I’ve been going to Keri for around 20 years and I can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my hair!

Not only is Keri super talented, but she also takes the time to really listen and understand what I want (even when I’m not totally sure myself!). She has kept my hair healthy and looking great through countless cuts, colors, and transformations. She always has ideas for my hair and I’ve always appreciated this personalized approach. Keri has done my hair for my wedding and I’ve seen her for makeup application. I’ve referred friends to her who have complimented my hair.

Keri is wonderful! She asks lots of questions to find out what I like and don’t like about my hair in order to make a game plan, even following up with a detailed email. She is truly a lovely person and I always look forward to going to see her. And she gives the best scalp massage during the shampoo! I appreciate that she is available for a variety of times including some evenings and Saturdays. Add to that her super cute, tucked away salon - it’s always a great experience when it’s time for another cut :)

I have been going to Maison Noi since they’ve opened and Robin, the owner has been cutting my hair since the beginning. He came highly recommended, teaches hair styling at Algonkin College and is the best stylist I’ve ever had. My wife always loves my hair. The most consistent stylist I’ve ever had and hope to keep.

Hsawmo Shine did such a good job on my hair! I booked an apprentice cut and I'm very happy with the outcome! My hair is very thick and she did an excellent job at cutting layers. She is very talented and I will definitely be booking with her again in the future. :)

Fantastic experience with hair stylist Haesol! I booked a curly cut and it was obvious she knows the nuisances of curls. She gave me the exact cut I was looking for to freshen up while keeping as much length as possible. She was easy to talk with and delivered exceptional service.
The salon atmosphere is bright and welcoming, with an abundance of live plants. It's easy to drive to and has ample parking lot parking.

I’ve known Robin and Emilie for 10 years now when they were both working at another salon and I followed them at Maison Noi. I’ve always enjoyed the experience and my haircut there. That was the BEST experience ive ever had at a salon. First, i spent 4 hours there cs i was changing a lot in my hair and they were always so caring and thoughtful, always checking up if I needed anything, if all was okay etc. Second, the transformation they did on my hair was incredible. The hairdresser was Elias and he did what i wanted ! And Mandy, the woman i had the consultation with, was so helpful and she understood what i wanted and made sure to deliver the results. I finally found a salon i can go back to maintain my hair (its also super clean and a beautiful vibe) !! Thanks a lot ❤️❤️❤️

I don’t really know what to say… I came in just to consult about bangs. I have curly hair so I washed and styled it because it should be cut dry to account for shrinkage. They rinsed my hair, kept walking away from me, did a couple of snips. I had so many pictures (added) I showed him… I wanted to cry. I walked out looking crazy I was so embarrassed. I attached a photo of the final, along with the reference photos I showed them - I paied 40$. The lady was nice though

The best salon experience I’ve ever had! I’ve tried many over the years, but Justin truly stands out—attentive, gentle, and he gave me the best head massage ever. My color and cut are absolutely perfect, and he really made me feel amazing. I called last minute hoping for a same-day appointment, and Mandyz managed to fit me in quickly with her team. After this experience, I don’t need to look for another salon again! A huge thank you, and see you very soon.

I had an amazing experience in Mandyz, they were so warm and welcoming. I wanted to cut my hair in layers and style it. Tania absolutely killed it! My hair looks amazingggg. She asked me what I wanted and did exactly that, which turned out better than I could dream of. Thank you so much!!!!

I had a fantastic experience at this salon for my perm! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable and taken care of throughout the appointment. What really stood out to me was the support I received even after the perm was done. The salon was super responsive to any questions or concerns I had in the days following, which made the whole process feel really reassuring. Their aftercare support was just as great as the service itself.
10/10 would recommend to anyone considering a perm—or really any hair service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Dani is a wizard—truly one of the best hairstylists I’ve ever encountered. I went in for a balayage and walked out with EXACTLY what I had asked for! He takes the time to really listen and never rushes you 😍

I am extremely disappointed with Dani's services. His lack of professionalism and quality of services, in addition to his blatant disregard for people's time is enough for me not to use his services again or recommend him to anyone I know.

Dani was recommended to me by a friend in Ottawa for mobile hair services. I am from Toronto and was coming into Ottawa for a friend's wedding for which I was a bridesmaid. Dani was doing hair for several people that day at the same location and I had the first appointment at 7am. I texted Dani the night before to confirm my time slot and to ensure he would have time to put in my extensions the next day. He confirmed both, going as far as to say "see you tomorrow at 7am".

I was at the meeting location right on time but Dani was not. I texted him at 7:03am and then again at 7:33am. He finally texted me back to say his colleague would start on my hair in the meantime as he needed to pick something up. I informed him that his colleague had already started on someone else who also had a 7am appointment. I also informed him that I had another appointment at 9am and needed to leave by 8:40am. We called Dani at least three times between 7am and 8am and each time he gave an estimate as to his arrival that was not accurate.

Around 8:15am, Dani waltzed in. He did not apologize once to all of us who were waiting for him or the fact that now everyone was effectively running late because of him. Several ladies had makeup schedules which had been carefully planned with ladies rotating between hair and makeup. My makeup appointment was scheduled for 9am at another location. Dani assured me my hair would be blow dried and curled with extensions by that time.

Dani rushed through doing my hair and extensions. There was no care taken with my hair at all. When it came to paying, Dani asked for full price + travel, which was ridiculous to me given that I waiting over an hour for him to show up. When I reminded him of this, he did not care, and informed me that he still had to account for his travel time. I paid him what he asked for, despite the blatant disregard for my time and schedule. Unfortunately, my hair did not last at all. I was required to re-curl it twice and I have never had that experience any other time I've gotten my hair done (which I estimate to be several times a year for the last 20 years). Would not recommend and the stress and money was not worth it.

Life is more beautiful when you meet the right hairdresser. What can I say more about Raya ? The welcoming is outstanding and exceeding all expectations . I went there with a dull hair and left with shiny healthy hair after protein session. I was completely impressed with professionalism and customer service.

I won’t get my hero cut anywhere else! Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. My hair is curly, so it’s been a bit of a struggle to find someone who doesn’t cut it too short, but Dolly is the best hair dresser I’ve been to! I’ve even brought a friend to cut his hair here and he’s now a regular.

Mely did my hair at my wedding day , she did very well for trial but at my wedding day she was so stressed, she didn't do my hair the model i wanted and she had a difficultly to put the tiara and she answered so disrespectful, i booked her until 12pm and she said she needs to leave because she has another appointment, so disappointed for her service and price that i paid for her, never I'm not going to try her, i found she needs more experience for bride

My hair stylist moved to the east coast years ago. I felt lost and untrusting after he moved to another province.
I was cutting my own hair for 5 years and I finally decided to take a leap of faith and walked into Mint Hair Studio.
I have long, thick, coarse hair that I no longer color, and was booked with Brianne, who has been in the industry for years. She understood how sensitive I was in getting my hair cut. She took her time, had great conversation and checked to ensure I was satisfied throughout my time in her chair.
From the bottom of my heart, she's made me feel like a million bucks all over again. I would recommend her and the salon to anyone.

Maegan worked a miracle with my fried hair. She fixed years of diy hair disasters in one sitting. Super great to talk with, she's clear about what can and can't be done, what is best for your lifestyle, etc.

On Monday, July 21st, my friend (let’s call her Julia) called this salon to try to book a last-minute haircut appointment for me. An appointment was scheduled for Friday, July 25th at 3:00 pm. I was cutting ties with my previous hairstylist, and Julia recommended this salon (her usual spot) and offered to see if they could fit me in. I had an upcoming wedding on Sunday, July 27th, so I was urgently looking to get a haircut. However, Julia never received any official confirmation from the salon about the booking.

Wanting to be cautious, I messaged the salon via Instagram expressing some nervousness about seeing a new stylist. They responded on Tuesday, July 22nd at 5:17 pm. I never replied, which was my oversight.

Unfortunately, on the evening of Thursday, July 24th, a family member of mine passed away. The next day, Friday, July 25th at 3:08 pm, the salon called asking where I was. I had completely forgotten about the appointment due to the emotional weight of the situation. I had also never received a reminder or follow-up from the salon via email, text, or Instagram DM. Additionally, I had been fortunate to get a last-minute haircut through my husband’s best friend’s mother’s salon on Tuesday evening (which Julia was aware of).

I missed their call and received a voicemail saying I was late and that if this was a no-show, I would need to pay a fee the next time I booked. I also received a message on Instagram from the salon asking where I was.

I immediately replied, apologizing and explaining that I had assumed Julia had canceled the appointment. Still, I said I was willing to pay a no-show fee and asked how much it would be and what the preferred payment method was. I also shared that a close family member had passed away. Both messages were seen, but I received no response.

Meanwhile, the salon also messaged Julia asking where I was. She told them I wouldn't be attending due to the death in the family and expressed her apologies. The salon responded with, and I quote:
"interesting. im so glad she was able to get her hair done on tuesday night. have a great weekend"

This message was not only unprofessional but also incredibly insensitive, especially given the context. It came across as petty and made it seem like the salon cared more about the missed appointment than the fact that I had experienced a death in the family - even though I understand they weren’t necessarily obligated to show sympathy. Despite the situation, I took full responsibility for missing the appointment and offered to pay the fee. There was no need for sarcasm or judgment.

I called the salon about an hour ago and spoke with Kristine, the owner, who had also been managing the Instagram messages. I explained my perspective. She said she had received two different versions of the story and was simply trying to "get to the bottom of it". She also mentioned she doesn’t check Instagram throughout the day because she’s very busy. Instead of acknowledging that her message to Julia was lacking in empathy and came across as unnecessarily rude, she deflected responsibility by using dismissive phrases like “I’m sorry you feel that way” and “I’m sorry you took it that way.”

While I completely understand that running a salon can be hectic, the issue here is not about response time - it’s about the tone and content of the message sent to Julia. It showed a lack of compassion and professionalism. Kristine didn’t need to know the details of my personal life, but both Julia and I shared them as a courtesy, since I missed the appointment. That courtesy was not returned.

I’ve never actually been to this salon, and I’m truly glad I never have - and never will.

I recently got the MK Biotin treatment done and it was absolutely amazing! Although Moodie specializes in a range of women’s hair treatments, he welcomed me as a male client and delivered the exact haircut I’d been struggling to find — especially with longer hair. He was attentive, precise, and genuinely cared about helping me get the look I wanted.

On top of that, he took the time to recommend a clear hair care protocol to support regrowth in the thinning areas of my scalp.

Honestly, it’s the best hairstyle I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

I was very hesitant about trying a new stylist I have had things go very wrong in the past. I had booked a cut and balayage colour and I was very happy with the outcome. Moodie is highly knowledgeable and passionate about hair and talked me through every step. He got me so interested in treatments that I came back to have a toner done, it took no time at all and my hair was restored to a soft beautiful Color. The prices are fair and he is a skillful stylist. I would recommend Moodie to my friends.

I have nothing but good things to say about this hair salon. I used them as my wedding hair stylist, and they delivered outstanding service!
First of all, BRIDES- choose this place! They shut down their whole salon for us so we could have our own private venue to get ready. We had mimosas, and were able to bring in our own snacks and tunes.
Secondly, their prices are very reasonable! One issue that I had being a bride was almost every location (other than Niccio) I was looking at had separate outrageous fees for the bride just because it's her "big day". Niccio Hair has very reasonable prices with exceptional service!!
Lastly, they did an amazing job in a decent amount of time! there were 6 of us getting our hair done, and they did it all in around 3 hours time. I was impressed!!

Staff were super friendly and very knowledgable! I could go on and on about them.

Overall, if I could give Niccio higher than a 5-star review, I would! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

If I could rate this place a 10/5, I would do it. Chad and George are miracle workers. They're the brains and heart of the business, respectively. Together, they're a great team. All other employees at the salon were friendly, professional, and pleasant to interact with.

I also couldn't be happier with the colour George did on my hair. My hair's almost black naturally and he gave me a beautiful blonde balayage in just one session! He far exceeded expectations and I'm floored at how good the dye job looks.

I had another salon in Ottawa that I went to previously, but this place has definitely stolen me away (in a good way!) So yesterday was my third appointment with Amanda, every time she sees what I’m envisioning for the cut and nails EXACTLY what I want! I also need to add that I’m a general very shy and anxious person and Amanda always makes me feel so comfortable. I would recommend Amanda to anyone, especially if you enjoy a more creative cut because she totally nails them.

This was my first time at this salon and I can only say great things! Front desk was very nice and welcoming. Dawna did a great job on my haircut. I showed her a reference photo of what I wanted and she exceeded the expectation. She was great at listening to what I wanted and gave her own input which I appreciated. I have always had my high fade to a proper coif in front done by the AMAZING Sarah and have always left this studio totally expecting the papparazzi to leap out and start snapping pictures of my movie star like appearance every few weeks, which they do not but I am always ready for em when leaving On Edge Studio :)

Had the most amazing experience at OnEdge. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and cared for. Robin was absolutely incredible, so patient with my hair. She worked wonders on my curls, gave me a beautiful balayage with subtle highlights, and a perfect haircut.

The attention to detail was impeccable, especially when it came to carefully brushing and handling my hair. The finger coiling we chose instead of a blow-dry was truly the cherry on top. Mcurls have never looked so defined and gorgeous!

The atmosphere in the salon was so warm and festive. The owner even had a tray full of delicious food to share with everyone, which added such a personal touch to the experience.

Amazing service by everyone at the salon. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. I showed Leah a picture of what I wanted and she immediately understood and explained it all. I finally have the haircut I’ve been wanting forever!

As a male with long hair, I chose this salon believing it would be the right place to get a high-quality cut tailored to my needs—especially since I was willing to pay more than I would at a typical barber. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced.

I specifically asked to keep my hair long. It was just below my shoulders when I walked in—and by the time I left, it had been chopped up to my ears. My request was ignored entirely. Over a year of growth and care was gone in a matter of minutes, without warning or consultation.

If you're a man with long hair, I strongly advise thinking twice before coming here. Price does not guarantee attention to detail or respect for your input. In my experience, that expectation was not met.

I had an amazing experience at Rose & Rebel Salon! Leah, my stylist, was fantastic from start to finish. During the consultation, she listened carefully and suggested a cut and style that perfectly complemented my face shape. The beach waves she created were absolutely stunning and exactly what I wanted. Leah’s skill and attention to detail made me feel confident and pampered. Nicole has been doing my hair since 2016, and she is an amazing stylist. She’s reliable, attentive to detail, and always able to recreate a style to perfection. I trusted her on my wedding day, and she did a fabulous job.

I have been going to RubyRuby Hair for over a year now getting sew in extension, I can definitely say I wouldn’t go anywhere else. My hair has not only gotten healthier with her techniques, but I’m finally seeing hair growth after 2 years of being stuck with the same length hair. I had the absolute pleasure of getting my extensions installed by Ruby Ruby, and let me just say—she is a true hair goddess! From start to finish, the experience was incredible. She was so sweet, welcoming, and professional, and her attention to detail is unmatched.

Not only did she do an amazing job with the installation (my hair looks flawless!), but she also took the time to guide me every step of the way—making sure I understood how to care for my extensions properly to avoid any damage. It wasn’t just a hair appointment, it was a full-on VIP experience.

When I first booked an appointment at RubyRuby Hair, it was my first time getting a partial sew-in weave and I wasn’t sure what type of extensions I should get since I was going on a trip shortly after…so Nicole was very patient, understanding and gave me LOTS of information, showed me pictures/videos of her work and gave me the best advice! And after finally deciding on a hairstyle, I was VERY happy with the results! Ended up having the best time on my vacation/birthday + my hair was still looking amazing for the holidays as well!!

Today (February 27, 2025) I had my hair cut and styled by Faith (hairdresser at the Strathmore Runway Hair Design Company Inc.). I am very pleased with the result; and the experience was very positive. Faith was very attentive to what I wanted and Faith made efforts to transform my ideas to make me feel better about myself than just 'plain' grandma. Faith took the time to trim the back of my hair a second time and to make adjustments with the layers as we discussed what I preferred. I am very pleased with this service and I want to recommend this hair salon, and Faith as a hairdresser, to anyone who is looking for a new look or to manage their hairstyle.

Nice salon for sure. Decent place to get a straight forward man's cut for a fair price. They won't absolutely cookie cutter it like the barber shop by M & M meats, and they won't push you to do something more adventurous if you don't want. If you want anything more unique they have obviously got that covered too. I always go with Melissa.

I've made this place my chosen hair cut option after struggling to find a barber shop or salon in Strathmore that was the right balance of simple yet also sophisticated as you want to be.

To walk in salon Christopher’s it’s like walking into my friend’s house, staff is so warm and welcoming, coffee is offered to you right away. I’m one of the lucky ones that gets to be taken care of by Christopher himself. We were able to work to a specific colour that is totally rocking. Shampooing, colour, cut, blow dry get them all it’s worth it I promise you. Best salon in town, I keep recommending it over and over.

Monica is literally the best hair dresser I know. I’ve been seeing her for the last 10 years and I trust her so much that when I come in and she asks what we’re doing I tell her whatever she wants. She always nails the color or the cut and she’s just fantastic. She tells me details about my hair like it’s a science. She can even tell me what side I sleep on the most…. Truly a magician and I would not trust anybody with my hair as much as I trust her.

I went to Salon Drake for the first time yesterday and had the most wonderful experience with the stylist Sabrina. Sabrina was such a pleasure to work with! We did a huge transformation (cut & colour) on my hair and she was kind, attentive and supportive the entire time. She really went above and beyond and I can't recommend her enough! The salon itself is also adorable and extremely welcoming. 12/10!

Giving 2 stars because the owner Malina seems like a genuinely good person and I was refunded for this mess...

However, my hair is absolutely butchered after having Alexandra work on it. I entered the salon with 3 years of previous highlight work from a higher end salon in a different country. They would always foil my hair and gradually got me to a nice level of blonde.

I really struggled to find a good salon since moving to Montreal and put A LOT of research (and trust) into google reviews. I finally settled on Gamme. At this point I had about 1 year of regrowth to give my hair some time from damaging it further from the bleach.

When I entered the salon my hair was down to my lower back and when I left the salon it was barely past my shoulders and half the thickness. Instead of foiling my hair Alexandra decided to apply bleach all over my head completely... no technique, no foils.. just bleach all over like any of us could do at home.

She went over all previously highlighted hair and just bleached away. The whole time she seemed more concerned with talking about gossip in her life rather than focusing on my hair. I thought she was friendly so I didn't mind chit chatting but when I realized she was not even paying attention or caring about my hair it started to annoy me.

After 8 hours of bleaching/toning/drying my hair, the great reveal was a mess of yellow pee blonde roots to about 4 inches down for it to change to a harsh line dividing it into a copper orange color. A harsh line dividing a mix of 5 different colors which all are muddy and ugly. Of course she was smiling and pretending like it's just part of the process, I voiced that I didn't like the spots in my hair, her solution was to tone it a second time to the orange color to make it match, I said no I don't want that color and she told me she would tone it a blonde that's neutral and would make it match but she wanted to cut it first.

After chopping off a bunch of hair as well as more than 6 inches of my hair was falling she tried to throw a towel over the hair on the floor to hide it and she was throwing the hair that was coming out from my head onto her brush to the side to hide that too. Then she tones it and kept suggesting that I should let her put curls in my hair even though I didn't want curls. She says she wanted to do it for her instagram story (but now I know it was to try to hide the mismatch colors).

At the end I could visibly see it was and orange mess, I still paid out of pure shock but even my optimistic boyfriend couldn't cover his pure shock of why anyone in a salon would do that to someone's hair and let them walk out like that.

When I got home I realized she even cut the hair uneven, she never parted it down the middle when she did cut it, it was more like her chopping and hacking away in a panic to hide her botched job. I honestly sit here wondering how this girl ever became a hairstylist.

I would never suggest anyone to go to her if you go to this Salon. I feel bad leaving the review because Malina was so nice but I CANNOT let anyone go through this. At minimum it'll cost me thousands to fix but mostly it's cost me not being able to go out in public or feel good about myself, years of hair growth lost and probably will have to go back to dark hair that I can't dye blonde for years as well. Worst hair experience of my life.

I visited Salon Gamme after finally getting fed up with the constant root touch-ups and decided it was time to fully embrace the grey—and I’m so glad I did! After chatting with the stylist (who totally got what I was going for), I trusted her suggestion and let her work her magic. The result? Even better than I imagined! My friends couldn’t stop complimenting the new look. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend!

I wanted to share my recent experience here as I am quite disappointed with how my hair turned out. I had high hopes for a beautiful hair colour, but unfortunately, I paid over $400 with the outcome was nothing short of a disaster.

During the hair dye process, my hairdresser failed to complete the bleach properly, which resulted in my hair being severely burned. I later realized that this might have happened because my hair was already weakened from exposure to water at a water park. The bleach used didn't seem to work well, and the hairdresser told me that achieving the colour I wanted might not be possible.

Although the hairdresser assured me she would try her best to give me a satisfactory color, the end result was uneven and much paler than anticipated.

I reached out to the salon for assistance, and the hairdresser suggested a product to improve the color. However, this product didn't provide any noticeable improvement, leaving me feeling quite disappointed.

I genuinely appreciate the effort the hairdresser put in and her friendly approach, but unfortunately, the overall experience has left me feeling incredibly self-conscious and embarrassed about my appearance. I cringe every time someone asks me about my hair dye, and I am unable to confidently go out in public.

I'm reaching out with the hope that Salon can help find a solution. I understand the hairdresser tried her best, but I'm not satisfied with how my hair turned out. I believe that as a reputable salon, you would want to ensure your clients leave feeling beautiful and confident, which unfortunately was not my experience.

I’ve been to the salon a few times. And each time, I’m not very satisfied. The last time I went, I explained and specified , and even showed a picture, that I wanted the back to be cut a little because it’s thick. When I got home, I touched and looked and realized that she removed more than I asked. She removed all the mass of hair, I have so much difficulty styling it. she didn’t bring me the mirror for me to check the back. I’m really disappointed and upset!

My stylist Minh was super super attentive to my needs , third time having my hair done with. blonde highlights and he delivers every time ! He made my hair feel super soft, looking fresh and healthy and glowing ready for my wedding day in 3 weeks time . I can’t thank him enough for his special care and attention. Highly recommend Minh for anyone wanting to do any colour treatment he is the guy for the job !!

I found this place by accident on Google Maps and had the best experience ever. Pal is a true professional with amazing energy and vibe! If I lived in Montreal, this would be my go-to place for hair—because of Pal. Thank you so much for making my hair look so beautiful! I’ve tried so many hairdressers in my life, and this was by far the best haircut and style I’ve ever had. I hope I’ll be back one day!
