We hosted a backyard event of around 25 people and Tulips & Maple were great! The communication leading up to the event with the coordinator Heather was clear, understanding, and supportive. Onsite, the team was professional and on the ball: Steve helped with the setup, and then Cole and Raj did a great job serving our event. Communication was friendly, clear, and easy, as well as thoughtful in terms of finding the right moment to check in on questions or next steps. The food was delicious, fresh, and very nicely displayed. Thank you for the great experience!

We had Tulips & Maple cater our wedding. Heather, our coordinator and main point of contact, was fantastic for the entire planning process. She made everything incredibly easy and stress-free and helped us really create the menu we wanted. Then on the day of the wedding the team provided great service throughout, accommodating all of our last-minute scheduling changes and all the quirks of a wedding reception. The food and service were both excellent and all of our guests left happy!

Tulips and Maple catered my wedding this past weekend. Everything was phenomenal from start to finish. Coordinating details with Heather was effortless--she was incredibly organized, friendly, and responsive. It was also so great that we were able to go to an Open House event to do a tasting before finalizing the menu. On the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly I hadn't even noticed they had arrived. When it was time to go into the dining hall for dinner, the tables were set, the wine was ready to be served, and all of the glassware that they provided was beautiful. The waitstaff were so so friendly and they made their job seem effortless. The food was phenomenal and was served very quickly and efficiently. I recieved so much positive feedback from the guests that they loved the food. I had made the mistake of forgetting to provide steak knives for the steak (it was my choice to provide the cutlery for the dinner). The steak was so exceptional that guests were able to cut it with regular dinner knives no problem. Likewise with their arrival, I didn't even notice the cleanup and them leaving. I was able to just sit back and enjoy everything. I would use this company again in a heart beat!!!

Tulips & Maple (T & M) recently catered my daughter's wedding. We were delighted with the meal served. Many of the guests commented on how much they enjoyed their meal, myself and the groom included.

The service provided by the staff was professional, efficient, and pleasant. Special shout out to Bea, our bartender for her very cheerful and fun manner.

I also wanted to commend the T & M staff for going the extra mile when a portion of another contractor's equipment failed. T & M jumped in and helped remedy the situation quickly. Very much appreciated.

I would highly recommend T & M and would not hesitate to use their services again.

We used Tulips and Maple to cater our 120-person wedding in July and had a great experience! Heather was excellent to work with from the beginning and was so patient and helpful as I navigated the ups and downs of wedding planning and choosing food options. T&M was able to accommodate the many dietary restrictions that my guests and I need, which was great and meant a lot. The service during the wedding was excellent and they were also so helpful with other things like serving the cake and boxing up the extra desserts for guests to take home. The food was great and I would definitely recommend T&M to anyone in need of a caterer for their event!

i went to the bayshore location looking for a prom dress, as soon as i walked in i was greeted by the lovely staff and found my prom dress. The lady working let me try on a hoop skirt just so i can see what it would look like and she even let my little sister try on a dress while i was trying on mine. definitely recommend the bayshore location! great service and beautiful dresses

I recently visited the TurbanGlory shop and it was a WONDERFUL shopping experience! The ladies there were so helpful and were very sweet and patient in helping me find exactly what I was looking for. I ended up buying an unstitched suit and they sewed it for me based on my measurements. They tailored it to perfection and it fits like a glove! Overall, it was a great customer service experience and I highly recommend TurbanGlory to anyone who is looking for new suits!

I had a great experience buying my jutti and suit from them . They stitched my suit in just two days and suit fitted me perfectly . Definitely my go to place from now on for Indian attire .

We have rented this place for various functions. Great space, a beautiful stage, various other facilities, and friendly staff. We will keep coming back. Although the capacity is 250+ people, very limited parking is a significant issue.

My band played a show in the main hall here, and it was a great experience. The staff were super helpful, and the hall was big and suited our exact needs. Washrooms were clean, and everything was great. One thing to note is that every entrance had stairs, but the noth side entrance had a wooden ramp to wheel equipment in. Cool place, recommended!

Great hall. Great near west end location. Good parking and right on major bus routes. Nice two-level layout with a stage also. Comfortably sits 300+ guests for weddings or whatever kind of event. Self-help kitchen lets you pick and choose your own caterer. Church admin staff proficient and friendly. I’d rent it again!

This is a great place for a large gathering. Hubby and I attended the Peru National Day party here recently and it was a lot of fun. Great dance floor. Strategic kitchen and bar.

Had a wonderful group event at Umbrella Bar! They were very accommodating of our large group of 13 and were able to serve us reasonably fast. Food was very tasty with super unique drink combos. The aesthetics of the indoor dining area was perfect for summer parties. Can’t beat the view of Dow’s Lake outside!

We made a reservation for opening at 11:30 AM just in case since it was a Sat but got there before opening so that we were first in line anyways. It was a perfect setting on the patio!

Sweet potato fries are some of the best we've ever had honestly - they were crisp but soft on the inside and just the right seasoning 🤤

The iced matcha with oat milk was less matcha-y than I prefer but that's just my own flavour preference. Went with friends and we loved our shrimp roll, fish tacos, fish and chips, and burger. 🍔

We came in on the outdoor wood steps but I believe there is an indoor elevator for those who need to use it as well. Bathroom is very clean and indoor seating is super cute as well!

One of the best burger spots in Ottawa! I keep coming back for their delicious burgers and sweet potato fries. Went during the Tulip Festival—busy with about a 1-hour wait, but totally worth it. The guava ginger mocktail was refreshing, and the patio views of the lake with kayaks and seagulls were beautiful. The atmosphere was perfect for a spring day. Great food, friendly service, and clean bathrooms. Highly recommend!

The burgers and pasta were really good. The atmosphere was relaxed, with a nice view.

I've passed in front of this building for years without stopping, but I'm definitely happy that I finally did. The margaritas were perfect. And the gigantic beef nachos plate was absolutely delicious. I would recommend sharing; otherwise, it seems like way too much for one. Great location with large terrace overlooking Dows Lake.

Union Eleven was great to work with right from the very start. Although there is no shortage of talented wedding photographers in Ottawa, what set them apart during our ‘search’ was their responsiveness to our questions and willingness to work with our not-so-ordinary schedule on our wedding day. The lead up to the wedding is a stressful time, but Union Eleven was asking all of the right questions about times, locations and people to ensure that they would be well prepared to capture our special day.

Derrick and Jessica are both super down to earth, and it was easy to get comfortable in front of the camera with them. Sometimes it’s hard to seem natural when you know you’re being photographed, but I can’t say enough about how easy it was to work with them.

The turnaround time to receive our photos was much faster than we anticipated, and we couldn’t be happier with the results!

We were married in early October 2020 in Ottawa and with upholding public health guidelines we wanted to balance having our close family and friends present for the ceremony- this is where Union Eleven came in with their live streaming services.
We were able to have both a small in-person ceremony and have an opportunity for our family and friends across the country to share in our special day. Union Eleven was able to live-stream using different vantage points and ensuring that our microphones were active/muted at appropriate times.
Andrew arrived early to the venue to allow for plenty of time for set up. I was glad to hear that I wouldn't need to wear a microphone with my dress and my husband's microphone would pick up normal talking volume with no issues.
I was extremely happy with the streamed content, and I have been able to download it as an amazing memento to watch again. I would definitely recommend this live streaming service to anyone planning their special day!

Andrew Geddes of Union Eleven photographers made our wedding so memorable with the wedding photos that he took! They are absolutely amazing and phenomenal, and words won’t even give justice to how beautiful they turned out. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Urban Element for our son's rehearsal dinner (July 10, 2025) and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, they were outstanding.
The food was spectacular-though it wasn't a sit-down dinner, the combination of beautifully passed appetizers and a thoughtfully curated grazing table made for a truly elevated experience. The passed bites were served with impeccable timing and care, while the grazing table offered a stunning variety that guests couldn't get enough of.
Every bite was beautifully crafted, bursting with flavour, and presented with elegance and creativity. Guests kept commenting on how each item was more delicious than the last. It was re fined, exciting and absolutely memorable - nothing typical or expected about it. People are still taking about the food!
But just as impressive was the level of service. The entire team was professional, warm, and attentive, making everyone feel cared for and special.

Our family fully enjoyed Urban Element’s turkey dinner. The portions were substantial, more than enough for 8 people to have healthy servings and there were even left overs for guests to take home. I placed a large order from the frozen food menu last week. I will start with what we did not enjoy... The Potato & Leek soup was good, the potato to leek ratio and the texture was perfect however, a bit too much onion and garlic and could have used a pinch more salt but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Now on to the GOOD stuff - Roasted Chicken thighs were cooked to perfection, paired with cabbage and potatoes that were amazing. Beef Lasagna was my son's favorite and he did not want to share lol. BBQ pulled pork Mac and Cheese was my favorite and was exceptional!! Even my picky daughter was amazed. Tonight we will indulge in Sweet Potato & Brocolli Mac & Cheese. The packaging and cooking instructions were clear and concise. Being a hockey mom has it's own challenges and dinner is often one of them and takeout has become a norm for us. Well... not anymore. Having these frozen dinners available, my kids can pop them in the oven and have dinner before I get home to run them to their hockey practices or games. I will definetely be a return customer (in fact I've already placed my sencond order)!! I can't wait to test the desserts!!

For birthdays and weddings and endless superhero parties, we always come back to Val (and her expert doggy sidekick, Zoey)! She has vegan options, oodles of creativity, and even donates part of her profits to the Humane Society! Can't wait until next time!

I rented a limo for my daughters prom. Was extremely happy with the service. Limo arrived on time, was clean inside. The driver was extremely friendly. When the kids were ready to leave earlier from the prom, they just called the driver and he came right away to pick them up. I would highly recommend them. I will book them again when I need a limo.

Have you seen the classic Rolls and Cadillac? Gino has looked after my daughters and family for years. The only team I call in Ottawa - don’t bother looking elsewhere.

We used Vegas limo for our wedding and would highly recommend them. They were very professional and easy to work with. No issues at all on our wedding day. Overall very positive experience!

We booked a limousine for our son’s prom.
We were extremely nervous since our son and his date are both autistic. They reassured us that they would be in good hands and he really made us feel safe.
The day before prom , we received a call telling us the AC wasn’t working anymore on the limousine we rented. They explained to us that the company would upgrade us to an suv limousine at no extra cost. We were very happy.

The day of the prom , a gigantic white limo parked at our door. It was humongous !
I truly didn’t expect that big 😂

The driver introduced himself. Very professional, extremely polite and he made me feel confident my son would be safe.
We obviously took family pictures and my son left to get his date for the prom.

They took more family pictures there and the lovebirds left for a romantic ride & prom.

This hotel hyped this venue up way too much for my liking. My Aunt decided to throw her 55th birthday party at venue twenty two this past weekend and it turned out disastrous! The dinner before the actual party which was at The Shore Club restaurant was awful, everyone who ordered the steak dinner ended up with what I’m assuming to be food poisoning because they all had to run to the washroom multiple times throughout the night. There were also finger foods that were prepared for the party that the staff put out way too early after the dinner(this was an invite only party so the guest that were at the dinner were the same guest to attend the party) and it ended up going to waste for the most part because it was only 15-20 mins after everyone went upstairs that the food went out. To top it off the staff ended up packing up all of the food because then they decided it was “left out too long” which is understandable, but the point being was that the food should have not been brought out until later that evening that way everyone could have enjoyed it. The staff also treated the attending DJ horribly as they kept telling him to turn the music down in a room which advertised to be “soundproof”. We didn’t want the music blasting, but loud enough for us to be able to enjoy it in a room that size. We weren’t able to hear it because they continuously interrupted the DJ telling him to turn it down Needless to say the money that was spent on this party went to waste and I do not recommend renting this venue after the way we were treated. Do better Westin, this was very disappointing.

We recently hosted our wedding at Venue Twenty Two. We can’t express enough how perfectly the service was orchestrated by the Westin. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner! The venue is beyond beautiful. The floor to ceiling windows offered amazing views of downtown Ottawa and the sunset was breathtaking from up there! Our coordinator was Kayla Camus leading up to the event and Mariam on the day of. They were both so professional, organized and answered my many many questions promptly! Thank you both so much! We would recommend the Westin/Venue Twenty Two to any future brides/grooms!

Wonderful venue, recently attended a cocktail reception in this space, located on the 22nd floor of the Westin Ottawa. There are wrap around windows with expansive views of the city, highlighted by the Parliament Buildings and the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. The bartenders and service staff were friendly and efficient with serving guests and I noticed that they were extra diligent in keeping the room tidy throughout the event. This is an excellent choice for business and personal functions!

Really cool venue with a great view of downtown Ottawa. We had our work Christmas party there (apps and drinks) food and service was great. The 270° view of ottawa was breathtaking.

After 19 years of staying at our home away from home, and having the lovliest host Isabel and her son scott, it took a stay at a B&B on a 200 yr old farm in Holland to maybe match it. Verbenas has always been clean, safe and the breakfasts are the bonus. Thanks always.

Overpriced. While outwardly welcoming, these characters are looking for any way to overcharge.

I exchanged a shirt and tie. The attendant did a series of random calculations by hand, added and subtracted discounts where convenient, and came up with a $60 charge out of nowhere. All the while telling me he was doing me a favour and that I was getting a deal on better quality goods. Note the non-Italian goods from a shop where “everything is imported from Italy”.

What could have been repeat business ends at $60. Too bad.

NO REFUNDS - Don't judge a book by its cover applies very much to this store. At first, it looks like a decent high-end store until you quickly realize that this store is scamming its customers and any sucker they can. The products are way overpriced for the quality of the goods. It's a fake Italian store that looks nice inside, but don't get fooled. As soon as you pay attention to the quality of the clothes and the price tags, you quickly realize that something isn't right. The staff was acting very nice and trying to make you feel that you are important and that they are giving you big discounts on already overly priced goods. They'll put random discounts just to make you feel like you are getting a deal, but you're still overpaying way too much. The quality is terrible, but they'll say it's from high-end brands from Italy you've never heard of before. I bought a belt there because I biked to work that day and forgot mine at home. Before paying for it, I specifically asked if I could return it and get reimbursed. The guy (Steve) assured me that I could without any problem if I had the receipt. Fair enough. Come back the following week only to find out that "their debit machine wasn't set up properly" and that "they don't know how to set it up" to process refunds. They tried to offer me to exchange the belt for something else that was obviously super overpriced. I decided to cut my losses and took a tie instead for $85. It's not that nice looking, either. Learned my lesson.

Been going there for 11 years now. Always amazing service from Michael and impeccable clothing. He truly is a great salesman with good taste and ideas if you are not sure what you are looking for. Forget about Guess and Simon's. If you want to look amazing and have quality clothes that will last you a decade, look no further. Just be ready to pay 150$ for your shirt or pants.

Vernini has the best customer service I have ever experienced at any clothing store. I went in looking for a few bow ties for the bridal party of my wedding. The staff there were so patient as I was debating colour choices with my fiance. Finally I made a decision and they even gave me a small discount on the ties. At the end they asked if I needed any pocket squares to colour match the bow ties. I asked if since they will be wearing boutineers, do they need the pocket squares. They could have gone the way of increasing their sales but without hesitation they said I would not need the pocket squares. That small thing alone would be why I would recommend this store. I felt like they really cared about making my bridal party look their best. I left feeling very happy about my purchase and that doesn't happen nearly as often as it should.

High quality and great service. My husband bought pants and shirt for a wedding. They did alterations to both pants and shirts.
Shorten the sleeves and removed the collar.
Made it into a round collar so no tie needed. It was free of charge and great customer service.

I had been searching for a specific Eliza Faulkner shirt which was no longer available at Eliza Faulkner, or in any of my local shops. I found it through Victoire’s online shop, and was so excited! They shipped it to me the very next day, and I received it on Vancouver Island less than a week later. Their packaging and handwritten note was so lovely. It’s so fantastic to come across these wonderful, small businesses, and I’ll definitely be stopping by when I’m in town next!

As for my shopping experience, that was quite underwhelming. The two workers at the counter were just chatting and did not ask me once how I was doing- which is not that unusual, so I just continued my search for swimsuits on my own.
A small number of swimsuits was hung on display, then there were two bins on the ground with different sizes and colors, so it was really hard to get a sense of what the offering was. Plus I had to squat and go through the stuff in the bin, which sort of clashes with the polished vibe of the store.

I asked a question regarding one of the swimsuits but they didn’t have what I was looking for. Now, according to customer service 101 the next logical questions could be “were you looking for anything else/ can I help you find any other model?” and so on.
None of that happened so I just walked out. I Too bad, because I drove to this place specifically to make a sale! I would expect this at Zara but not here.

This store is such a vibe! The staff is always extremely helpful and their designs are gorgeous. I highly recommend stopping in when you’re in the Glebe!

We hired Viking Films for our wedding, which we had to reschedule twice due to the pandemic. During that time, they proved to be very understanding of the situation and had no trouble accommodating our requests. Vivian, Georges and Jason were very professional throughout our collaboration. They studied the wedding day timeline we provided and made sure to capture all the key moments we had emphasized. Upon receiving the “draft” footage, we requested a few tweaks, including addressing audio issues in some sections of the video. They promptly rectified the concerns and delivered the revised version to us, along with all the raw footage (which is always fun to watch, especially for uncovering the little details we, as newlyweds, may have missed on the actual wedding day).

Overall, we were fully satisfied with their services and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for wedding videography services.

Viking Film was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding film! From start to finish: communication, pricing, quality of work, editing timeline... all of it was top notch!! George was our videographer - He was the sweetest, he arrived punctually, and immediately got to work capturing our day. He worked effortlessly alongside our photographer throughout the day. And he had some really cute ideas for footage too! We are soooooo awkward and nervous behind the camera, so the prompts were greatly appreciated lol! He even stayed a little longer to dance and captured some of the dance party for us, which was such a fun surprise to see at the end of our wedding video!

Remote can be hard to work with but I got chat got to translate it in English and then it went much smoother!

You go in through the same door as the restaurant, and there's a stairway to go upstairs.

It was fun! The controls are in Korean which can be confusing when you're trying to do things. The song book is organized alphabetically by the first letter of the song, and by language (English, Korean, etc.). The room could have probably benefited from a clean and a little update.

I came with some white homies (happy birthday Heather) and they ripped the damn door handle clean off the door. The manager was so patient and understanding. Peach soju still rocks. Best karaoke spot in 100 km radius

If you're fluent in Korean, you'll have an easy time navigating the menus and displays, because it's entirely Korean. Moderate selection of songs, but the backing tracks are pretty lacking. You'll occasionally get a classic song that is cut short to less than a minute. Stairway to Heaven was only the into and one verse, then it was over. The system also will sometimes skip songs in the queue, and the backing videos are all over the place. We were singing Brown Eyed Girl while watching a korean man with a headwound bleed out on the floor of his apartment.

Rooms are a bit dingy, but hey, at least the mics work. Employees are nice and professional.

Great customer service & great atmosphere.
The karaoke rooms are pretty big and clean and reasonable price for drinks and karaoke.
Overall it was a great experience.
