Beyond amazing! Julie has been my dogs groomer for multiple years now. She is so patient and kind, and gentle even with the most nervous of dogs. We just moved to Orléans and we were looking for a new groomer for our rescue husky, Alaska. We had no idea how complicated it would be. We had to spend so much time filling out very complicated questionnaires, sending emails, making calls to many different groomers only be turned down because of either Alaska’s temperament, breed or just the fact that they weren’t taking new clients.

With that said, booking here is incredibly easy as opposed to other groomers. You just fill out the from on the website and you’re set. No emails explaining why you’re a good fit, no required phone calls, no complicated temperament forms. You just book and you’re set. As a very busy person, I LOVED THAT!

Alaska can be very nervous around baths because she’s a rescue with very poor socialization as a puppy. They went above and beyond to accommodate her. I feel like this groomer was perfect for her. They will push enough for your dog to see that it’s not the end of the world to take a bath. But they will also make sure your dog has a good experience and not push too far.

The groomer was very knowledgeable and even made sure to read her history to give her the proper handling based on her socialization level. I feel like they gave her a very personalized experience to help with her training and overall comfort.

They completely de-shedded Alaska and she came out 3 sizes smaller in only an hour and a half. Which as a husky parent I really appreciate.

I feel like with a few more visits (dare I say) Alaska will be finally comfortable going to the groomer! Which is something we did not think possible and for us it’s priceless. They can literally take all my money. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

My mom and I met Joel & Jess at the Ottawa Wedding Show in October 2021 while preparing for my September 2023 wedding and immediately fell in love with their photos on display - it was exactly the aesthetic I wanted and they absolutely delivered! Joel & Jess were an absolute pleasure to work with the past two years, coordinating our engagement shoot in 2022 and then of course our wedding in 2023. They were so responsive over email and Jess helped tremendously with the day of timeline.

We are so thankful that we had Joel and Jess capture all the special moments from our wedding day. They are an excellent team who are professional, accommodating and very kind. Our photo gallery was ready in only a few short weeks after the wedding and the photos were terrific! We went to Joeys with a reservation for a special occasion. The place was packed on a Saturday night. Initially we were disappointed to be sitting at a high table but the chairs were atypically comfortable and our server Lauren W was wonderful. Our food was yummy and hot (cod and steak dishes) and very nicely presented. The eggroll/mashed potatoes were especially interesting. Lauren was attentive throughout but without being intrusive. She noticed the notation in our reservation and brought us a complimentary dessert which was a nice way to end our meal. It’s not our first time at Joeys and I know it won’t be our last.

Came to JOEY Lansdowne the other night to celebrate my birthday off a recommendation from my friend and had an astounding time. The host was very quick to seat us and even offered sparkling wine. While we waited for our server we got offered free samples of the blackened chicken and it was so good I had to order it for my main course. The apps were quick, hot and delicious big compliments to the chefs. Our server Kat was one of the most knowledgeable, warm and professional servers I've ever had and highly recommend asking for her if you ever come. Mains were delicious, I had the blackened chicken like I said and my friend had the sushi which she really enjoyed. Kat arranged for a birthday dessert to get sent to the table and it was a really sweet gesture. One of the chefs, Camron I think it was? brought the board out and it was clear the whole team at JOEY cares about the guests. Truly incredible experience and a birthday I'll remember for a lifetime

I came here to eat with my friend. My friend told me this place was really good, but I can only say I'm very disappointed.

I'm extremely unhappy and angry. I should have given three stars, but I'm satisfied with how they handled my complaint, so I'm giving four stars.

My friend had their hand raised for five minutes hoping someone would come over, but no one did. Looks like nobody care us.

The steak seemed like it had been frozen for ages and just taken out. Even my friend noticed – when cutting it, the meat was falling apart completely, lacking the integrity a fresh steak should have. This isn't how even an *aged* steak should be. (As someone who holds a diploma in Culinary Arts, I truly cannot accept a steak like this.)

The sides were mushy and tasted overwhelmingly of burnt, bitter flavor. The mushrooms were way too salty. Oh my god, it *looked* delicious, but it tasted awful. I'm a serious foodie, and I stand by my review and feelings.

A solid dining experience for sure. I would start by saying that this is a noisier place to eat at, but if that isn't a deterrent, you won't be disappointed by their offerings.

Went mid-week for dinner and was actually pleased to see how bustling it was. The outdoor setup was a good size and many were taking advantage of the warmer evening temperatures. Plenty of room inside as well, with moody lighting.

Appreciated that they offered low alcohol beverage options, of which I indulged. Then came my delicious sushi and steak combo, cooked just as I had asked. Finished it off with the half portion creme brulee cheesecake that was delicious, and definitely the perfect serving size. Would certain return again.

We chose that restaurant to celebrate a birthday and had a great time.

We had such a great time at Joey’s in Rideau! The crispy tofu bowl and Szechuan lettuce wraps were packed with flavor, the fries were perfectly seasoned, and the Negroni was spot on. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, and the service was attentive throughout. A fantastic spot for both food and drinks, highly recommend!

If you’re going on the weekend, I’d recommend making a reservation, we waited about 15 minutes as we just walked in.

I had an amazing birthday lunch at Joey Restaurant! The staff were welcoming, polite, and attentive, always making sure our big group had everything we needed. They were so patient and made the experience seamless. To top it off, they surprised me with a thoughtful birthday gesture that made the day extra special.

Highly recommend for date nights, celebrations with friends, or family gatherings!

From the moment we walked into Joey Rideau, we felt welcomed and appreciated. Our experience started off on a high note with a complimentary glass of non-alcoholic sparkling wine. What a thoughtful touch!

Our dining experience was more on the expensive side this time around. However, you can most definitely get away with spending little due to their amazing happy hour options. We ordered the steak with lobster, lobster spaghetti, truffle parmesan fries, and their signature sangria. The steak was cooked spot on: medium rare and just a touch on the rare side, exactly how I wanted it and mentioned from the get-go. Everything arrived promptly, which made the whole experience feel smooth and well-paced. We placed 4 happy hour sangrias, which were perfectly balanced and refreshing.

What really stood out was the service. Our server, Ace, was wonderful, attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaging. She even surprised us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate, which made the evening feel extra special.

The restaurant itself is immaculate: spotlessly clean with a smart, stylish setup that immediately catches your eye. The ambiance was electric, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable night out. Overall, Joey Rideau exceeded expectations in every way. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Superb restaurant and bar that is perfect for any occasion. The atmosphere is very dimly lit and intimate, it almost feels like a night club without the super loud music. The food is delicious and well made. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The interior is beautiful, nice aesthetic with an open area for the bar and view of the kitchen. Huge as well with lots of seating.

Joseph is an amazing tailor! He did an incredible job tailoring dresses for my mom and me—his attention to detail and skill made sure they fit us perfectly. He listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond. Highly recommend!

I worked with Jules to design my stepmom's dream wedding cake, and Jules delivered!! This was for a wedding 18 years in the making. My stepmom's dream was to have a vintage-style, 3-tier wedding cake and Jules Cakes was the most recommended in Ottawa. The cake turned out so beautiful, it was beyond our expectations. As a Mother’s Day gift my family treated me to the 2 hour Japanese Head Massage. It was incredible. June and Flora’s second location on 5th Avenue is the most adorable boutique salon. I was welcome warmly by Sabina and she took care of me the whole time. What impressed me was that she took her time explaining everything, talking to me about my scalp and hair and answering all my questions. I was pampered. I LOVE the fact there is no one else in the salon allowing complete silence and privacy. No hairdryer or talking going on in the background. This to me, is worth the little higher cost. The products were fantastic and again Sabina was nothing short of professional. Thanks for making this experience amazing and I will be back!

I had a great time with Sabina at June & Flora. She advised me on how much hair would be good to cut off and did a great job shaping my (very thick) head of hair! I've struggled to love my curls for years, but after seeing Anya for a curly cut, I can't stop looking at my hair—I haven't felt this good about it since I was a kid! As someone with curly hair, I was really nervous going in since I’ve had so many cuts that didn’t work with my curl pattern. But Anya was incredibly patient, really listened to what I wanted, and also helped set realistic expectations for the volume I was hoping for (spoiler: she nailed it!). She also shared some amazing tips on how to care for my curls. On top of all that, she's super kind. If you’ve ever thought about getting a curly cut, I can’t recommend her enough.

The best cupcakes I’ve ever had! Being lactose intolerant, finding treats that taste this good is usually impossible, but she’s mastered it and they look amazing. I’ve order from Kasia for every birthday events, these cupcakes are moist, flavourful, and absolutely perfect. On top of that, her service is by far the friendliest around. A true gem! I highly recommend her baking!

THE BEST CUPCAKES EVER! I have sampled many of KASIA’S products and they are ALL amazing. Being lactose intolerant, it is sometimes difficult to find good baking. They are moist, flavourful and delicious! My favourite is the chocolate walnut cookies! Many options of vegan and gluten free too! Highly recommend you order online to sample for yourself. Staff is friendly and always go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. I intend to order for my next get together!

Kasia makes the best cupcakes in Ottawa! I’ve been very impressed with every order I’ve placed with her, from a single box to a bulk order. Her quality is consistent, and the packaging is beautiful. The cupcakes are moist, full of flavour, and the icing is just the right amount of sweet. I highly recommend her!

We hired Kathi as our photographer for our wedding this past August. She was easy to communicate with from Day 1 and very responsive. She had lots of great feedback and insight about how to schedule our day so that nothing would feel rushed, which was very helpful.

Safe to say, I will definitely be back! My family and I have a culture of having photoshoots every year. It’s usually during Christmas, but we had a special occasion so we needed a family picture and I’m beyond amazed at the quality of Kayla’s service. I’m not just talking about the pictures - best quality I’ve ever had by the way - or how personable she was. From the moment we stepped into the studio her level of professionalism was obvious in the highly detailed decor and relevant props.

I must admit, her hospitality was mind blowing. She offered snacks, water and most importantly a friendly smile, making sure we were more than comfortable the entire duration of the shoot. It felt like she really took her time and enjoyed the process. Sometimes these things can be tense or frustrating for families, but Kayla made sure to the best of her abilities that everything we needed was catered for, sometimes even going out of her way to help out.

Overall, I’m so thoroughly impressed by the seamless process and the impeccable results and I’m beyond grateful to Kayla for everything.

Kayla took the most STUNNING business headshots & marketing material for my husband after we were sadly duped by another local photographer. She made the process seamless, was SO friendly and professional (& fun!) to deal with, had incredibly fair pricing and a quick turnaround time, and I cannot wait to go back to her studio for all of our future photos. We had the most amazing experience from start to finish with kayla! She was kind and made us feel included, most of all she was so great with our little one (6 weeks old) the photos turned out so much better than we could have ever hoped for! Full vegan bakery. The pain au chocolates was tasty but oily. My companion liked the Nanaimo bar but it was too sweet for me. Will return to try more! They also have vegan icecream and take home food.

Matcha latte was warm, forgot to ask for cold. They have a nice seating area and bathroom.

This bakery is amazing! You'd never guess everything is vegan! My favourite pastry is a tie between the raspberry danish and pain au chocolat. Excellent place to grab a quiet coffee with friends, or read a book.

We had a vegan turkey with Dijon mustard, a pesto pinwheel (kind of a flat croissant with pesto filling), vegan almond croissant, and latte. Everything was delicious. So happy I don't have to drive to Montreal anymore for quality vegan pastries.

Absolutely love supporting this small vegan bakery!! We have a severe milk and egg allergy in the family so having a neighborhood bakery that makes amazing treats is priceless. We order our birthday cakes from here and they are always a huge hit. So delicious, you would never be able to tell they're vegan. Please support this local business!

Tried the croissant, pain au chocolat, and the danish. They were all delicious, light, great quality. Would definitely recommend checking out this vegan bakery, it was perfect for breakfast while visiting. The lattes were also decent, but the baked goods are the star of this place.

The Drifter is an excellent suite. The room is spacious but feels cozy, the decor is so tastefully done and in keeping with the age of the building with wooden beams, thick exposed stone walls and large wooden window sills. The kitchen is lovely and has brand new appliances and everything you need to cook, there is a grocery store very close by and easy to walk to. The bed was very comfortable and our grandson slept on the pull out and was also very comfortable. There were lots of extra pillows and blankets. The free standing tub, washer, dryer, robes, lots of drawer space and free parking at the back were all pluses. We wished we could have stayed longer, and would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are spacious and with the beams and brick exposed you get a feel of the ordinal house built in the 1800s. Large and roomy with a modern bathroom and high-end upgrades. Beautiful windows. We will be back. If you have any mobility issues there are stairs to some suites so ensure to request a main floor suite.

We stayed here for 1 night. The room was very nice, good size and super clean we really enjoyed it! Bed was great too.

Location sucks as this town is all but empty. If this room was in a major city it would be 2-3x the price. Really nice!

We wanted a quiet, clean and unique place to stay for a few nights in the area. This was a great option. It was close to many trails. The bed was comfortable as was the spacious seating area. Great shower! Interesting architecture.

The room was nice, but its on a big road and we had a hard time getting into the flat. The keypad at the door was unreadable (see photo). Prior to checking in, they provided this email with check-in instructions (see below) asking us to be patient etc. with frequent ALL CAPS as if we would all BE STUPID, to make sure that no-one tried to check-in too early. And then have an unreadable lock and a terrible check-in experience!? Doesn't work for me. When we were in front of the door, we tried to contact people via email (since we didn't want to make a call from a non-Canadian phone). No reply, no apologies.

It was a breeze working with Shannon on my micro-wedding. She was able to help us organize a traditional style wedding with a lot of cultural elements with 5 weeks of notice! The constant reminders and status updates made us feel looped in the process.

Both my wife and I, are not residents of Ottawa but the wedding took place there. We had a lot of doubts of how to plan a wedding in a different city but Shannon made sure to set up everything perfectly with all the venders without us having to be worried about anything. From decor to venue and everything in between, she had amazing recommendations for each item on our list and took care of booking, logistics and timeline. Communication was excellent on her end. The whole day went off without a hitch and we were able to just take in one of the most important days of our lives and celebrate with our friends and family.

To put it simply, Shannon is the best. My wedding day was PERFECT thanks to her and I was able to soak up every minute of it because I trusted Shannon fully with my vision. There was an issue with the shuttles we had ordered but I had zero idea because Shannon made sure to keep it away from me and handled it all. I felt so much relief having her by my side. The entire year she was such a massive help, making sure vendor contracts looked good and also aided in finding vendors when it seemed like all were booked up. The selection is immense and the prices are the best in Ottawa. They'll have my patronage, as long as I live.

My Fiance purchased an antique engagement ring online that was way too big! We loved the ring but ran into a couple issues from other jewelers with sizing it. We had a terrible experience in Westboro and so we decided to check out Kim Thanh. Our ring was sized from a 9 to 3.5 in less than a week. We were told it would be difficult based on the cut and placement of the diamonds so we were expecting a hefty price (was quoted $200-300 before). It wasn't even close to that. We stayed on budget and all of the stones look better than before. All of the clasps that had been out of place from being sized to a 9 were restored to their original beauty. Generally when you bend a ring back that small all of the clasps open and you risk losing stones if not reset properly. It has been three months so far and I am very happy with how they dealt with my ring. Thanks!

Had a vintage ring set from the 1920s resized and they did a fantastic job resizing and cleaning the pieces. They were able to go in between sizes to make sure it fit correctly. Great customer service and prices!

Kimberley was one of the best decisions we made in our vendor team. At first, I wasn’t too sure how it would all work. But very quickly, Kimberley showcased her incredible talents with music, but also helping us think through key elements of the day – should our walk down the aisle songs have vocals or not, how long should they be, what about the first dance? All with responsive communication, Kimberley was a dream to work with.

During the day, she was a true highlight of all of our guests. One guest asked “Can we get a copy of this soundtrack”? Another older guest asked “Can we order her CD?”. She blended so seamlessly into the flow of our day, and I cannot imagine what the day would be like without her.

If you’re thinking about adding vocals / music, and strings are not for you, Kimberley is your gal. I wouldn’t even hesitate. Get her on your vendor team. As a surprise, she also takes fantastic ceremony pictures from her unique angle! 😊

We recently had Kimberley play and sing at our Mom’s funeral. She did a beautiful job! During this emotional time with multiple decisions to be made, Kimberley made our selecting of music much easier given her wide range of suggested funeral songs well organized on her website and the ability for us to request songs if desired.

Everything was seamless from communication, set up and execution. Her piano instrumentals and her beautiful voice were a highlight during the service at a difficult time for us and brought us much comfort. Mom would have loved it.
