Kimberly is incredibly kind and, most importantly, truly focused on what the bride wants. She never pushes a specific style or pressures you to make a quick decision, which made the experience feel so relaxed and thoughtful. At the same time, she gently offers advice on things you might overlook, which I really appreciated.

I honestly didn’t expect to find the dress at the very first boutique I visited, but I was so lucky to discover the perfect one at her boutique, I didn’t even have to think twice about it. The price was also very fair, especially compared to what I had seen online and at other boutiques. Nothing was overpriced or inflated.

Her boutique has a beautiful, elegant collection that I highly recommend checking out. Another thing I loved is that she only takes one appointment at a time, so you get the entire space to yourself. It felt very private, calm, and comfortable, the perfect environment to try on dresses and truly enjoy the moment.

With only three months left before the wedding, I was feeling anxious about finding the right dress in time, but Kimberly made the whole experience so smooth and stress-free. I'm truly thankful for her support :)

Kim was the sweetest! My dress shopping was so stress-free and low pressure. She listened to my wants and picked some dresses that she thought would match, as well as some styles that I never even thought about!

I ended up choosing a dress that I loved and I felt incredible on my special day.

I had the most incredible experience! Kim is so friendly and personable - I went in on my own as my family lives in western Canada, and she helped me FaceTime my mom and loved ones to show the details up close and include them in the special moment of saying yes to the dress. The store has a great selection and is welcoming and affordable. Highly recommend!

One of my favourite local shops! I always stop in when I pass by. The people working are always so friendly and helpful. Beautiful jewellery that both my partner and I love, we each have pieces we wear often. Plus lots of cat themed things that make perfect gifts for any cat lover friends! You can tell the shop is thoughtfully curated :)

I ordered a piece of jewellery for pickup on Nov 19th 2024 as the Canada Post strike had just started. After waiting a month, I have never received a notice to pick it up. I contacted them via email and they said it was shipped via Canada post from their location in Toronto via regular mail and due to the strike, it will be delayed. I waited another few weeks and heard nothing. They assured me to wait some more. I waited until Jan 28th (over 2 months later) and still have not received it. I requested a refund. They said they were going to find out what happened to the item that was sent from Toronto first. I have tried repeatedly over the next several days/weeks to get a refund, but now my emails are unanswered. They do not have a contact phone number.

I was being patient because of the Canada Post strike, but at this point it's straight up theft of my money. I will have to pursue this.

I wanted to support local businesses, but it was a mistake with this store. Do not shop here. Use my experience as a warning.

I have been a happy repeat customer of this shop for several years now and have always found what I am looking for either for myself or to gift…unique and handmade earrings, necklaces, rings, clothing, bags, pins. cards-you name it!Owner Tamara and her amazing staff provide excellent service and are always kind, helpful and hilarious. Supporting local is important to me and even more so when a place is welcoming, inclusive, kind and supportive of all in the community. If you are looking for this kind of selection, experience and values get yourself to Kindred and you will not be disappointed.

The jewelery and clothes here are unique, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I think she showed me half of the jewelry in the store before I chose what I wanted. The jewelry is slightly more affordable than the places nearby as well, so that is a bonus. I also was very tempted by the bamboo undergarments they sell, I will probably go back to buy some.

Had a wonderful stay with Richard and Sandy (the dog) hosting us. This beautiful Victorian property is perfectly appointed with attention to detail. The burgundy room, where we stayed, was spacious and comfortable. In warmer months, I'm sure the deck off of it would be wonderful. The breakfast had everything you might want. The warm buttery croissants were my favourite, but the fruit salad and fruit muffins were a close second. Richard was great to converse with and has a great knowledge of the area. The dog Sandy, is a gentle, loving friend - non-shedding being a bonus. Would definitely book another stay here.

We stayed for 2 nights in February of 2025. The home is beautiful and historic and in a great location. Richard is extremely knowledgeable about Ottawa and the surrounding area. He provided many tips for what to see and do during our visit, which absolutely improved our experience.
Breakfast was both delicious and generous with freshly baked pastries, yogurt, fruit, granola and much more
The location was fantastic for walking to many museums, parliament hill and to the Roseau canal. We also easily drove to Gatineau park.
I highly recommend the Auberge king Edward and hope to return in the summer to see the area in a different season.

There's just so many amazing things about this property. It's a heritage house, with tons of cachet (my bathroom was the maid's bathroom, huge double living room), very well decorated and taken care of. Where the exceptional part comes in is the absolutely stunning garden, the private balcony, the crisp hotel linens, spotlessly clean, the floofiest puppy ever, the great breakfast, the friendly welcome, all the travel books, perfect room temperatures... There's also TV with cable in the room but I got distracted by the travel books. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back if ever I have business in Ottawa!

Also: check out the Little Theatre just a couple of blocks north of the B & B.

I had a wonderful retreat at Kirkman House Bed and Breakfast in February 2024. Ellen is a great hostess. She very kindly hung the sheets outside in advance of my arrival because of a scent allergy. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with a lovely view. The breakfasts were fantastic. Proximity to the old growth forest at Gilles Grove was a plus for me.

Kirkman House is a lovely home situated on a treed, quiet street with rare old "bones" that take you back in time. Ellen's hospitality and breakfasts were superb and we felt at home immediately. Our room was spacious, spotless and wonderfully appointed with high ceilings and a nice view. I recommend Kirkman House to anyone seeking a first class B&B experience in a setting you won't soon forget.

Grand mansion with high ceilings, dramatic stairways, ornate furnishings from bygone era. Old world charm and modern comforts are perfectly combined to create a truly comfortable, relaxing experience. Ellen is a great host who ensures you have what you need. To top it all off, she makes a truly wonderful, delicious breakfast, one of the best ones I've had at a BnB!

I just had 1 night here. The hostess is immensely nice and makes great breakfast! She is renovating right now to make her beautiful Victorian house even more amazing!

Klava - THANK YOU for being a part of my wedding day. Everyone had nothing but kind things to say about you and the makeup lasted all day, through happy tears and intense dancing. We all felt extra beautiful!

Beyond the makeup, Klava, you are a joy to work with. You put everyone at ease and made them feel important while you were doing their makeup. That's a skill you can't teach beyond makeup and I appreciate that!

I would recommend Klava to anyone for makeup lessons or her makeup artistry for a special occasion. She is knowledgeable about makeup and very knowledgeable about skincare. Along with her makeup services, I received guidance documents at intervals leading up to my wedding, which kept me feeling excited as I prepared.

My experience with Klava was excellent! They did the hair and makeup for myself(bride) and 2 of my bridesmaids. They were very accommodating on scheduling the trial as I was coming from overseas. I also don't usually wear much makeup and have had some bad experiences in the past with my makeup being "professionally" done. I was very impressed with their work and their kindness. I would highly recommend them!!

I booked a makeup lesson with Klava because I'm getting married in the countryside and want the day to be as low maintenance as possible, including doing my own makeup. She helped teach me how to layer makeup for a long lasting look and help transition from the day to the night time. She also used a combination of her amazing products which I have now purchased and my existing ones to help me build a wedding look that will make me so happy on the day of. She was engaging and made sure she was giving me information that would be retained for the next few months. I would highly recommend! Thank you!

Klava did my makeup and makeup for my bridesmaids at our wedding in June 2025. I was so happy with the final look. I really have never felt more beautiful. I have had professional makeup before and this was by far the best makeup experience. It took some time for me to decide what look to have in our practise session and she was super patient and gave me the time to decided. I was also super nervous about my making being too heavy and she really listened to what i wanted and made a look i really loved. I think she is also very skilled in understanding what will look good on someones colouring. My make up held up really well.

Great place to stay on the outskirts of the lovely City of Ottawa. You can walk into the main City in 1.25hrs via some pleasant walks but driving is easy. The hosts are great and whilst you generally only see them at breakfast, great by the way, the whole atmosphere of the place is relaxed, slightly bohemian but not ott. Also has some great relaxation places within the building and gardens. WiFi etc is top and the host plays some cool relaxing music throughout, if you want it.

Wonderful for peaceful restoration. Music is quiet blues etc. Breakfast wonderful. Service wonderful and lovely maintained grounds and atmosphere. If you have any handcaps use ground floor rooms. Hosts are fantastic.

We had a wonderful time, the location is great with restaurants to walk to and strolls along the river right at hand. The host was fantastic and spent time explaining all there was to do near by, and history of Ottawa. Breakfast was perfect.

We just spent 3 days/ nights at the Kokomo Inn. The location is fantastic, it's like being in cottage country but you're right across from downtown Ottawa. Walk along the riverfront path in the evening and you're all set.

Parissa and John are excellent hosts and John knows the area exceptionally well. He's like a wikipedia of places to go and things to do in and around.

Breakfast was excellent, and the hosts are very welcoming. The layout of the home is great for guests.

Highly recommended!!

I recently attended a graduation at Richard Pfaff Alternative school. They invited all the guests to share some food catered by Krackers Katering.
Everything was amazing.
There were a large variety of wrap and quarter tea sandwiches. All tasty.
The fresh fruit was ripe but firm, and the vegetable tray was fresh and crunchy
The desserts, I tried to sample them all! Delicious!

This is well overdue but We gladly had Krackers cater my husband's 50th and we were overall very impressed with their presentation, quality and interaction with our guests. Teresa was the staff assigned to our venue and she was beyond excellent. We have used this company in the past for smaller services but would not hesitate to have them for our next large event. Thank you for making this "easy planning and easy entertaining". Guests' comments were all positive and so were the hosts!!!

Great, consistent and reliable! I have called up Krackers many times with very late notice, sometimes the night before and have always been offered affordable and convenient service.

The food quality was excellent and the servers were friendly. They catered a very important event for us at The Bronson Centre. They helped in the success of that evening.

She went above and beyond with my expectation. My 30th birthday cake is awesome! The cake itself is so good, not too sweet but very tasty. Very accommodating and easy to reach. Affordable prices and I have no regret asking her to make my cake. I highly recommend her! She is awesome!

I ordered a chocolate cream cheese cake for my husband's 50th birthday, and it was absolutely wonderful! The cake was not only delicious but also beautifully made, and it stayed looking perfect for 3 days. The prices are very reasonable, and the delivery service, though at a cost, made everything so convenient and stress-free. Communication was great throughout the whole process. I highly recommend this service and will definitely be ordering again!

Ksenia made the cake for my daughter's baptism and then again for her first birthday. They were both so beautiful and also delicious (we tried both the honey as well as the strawberry flavors). We will order from Ksenia anytime we need a cake for an event :)

I was looking through Google to find a good salon to get my hair done and I saw Kulör and the reviews made me book an appointment. So I went with my cousin and we were treated great since we got there. Did our consultation and made his magic and our hair was amazing we left super happy and most definitely coming back again.

Not familiar with downtown Ottawa, I googled hair salons hoping for a last minute hair appointment. I saw he was rated 5 stars so I called and I got in that afternoon. Wissam was friendly and did the most amazing job on my highlights. Highly recommend!

I've been a regular with Wissam for a year now and have never left disappointed. I've had balayage colour, cut, toner, oil treatment, blowout, and style done. Wissam is extremely knowledgeable and has been excellent at suggesting adjustments based on what my hair needs or what would suit me best. I have average thickness hair but lots of it. He knows how to work it to make me feel luxurious!

I would absolutely recommend anyone to come for a service. I'll ge booking Kulor Hair Creations for my wedding day this year. My bridesmaids and mother/MIL all have different hair textures (extremely thin & short, extra thick and long, course and curly) and yet Wissam makes the styles effortless.

My first experience with Wissam was so amazing and it continues to be great! He’s honest, fair, knowledgeable and my hair hasn’t been this healthy in a very long time! I look forward to my next appointment and upkeep Wissam! It feels great to have confidence in your stylist!

Wissam has been my stylist for the past 2 years, and I can't express how much of a blessing it's been to have found him! Every color and cut is exact and pure perfection. A true professional, extremely creative and such a pleasure to spend time with! 1000/10 recommended!

This rating is for the girl behind the counter today. I didn't get her name but she had short black hair. I was there with my partner and toddler in her stroller. She wanted to see a stone so I handed her one and she placed it in her mouth. Before we even had a chance to parent our child (which we absolutely would have immediately taken it from her) the girl yelled at her to "get it out of her mouth" and we did to which she again scolded us to not put it back and then asked rudely "are you going to buy it now?" Which we said no and handed it to her. She could have taken a WAY different approach with us as we were planning on purchasing items and we visit there all the time. She could have easily spoken much kinder to us and there wouldn't have been an issue. Again, she was extremely rude and yelled at us and our toddler and we just ended up leaving. I hope she gets spoken with of how to speak to customers. What happened was unintentional on our part and would have dealt with it but her reaction was extremely uncalled for.

Display upon display of pretty rocks, gems, jewelry, and interesting things. We really enjoyed our visit, and picked up some perfect gifts. This store is a place we'll definitely be back to!

Large selection of stones and high quality silver. the store is loaded with neat finds. they also offer real crystal beads and real silver ones as well. all of their jewelry is sterling silver 925. the staff is mostly friendly and helpful.

the only thing I would note is that the store is small and quite tight fit and might not be suitable for those in a wheel chair.

I showed up looking like a beach bum because it was so hot outside. The staff was great at finding this simpleton a wedding suit, especially since I think it's a largely French-speaking staff and they were more than capable of speaking with me in English.

I've been shopping at Hexagone for five or so years and not only are the clothes of great quality but they are surpassed by the amazing knowledge and service I get. Wouldn't waste my time shopping anywhere else. I come in, get personalized service and leave with clothes that fit and look good. Had an issue with a shirt that came back from the tailor too small and it was immediately fixed to my entire satisfaction

It was more than awful 😢. We ordered two pieces of cake and couldn’t finish them, with every bite the feeling was worse. The desserts were baked at least several days ago, stale, tasteless, margarine and sugar. It felt like you are chewing nothing but something very sugary. I asked before ordering if they use butter and cream. The answer was YES.
Unfortunately, it was a mistake to visit this place, rip off. Why is the rating 4+???

DONT EAT HERE , rude staff, disgusting pastries, I ordered a dozen of sweets from them, they had hair inside the sweets and it was definitely old and sitting for over a week. When we asked if it was fresh we were assured it was baked today. Stay away I wouldn’t recommend.

One of the bests confectionaries in the town! The sweets and desserts has great qualities, and store has friendly staff! I usually come to this store at weekend to buy for my guests and normally order Kunafa sandwiches to go and baklava. I also recommend rolls and cheesecakes! First time, I wasn’t sure what to order but employees were kind enough to offer me sample tastes and that made my decision a lot easier. Now, this is a place that I often visit when I am in downtown area and not regret each time I order!

Stopped in with my husband and son for a few baklava, eclair and macaroons. The new shop (on Hunt club) was nicely put together. The lady behind the counter was really personable and super helpful. The desserts were really delicious and perfectly priced and they looked so amazing, beautifully created. Only negative would be that I think they could use more sitting area and perhaps some coffee choices. Highly recommend. We'll be back again soon. :)

I have had group insurance with La Capitale Assurances (now Beneva) for several years. Last November, I signed up for a dental plan with them for the following year. Following a dental appointment, I submitted a claim on their website and my claim was denied on the grounds that I am not insured for dental care even though I pay my premiums out of my salary. This is frustrating because I have other dental expenses coming up and there is no guarantee that I will be able to receive the reimbursements I am entitled to within a reasonable timeframe, even though that was the whole point of signing up for their dental insurance. Very disappointing!!

We couldn’t be more thankful to La Grange de la Gatineau. After our original venue had flooding problems, they accommodated us on very short notice and truly saved our wedding day.

The location is absolutely gorgeous, full of charm and surrounded by nature. The team was welcoming, helpful, and incredibly kind throughout the process. We felt supported every step of the way, and it ended up being even better than we imagined.

We lucked out ending up here. It was a perfect day, thanks to this amazing venue and its staff. 5 stars without hesitation.

The location is a beautiful forested point in the river. We have attended several lovely concerts here! The venue is lovely and unique. Lots of wood and rock in the building. It’s fun to explore the venue with different historic items and the downstairs loop.
The shows we attended featured fantastic artists and good quality sound! The shows were well filled with good energy in the audience but still a small enough group for a personal, intimate show.

The place itself is very nice, with enough room to receive around 20 guest for a conference. The catering service is not great though, although the staff is excellent. The food is not tasty and it is frankly cheap. Same with their soft drink selection and desert. They serve no name or President choice sodas and their desert (including their muffins for the coffee breaks) are tastless or too sweet and really cheap.

Nice and cute space. Outdoor installation is welcoming, and there is a music spot for cello and violin players. Really nice.

My brother got married here and it was the most perfect place. The wedding was outside and they had pictures taken down by the water. Beautiful setting for a special event.

I only went to another bridal boutique before La Jolie Robe to find my wedding dress and from the moment i stepped into Anne-Marie's carefully crafted boutique, I already knew i was going to find my dream dress here. the attention to detail from the staff is absolutely amazing, they just know how to make you feel so special for your special day to come! they're very knowledgeable and are very professional yet approachable. Highly recommended for all your bridal and evening gown needs!

This adorable little boutique made my dreams come true. I felt like royalty on my wedding day and it was all because I found the dress of my dreams and the perfect veil to go with it. The dress came in 4 months after purchasing, so it was a lot quicker than anticipated (6-9 months). The staff was very knowledgeable and it made the whole experience easygoing. I also attended their summer sale for other evening gowns and got some amazing dresses for 15-40$ when these are normally 200-400$. I live in the complete opposite direction but the trip is worth every penny!

I got my wedding dress from La Maison Bridal and did my alterations there. All staff were very helpful and supportive. They really helped me pick a dress and gave me enough time and appointments to make a decision. They have a great collection. Prices are very reasonable. I got alterations done there. Very lovely seamstress who is patient and has a great demeanour. She has a great personality and lots of experience. She tried to accommodate my requests while also knowing what works and what does not. I had a great experience and overall would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I am shocked by the positive reviews. I would not recommend this boutique to fat brides or any body really. There's maybe 20-30 plus size dresses and they're hidden in the back. The selection was very limited and the dresses barely fit enough to try on so I couldn't really tell if I would like it or if I would be comfortable in the dress even if it were my size. There was one dress the consultant kept wanting me to try on and it seemed like the go-to dress for plus size brides. The consultant also let me try on a dress that clearly stated on the tag only went up to a size 12. When my sister expressed it would be nice to see the dress on a plus size model she told us to look it up online and maybe we could buy it from somewhere else. It was so strange. Anyway, I am very thankful I had a wonderful appointment earlier that day at David's Bridal or I probably would have sworn off wedding dress shopping completely.

Had the best experience at Maison Bridal with my girls. I purchased a $2500 dress that the lady told me had two small holes that would be no problem to fix. Got home with the dress to realize they weren’t two small holes. They were huge holes that I ended up needing to replace the whole back of the dress. The zipper was broken that she also said “oh, you just need to pull it up a bit harder than the other dresses”.
I should have checked the holes my self. I understand but I was so in the moment because I found the dress and she threw my veil on and sent me out to show my ladies the dress that I didn’t even think about checking.

I found MY dress here! I honestly never thought I would have the experience of finding THE dress until I came here. I had seen an Instagram ad with this specific dress and booked my appointment for the next day. The staff is always very lovely. I didn’t feel rushed, and I felt heard. The boutique is also very lovely and in a good location. All in all, I loved my experience and would definitely recommend!

I had a lovely experience dress shopping at La Maison! While I didn't find 'the one', they had a great selection of pretty dresses, an intimate space for me and my group, and even an area with alternate lighting so you can see the dress in different lights. My bridal stylist was super kind, and not pushy.

With a last minute short notice wedding request which required specialized ring sizing, as well as a few other important details, they not only delivered our rings/jewellery on time, but they went the extra mile to ensure that they were perfect for us. My experience at La Maison D’Or was everything I could have dreamed of, being someone who has no experience whatsoever in purchasing diamonds or jewelry of any kind for that matter.

I had the pleasure of having Arpi as my consultant when it came to finding the perfect engagement ring for my fiancée. Upon entering La Maison D’Or for the first time, Arpi made me feel as if all of my needs, interests and aspirations mattered. When discussing my budgetary restrictions towards finding a ring I could afford, (while at the same time, finding a diamond that would look perfect), Arpi understood where I was coming from and immediately showcased various options I could choose from regarding lab-made and naturally-made diamonds.

Arpi was able to guide me through the whole process of how I could size the ring for my fiancée and how I could be able to afford such a ring through a scheduled payment process. Additionally, when it came to having my ring put on a rush order so I could propose to my fiancée at a newly desired date and time, Apri and her colleagues, Laura and Erica were able to provide me with timely and routinely scheduled updates on the status of my order.

I additionally want to thank Brent for all of his helpful guidance and hospitality. Brent was able to provide detailed rundowns (alongside Arpi) of how La Maison D’Or acquires its diamonds and how the store operates when it comes to the production of their rings and bands.

I have the highest respect for Arpi, Brent and the rest of the staff of La Maison D’Or. This entire experience was hands down one of the most comfortable processes I have ever gone through when it comes to purchasing a custom-made ring for the woman I love. I have only the utmost amount of positive comments to this phenomenal store and would happily recommend La Maison D’Or to anybody, regardless of one’s budget and preferences in diamond shapes/sizes.

Took my daughter to look for a prom dress, we dealt with Shayna mainly and was she was great to deal with, provided suggestions and was very patient and personable. We didn't actually find a dress but will return when the new stock arrives. I would definitely recommend this boutique.

I came in to find a dress for a corporate gala coming up in September. I was greeted by Shayna. She provided me with excellent customer service and led me to the perfect dress for that evening. I went over a lot of stores for dresses and this is by far my favourite. Such beautiful dresses. I highly recommend

The ladies, Malory & I’m so sorry but forgot your name (Kate maybe) at La Maison Prom were absolutely TERRIFIC! They were very knowledgeable and built so much confidence in my little sister while looking for her Prom dress. I removed 1 star not for the service but the small variety, especially for affordable dresses. Size wise, I saw dresses 00 to 18+. Highly recommend to come here.

Simons is an awesome department store in the heart of The Ottawa market and Rideau Shopping Centre. It offers a wide variety of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and housewares. The prices vary but they offer quality named brands along with their own. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We really enjoy shopping at Simon’s in Ottawa and Quebec.

I had the best experience at Simon’s Ottawa located in the Rideau Centre.
I tried a few clothes and thanks to the a customer representative there, it went by smoothly. I had my outfits set in the changing room before getting in. They made sure I found everything I was looking for.
I ended up leaving very satisfied and not empty ended.

A vast store with multiple levels here at Rideau Mall downtown Ottawa. It has an abundance of different products for both men and women. The prices and quality vary but I’m sure that you can find what you’re looking for. 👍😎
