funeral on short notice when I was visiting Toronto from out of town. They provided everything the same day (including suit, shirt, shoes, and accessories), and were extremely accommodating and helpful with an outfit that was exactly the right type of well-tailored and understated style I needed for the event. I wish they offered Champagne or some sort of beverage upon arrival, but not really sure if this is a normal expectation as again, it was the first time I've ever been dress shopping.

This was my very first bridal gown store experience, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t have a specific stylist in mind, so I was paired with Nishita and I’m so glad I was! As a shy bride, I was pretty hesitant about the whole process, but Nishita made me feel so comfortable. She wasn’t pushy at all and suggested styles I wouldn’t have considered but ended up really liking. I appreciated how she respected my preferences and asked thoughtful questions to better understand my style. The store itself is lovely, many designs to choose from. Overall, a great first bridal appointment experience! 🤍

I had a truly delightful experience with Svetlana. Initially, she seemed somewhat reserved. However, once we began, her personality blossomed, revealing a truly wonderful individual. She was incredibly helpful, patient, and offered excellent recommendations.

I would venture to say she possesses extensive experience in the wedding industry and is very knowledgeable. I was particularly fond of one of their off-the-rack dresses, although it ultimately required more alterations than I desired. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and, in particular, Svetlana 🥰

I had booked a 1 hr bridal appointment today Jun 1 with NATHALIA. Due to the heavy traffic, I got to my appointment 30 minutes late so I only had 30 minutes allotted time left for my appointment. Because of the lack of time, I had low hopes in finding “the dress” since I wanted to take my time to make that decision.

Luckily, I knew exactly what I wanted (Trumpet/Mermaid style, sweetheart, lace, tulle). NATHALIA utilized our little time very wisely and picked up some dresses according to that style and my budget.

She really helped me envision myself in my perfect dress by styling me with the perfect veil, dimming the lights for the “evening look” and walking me down in front of the window for more natural light. To my surprise - I found it - I said yes to the dress!!!! My first time here, and in just 30 minutes! BONUS: I got my dream dress OFF THE RACK ON CLEARANCE!

Pretty solid place to rent or buy a beater work suit. The owner brenda is really good at helping out if you dont know what you are doing when it comes to picking the right suit for the right kind of occasion. I felt comfortable deferring to her opinion for what looks good.

Do be aware the suits are mostly 65% polyester blends. If you are looking to get your first Made to Measure suit with some breathable high quality material, and are willing to spend $700+ for just the jacket and pants I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Since the suits dont really beathe the best, you may end up feeling pretty hot if your going to a party and feel the need to take off the jacket, in which case you should consider getting your own dress shirt. I personally found the dress shirt that came with the rental to be unflattering for my body type but your mileage may vary and it could just very will be my fault for not asking for a slim fit shirt and just upsized slightly.

If you got a last minute event or didnt realize your waist size is mismatched from your jacket size and nothing off the rack will fit you like me, this is a good place to leave feeling like you have a solid outfit without breaking the bank

I highly recommend Black Tie for all your suit and tux needs. They saved me in a pinch and were able to custom tailor a beautiful blue tux for my wedding only a few days before the big day!!! (I rented elsewhere and it turned out horrible looking so I was in a scramble to find something last minute). Black Tie did not disappoint!!!

My experience at Blush & Raven was exceptional! I had scheduled my initial appointment, and a dress from a designer they carried caught my eye online. I emailed them to see if they had it at the boutique, and they didn’t. So I asked if there was any way that they could have the dress brought in, thinking it would be an immediate ‘no.’ They told me they would see what they could do. Fast forward to my appointment, and they brought out a few gorgeous dresses that were top contenders, and I had assumed they weren’t able to bring the other dress in. Sure enough, after a bit of time, they finally told me they had the dress there!! That dress ended up being the one I picked, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the B&R team for making it happen. The boutique is stunning, the dress options are gorgeous, and the customer service is unmatched. I would highly recommend B&R to all brides looking for a curated and seamless experience.

I cannot express how grateful I am to have had such a wonderful experience at Blush and Raven. Yasmeen is an incredible stylist - so good at what she does - and really did go above and beyond to help meet my criteria while also working with a very short timeline. I felt entirely taken care of by all of the girls at Blush and Raven and really did feel that they’d do everything possible (even if it seemed impossible) to help me find or create the dress of my dreams. Given how quickly I required a dress, I really don’t think I’d ever be able to have the full wedding gown buying experience, but these girls gave me that and more, and I will be forever grateful.

Blush & Raven is a must! I had an amazing bridal shopping experience here and it was such a special day. The boutique itself is stunning, very modern and beautiful. I opted for a luxury appointment and am so happy that I did. The room was beautiful and the refreshments provided were perfect. When we arrived we were greeted by Yasmeen, who was a fantastic stylist. She had an interview with me at the beginning and really listened to what I was asking for and the styles I was interested in, and throughout the appointment she pulled a range of dresses she knew would be perfect for the wedding venue and vibes. I really appreciated how she made sure to get to know both myself and the group I was with, and my whole group truly loved our appointment. During the whole process Yasmeen made me feel incredibly comfortable and beautiful, and her expertise on not just the dresses and any alterations we could do but also the overall bridal styling and accessories was amazing. While I didn’t end up buying my dress from here, this was a boutique I will recommend anyone. I had a shirt, pants, and jacket fitted here approximately a year ago. The young lady (blonde hair) who works here was extremely patient and helpful. I cannot recall the last time I received such great service. Additionally, their tailor is meticulous. The jacket needed to be adjusted at the sleeves and waist, and the shirt needed to be adjusted at the sleeves. The alterations look like they were done at the factory.

I ordered my Jack Victor pinstripe double breasted suit (42R) and it fit me perfectly. The quality is outstanding and the service was impeccable.

I had a very disappointing experience with this store. I placed an item in my cart while it was on sale, and when I came back the next day, the price had gone up even though the sale was still showing. I called customer service, and instead of trying to help, the response was simply “this is normal.” No effort was made to honor the original price I had seen, and there was zero concern for customer satisfaction. This shows a lack of transparency and respect for customers. Definitely not a store I would trust or recommend.

Ordered 7 pairs of socks online. Two large snuck into the order as a result of unclear visibility of sizes when browsing.

Customer service advises no exchanges or returns on socks (even when in full unopened packaging).

While I understand the practice, the fact that these items are final sale should have been clearly communicated. The only place this appears on the website is the very last line of the refund policy. Who has the time to read all that? When a website promises "hassle free returns", you shouldn't have to.

I ordered an Anderson’s belt from Boutique Jacques—something I couldn’t find anywhere in the U.S.—and was delighted by the experience. They had it in stock, shipped it promptly, and even included a handwritten note thanking me for my purchase. Stupid people get caught into this scheme they buy cheap dresses and the re sell them for 100% overpriced.

The staff was so welcoming, especially perena! She was patient and welcoming. Definitely a stop to make to find a prom dress!

As a customer who bought a prom dress recently at Candy, I would like to remind everyone who wants to buy dresses or gowns here: be very careful with the dress and the store policy. The staff here do NOT check the dress when they sell it to you. And if there’s any defects, they will only tell you that’s the customer’s responsibility to inspect the dress when buying it, and they will never ever refund for a defective dress. I’ve never seen any store be like this rude and disrespectful to customers when issues occurred. Customers are vulnerable and there’s nowhere you can seek help from. Very bad experience and be very careful when shopping here.

Durand Bridal is the only reason I was able to get my wedding dress in time for my wedding. I cannot put into words how grateful I am for Leslie and her team. Leslie went above and BEYOND to help me get my dress after my local bridal shop scammed me out of my money. Leslie was able to secure my dress from the designer and ensured that she would have it for me before my big day. The communication was beyond anything I ever expected. After everything I had gone through with my local shop, I was scared, heartbroken, and felt like I couldn't trust anyone. Leslie called me and text me several times to reassure me that she had MY dress and I was HER bride. Hearing those words was the most comforting and reassuring thing. And after everything, she even hooked me up with the most incredible seamstress who was able to do all of my alterations with only one fitting. My daughter and I stopped in at Durand Bridal on a Sunday afternoon in June - without an appointment - and were warmly greeted by staff. We were not expecting that they would be able to allow my daughter to try on some dresses for her 2026 wedding without an appointment but they were only too happy to accommodate us. Gracie was our appointed stylist and what a gem she is! So professional and helpful! Gracie completely understood my daughter's wish for a grand ball gown style dress and after trying on several dresses, found THE dress. The dress of her dreams. A big bonus that the dress also happened to be on sale. We returned a week later with my daughter's bridal entourage and went through the dresses again for comparison. All that were present LOVED the dress too! My daughter is extremely fussy and was anxious over such a momentous decision but all of her concerns were put to rest in the competent hands of Gracie and staff. There was never a hint of pressure or any sense of feeling rushed whatsoever. I would wholeheartedly recommend Durand Bridal for selection, staff and top notch service. Great experience in this store! I walked in and was immediately greeted by Greg who took me up to their suits. I asked for advice on colour matching with my partner and he did a great job in guiding me toward a great suit! was able to get it tailored in about a week and it fits perfectly. He also said if there are any issues I can bring it in to be refit at no charge! Very excited to wear it out to a couple weddings this year.

This place is absolutely phenomenal, they have an amazing selection of suits and other clothing items. Their prices are high if you are used to shopping at a Moore's or something along those lines, but they are not similar in quality of both suits and service. ER Fisher has the best service of any clothing type store I have ever been to. I worked with Emmitt and he was extraordinary in service and knowledge of his profession. Emmitt was able to help guide me into wearing something that felt good and looked just as good for my wedding day! He was always professional and at least two steps ahead of where I thought he would have been (things were always done early, or he had taken the liberty to make sure things were done that I had forgot to mention that I wanted, as he is a pro and just knows the things you will want/ need). This is truly an outstanding establishment, and I would reccomend them to anyone who wants a suit that will help make the occasion memorable!
