Such a good cinnamon roll! I did spend a pretty penny of 4 cinnamon rolls but it was worth it since everyone enjoyed it!

Place is very clean, and the people there are very friendly! We got there around 10:30/11am on a rainy Sunday morning and there was only 3 people ahead of us but after 3 minutes in line, the line behind us grew substantially!

They were very good with replenishing their stock but I would go early just incase.

There is space in there to eat but the seats so fill up, we ended up taking our stuff to go!

Insane how delicious everything was! We got greedy and ordered more than what we could eat, and we don't regret it one bit. The cookies were heavenly and generous in size and there were large chunks of chocolate chips. The coffee cake was simultaneously dense and moist, a rare yet perfect combination. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, that dirty matcha really hit the spot by cutting the sweetness with its bitter-y matcha flavored warmth, coating the bites of cookies and cake. I was thirsty on my way out so grabbed an iced tea to go, and it was the best iced tea I ever had: sweet and slightly sour. Yum! Definitely coming back to try other things! ;)

Been here a couple of times already. Are the cookies expensive? Yes. But are they worth it? TOTALLY. Consider this a little well-deserved treat from time to time, that's what I tell my wallet.

Took the matcha latte once – not worth the price in my opinion. Take a regular coffee instead.

Cozy spot with the most delicious pastries and drinks! The cinnamon roll was INCREDIBLE! The owner was also super friendly and explained their drinks menu, from which you can order anything in a Frappuccino format. We had a matcha Frappuccino and a chai Frappuccino and both were delicious. Also the cookies are excellent. Can’t wait to go back

Absolutely the best cookies I’ve tasted in Montreal! The texture is just perfect: crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside—a real treat. The price might seem a bit high considering the size, but it’s definitely worth it for an occasional indulgence. A little tip: if you have any leftovers at the end of the day, consider offering them on the TooGoodToGo app to reduce waste.

My son's 1st birthday wouldn't have been the same without this amazing cake! It was a Ms Rachel cake with rose and nuts – such a unique and delicious flavor combo. She also made cupcakes for the kids .My son got happy seeing the cake .We loved it. Thanks for making his birthday extra special

It was such a short notice when I reached out but Manny made it all happen for my son's birthday cake, she went over my expectations. Bought the cake for my partner who is a big F1 fan. The cake was fantastic and the detailing was amazing, from tire texture to the logos. It was a big hit at the birthday celebration. The cake itself could have been a little more moist but the taste was as really good

Jules is such a gem — not only has she created stunning cakes for many of the couples I’ve photographed, but she’s also made cakes for my son’s birthday and even my own rebrand launch event. I worked with Jules to design my stepmom's dream wedding cake, and Jules delivered!! This was for a wedding 18 years in the making. My stepmom's dream was to have a vintage-style, 3-tier wedding cake and Jules Cakes was the most recommended in Ottawa. The cake turned out so beautiful, it was beyond our expectations. It was delivered with a smile by Jules herself and of course, it was delicious!!!!! 🩷

Best roll cake in Calgary! Their cake texture was so soft and buttery. The cream was light and not too sweet. Chestnut flavor was nice. Their roll cakes were better than many cake stores I visited. So I couldn’t help ordering another cake—Lychee cheesecake which was rare. With fancy appearance, and good taste also!!! But my first choice is still the roll cake🤪

I was looking up bakeries in Calgary that had mont blanc chestnut cakes and found this place via a Google search. I was able to make an online order for pick up 3 days in advance.

I'm glad I ordered in advance because when I arrived at 2PM on a Tuesday, some items were sold out. I ordered the assorted roll cake box and chest tarts. Everything was really good and not too sweet as expected from an Asian bakery. My favorite roll cake was surprisingly the chocolate, it was the perfect amount of richness and sweetness.

Highly recommend their roll cakes and would come back.

O.M.G. their roll cakes are 💯 THE best I’ve had! Rich yet light + fluffy + super flavourful + oh so fresh! It’s like my mama whipped that cream up a moment ago just for me! I bought the assorted box on special and I got to pick the flavours I want! My favourites were the strawberry and mango. Oh and those caneles are to die for - crispy caramelized crust and buttery chewy centre😍! Service was excellent too!

Completely vegan bakery offering some (all?) gluten free baked goods. We got the hostess cookie and my partner liked it but I found it was too sweet.

This place ended up being a little gem that featured some of our favourite desserts. It didn't look like you could go wrong with any of the desserts here but I went with the cream egg cookie sandwich and it blew my socks off.

It was huge and delicious. The service here was fantastic. Prices were on the higher side but they're pretty gourmet treats here.

Highly recommend checking it out if you're in this area.

Oh my goodness, their cupcakes are incredible! I picked up vanilla and chocolate cupcakes for my birthday and the rich flavor, perfect level of sweetness (just enough), and moist, tender crumb made me feel like I went to heaven. Madame Dibou did my baby shower cake and I loved it so much that I ordered my son's baptism cake and first birthday cake from her and I was never disappointed neither by the look nor by the taste of the cakes!
They always look and taste amazingly beautiful. The flavors I tried were vanilla dough with vanilla icing, carrot cake with cream cheese icing and pain d'épice with cream cheese icing. All were very good.
She is reasonably priced (thank god because the famous cake places here are a real rip off).
You give her any picture of a cake you like and she will reproduce it for you.

Bottom line she is our cake fairy!

I got the mini nostalgic cake (vanilla) and omg it’s really good. I’m usually not a fan of sweet icing but this really takes the cake 😂 you should definitely try it out!

I ordered the surprise box and 6 cupcakes on Uber and everything was fantastic! The cakes are all moist and flavorful and the icing is perfection I love the sweet buttercream. The surprise box is an excellent way to sample the different flavors they offer, I will definitely order again!

Absolutely love this place! The food is very tasty, the desserts are delicious, and the sandwiches are amazing. They also have really good tea. There is a reason this place always has a lineup, always worth the wait. Incredible range of baked goods and the sourdough base for their breads is especially fantastic. I love how many sweet and savory options they offer and the coffees are really tasty too. The roll cakes are a favourite, and the baked breakfast options always seem to have a new flavor or a different style of pastry. The sandwiches are also delicious and perfect if you want to grab something and then go to the park across the street. Top notch and part of my weekend morning routine to stop by and grab something.

Small bakery cafe featuring small cream puffs, croissant, sandwiches etc coffee is fine, the only complaint is that one of server is not very friendly when I ask for more hot water for my tea and the same when my daughter ask for the same. Very reluctant. Otherwise overall experience is good, place is clean and comfortable. Recommended

I barely give anyone any review but I couldn’t resist giving Mari a 5⭐️ because of their Sourdough bread. I have been searching for sourdough bread that made from a real sourdough starter and I am very impressed. It is definitely the best sourdough bread I’ve had so far. Most importantly, we are in this economy where everything is increasing and I found that their price is very respectable (cheaper than many bakeries in the city) but higher quality. I’ll be a regular at Mari 😍

Best Vegan cake EVER!!!

Ordered the vegan strawberry shortcake for my Daughter's birthday, and let me tell you it has to be the best cake we have ever had! We have ordered from other places over the years, but Milo's is our new go to for every cake for every occasion. IT IS THAT GOOD! The cake was a perfect light cake, the strawberries very fresh, and the "whipped cream" was absolute perfection. Thank you so much for making a birthday extra special by allowing us to have a perfect cake with it!

This is my favourite type of small BUISNESS. Owed and operated by artisans proud of their creations. Proud they should be. Wonderful bakery. My favourite item was the puff pastry filled with perfectly balanced apple and cinnamon. Clean and well lit.

The prices are reasonable and every pastry I tried was delicious.
I went a bit late, so some of the ones I wanted were already sold out. But I picked up almost everything that was left in the display fridge (except the whole cakes), and they were all great.
I especially liked that nothing was too sweet. The level of sweetness was just right.
Not really a complaint, but if I had to point out something, everything is takeout only, even if you want to dine in.
Also, maybe because it’s so popular, many items sell out quickly.
I really wanted to try the strawberry yogurt something and the chocolate something cake, but they were already gone.
I live a bit far, so I’m not sure when I can go again, but I definitely want to come back for more!

Absolutely the best bakery! Have been coming to Mon K for years and always blown away by how delicious everything is! The croissants (chocolate almond, cinnamon, bechamel and bacon) and danishes (blueberry) are phenomenal! Incredibly flaky, buttery pastry -- delicate and flavourful. We buy their Chestnut buche de Noel every Christmas and it's always a showstopper. Their quiches and ham and cheese baguette sandwiches are super for lunch. They always have a weekly special -- never hesitate to grab one! Highly recommend!!

My family recently got some savoury and sweet pastries from this little patisserie and everything was absolutely lovely!

For savoury, we got their Croissant Sandwiches including Egg Salad and Ham & Cheese. Both were flaky, delicious, and you could tell were freshly made!

For sweet we got a Dark Chocolate Tart and two Matcha Tiramisu cakes, which were all pieces of art. The Matcha Tiramisu was creamy, luscious, light and not overly sweet. They were my favourite of the whole bunch and were absolutely DIVINE!

We also got four of their Cream Puffs and one Coffee Chocolate Tart. The Cream Puffs were so fluffy and not overly sweet. The Coffee Chocolate Tart was also fantastic. Their other pastries and danishes are luscious!

The staff were helpful and prompt at packing our rather large to-go order! This is a lovely place for pastries, whether you’re craving sweet or savoury!

I came across this place a couple of months ago, and finally I had time to come in today. I am a middle east pastry lover, and like to try different pastries. The lady was very nice, probably the owner, she helped me to pick up a few desserts, I finished half of them already. So delicious and FRESH! Definitely going back there

We were visiting Ottawa from Toronto and my uncle recommended Patisserie Le Caramel for their backlava. Having lived in the Middle East before we had commented that many other bakeries made their backlava very sweet with excessive sugar syrup and not enough nut filling. What a wonderful surprise to then taste the backlava from Patisserie!!! The nut filling quantity was excellent, crispy backlava layers and sweetened just right!!! We were so happy to try this hidden gem and had a lovely conversation with the owner Ali. He was so friendly, appreciated our comments and was happy that we expressed such joy in finding delicious backlava after such a long time! Next time we are back in Ottawa, we will definely stop by again!

I went for breakfast today at Phillistines bakery. The ambience and overall experience was great. Coffee was good and cookies were a hit.
I tried Kunafa but it was okay not the same that we get at Turkish Kebab House on 17 Av SE-best in Calgary and hence gave 4 stars to the food. Overall i liked it and would recommend it to others

Phillistine is incredible middle East bakery with lots of Variety and specialties. Reyed The owner came over and said hello, very friendly. They have espresso, cappuccinos, and coffee, as well as baklava, about 20 different kinds, And beautiful buttery cookies. Cheesecakes, Cake bars and the best kanafa. The servers were all very friendly, the service was Great. I strongly encourage you to stop by and check this place out. It’s incredible.

We recently visited this delicious Jordanian Baklava bakery while in Calgary, and it was such a treat for the whole family. The baklava was incredibly fresh, perfectly flaky, and had just the right amount of sweetness. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite.

The variety was impressive—pistachio, walnut, cashew, and even some specialty selections we hadn’t tried before. Each piece was beautifully presented, making it feel extra special.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, taking the time to explain the different types and offer recommendations. Our kids absolutely loved sampling the different flavors, and we ended up taking gift tray back to share with family.

Food is amazing. My favorite is the pianono. First time trying the mango crinkles today and it did not disappoint. The mango cake is really good as well. My mom’s house is just a block away from their shop and it’s always a treat to visit them with my little son. We like to walk there on warm days. Service is friendly and the patrons are kind and very helpful. It’s a hidden gem in Ranchlands. I recommend you visit. Maraming Salamat po!

PurpleYum made the best chocolate cake for my husband's 80th birthday; we had guests from across Canada for a big celebration. It was absolutely delicious, every single person loved it! I will be ordering a cake for every family special occasion!

I ordered a custom fairy-themed cake from Rashmi’s Bakery (Mavis, Mississauga), and it was absolutely beautiful! The design was perfect, and the cake not only looked stunning but also tasted amazing—soft, fresh, and full of flavour (chocolate cream flavour).

A big thank you to Tanya for putting so much care into making our daughter’s birthday extra special with such a beautiful cake.

We also tried their cheesy corn puff and potato puff, and both were incredibly tasty.

I recently placed my first order after hearing a lot of buzz from friends. I tried the below:
Cheesy Corn Puff: It reminded me of the ones back home in India — nostalgic and decent in taste
Vegan Cream Roll: It had very little cream, which surprisingly worked for me. It wasn’t overly sweet, so if you prefer light desserts, this might be a good pick.
Rabri Gulab Jamun Dessert: This one was a letdown. It’s a layered dessert with sponge cake, gulab jamun, coconut rabri, and cream — but the combination just didn’t sit well with me. The coconut and gulab jamun clash in flavor. I couldn’t get past two spoons and have been taking small bites daily just so it doesn't go to waste.
Oreo Cheescake: The Oreo layer had become soggy, which took away from the overall texture. The combination of a creamy topping and Oreo didn’t quite blend as expected. If you’re looking for a better cheesecake experience, I recommend trying The Happy Choco in Square One – much more satisfying!

Overall, it felt like just another regular dessert place. Nothing extraordinary that would make me rush to reorder.

This bakery is an absolute gem! The customer service is always warm, friendly, and attentive—they really make you feel welcomed. The food is just as impressive: fresh pastries, and perfectly made cakes that taste as good as they look. Every visit feels consistent in both quality and service, which keeps me coming back. If I could give 20 stars, I would. From the beginning, it was just top notch service. I accidentally ordered two of the same cake and they corrected my error quickly. The email response was prompt, ordering process easy, and even the delivery person was pleasant. On top of it all, the cake was absolutely perfect and DELICIOUS. Our daughter was so happy with how it looked (we added the legos seen in the picture) and we all loved the taste. I thought it was a very reasonable price for an exceptional cake including delivery. We will definitely buy all of our cakes here in the future.

How is this place still in business? It’s hard to believe the positive reviews are real — they must be paid for. Just read the 1-star reviews and you’ll see the truth. The cakes we received were loaded with the cheapest ingredients imaginable. They actually use Cool Whip — seriously, the absolute bottom of the barrel. The cake itself was dense, stale, and clearly not fresh. It was a major letdown. I genuinely hope my family and I don’t end up sick like others have reported after buying from this place. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Straight to the trash.

Definitely one of the best pastry shops in Toronto. I’ve tried their Earl Grey and Strawberry Parfait, and I prefer the vanilla-based soft serve from the parfait over the Earl Grey. I’m not saying their Earl Grey isn’t good, but I would prefer a more pronounced taste of Earl Grey. That said, both soft serves come with an amazing texture, mouthfeel, and the perfect level of sweetness.

I’ve also tried their Pistachio and Strawberry cake cups, both very nice. I appreciate that Rosella keeps their desserts in a well-balanced sweetness, allowing me to taste the different ingredients dancing together in the cup. They didn’t put cake in the pistachio one; instead, they used puff pastry. I am not a big fan of it, but I do think it’s a good choice, as it goes super well with their amazing pistachio cream.

I find their Madeleine a bit dry, but I think I taste almond flour in it, which makes the taste less flat. I’ll definitely try other items from them in the future.

Roselle doesn’t just do desserts, they do works of art you can eat — and “Next Level” soft serve is exactly that. Imagine Earl Grey tea got dressed up for a Michelin-star gala, then decided to throw in a zesty lemon surprise just to keep things playful. The swirl itself is impossibly creamy, perfumed with tea in the most delicate, elegant way. Then they go ahead and crown it with lemon curd, crisp pearls that crunch like tiny fireworks, and a buttery sable cookie just to remind you they’re not messing around.

Every bite had me questioning if I should slow down to savor… or speed up before someone tried to steal it. Verdict: gone in minutes.

This isn’t just ice cream. This is Next Level living.

Would 100% recommend — bring a friend, but order your own because sharing is not realistic.

Roselle is a hidden gem tucked into the heart of Corktown. It's my favourite go-to dessert spot in the neighbourhood, and often claims a lineup down the street (but don't worry, it moves fast).

The Earl Grey ice cream and birthday cake cups are my personal favourites.

I had the fraisier, Earl grey mousse and a slice of mango passion fruit sponge cake. They were all good but I thought overpriced for what they were. Tasted good… but not amazing. The service was nice. I’ve been there for their soft serve with strawberries sundae and it was good but, again, I found it more expensive than what I thought it was worth.

Earl Grey Soft serve is what they are most known for in the summer months but everything they make is made with the best ingredients and the quality is not your typical margarine whip overly sweet kind of dessert it’s definitely worth a visit or two
Their hours make it tricky for those outside of Toronto to get their hands on their products as they are only open a few days a week with limited hours and products that run out fast!

We recently had them prepare a special cake for Canada Day Market and it was so amazing. Every one at the event loved the taste. Highly recommend this place for your special days. Besides that the customer service is great as well.

Wonderfull cafe. Perfect for sweet treats. The staff is really polite, there are plenty of variety in terms of sweet and sour items. Their cheese cases are also really good for birthdays or special occasion. Parking is somewhat limited but we were able to find it on Saturday morning so it should be fine.

They have a variety of sweet pastries and salty sandwiches (paninis, baguettes, etc.). Everything looks amazing. I tried a baguette and it was fresh and tasty. They also have many coffee options and cakes. I had a mocha coffee and I really like it.
I waited maybe 10 minutes after I ordered. The place was packed and the wait was worth it. Not a complain, but maybe they could improve organization at the counter. My baguette was ready like 5 minutes before I got it; it was behind them. Overall a great experience, excellent food and a nicely decorated place.

I had a great experience at Simply Biscotti in Ottawa! The turkey cheddar wrap was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly toasted—definitely a standout. Utterly and hopelessly disorganized.

After buying a few things from them during the summer, I placed an order for some mekelesha spice and gluten-free injera. They told me they'd phone when the items were ready. They didn't. But when I phoned them yesterday, they said they'd be ready in the afternoon, and I told them I'd be in either later in the day or tomorrow to pick them up.

When I arrived today, they told me they'd already sold both items. Thanks very much for wasting my time.
