We rented beautiful soft blush napkins and silver rimmed glass chargers for our daughter’s wedding yesterday. From the time we met Taylor at a wedding show to pick up, they have been great. Quality products - so many comments on the unique blush colour of the napkins and the rich look of the glass chargers. Don’t hesitate to rent from these guys - excellent service!

Amazing Customer Service when buying a Suit for my 12 years old son today at Growing Kids Billing’s Bridge. After going to multiple stores to find a right size (adult size pants and kids size shirt and vest) for multiple days, I was unable to get the right size. I was served by Elizabeth. She spent time and effort trying to get the right size. Going back and forth to storage and trying on multiple different selections to meet our needs and wants. I had almost lost faith in customer support in Retail but my faith is restored in genuine service to customers. Great job Elizabeth and a heartfelt thank you for your patience and service.

Went in with three girls all under the age of six who were more than excited to be buying one of these beautiful dresses for an upcoming event. I had a mixed experience. Some pieces were fantastic, others felt a bit overpriced for the quality. Would consider trying again during a sale.

I ordered some succulents for a friends baby shower that I was planning and was very pleased with both the product and service. Our event dates changed due to COVID and they were very accommodating. There was a miscommunication causing a shipping delay but they jumped on the issue and resolved it within hours of realizing the issue existed. I highly recommend and will use them again in the future. The product is absolutely gorgeous, cost effective and customer service can't be beat.

Corrie is an expert artist, an absolute professional and uses the highest quality products. I would work with her again in a heartbeat! She was very attentive to the style my mother and I wanted for my brother’s wedding day. My mother and I received many compliments :) My hair and makeup lasted through Ottawa’s summer humidity, a three-course meal, and a night of dancing - definitely a testament to Corrie’s skill and the quality of products she uses.

My experience with Corrie was absolutely amazing. She did hairstyling for me and my entire bridal party for my wedding in Montebello. She was so easy to work with, very flexible, and everyone was extremely happy with their look. She understood right away the look I was going for, and it was even better than what I hoped for on my wedding day. I was so happy and felt amazing. She was also very accommodating for the trial, travelling to my house at a time that worked best in my schedule. I already had a makeup artist booked when I found Corrie, but I have also seen her makeup looks and would book her in a heartbeat for that as well. 10/10.

Corrie & Janessa were amazing! Corrie did my bridal hair and makeup and I have never felt so beautiful! All 80 of our wedding guests could not get over how beautiful everyone looked. It was 35+ with humidity and we all looked fabulous all day and night! Corrie’s professionalism and communication takes away all your worries. Corrie & Janessa had us laughing and falling asleep when in their chairs! I’m very grateful for them and would recommend their services to everyone.

I had been a loyal client of Diana at Hair Republic for several years, which makes this review all the more disappointing to write. In December 2024, I booked an appointment with Diana requesting a vibrant cherry red hair colour. Unfortunately, I left the salon with pitch black hair — a result that was completely misaligned with what I had asked for and the reference photos I provided.

When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the only solution offered was a complimentary toner at my next appointment. This response felt inadequate, given the drastic difference between what I requested and what I received. I was also led to believe that achieving cherry red wasn’t possible using dye alone — something that I later found to be untrue.

In June, I visited a new stylist at a different salon who was able to achieve the exact cherry red tone I initially asked for using only hair dye, no bleach. This not only confirmed that my request had been entirely feasible, but also left me feeling misled and disappointed in the service I received at Hair Republic.

To add to the frustration, I was charged for a senior stylist service, yet the end result did not reflect that level of expertise or care. After being a regular client for years, this experience was extremely disheartening and has unfortunately caused me to take my business elsewhere.

Please see the comparison photos attached — the black hair done by Diana in December, and the successful cherry red colour done by another stylist in June — to understand the significant difference.

Diana styled my hair for my wedding two years ago (writing the review now because I’m still annoyed about it). I had a trial with her before the wedding and I liked what she had done, but she didn’t do it as nicely the day of. For reference the pics show what I requested VS what I got. I think the curl pattern looked super messy and my hair was crispy. I honestly hated it and had to redo my wedding pictures. I still regret letting her style my hair as this day was supposed to be perfect.

I recently got a haircut from Diana, and it was an amazing experience. She understood my hair type and made it versatile for me. I got exactly what I was looking for, and I was very pleased with the result.

However, I have a few tips for anyone planning to visit. First, you’ll need to go in early to find street parking. If your appointment is more than an hour, you’ll need to park further away and walk at least two blocks. The parking limit nearby is only one hour.

I got my hair done by Jennifer S. today and I’m really happy with the result. I showed her inspiration pictures and she went over everything I wanted thoroughly beforehand, and gave me exactly what I wanted!

I went to Nour for my Full Balayage + Signature Blowout and as you can see in the video he has done such a great job. I highly recommend anyone looking for a balayage and blowout to visit here and book in with Nour. He is amazing at what he does. He will be very honest with you and his work shows his dedication and commitment to making you leave from the salon as a better version of yourself. Thank you so much!

Beautiful and well maintained, the steps at the entrance is what every visitor need to be cautious about..high heels and boots may be a bit worrisome at the time of winter or a rainy day... ample amount of parking and a good place to host events.

I had a good experience decorating for my customer small and simple wedding. Good communication, easy to contact anytime . Beatiful hall , big space and clean .I would recommend it for my clients .

Attended Al-Fitra elementary school iftar during Ramadan- was blown away by the atmosphere - brilliant decor, lighting and well executed event. The basement space was used for prayer allowed the upstairs setup to remain intact during the event but could use a little upgrade.

I have been using the hall of peace as an event coordinator for over a year now. I have been very happy with my experience. Whether I was hosting a wedding, any community gathering or my live performance event everything always went very well.

The staff who work here are very friendly and are have been very helpful in addressing both the needs of my clients and any event I have hosted there personally.

The main hall is beautiful with an amazing ambience and great for weddings or larger community event as I have had up to 120 guests at one time and it was still spacious.

The downstairs hall can easily fit a lil over 50 to 60 people and is great for smaller events and gatherings.

There is plenty of parking and my guests have always enjoyed the events I have been able to host here. I am very happy with my experience with this multipurpose event space and will definitely be using it again and again!

Picked up only a few things today. Couldn’t find any school or fall theme items but they did have lots of Christmas stuff in this late August visit.

My daughter and I had a nice experience at Hallmark on a Wednesday evening in August. We were greeted when we entered, received excellent service at the post office, and found a "pop-it" toy my daughter loves. The woman who rang our order in was very kind to both of us. I appreciate this kind of warm service!

The bed is okay but there is no door for the washroom. A simple sliding thing with big opening where you can see anyone inside the washroom. A rude receptionist who will keep saying ‘we cant do anything. Stay or leave’ added to the misery.
Rooms not ready even while checking at 5:30pm. Stay away if you like peace!

I booked a 1 week stay with my family ( 2 adults, 2 children, and 1 dog) and in sum this hotel overpromised and underdelivered.

Despite being told that service staff would make beds, replace towels, replace amenities, and change garbage every other day (As prominently displayed as a sticker in the bathroom), nothing was done unless we made a direct request. Each night we would return and find nothing had changed, and had to ask the night shift for new towels, garbage to be changed, or new toilet paper.
The staff were polite, but took no action to address the root of these issues which was a lack of visits by cleaning staff. We were told multiple times that our concerns had been noted and that our room would be serviced the next day; it became a daily joke for our family to bet on whether or not the room had been serviced. The only time this happened was on our FINAL day of a 7 night stay ( I won the bet).

This was not helped by evening staff being largely absent from the front desk. Calls frequently go unanswered. When I would walk down in the evening I would find no one there. I patiently waited several minutes before someone came out. They were polite, and sent another staff member to replenish towels and change garbage.

Further to the point of a lack of action from hotel staff: On Friday 8 August around 12:30 AM my spouse was awake and in the bathroom when she heard 3 deliberate knocks at our door. This woke me up and alerted our dog who barked in response. My spouse looked through the peephole and then down the hall and saw no one. We had noted that there was a camera at the end of the hall, two doors away from us. We called the front desk immediately about the disturbance, who responded by saying they would look into it. The next morning we followed up with the front desk during our breakfast. They were completely unaware of the incident, and repeated that they would also look into it. As of our checkout 2 days later they were still ‘looking into it’.

At checkout I repeated to the front desk staff the concerns we had raised during the week, namely:
- No cleaning service until the last day, after being told multiple times it would be addressed; and
- The aforementioned late night disturbance that was not relayed to the next shift, and with no follow-up or closure.

Their response remained the same: that they would talk to their team and ‘look into it’

This experience has confirmed for me that I will not visit this hotel again, or recommend it to anyone.

Got in at midnight. The receptionist was super welcoming and respectful. Rooms are cozy and contains all possible amenities - microwave, fridge, safe, laundry room, pool etc. Free breakfast and internet.

I rarely write negative reviews, but after giving this hotel a second chance and experiencing the same issues, I feel obligated to warn other travelers.

The most egregious problem was housekeeping - or rather, the complete lack thereof. During BOTH of my 10-day stays, no one ever cleaned our room despite promises of service every other day. I repeatedly requested cleaning at the front desk (when someone was actually there), and was assured someone would come "today" - they never did. We were forced to use dirty towels and sleep on coffee-stained bedding for days. The wall-mounted shampoo dispensers remained empty throughout our stay.

Out of frustration, I tracked the cleaning staff one day - they spent 3+ hours cleaning just 2-3 rooms before disappearing for the day. The next morning, they started at the exact same spot and made no progress toward our room.

When I arrived, despite having a confirmed reservation for a king bed made weeks in advance, I was told those rooms were "full" and given two queens instead. It reminded me of that famous Seinfeld scene: "You know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to hold the reservation."

Ironically, a cleaner finally appeared on our last day - far too late to salvage this experience. I've now learned my lesson twice and will be looking at Airbnb or VRBO options in the future. This hotel simply isn't worth the money or frustration.

This hotel has a "security" camera directly over the pin pad for processing credit cards. With an other camera placed on the side.

I was careful to protect my pin. But it was no match for 2 perfectly placed cameras. The following day after our stay, we got a notification from visa with a fraudulent charge that didn't belong to us. We didn't use the pin anywhere else as we normally tap. Coincidence? I would advise if you choose this hotel to keep an eye on your credit card statement more than usual.

***The hotel should place their pin pad elsewhere and not directly under camera.

Fun experience all around. Went to see a concert at Hard Rock Live - sound was good and seating was comfortable. Casino was a fun time - preferred the set-up and energy of this casino more than Lac Leamy. More seating in the dining area would be nice for a better “quick” dining experience if you’re planning to eat there before a show.

We've been twice now, once the first week it opened and second just this past Sunday to celebrate my birthday. I had a few long island ice teas from the main bar. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe, the power had gone out that day and the gas took a while to come back on. The manager was so nice in explaining everything, when we finally got a table our server Kate was wonderful! Our table had the cowboy steak and ribs all around and they were great! Our group then went on to play the slots and tables and had a great time! Such an upgrade! Can't wait to come back!

My husband and I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very spacious. The only suggestion I have is to provide more bottled water in the room.

The service at the restaurants and the quality of the food were absolutely top-notch — A1! I sincerely hope this high standard is maintained.

It's a bit out of the way, but worth the drive. The nicest casino I've been to in all of Canada (and I've been to plenty). So many slots with tons of variety! Didn't try the dining options this time around, but it also looks promising.

My fiancé and I came in looking for shoes 2 weeks before our wedding. Steve was amazing and so patient with us as my fiancé tried on shoe after shoe. Steve was great at recommending shoes within our price range and at the end he ordered shoes just in time for the big day. You’ll have a very different experience here depending on who helps you. I would recommend that if you shop here, you get the business card of the style advisor you prefer so you can have a more consistent experience. At this level of retail, service should not vary this much. Personally, I’ll save most of my shopping for Montreal at Holt Renfrew, where the customer experience is far more consistent.

Wasn’t impressed. I was watched the whole time without anyone even approaching me. And after kindly asking an associate for help, they were way too pushy and just wanted to sell me on the clothing without asking my opinion. Really disappointing from a brand I’ve long loved.

I just spent 20 minutes walking around the Harry Rosen store. Not one associate asked if I needed any help or assistance. This was my 3rd visit and it has gotten worse each visit. I would advise shopping on line or at a different location. Online would have been more assistance….Worst shopping experience I’ve had shopping anywhere in the world.

Hazeldean Florist was able to accommodate a last minute order for my son for his prom ( corsage/boutonniere) . We were extremely impressed with the level of service and the quality of the work. They truly went above and beyond to help my son and we really appreciate it. Thanks again!

I came in a day after a loved one passed and the florist (I should've asked her name, so sorry!) stopped what she was doing for a next day appointment just to make a bereavement arrangement for my Granda: my Nana passed last night.

Ordered flowers on Bloomex for my father-in-law's funeral yesterday. Was supposed to have tracking the day before, which never happened so I had to keep calling the funeral home who were able to finally tell me that the bouquet was delivered by Hazeldean Florist.

The left is what I ordered, the right is what arrived. To say I was devastated and offended is an understatement. I realize I didn't actually go through Hazeldean for the order, but they *are* the florist who made this abomination. If they couldn't accommodate it, they should have just declined, not spray painted flowers for crying out loud.

So the night before my father-in-law's funeral, I had to rush to Loblaws to have them make me a last minute bouquet. Please go to my Loblaws review to see the wonderful bouquet they made for LESS money. I will never trust Bloomex or Hazeldean with another order.

Have gotten flowers from here multiple times over the years, always fresh and excellent quality and good prices. They can make a bouquet very quickly while you wait most of the time. Very convenient and quick service.

I recently came here to get a dress for my friend’s engagement, and I found a beautiful black and white dress that was exactly what I wanted. I got so many compliments on it and people asking me where it was from. The worker helping me was so nice and patient in helping me find the right dress that I wanted. She also found me a perfect hijab to match it. Amazing customer service and such good quality. Would definitely recommend.

Prices are reasonable compared to other stores and they have so many great modest dresses. Definitely worth it to come by here!

They have a very unique, beautiful and modern designer clothes, party & prom as well as wedding dresses but expensive. Staff are nice and the shop is well organized. Personally I don’t find it very affordable or reasonably priced for rentals: it’s half of the actual price which is still a lot. If the person could afford buying it then why would come to get it half priced?

Received great customer service from Mariam who explained the store layout and made really nice outfit recommendations.

They have a variety of wedding dresses and special event gowns, every day wear, and elegant wear. Beautiful pieces through every category.

I’ve been going to Greek fest since I was 3 years old. It’s changed so much over the years. I support my community and have told myself I’m going to get more involved next year. There were curtain things that were amazing about the old Greek fest. We need to bring back the rides for the children. The draw for a free trip to Greece was always a hit too. This year was hard because it was the first year back since COVID. But next year we go all out!!! We invited the theater so let’s give them a show!!!!

The annual Greek Festival is worth catching if you can. It usually runs for 10 days. The food is great and the entertainment is enjoyable.

Rented hall provided adequate screens for presentation and good audio. Facilities in good shape. Staff not intrusive but available.

Be careful with the food - check what others are eating and decide, some foods platters are not good at all.

I recently came across this amazing shop after having a terrible experience with another coming when ordering custom cookies for my grandfathers celebration of life. It was literally down to the wire but I had to pivot, fire the previous company, and regroup which was so stressful BUT I definitely had my grandpa looking down on me because I randomly found a hello dolly’s. They not only took the project on, we’re super friendly and confident that they could get it done, they also completely exceeded our expectations on the cookies themselves! I cannot thank them enough for the amazing work they did. Most of my family couldn’t eat them, they were so beautiful and so sentimental. Hands down the best experience ever!! Thank you all so much!!

While I've been a casual customer of Hello Dolly's over the last few years (picking up cookies, stationary, and accessories at ComicCons, and in store) I feel that posting a review has been long overdue!

The owner and staff are always so friendly and kind, and the cookies are delicious! And their cookie advent calendars are so much fun - highly recommend ordering one! I adore ScienceCobs designs and stationery and I have several pieces of hair accessories from Angelita & Co.

Most recently I placed a custom cookie order for the first time for an event (Bridal Shower - Sailor Moon themed) and the outcome blew me away! They turned out so incredible, I love/loved them so so so much. I can't thank you enough. I could feel the love and effort that was put into designing and making them. In addition, I needed a few of the cookies to be vegan/gluten free and they were able to accommodate for that as well.

They were a hit at the event too :)

This place is amazing! I have been waiting 2 years to come here, and it was worth the wait.

The cookies are ABSOLUTELY adorable and delicious! Not only that, but their entire kitchen is NUT-FREE. Which, for someone like me who has a life threatening nut allergy, is a god send.

They also sell a lot of cute merch (tote bags, keychains, badge pins etc) and I LOVE that they’re queer friendly, and pay their employees a liveable wage.

The owners and staff are so kind, friendly, and welcoming. They are wonderful people, and definitely deserve ALL your business! Go go go go go!!!! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Ottawa. :)

Constantin worked with my fiancé using family diamonds that he brought in to design the perfect engagement ring. The balance of the stones and the quality of the craftsmanship are exceptional. I can't recommend Constantin highly enough! He was amazing to work with, and got our 3 bands done last minute and in time for the big day. He took an engagement ring that had been made poorly elsewhere, built it up and finished it beautifully at no charge. Then carved a beautiful, asymmetrical band to fit perfectly around it. The attention to detail in all aspects were amazing and the 2 rings are a perfect pair. Then he discussed about 6 ways to enlarge a heirloom men's band for me, and we decided on hammering it for a special look and minimal risk. The results are amazing and cost next to nothing!
He is a true master craftsman who takes a lot of pride in his work and charges very reasonable rates. We could not be happier, and we'll be sending him as much business as we can.
