I had just recently moved to Toronto and really wanted to change up my hair style. I have never dyed my hair, it's boring, brown, long and I just needed a little change up. I came in and had an appointment with both master stylists with an idea of what I wanted to do. Both Dino and Ernesto took the time to sit down and discuss with me my type of hair, how we would achieve the look together, and were both super professional and informative the whole time I was there. Dino was very particular in the way he chose to start my colour process, and Ernesto cut my hair like Picasso would create art. I was blown away by the service, all of the staff (including Melissa who was absolutely wonderful, and assisted with toner and washing) from top to bottom this place checks off everything on the list. Long overdue review from me. Not many hair salons like Solis left. Coming out of some of the most prestigious salons in the city, Ernesto and Dino have been in the business for 2 decades now and their skills show. So many stylists can make you look good for a few hours. With Ernesto, my cuts are always low maintenance and just grow out beeeaaaautifully. If that isn't the mark of a top stylist, I don't know what is. I'm kind of glad they're on the second floor since it's hard enough to book them as it is!

I had my hair done at Showpony for my wedding and they were amazing. The admin staff is so well organized and responsive, and the stylists are extremely talented. Suzanne styled my hair for my wedding and she did a beautiful job - I have very frizzy and coarse hair that can be challenging to deal with and she made it look easy! There were a few things I wanted to change from the trial, and she was able to execute the changes flawlessly. I'd definitely recommend Showpony!

Lori did my bridal hair earlier this year and she absolutely killed it. She understood my hair from our very first bridal trial and was able to give me specific recommendations for my hair to make the curls last the day of. Lo and behold, my curls lasted from the morning till 11 pm! I wanted a slicked back front with Hollywood waves and she made my vision come to life with ease.
For the wedding, her and Aoife together did the entire bridal party’s hair which included me, 9 bridesmaids, my mom and my mother in law. They took their time to perfect each hairstyle and still finished on time like clockwork. My bridesmaids all have different hairs with different textures that holds curls differently and yet all their curls lasted throughout the night. I’m honestly very impressed with their work and they were incredibly pleasant to have the day of. Can’t recommend them enough!

I had such a wonderful experience at Showpony! I came in as a bridesmaid to get my manicure and pedicure done and will also be getting my hair styled here. From start to finish, the team made us feel so special and cared for.

They truly went above and beyond, not just for me, but especially for the bride. You could tell how much love and support they were pouring into every detail. I have very damaged nails, and the nail technician was incredibly gentle and thoughtful throughout the entire process. I was honestly surprised (in the best way) by the level of professionalism and warmth they showed.

We had the pleasure of working with Shelby, Suzanne, and Hayley, for our group of 12 women's hairstyling needs on our wedding day this past spring! I've had a lot of perms in Korea and Canada, but this is the first time my hair has gotten this bad since I got a perm.
I got a retouch, but every time I brushed lightly, the tip of my hair kept breaking off.

I have been going to this place for years now and i had a hairdresser that was so good and always gave me what i asked for, unfortunately that hairdresser moved to the US so i had to get a new one. I came in for just a trim and the guy i got was very nice and at first i thought he was gonna give me exactly what i asked for, which was a one inch trim and i told him i wanted to keep it long and not to do more than one inch and i also asked for very light layers. And i also showed him how much i meant by one inch but once he started to cut my hair i knew he was cutting way to much and usually hairdressers ask you if the amount they are cutting off is good but he never did... By the end when he finished blow drying my hair you could see that the layers were super choppy and looked terrible and he cut almost three inches off. He also started to thin my hair a little and i never asked him to do. The whole car ride back and until i went to sleep i was bailing my eyes out because of how much i hated it. And i have been growing my hair out for so long and all i asked for is just a trim but obviously he didn't listen.

Visiting from California, I’ve had my fair share of hair experiences—some nightmarish, some okay, and very few outstanding. After reading the glowing reviews for Suite 105 par GLAM, I decided to book an appointment for a hairstyle and highlights—or as Olga calls it, “balayage.”

From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The salon itself is elegant, the staff friendly, and the quality of work is nothing short of art. Olga, the talented colorist, meticulously worked on coloring and highlighting my hair with incredible precision.

Then came Alex, the master stylist, whose years of experience were immediately evident. His haircut transformed my look so flawlessly that I felt as though I was ready to walk into a hair show. Alex is truly an artist in his craft.

If you’re planning a visit to Montreal and are in need of a great hair experience, I highly recommend booking an appointment at Suite 105 par GLAM. Just be sure to call well in advance, as both Alex and Olga are in high demand, and for good reason!

After five years of box dyeing my hair I was incredibly nervous about getting colour correction but meeting Tatiana put me instantly at ease. She was kind, nonjudgmental, and incredibly skilled. She worked efficiently and confidently, transforming my hair from a complete mess into something truly beautiful. I couldn’t be happier with the results!

I had the absolute best experience with Tatiana for my balayage! From the moment I sat in her chair, she made me feel comfortable and valued. She took the time to really listen to what I wanted, answered all of my questions with patience, and made sure to ask for my opinion before moving forward. What I really appreciated is that while she respected my preferences, she also offered her professional expertise and recommendations on color and style, things I never would have thought of myself.

The result? Stunning. My husband said it’s the best my hair has ever looked, and I received so many compliments at work; it gave me such a confidence boost. The color looks natural, fresh, and dimensional, with that perfect lived-in look balayage is known for. Even the way she styled it at the end made me feel like I had stepped out of a magazine.

On top of her talent, Tatiana is warm, approachable, and clearly passionate about her craft. She’s truly client-centered and goes the extra mile to make sure you leave happy (and looking fabulous). I enlisted Top Knot as HMUA for my wedding and it was without a doubt, the best choice I could have made. Lisa and Erin are incredibly talented and patient and had to work with both adults and children on the morning of the wedding and made us all, especially the girls, feel like royalty!

My very heartfelt appreciation goes to Lisa who was not only down-to-earth and made me feel like family in her hands but also for hearing out my every thought and wish, recreating every hairstyle during my trials with that I even remotely considered, and was able to source last minute hair extensions for my dream hair style (perfect colour match might I add!).

I heard time and time again that many brides regretted their hair and/or makeup at their wedding and I can confidently say I loved both and it’s all thanks to Lisa and Erin.

We hired Top Knot to be our H&MUA for our wedding, and they were lovely! They were incredibly punctual and did amazing work. All of the bridesmaids and mothers looked gorgeous on our special day! They also helped out my husband with styling his hair. I would highly recommend them for your special event!

We rented out Top Knot Parlour for about 7 people for my wedding, and cannot recommend the experience enough. They provided a mimosa bar, yogurt parfaits, a wonderful board with smoked salmon, fruits, cheeses, pastries, etc, dress steaming, and an incredible team of hair and makeup artists. The day started early but felt so relaxing and special, everyone was so kind and helpful, we all looked and felt so beautiful, and overall the day just felt wonderful. Total costs including parlour rental and hair and makeup for all of the girls was about $3700 I think, and absolutely well worth it!

Choosing Top Knot/Neu Hue for my bridal party's hair and makeup services was one of the best decisions we made for our January wedding! Lisa is my usual hairstylist via Neu Hue and it felt natural to have her on my wedding team. During the trial period, I ended up changing my mind on the direction for my makeup, and Lisa and her team were super accommodating, booked me an additional trial, and made me feel completely at ease. On the day of our wedding, my bridal party got ready at the Parlour and it was fantastic! It was a completely stress-free and fun way to spend the morning and of course, everyone left looking and feeling beautiful! Highly, highly recommend Neu Hue and the Parlour experience.

Top Knot Brides did an AMAZING job at my wedding!! My bridesmaids and family members were incredibly happy with our hair and makeup, and my husband was awestruck with the result as well. Their team was super nice, friendly, professional, and a whole lot of fun! My hair tends to be very difficult to style and typically doesn't hold a curl, but Lisa knew exactly what to do - she got my hair to look exactly as I wanted it, and the curls held well into the evening! Steph did a great job with my makeup as well. She was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the products she was using. She and the other artists were also very responsive and knew exactly what to do when we requested changes to our looks.

This hair salon is amazing, the interior is really nice and the staff are so friendly. Lena Letizia is an artist, I have never had such an enjoyable experience during a haircut, and I felt so cared for from start to finish. She is very skilled and I enjoyed having a quiet appointment where I could just relax. I'm very happy with the results and would definitely return here.

Today was my first time going to Two Horses after a few months of wanting to try out this place. I am very satisfied with my haircut and styling. My stylist was Léandre, and he was just wonderful. He listened to everything I said and took his time while working delicately and was very kind. I am used to hairstylists who rush their appointments without giving me the layers I ask for, but Léandre was very attentive and did everything I asked. The rest of the staff seemed very kind as well and the atmosphere was quite welcoming.

Update:
After posting this review, the salon owner reached out and offered a partial refund, which I appreciated. It doesn’t undo the discomfort I experienced during the appointment, but I’m glad they took some responsibility and made an effort to make things right. I’ve also since heard from other people—especially queer folks—who’ve had positive experiences here, so I’m open to the possibility that this was a one-off.

Original Review:
My experience at this salon was thoroughly disappointing from start to finish. What began as a pricing bait-and-switch—quoted $100 over the phone, then told $150 upon arrival for a trim (a 50% increase)—devolved into an uncomfortable situation where I felt treated like nothing more than a wallet.

When I explained the unexpected price increase was beyond my budget, the stylist was not only visibly upset but also tried to charge me without providing any service, claiming their cancellation policy would apply. This happened despite my offer to pay for a hair treatment instead, which would have fit within my original budget and the time we had. We eventually reluctantly agreed on a $100 dry cut with no wash or styling. She only informed me after already beginning to cut that the result "might not be even" due to cutting it dry. The end result? My hair is now frizzier, shorter than I hoped, and as you can see in the picture, uneven. I'm also short of $136 (I tipped out of courtesy).

Most alarming was the aggressive upselling of a "Samy treatment" that the stylist boasted she was the only one offering in Canada. My subsequent research revealed truly concerning information: the treatment's main ingredient, glyoxylic acid, poses serious health risks through skin absorption and has been linked to acute kidney injury and calcium oxalate nephropathy in medical literature, with some cases requiring dialysis. These significant health risks were never mentioned during the hard sell. She recommended this $300+ treatment be done at least twice to repair the damage in my hair and proudly mentioned having clients who receive it every two months.

As a queer salon, I expected inclusivity and consideration for a first-time client's budget, not to be made to feel like an inconvenience for not spending more. However, I'm most worried about them putting the health of their clients at risk. I can only assume their other stylists might be talented and more considerate, but I couldn't enjoy a single minute of this experience and left feeling disrespected and misled.

A higher price point than others? Yes. But worth every dollar.
I came in with damaged, uneven, thick, frizzy hair and Yuka made sure I left with breezy, soft, and silky hair. She was lovely and I must say that she handles my hair very gently.
I also really appreciate that she gave me advice for styling my hair/caring for it. I usually have to ask stylists and I still don’t have a clear idea. Yuka is very knowledgeable on East Asian hair (like mine) and showed me how to make my hair look pretty.

There are moments you can shell out some money for a proper good haircut. Today was that day for me.
$95 for the shampoo + cut and $35 for a repair treatment. Not bad at all! Recommend!

I’ve been going to Kat for years at this point and would definitely recommend the crew at this salon to anyone! As far as Kat goes, they are very attentive, patient, and great at communicating to make sure you’re both on the same page with the cut. I also have wavy/curly ish hair and Kat knew how to style and dry it without messing up the texture.

I was looking to change hair salon. I found Salon vibes in DDO. When I read the reviews I saw all of the amazing comments that people have written about Tammy and decided that I wanted her to do my hair absolutely.

Tammy coloured, toned, cut and blow dried my hair and it turned out simply gorgeous!

She understands hair like no other Hairdresser that I had ever met. And she also takes the time to understand what you want and is not rushed at all.

Tammy from Salon Vibes was absolutely amazing. She was very sweet and friendly. Her style made me look elegant and feel special. It lasted all day, from 9am until past midnight. It survived dancing and even a ride in a convertible on the highway! She worked so well with my makeup artist to provide a beautiful look. She was creative to arrange and put my two headpieces in place. She even helped some of my relatives pin flowers in their hair. Vibes is an amazing salon with top quality hair stylists and makeup artists! I get my hair cut regularly by Marisa S, she always does a great job and listens to what I want. She did my wedding hair and made me feel so special on my wedding day. Lorena did my makeup and I have never felt more beautiful in my life. My entire bridal party had their hair and make up done at Vibes and it was a really nice way to start the day. Everyone looked fantastic and our hair and makeup lasted all night. The last photo I posted was after hours of dancing and my hair was still perfect!

Love this salon. Recently had my hair cut by Tammy. She did a fantastic job. I received so many compliments. She even recommended some products, Kevin Murphy, they did not disappoint. Well worth it. I highly recommend.

Every time I come here everyone is always super kind and welcoming. I usually get my waxing and pedicure done with either Laurina or Fatima and they are both super kind and always make sure I leave satisfied and content. I also get the occasional haircut with Marissa and she’s always amazing :) I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so!

I have been going to Zandrea since July 2024 and I have to say I have found my forever home. When I first went to see Zandrea my hair and scalp was in rough shape. She took her time to ensure that my extensions were strategically placed for optimal scalp recovery and hair health. The big thing about this hair salon is they should let you know that some of the girls are still apprenticing for their license. I really wanted a nice haircut. I went from medium to very short hair thank goodness hair Grows! I should mention that the people they are very nice. Update,

Big fan of Bangles, have always treasured getting my lashes and brows done by Crystal. I have to say that Jessica absolutely made my day by the best cut and colour that was probably the best one I’ve ever had. She did high and low lights, the best cut, took her time, in the best way! Listened to what I wanted, and I left feeling like a Queen! Always a great experience at Bangles, and Jessica, I highly recommend, she is made for her job, and I think she would make every person feel as great as I did. ❤️❤️❤️

The haircuts could really, really, be better. I have layers and wavy hair, and they never really knew what to do with it. Many times, i just went home and fixed it myself. My husband went for a haircut too and hated it so much. Was never really convinced with the quality.

Got a massage here and it was fantastic, really loosened my shoulders! They're pretty tight on average so I didn't expect much, but it's been some time and I'm still feeling better than before.

I went to Bangles Hair Salon to get my Hair Cut in Strathmore! Keely cut my hair and did a Fantastic job!! I would recommend Keely to everyone! She is a real Pro when she cuts your hair!! Definately will be back! Thanks Keely!!

This was my first visit to BossArts, and I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut by Rebecca. I have thick, curly hair, and she did an amazing job-shampooing, conditioning, cutting, and diffusing it perfectly. I really appreciated how she understood my curls and brought out their natural shape. I left feeling extremely happy with how my hair turned out!

I have really thick and hard to style hair and have had so many bad experiences with stylists that have otherwise good ratings. I reached out to BossArts after hearing good reviews from thick hair girlies and the salon asked me for pics before pairing me with Rajaa. She took a full hour just with the cut then gave me a great blow out. I’ve spent years avoiding haircuts and I think this was the best I’ve ever had. Rajaa is a serious expert. Adding a before pick and two after - but they really don’t do justice to how much healthier and bouncier my hair looks.

Rajaa is amazing! She’s done multiple cuts, styles, and balayage for me, and she nails it every time. I spent years bouncing between salons, but I finally found my stylist!

The salon is always clean and well-run, and I love how easy it is to book. I also notice other clients leaving happy after every visit, which says a lot!! Plus, the social media is a great touch—I was able to check out Rajaa’s work in detail before booking. Highly recommend!

I have never been to a curly hair specialist and so when I came across Amy’s instagram, I decided to bite the bullet. Let me just say that I am so happy I chose her to cut my hair. She is so knowledgeable and was able to cut and shape my hair while maintaining length like I asked. I’ve never been so happy with a haircut! This place is a bit pricey but it is so worth it :)

I took my kid here because their website claimed to be curly hair experts. They aren’t. Don’t go thinking that’s what you’ll receive.
They are also way over priced - they wanted to charge me $440 for my kid to get 12 foil highlights and a trim that was done with clippers that took 30 seconds - literally - on my curly long haired kid. And then sent her on her way with 0 styling. Nothing. Apparently those 12 foils were $340 and the “haircut” was another $104, all because her hair is long. I get full highlights and my hair is down to my armpits + full cut, layers and blow out + style and I pay $210 and give a $40 tip. I don’t remember the name of the stylist and wouldn’t post it if I did. The highlights were fine. I was irritated with the experience. We were there for 3 hours - she was over booked and left my kid sitting around a lot. We booked a full colour online which should have given her enough time for the little she did. It does not take more time to foil long hair than shoulder length hair - and again there was 0 styling. Her hair was wet and frizzy with no curl shaping at all. Needless to say I had to fix it when we got home as the “cut” was also uneven - which will happen when you simply use clippers and don’t section at all. Anyhow - curly hair experts - no. Reasonable rates - no. Quality experience for the price (which I wouldn’t mind paying if we actually got the service) - absolutely not. Never ever going back.

Corina and her team are excellent stylists, funny and kind. They always deliver the best results in an efficient manner, at a reasonable price. She always understands exactly what I want in spite of giving a very brief description. I highly recommend this salon to everyone, regardless of gender, as they tick all the boxes. I have become a loyal client and will stick with Corina and her team as long as I can for any hairstyle I’m in the mood for.

I moved to Montreal in 2021 after living in Europe and the US, and for years I struggled to find a salon that could deliver the same high-quality balayage I was used to abroad. Most salons I tried were average at best, and the color didn’t grow out well. Since I prefer a natural, rooty blonde look that requires less frequent touch-ups, it was important to find someone I could trust with both technique and vision.

That all changed when I discovered En Vogue. The first time I met Ionela, I was honestly nervous; I had been disappointed so many times before. I explained what I was looking for, showed her pictures of past color I loved, and even admitted how hesitant I felt. She listened carefully, explained her approach step by step, and then delivered the most beautiful result.

Corina gave me the perfect cut to match, and I’ve been returning to both of them ever since 2023.

Ionela and Corina are truly exceptional. If you’re looking for global-level quality, attention to detail, and stylists who genuinely care about how you look and feel, I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Absolutely do NOT recommend this salon.
I went in for a balayage and left with what looks like a DIY bleach job done in the dark. The back of my hair is patchy, uneven, and literally three different colors with zero blending. It’s like they stopped trying halfway through. They clearly put effort into making the top layer look “okay” so you don’t notice the disaster hiding underneath until you actually look at your hair especially in natural light. It’s beyond disappointing and honestly feels deceptive.

Keep in mind they charge top dollar for this kind of work. I paid close to $600 for this mess and only realized how bad it was after another hairdresser showed me what was hiding in the back & underneath and it took her HOURS to fix the mess they’ve made. If you’re not an influencer, they will botch your hair simple as that.
Save your money and your hair.

Ambar is excellent with bridal makeup and hair—no complaints there, she really delivers for brides. However, for regular customers, the experience was disappointing. They reused the same brushes on multiple clients, which is not hygienic. Timing was also an issue: we were supposed to be done by 4 PM, but they took in three other clients while we waited and we didn’t finish until 7 PM. Around 3 PM, Ambar reassured us we’d be done before 5, but that wasn’t the case. The makeup itself was okay, but they used very basic products for non-bridal clients. If you’re a bride, I’d recommend her. For regular services, unfortunately, I would not.

Always an incredible experience with Shaun when it comes to your hair! He’s a magical when it comes to blondes! He’s been styling my hair in Vancouver and now here in Calgary, has helped me maintain my bright blonde while keeping it healthy. I always leave the salon feeling like a new person, not to mention how much of a treat he is to talk to! By far my favourite stylist I’ve had, highly recommend booking in with him!

I got extensions at this salon and paid a LOT for them... close to $1600 after install.. only for them to shed by handfulls in the shower amd during sleep. After 2 months in, the hair was disastrously thin.. it looked awful. I contacted the salon owner to complain and hopefully find resolve because I had saved for a year to get these extensions... she told me to send them in and she would send them away to the manufacturer. I sent them back and she told me that it looked like an issue with how I cared for them.... This was the second set of extensions I had gotten with this salon - I used expensive shampoo from their salon and followed the exact same hair care routine and had zero issues with my previous experience.... I did tell her this, however I never heard back from her. I called numerous times and never got ang resolve..... I would have liked to have been a repeat customer for the rest of my life but thks experience left me with such a sour taste in my mouth.. save your money and go somewhere where they care about their clients.

I always go to see Hope as she’s my go to for all things hair, for the past few years. I followed her from the extensionist to painted pretty, she’s absolutely amazing and so skilled in what she does. The staff are so accommodating, and if I can’t get in to see Hope then I will ask for Courtney, she’s so sweet and amazing also! Does amazing curls. Everyone’s so sweet and accommodating. I recommend these two girls and this location to everyone I know. Prices are reasonable too.

Got my hair cut and styled by Nicola. She gave me a wonderful cut! Very stylish and easy to manage on my own. She also took the time to pause and check that I was happy with the length and cut as we went. Added bonus- very friendly and east to chat with!

I had a lovely experience with Dani. Although I didn’t get my hair done by her, she ordered in some hair extensions to the salon for me when I wasn’t able to get the website to work to ship them to my house. She was back and forth with me for days keeping me in the loop over instagram when the shipping company had tried to deliver them when the salon was closed. She was such a pleasure to talk to and her customer service skills were amazing. I can’t wait to book an actual service with her in the future.

A great salon! They are very kind, they are always on time and the service is very great (water, coffee, tea, snacks, etc ). The salon is very clean too!

I did a Tanino treatment at this salon, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The heat was way too high, and she made a professional mistake that seriously damaged my hair. When I expressed my concern, she was rude and aggressive. Completely unprofessional. I do not recommend.

I came to Salon Fiorella a couple of weeks ago for a booked appointment with Christa and left feeling very happy and satisfied. Firstly, the atmosphere was very welcoming. For my hair, I gave her a few pointers of what I wanted and she was able to deliver exactly what I was hoping for. She also gave me tips on how to keep proper colouring until my next appointment. I got a balayage, hair trimming, layering and face framing, and she styled it beautifully before I left. I’d definitely recommend!

Kayla is a gem! She styled my hair for a gala, and not only did it look stunning, but it lasted all night without a single touch-up needed.

After my long-time stylist retired, I spent a year bouncing from salon to salon trying to find a place that could you give me silver blonde highlights AND cut my hair the way I like it. I had a few bad experiences on that journey, so by the time I walked into Fiorella, my expectations were low. I was impressed first by the look of the place. The salon is spacious and has a minimalist elegance, bright white and full of mirrors. I was also impressed by the customer service, which is welcoming and attentive. I started with a consult appointment with Alex, a colour specialist. I showed her photos of the silvery blonde I was hoping to achieve and she said no problem. I went back the following week and was thrilled with what she did. As my colour was processing, all around me, I saw happy ladies like myself, gossiping, reading magazines, just enjoying being pampered. I felt like I was in a Pedro Almodovar movie. Alex gave me the bright highlights I wanted around my face and Mina gave me the best, most luxurious shampoo and head massage I've ever had at a salon. Alisha did a great job of my cut. Checking out, I was surprised by how reasonable the charge was considering how many people had looked after me. On top of all this, the staff seem genuinely happy. Many of them have worked for this salon since it was Rinaldos in a different location decades ago. Happy long-time staff are always a good sign. I'm relieved to have finally found a salon where I feel I'm in capable hands. I look forward to my next appointment.

I've been going to Elio since 2016, and I can honestly say it’s been an amazing experience every single time. Although my haircut experience went well I am extremely disappointed in their professionalism. They have cancelled day of for me twice now - which I can understand for some circumstances but for the only two haircuts I booked to both be cancelled last minute it’s worth just going somewhere else since they are extremely unreliable.

Thank you for the response, the second appointment I booked was for my significant other whose appointment was also cancelled day of. I called and scheduled it, but it was not under my file. Not sure I see battling it out in Google reviews as professionalism considering you have my phone number on file. I can be sympathetic to one cancellation but two DAY OF is directly uncalled for especially when I recommend this service to other people. Google reviews are an excellent way to get know a business therefore I have a right to express my opinion on the services.

I have tried many places in Montreal but I found that this place is the only one which understands what do I want and which cares about me. Also the haircut comes with a small massage which I love.

Had the BEST experience here with Souad! She did what no other stylist I’ve been to could and finally fixed the bad haircut I got over a year ago. Now I have the best haircut I’ve ever had. Plus she gave me the best head massage and was a lovely presence to be around during the cut. Can’t wait to go back ❤️
