After discovering a broken claw on my wedding ring, I turned to the internet to find a reputable and local business to handle the repair.
Goldform came highly recommended, and with reason! Within a week, I got to pick up my ring, shiny and absolutely flawless ✨️ The repair cost was very fair, and the work was done beautifully.

I can not say enough good things about this establishment. From start to finish my experience with Goldform was fantastic. I was looking to have an engagement ring custom made, I went in with a few ideas of what my fiancee would like and a vague idea of what I wanted to do to make it stand out hoping that would be enough for them to work with and they did not disappoint. I worked with Ben and he was great. Ben kept me well informed every step of the way making sure to educate me on my options when necessary. At no point during the process did I feel as though I was being pressured into anything I hadn't asked for. The end product was beautiful, my fiancee loved it and she gets compliments from everyone who sees it. Best decision ever!

Our experience with Goldform was amazing from beginning to end.
We live in Nunavut but we’re getting married in Ottawa. We were trying to shop online to find a wedding band that worked with my ring and couldn’t find a good option. I asked in an Ottawa wedding page for suggestions for a jeweler that could help bring out vision to life. Of the 16 comments 12 were for gold form. I messaged ALL suggestions and the only received 2 replies. One was from another jeweler that I found very “automatic reply” and one was from Shane at gold form. Shane asked for a picture of my ring and suggestions and explained a timeline he could respond with suggestions. He emailed me a few days later with a sketch that he labeled “terrible” and apologized for the quality- well I was blown away, I’d have framed it cause it was beautiful and MORE than I had in mind. After sending my ring via Canada post (stressful! Lol) Shane immediately updated me when received and kept in contact with me through each step offering updates etc. when I saw the finished product I was in tears. My soon to be husband and I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. After that we also asked Shane to make my husbands ring and it was just as gorgeous! I came to town a month before the wedding and he allowed me to stop by on a day they were closed to get my engagement ring and a sneak peak at my set together. When we went to pick up our rings the week before the wedding we interacted with Shane’s son whom I apologize if I remember incorrectly as Ben? Well, he was just as lovely. We paid, he talked about the options they had for cleaning, soldering if we chose and also offered to clean and inspect them anytime we were in town. Although I should have know to go with them from the get go with so many great reviews I was so happy in the end I did! Goldform will be someplace we continue to go back to for all our needs from now on I am so happy and proud to wear their work everyday and get SO many compliments on our rings!!

Constantin worked with my fiancé using family diamonds that he brought in to design the perfect engagement ring. The balance of the stones and the quality of the craftsmanship are exceptional. He also managed to complete the ring within a tight timeline. We came in to have it sized and were invited to watch every step of the process which was so interesting. Constantin is very professional and friendly and we couldn't recommend him more!

I can't recommend Constantin highly enough! He was amazing to work with, and got our 3 bands done last minute and in time for the big day. He took an engagement ring that had been made poorly elsewhere, built it up and finished it beautifully at no charge. Then carved a beautiful, asymmetrical band to fit perfectly around it. The attention to detail in all aspects were amazing and the 2 rings are a perfect pair. Then he discussed about 6 ways to enlarge a heirloom men's band for me, and we decided on hammering it for a special look and minimal risk. The results are amazing and cost next to nothing!
He is a true master craftsman who takes a lot of pride in his work and charges very reasonable rates. We could not be happier, and we'll be sending him as much business as we can.

A True Gem in Montreal!

I wanted to surprise my wife with earrings for her birthday and our upcoming anniversary. Our initial search was unfruitful, with many places feeling just like home. Then, a Google search led us to H.R. Lawrence.

Located in a plain building downtown, Larry's shop was a surprising find. We took an elevator to the eleventh floor and were greeted by Larry, who seemed a bit surprised to see us. After explaining our intent, Larry presented a range of options. We picked out the perfect stones, and Larry promised to craft them into earrings.

Within a couple of days, Larry delivered. The earrings were exquisite, and he included details about the stones and a GIA appraisal. My wife was thrilled.

To top it off, we also learned that Larry had a quirky connection to the watch world. Our trip to Montreal was enriched by this unexpected encounter. Thanks to Larry, it was a success on all fronts.

After visiting about a dozen jewellers around Philip’s Square, I landed on Jivan Collection. I initially met Uncle Joe, who generously shared his rich history while showing me all kinds of gorgeous pieces. Then, I had the pleasure of working with Jivan to design a ring I simply couldn’t find anywhere else. No other studio offered such a warm, welcoming, and personal experience.

Other jewellers were pleasant enough, but many fell short: some were downright misleading, others felt like assembly-line operations, some quoted nearly double the fair market value, others showed poor craftsmanship and a some were just reselling mass-produced rings from abroad at inflated prices.

Having visited many jewelers in Montreal and looking into online retailers such as Blue Nile and James Allen I can say this place exceeded expectation in all categories.

To begin, as they are a family owned business, they don't work on commission so you never feel pushed into making a purchase.

Second they work hard to not only make sure you love your ring, but that you leave without overspending. We bought an exquisite engagement ring with a GIA grade of excellent for the price of $3000. A very similar ring at Birks was $12 000.

The quality of their jewelry is remarkable. I have a relative jeweler that works internationally including owning stores in Dubai, Iran, and Japan and I still decided to go with Laurentian Jewellers as they were offering better quality and prices.

Marie is WONDERFUL. My fiance and I had been in a few times previously just browsing with my parents, and when it came time for our wedding bands, Leno was one of the places I wanted to inquire with about getting a custom band made to match my engagement ring. We have been going to Leno Jewellery for a number of years now. Marie is always super friendly and we find the selection of jewellery does change everytime we visit. Marie has always been able to find the jewellery we are looking for and the price always good. If you give her a budget, she generally will work within. Marie also sells on consignment so if you're ever wanting something, check if she has it because some of the items that come in have never been worn so you can often get a better deal than buying brand new. I ordered the single diamond necklace in yellow gold with the 0.05ct diamond, and asked for the chain to be customised to 15”. The Maidor team was more than happy to accommodate my request. I accidentally selected international surface shipping and was worried it would take over a month to reach Norway—but to my surprise, just a few days later, I was contacted by customs to let me know my parcel was on its way to my local post office!

I couldn’t believe how quickly it arrived from Montreal to the little town I live in here in Norway 🤭.

Upon opening the parcel, I was stunned by the quality and craftsmanship of the necklace.
