Ordered the unicorn themed cake from smitten for my little one who turned 5 just a month a go. She's crazy about unicorns and this cake made her go on moon. These cookies are seriously amazing. Ya, they’re a bit pricey for a cookie, but once you take a bite, you get it. They’re stuffed with ooey gooey goodness. The staff were super friendly and down-to-earth. The whole vibe was really positive, and you could tell people are loving this place. There were customers constantly coming in while we were there, so I imagine they sell out fast. We’ll 100% be back.

Pro tip: pop them in the microwave for 15 seconds!

I’ve never really been into stuffed cookies, but Kat’s Cookie changed everything! Every cookie was so delicious, flavorful, and had such a great texture. The service was wonderful - warm and welcoming with a smile, which is always appreciated. I’ll definitely be back!

I was introduced to this place today by my boyfriend’s brother. The three of us popped by right as they opened today while we were on an outing. This is now my favourite cookie place and will definitely be going back. The staff are friendly, the business looks clean and the cookies are delightful. I had the chocolate cheesecake flavour. It was great. I can’t wait to go back and try more flavours.

The owners and the staff are such lovely people, you can really tell they take pride in what they do. They are always so welcoming every time we come in and have such creative cookie flavours (and names) that it makes it almost impossible to choose! From their traditional cookies like the Basic Batch to their intricate stuffed cookies like the PB & Love with a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup in the middle, you really can't go wrong!

They are fantastic at making cakes. We shared a reference photo with them, but wanted it to be a bit taller than the reference photo so they made it exactly how we wanted it and they kept it within our budget. It tasted delicious! And it was packaged sturdily. We were really happy with our cake!

This cake was an absolute showstopper! Ordered for my mother’s birthday, it was not only stunning to look at - complete with delicate florals and a beautifully elegant design - but also a true delight to eat. The top tier was a rich, indulgent chocolate that melted in your mouth, and the bottom was a fresh and fluffy strawberry shortcake packed with juicy strawberries. Even the kids, who are notoriously picky, came back for seconds (and thirds)!

I ordered a cake for my son’s 3rd birthday. I sent some pictures to do in that design and Suvana’s sweets cake did so beautifully. She charge reasonable price and she is really good in making HD cakes. I would like to give an another order for my daughter’s birthday.

I ordered a cake for a major birthday in. my family. I have to say I was extremely lucky to meet with Tania and her husband fot the experience with them has been top notch.

Tania’s and her husband approach with me has been extremely professional and friendly. They listened to every demand and proposed the right type of cake and decoration, they really know their art. Talking about art, she is a real artist with a capital A. The sugar flowers she made looked like real ones, even the texture made the decoration look like real flowers. Colors were perfect and the cake tasted amazing, moist to perfection, not too sweet. The fondant was well-dosed and tasty. They also made me taste all the different types of cakes they make for a better decision making process.

The ordering process was easy and the order was ready on time. Punctuality was key here and Tania did not disappoint, on the contrary.

The architecture of the cake was solid and able to be put to the test, a 2:30 hour ride in a packed car on winding, hilly and bumpy roads. That cake sustained the beating and was flawless upon arrival to the event site.

In my humble opinion, Tania and her husband are a gem of a ukrainian family business. Well done! I am looking forward to do business with them again. If I could give 10 stars, I certainly would. Dealing with them is a human experience, not just a business experience.

The Engineer's bakery made my husband's birthday cake and it was so so delicious! He was kind enough to take my order, though it was late, and then proceeded to blow us away with a multi-flavour cake. Highly recommend his services, you won't regret it.

I ordered our wedding cake from The Engineer's Bakery and I got so many compliments on the taste from our guests (their red velvet is absolutely delicious!). Tunde (the owner) was also very professional and made sure to cater to our preferences. He added a particular lace pattern that matched my wedding dress and I was blown away by the level of detail. Have you ever seen a cake so perfect and beautiful on the outside that you didn't want to ruin it by cutting into it ? Well it took my family more than a day after receiving it to finally decide to cut into this beauty. When we eventually did, we were delighted to say the least. Big cakes like The Engineer's Bakery usually last around a week or so in our house. But this only lasted 3 dinners. Each time I would open the fridge a little more of the moist cake would be gone.

Did not need to tell him what the cake should look like, I just said it was for Eid and he designed this masterpiece. From now on, I'll be looking for every little occasion and excuse to celebrate so I can order a new cake.

I ordered custom cupcakes for my daughter's 2 parties. Both times the cupcakes came out beautiful! Response times and communication was excellent.

My daughter who was turning 8 did request that the 2nd set be a little more sweet which was an easy request that was accommodated. We were happy with the results.

I recently walked into Sweet Crumble, which just opened on Queen Street. I tried their pumpkin spice cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and lemon meringue, and I have to say, they were all fantastic! The pumpkin spice cheesecake was rich and creamy, perfectly capturing the essence of fall with just the right amount of spice. The chocolate mousse was indulgently smooth and decadent, making it a real treat for chocolate lovers. The lemon meringue was light and refreshing, with a beautifully fluffy meringue that balanced the tartness of the lemon perfectly. The macaroons had a good texture, but I found the flavor only shined as an aftertaste. Overall, it was a nice spot to grab something sweet, and I’d definitely recommend trying those desserts!

Update: Came back during June and had their smoothie options and got myself the strawberry banana smoothie. Definitely worth a try specifically during the hot summer

The bread pudding had nuts and raisins added on top. I wish the mouth feel was moist and the pudding was not firm and hard. The price was fair. I also had my eye on creme brulees, maybe another time.

Nice sweet spot to get cute desserts. I got the chocolate muffin for my kids and the chocolate cake for mt wife, they just love it. I had to admit that its evident the effort and care is invest on each dessert, just look at them.

Definetely a must try.

There’s a new pastry and smoothie bar in town. Sonam and his wife opened only a few weeks ago so make sure to stop by to say hello. They have fresh baked pastries and cakes. They also feature a large variety of fresh made smoothies and juices. Everything is extremely well priced which is rare these days. I’ll definitely be back soon to see what other delicious goods they’ll have to offer!

The mango ice cream is so so yummy, I ordered with pistachios on the top and the mix was so delicious. This shop is lovely, all handmade, and a family business. 100% recommended

Absolutely delicious alfajores, and a phenomenal selection for such a small bakery! I hadn't had an alfajore since I was a kid and these were even better than I remembered. The pistachio one was divine. And the woman there was so kind!

The bakery itself is super tiny and doesn't have any seating, but it's in a very cute neighborhood with lots of places & parks to sit and eat. The alfajores were very reasonably priced too! They're very large and rich cookies.

I wanted some cupcakes as treat and was extremely happy with our choices. We got a lavender type cupcake and a pumpkin spice type. Wow! We’re not normally fans of those flavour profiles but we’re were pleasantly surprised. They were lovely. The flavour was there but it wasn’t overwhelming. The cake was moist and soft. The sprinkles we think are made in house? - if they are, amazing. We don’t normally like sprinkles either but these were identical to the frosting. So sweet but very refined. Excellent offerings and we will be back, if you read this you should give this local spot a try and enjoy!

We celebrated my daughter’s first birthday at Ampersand Bakehouse, and it was absolutely perfect! Stephanie was incredibly accommodating and a pleasure to work with, making the planning process seamless. The cupcakes and smash cake were adorable. The existing décor was exactly what we were looking for, and the few decorations we brought blended beautifully. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the kid-friendly toys and a floor mat for babies to crawl and play on—it made the space feel so welcoming for little ones. Our guests had a great time and had lots of positive feedback. I would highly recommend Ampersand Bakehouse for any young child’s birthday celebration!

I love popping into Ampersand with my kiddo! The coffee’s good, the treats (I love their cinnamon apple scones, vanilla sprinkle cupcakes and basically all their cookies) are even better and I can relax while my kid plays with the toy train set. Even better is their recent addition of stocking romance books! I bought a couple as gifts and can’t wait to go back to get myself some new books. I also just ordered their holiday cookie box (see pic) and the cookies were a hit with my relatives. Ampersand is a gem!

I googled "best cupcakes east Toronto" for my son's birthday and happily came upon Ampersand. They have a great menu, the service was friendly and they accommodated our last-minute order. I've been on the hunt for that nostalgic cupcake experience from my childhood and I'm pretty consistently disappointed with either the cake or the icing but Ampersand's vanilla sprinkle cupcakes were 10/10. Not too sweet but dense and delightful. Baby LOVED his "smash cupcake". We will absolutely be ordering again and visiting when we can.

I cannot rave enough about Bake My Day’s attention to detail! I wanted to surprise my husband with a 50th birthday cake, so I contacted them and explained the style I was looking for. I provided numerous pictures, and they absolutely did not disappoint. My family and guests were blown away by the decoration, and the cake itself was absolutely delicious. Bake My Day made our wedding cake for us and it was perfection! We wanted to go for a vintage inspired, heart-shaped cake and they did an excellent job. The flavour was also delicious (we picked coconut) and the texture was perfect! 10/10!

we had a quagsire birthday party. I cannot understate how beautiful this cake was. it was very dense and delicious, but the attention to detail on the quag and all of the printed fondants on the sides…….. stunning. definitely the most visually magnificent cake i have ever received. look at the layers of strawberry buttercream! wow…… Thank you

I got 2x Sweet Heart cake, 2x red bean, 2x croissant Portuguese tart. The croissant tart was very buttery. I asked about the sweet heart cake, the lady said it has rice flour inside, it was a bit chewy, not bad, and oddly reminded me of wife cake.

Tried the butter sticky rice bun and cheese tart on an Wed afternoon! Both are so so good! A great balance between texture and sweetness, the cheese tart is a must get! Possibly the best cheese tart downtown better than Uncle Tetsu and much cheaper! This makes a great afternoon tea and gifts to friends! Don’t miss this hidden gem!

And just like that, the Village by the Grange food court continues to get better and better. Hot on the heels of Pho Valley, Castella King just opened with a selection of their namesake castella cakes as well as other Hong Kong bakery staples like egg tarts (both Portuguese and Hong Kong style), cheese tarts, and more. Thus filling the one niche the food court was missing, dessert!

The egg tarts have a light filling that doesn't gum you up and the pastry itself is extremely light and flakey. No complaints there.

The prices are reasonable, but it is a small treasure hunt to find it as it is not located in the main food court and actually tucked around to the side by the dry cleaners.

I'll definitely be a returning customer.

Update: Tried the other small pastries and they're just as good as the egg tarts.

Easily accessible by TTC, Street car, or a short walk from St.Patrick station. There is also green P parking near.

Found deep within the Grange food court near the St.Patrick exit past the Popeyes and Indome noodle spot.

Perfect for a sweet treat and a break from walking the Toronto city streets.

The food court seating and Grange park near by are great places to enjoy these baked goods, or they can always be taken away, as they will provide boxes upon request.

Got the pistachio cake for my birthday. Pretty good, but could’ve had a stronger pistachio flavour. The cake was amazing value for $38.

I recommend this bakery if you like simple and yummy. Chippers is probably not the right place if you have a highly refined palate.

I had the snickerdoodle cookie for $4.85. The cookie was humongous and perfectly cooked (soft inside which a crunch on the outside). Chippers is a better and cheaper version of Crumbl.

Amazing cookies, we tried 6 different flavours and they were all great!! The portions are enormous (bigger than some other popular cookie brand), I recommend this bakery a lot! The picture is just what was left by the time I thought to take one, but so worth it!

Cookies are really good and big. Even after days of getting them the cookies were still soft and moist.

It can be easily shared on how big the cookies are, approximately the size of my palm. Some of the flavours are really sweet tho, I am personally not a big fan of sweets so for me it was abit too much.

It's better to go pick up some cookies way before closing because if not you won't have all the flavours left.

Decent place. The cookie was very large and almost the size of my palm. I ordered the old fashioned chocolate chip cookie. It’s crunchy and a bit dry on the outside and soft inside. I expected it to be more sweet and also there were less chocolate chips. I have had better chocolate chip cookies. I am interested to try red velvet cookie if I am around this area.

It's local pastry shop and the baker is really kind and friendly woman with big smile and ready to explain and help you to chose🥰. We tried different types of cakes: Classic Chocolate, Orange & Cardemom, Vanilla & Honey, Rose & Vanilla, Lavender & Honey, all of them are so tasty, soft, creamy, the ratio of cake and icing is amazing, their look is cute and dreamy and simple with reach flavors and combination of flavors will be different every time you go there. I personally love other flavors than chocolate cake here. Doesn't have reservation and it's first come first serve and better to pick up cake within first hours of opening to have various choices, her cake is coming in two different sizes which is small and other one is a bit bigger. It's cash only. My friends always love the cakes I bought for their birthdays from here and they always ask for the address😍. Love this shop with all cakes/cupcakes and cute decoration🥹🥰🩷

I discovered this little gem over 20 years ago... After moving across the city, I found myself back in the neighborhood a few months ago—and suddenly, I remembered the unforgettable chocolate chai cake! SIMPLY THE BEST. The texture, the flavors—absolutely perfect.

This bakery is a true hidden gem! It’s been in business since 2005 and I’d been wanting to try it for ages, and now it’s my go-to for cakes. The portions are perfect either for 4–6 people or 10 which makes it so convenient when you don’t need a huge cake. The owner is incredibly sweet (she even offers a candle!), and the prices are extremely fair. Everything tastes homemade in the best possible way. Highly recommend!

We bought a lemon and coconut white cake for my friends birthday and it was so amazing! You can really taste the quality.

I got two chocolate cakes for a special occasion and they were absolutely delicious. One was regular, one was chai (ginger + cardamom). The crumb was so tender, and the icing was just the right amount of sweet. These are some of the best cakes I’ve ever had, and they are affordable ($10 for small, $25 for large).

Cakes were very very fresh and the icing was perfect; not overly sweet! Our two birthday guests were very satisfied. I love the way the cakes were EXECUTED EXACTLY as we wanted them!! A thousand thank yous!

Jaimée Sweets & Cie (1051 Bernard Ave, Montreal, Quebec H2V 1V1) - this place catches your eye with its cool and original vibe right from the street! ✨ It definitely has a unique charm. Inside, you'll find a bright and really cozy interior. Lots of interesting details, like an old and kinda rare refrigerator, a teapot, a telephone… it's got a very cool and unusual feel. You can tell the owners wanted to convey something special to their customers.

Their baked goods are a total paradise! 🍰 They've got everything from your regular, but perfectly made, croissants to fruity cakes and chocolate mousses. By the way, the croissant was one of the best I've had in Montreal, seriously – it was like being transported to Paris for a second! 🥐🇫🇷
The coffee is magnificent – aromatic and strong, just the way I like it. ☕
But the staff deserves a special shout-out! We walked in when there were at least three employees, all doing their thing, but as soon as we stepped inside, they all greeted us with smiles. Super cute and chill little place. I got a Earl Grey sea salt matcha and a free mini cupcake. The drink was delicious and refreshing, my only complaint would be that the early grey was ground a bit coarse, making it gritty. The cupcake was so cute, and the buttercream was lovely and the chocolate cake was moist. Would definitely come again!

Had my first (and surely not last) visit yesterday. Was lucky enough to snatch the pretty couch all to myself for high tea at this lovely shop.

Absolutely loved the pinwheel because bacon. Real bacon slice in flaky dough ❤️ 🥓🤤 the earl grey creme brulee was my favorite with its bold flavor. Would have had a bowl as big as my face if I could. Brought my leftovers home, so I go scones and homemade jam/preseve and still have a cupcake left for later.

Not included in the tea set, I also had two cookies with maple cream in between, its a decadent must try. And for those who know and love Farlouche, they have a square treat that is very reminiscent of it.

I've been ordering cakes from JJ Bakers for a while now, and I can't recommend her enough! My friends and I always choose her for our special occasions and we are never disappointed. I can’t recommend Jaicy enough! She created the most beautiful and absolutely delicious cake for my daughter’s first birthday — just like she did for my baby shower. The flavour (chocolate with pistachio and kunafa filling) was truly out of this world — rich, unique, and perfectly balanced. Every guest kept raving about how amazing it tasted. Not only was the cake a showstopper visually, but the attention to detail and care in crafting it really showed. Thank you for making our special moments even sweeter!

I ordered a cake for gender reveal and were so impressed with both the taste and design. It looked beautiful and tasted even better—soft, fresh, and not overly sweet. The decoration was exactly what we wanted, and it became the highlight.

I love Julienne’s Patisserie! I have been here over 10 times at this point and it’s a wonderful café! The treats are just delicious. My favourite is the Nutella croissant. I crave that croissant constantly haha. The plain and chocolate croissants are great too. Another favourite is the mixed berry scone. The cupcakes are really yummy. I am not a big buttercream lover, so I only ate half of the Oreo cupcake icing, but the icing is quite good. I had the pink berry icing once and that was really yummy, so I recommend a flavoured icing over a plain vanilla one. My 4 year old nephew is in love with the cupcakes though, icing and all haha!

The latté is wonderful. It is one of my favourites in the city. The americano is yummy too and my friends love the chai latté. The ladies who work here are lovely. They are always accommodating and very friendly. Lastly, the ambiance is buzzing on the weekends and more quiet during the week, but lovely regardless. I love the decor! Pink, flowers, sweets… what more could a girl want! This is the perfect café to meet friends at, celebrate a birthday at, or bring your kids to for an afternoon cupcake! Amazing job Julienne’s!

The BEST!!! I placed a custom cake order for my daughter’s 1st Birthday and not only was the customer service fast & very helpful, the cake design was spot on, and I have never tasted a more delicious cake!!! I ordered the vanilla w/ mango passionfruit buttercream and the flavour was perfect - I generally don’t like icing as most of it is too sweet, but this one kept making me come back for more! Julienne’s will forever now be my go-to bakery! Thanks so much for making my daughter’s 1st a sweet one💕

I booked a cake decorating class and it was the best experience! Jessica was a warm and amazing teacher, guiding us step by step on how to frost and decorate a cake. She also prepared us some tea (the Heavenly Cream and Jasmine tea were amazing) and had some of her pastries out (cheddar and chive scone was out of this world!). She was super accommodating, tending to all of our questions, helping us mix colors, and even getting us extra material for decorating. We ended up staying a little late as we were still finishing our cakes, and she was so friendly and approachable. We had the best time and I cannot wait to return! 10/10 definitely recommend!

Ordered a gluten friendly German chocolate cake. It was delicious, good texture and not too sweet. The prices were very reasonable. I appreciated that they marked the box and the cake gluten free. The staff were also very friendly when I called. It is a mixed bakery, I am celiac and did not have any issues after eating it. Ideally would prefer if they had a completely separate area for baking GF, I think a lot of other celiacs would be willing to try if that was the case. They have some very interesting GF items on their menu I would like to try in the future!

As a vegan baking enthusiast myself, I often struggle to find quality baked goods or cakes in Calgary. Kashew bakery is simply the best, even on a global level! Nothing I've ever had anywhere else comes close to what this bakery makes. I read somewhere that the owner is a German master baker, which explains a lot. You can tell how the ingredients are carefully selected and crafted into a delicacy that anyone - whether vegan, gluten-free, or omnivore, can enjoy. They harmonize and not only provide the right texture but also full flavors, something that can be a challenge when it comes to baking plant-based. My absolute favorite are the Almond Croissants, they're scrumptions and I'm so glad they're sold at all Lina's locations these days.

I had doubts on how a vegan cake would taste knowing through other precious experiences, it was only ...ok. nothing spectacular. Kashew bakery is unlike any vegan bakery I've ever tried - moist, delicious and still dense. Ordered the lemon cake online (a very easy straight forward process) and paid online as well. The lemon taste was super strong but just enough that you do taste it and isn't sour. The cake itself also isn't too sweet (where it feels artificial). Everything was balanced just right.

Visited this spot bc as they are vegan, it is a dairy free whip cream they use. Everything tasted wonderful and just as luxurious. The pricing was VERY reasonable as well.

Located inside Lina's market - go to the dessert pastry counter and ask for the cake pick up. They also have things available in store but not the large cakes. Highly recommend coming here and ordering. Super friendly service as well.

This was actually for the CFM West kiosk. We bought a piece of carrot cake. It was very dry. The icing wasn’t made from cream cheese but rather some sort of fatty whip with a horrible flavouring. Not sure what it was but they were trying to copy of tang of cream cheese. The worst carrot cake I’ve ever eaten.

Incredible gluten free and vegan options! We ordered the gluten free black forest cake and an assortment of tarts, and it was by far the best gluten free and vegan baking we have had. Highly recommend!

The best cupcakes I’ve ever had! Being lactose intolerant, finding treats that taste this good is usually impossible, but she’s mastered it and they look amazing. I’ve order from Kasia for every birthday events, these cupcakes are moist, flavourful, and absolutely perfect. On top of that, her service is by far the friendliest around. A true gem! I highly recommend her baking!

THE BEST CUPCAKES EVER! I have sampled many of KASIA’S products and they are ALL amazing. Being lactose intolerant, it is sometimes difficult to find good baking. They are moist, flavourful and delicious! My favourite is the chocolate walnut cookies! Many options of vegan and gluten free too! Highly recommend you order online to sample for yourself. Staff is friendly and always go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. I intend to order for my next get together!

Kasia makes the best cupcakes in Ottawa! I’ve been very impressed with every order I’ve placed with her, from a single box to a bulk order. Her quality is consistent, and the packaging is beautiful. The cupcakes are moist, full of flavour, and the icing is just the right amount of sweet. I highly recommend her!

The cup cakes are out of this world . You really have all balance of flavor you want but find in a Michelin starred restaurant.
