I had an amazing experience getting my wedding band made here. After doing a lot of looking around at some of the bigger, well-known stores in Ottawa, this place stood out by far as the best. From the beginning, they were incredibly upfront and honest, which I really appreciated. The communication was excellent—they kept me updated throughout the entire process, and everything moved quickly without ever feeling rushed.

What really impressed me was their skill and expertise. They delivered exactly what I asked for, down to the smallest detail, and the final result was perfect. You can tell they genuinely care about their craft and their customers. I couldn’t be happier with my ring or the experience overall.

My fiancée and I had the pleasure of working with Matthew to design both of our engagement rings, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience or the final result. From start to finish, the process was seamless, efficient, and genuinely enjoyable.

Matthew was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for. The rings are absolutely beautiful and everything we hoped for.

I would like to thank Mario from the bottom of my hearth. Myself and my wife, we were very glad to have such a wonderful professional at our wedding. Mario helped us before the wedding by helping us plan the night and answering our questions about what was possible to do while making sure everything was safe for our guests. When we arrived at the reception, mario came to make sure we were taken care of and even tho we arrived late at the reception because we took too many pictures, the rest of the night went smoothly because of his expertise in time management. 10 stars. What a gem. DJ Mario is very experienced and threw a great party for our intimate wedding. He came well prepared and met with us twice prior to the reception to discuss music and timeline. He integrated so much of our favorite songs during the dinner and party portion. He has great taste in music and made sure everything flowed so well. He took the extra steps to be on the same page with our day-of-coordinator and the saxophonist.

Above all, he is very professional, attentive and kind. He made sure to understand our vision and did not push for any gimmicks like other DJs selling you neon lights, smoke and tacky effects. His photo booth was a hit. We would highly recommend him. Thank you Mario!

We hired DJ Mario for a high school prom and DJ Francis did an incredible job. He really wants the crowd to have an incredible time. He gets them going, he listens to their requests, he tells them to tone it down when mosh pits form and listens well to the organizers’ instructions. He adapts, is a team player and respectful. When I first spoke with Shane, he quickly realized that I didn’t have all the tools at my disposal to properly orchestrate a reception. Without me asking for anything, he immediately stepped in and said, “All right, I’m going to play the role of wedding planner.” From that moment, he guided me through crafting an evening that was tailor-made for us; humble, understated and a true reflection of our personalities.

We had a very specific vision for the music: no typical wedding songs, just tracks that carried personal meaning and memories. Shane not only understood that vibe but embraced it completely, curating a playlist that made the night uniquely ours.

Throughout the reception, Shane went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for. He brought us water while we were out in the fields taking photos, arranged a private space where we could relax with a glass of wine and some tapas, and thoughtfully gave us time checks before the next milestones of the evening so we never felt rushed. Those small but meaningful gestures ensured we could be fully present in the moment.

Dolci Sapori is a gem for anyone with a sweet tooth. The pastries are always fresh, beautifully presented, and full of authentic Italian flavor. From cannoli to tiramisu, everything tastes homemade with real care and quality ingredients. The coffee pairs perfectly with the desserts, making it a wonderful spot for a mid-day treat or after-dinner indulgence. The staff are warm, welcoming, and happy to recommend their favorites, which makes every visit feel special. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, whether you’re grabbing something to go or sitting down to enjoy a quiet moment.

Was it the best tiramisu I've ever had? Yes. But I'll have to try more to know how well it stacks to others. The cream's flavor is layered, melting from thick, buttery cream to an acid milk, evaporating into whipped cream. The coffee is a balanced bitter and has a delightful hint of a sweet, earthy spice, possibly cardamom. It was a pleasant surprise that the biscuit on top was perfectly soft. The biscuit on the bottom was watery, though, and I would have preferred if it was more fresh. Maybe if I came earlier in the day. I came in at noon, maybe that would explain it. Friendly, personable staff. Welcoming atmosphere. I'd recommend!

This is the only time I've came here & everything I got was phenomenal very delicious! I had a ice coffee a cannoli pistachio & my wife a pistachio ice cream wow I've never had ice cream that tasty! After dinner, my friend and I decided to check out this bakery and I’m so glad we did. The pistachio croissant was absolutely phenomenal, packed with flavor. I’m usually not a huge fan of biscotti, but theirs completely changed my mind, crunchy yet light, with just the right amount of sweetness. We also tried the red velvet cheesecake, which was rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. Everything tasted so fresh! We’ll definitely be back!!

My husband and I got married at Mallity this past weekend. From the beginning, the team has been so helpful. They’ve help with decisions, the planning process, the coordination of everything. The whole team was fantastic, from helping with mishaps, making sure everything is how we wanted it, making you feel relaxed and comfortable. I have absolutely no complaints and I would get married here million times. Shoutout to Megan for helping get stains out of dresses, helping me feel composed, helping me coordinate everything, making sure everything is perfect. Megan saved the day more than once. I had the chance to photograph a wedding here in May 2024. Lexine (venue owner) is an incredible host, her vibrant and welcoming personality throughout the process will bring you so much excitement throughout your wedding planning. There are great spots for photos throughout the bridal suite, to the front of the yard. I love the rustic barn suite as well so both sides of the wedding party can get ready together! It is so lovely to see both an equally beautiful outdoor and a backup indoor space! I hope to be back one day :)

My husband and I got married at Mallity Estate on Sept 27, 2025, and truly could not have picked a better venue! The entire team were absolute rockstars. They checked in with us throughout the day, made sure we had the décor we had selected from their inventory, ensured the draping over the arch was exactly how we wanted it, and were always there to see if we needed anything.

Our coordinator Megan was fantastic - friendly, responsive, and supportive throughout the planning process and on the wedding day. She was very accommodating when we made last-minute changes, and the morning set-up crew (Kayla and Gabriella) were equally wonderful. Lovely quiet and tranquil green space. Lots of benches in different spots to sit and have a quiet moment under trees, beside the water or soaking in the sun. Trails are flat, very easy to navigate on foot or bike and take you alongside the Rideau Canal. Perfect place for a reset after spending a busy day in the city. So peaceful.

The Dominion Arboretum is easily one of Ottawa’s most beautiful and underrated treasures—and one of my personal favourite places in the city. Nestled in a convenient, central location, it offers a peaceful escape from the busyness of urban life without ever having to leave town.

What makes the Arboretum truly special is its year-round beauty. In spring, it bursts to life with blossoms, budding trees, and vibrant new growth. In fall, it transforms into a spectacular display of colour, with golden leaves and rich reds painting every path. Even in summer and winter, it holds a quiet charm, whether you’re picnicking by the water or walking along the snow-dusted trails.

The variety of plants and trees grown here is impressive—it’s like a living museum of horticulture. Whether you’re a plant enthusiast or just someone looking for a peaceful place to think, walk, or relax, the Arboretum has something to offer. It’s not just a park; it’s a place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with nature, right in the heart of Ottawa.

Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike.

A beautiful park to spend the day. Lots of trees and paths to walk and/or jog along. The views of the Dow lake are spectacular. Parking is free for 90 minutes. Not a lot of spaces though. It is well worth getting there early and enjoy yourself

As a visitor to Ottawa who lives in a rural community, I absolutely loved this gorgeous Arboretum filled with such wonders of Mother Nature. A must visit on a sunny day so you can wander and be curious about the goodness of green. Cheers, Spicy Jan

I absolutely love to visit on summer time. Absolutely amazing and beautiful garden with many flowers and nature to see. Just go and enjoy!!

Excellent spot for live music and pool (just not at the same time 🤣). Always a great time to be had at the Dom; drinks are fairly priced, event line up is always packed with local gems, and the crew here is solid.

The bartenders are always so polite and the bands they get are great!

Service is great, and as one of the few venues hosting metal, hardcore, and punk bands, they provide a much needed space for that. Beer/drinks prices are nuts though. $12 for a pint is insane.

Dominion Tavern is a true local gem chill vibes, cheap drinks, great music, and a friendly crowd. It’s the perfect no-fuss spot to relax, shoot pool, and enjoy Ottawa’s real bar scene.

One of a kind dive bar & an Ottawa institution. The definitive jaunt for all flavours punk, metal, and alternative music in the Byward Market, with chill vibes and strong anti-establishment spirit. Also the home of some of the nicest people in town.

There is not enough good things I could say about this boutique. After going to 2 different stores, trying on over 20 dresses, and still not finding that "this is it" feeling, I was getting pretty discouraged. My maid of honour bought her dress from Dominique last year and suggested we call. She called and they were able to squeeze us in within a couple hours. We showed up and I described to Dominique exactly what I wanted and was looking for. The FIRST dress she brought me to try on was it. Before I even got it pulled up passed my hips, I knew I loved the feeling of it. The material, quality, shape, build, support ... Everything was perfect. I walked out and my bridesmaids and mom began to cry. I lost my best friend 4 years ago, and when I tell you that I stood on the pedestal and looked at myself, I felt her with me more than I have in so long. It was a perfect day. For the rest of my days I will send anyone to Dominique 💜

My daughter was too impatient to wait for me to go prom dress shopping. She went to a different dress shop and left crying ad the experience was stressful and she had no one to help her. I, in the past, have previously bought my wedding dress at this beautiful boutique and I already knew she would get treated like a princess there. Needless to say, both my daughter and I were not disappointed.

We had three favourite dresses and this is the one she said YES to!!!!

I had a wonderful time during my short trip.

The house is old, so surely the facilities may not be as good as some newer places. However, it was still okay in general, and its age makes it a nice option for people who want to see what older houses are like (despite the age of the house in general, the washroom has been lately updated and was clean, as someone picky about washrooms, I'm generally satisfied).

The owners are very welcoming. I was a bit confused and nervous before my trip as I didn't receive instructions about check-in, but the whole process turned out to be easy and smooth. Simple vegetarian breakfast is included with no extra charge. The dairy products, the cereals, and the baked toast are great.

Generally good location with the Museum of Nature and plenty of good restaurants, pubs, and other food places around the property. It's not close to O Train but bus stops are within a few minutes' walk, and it's an easy drive from the airport.

Another thing I liked is that unlike some other B&Bs, I didn't find any stringent and hard house rule, instead things generally remained quite flexible.

It's worth noticing that the owners now have two (lovely) dogs, so for people who are not comfortable with dogs for any reason, better to notify the property beforehand so that you can make arrangements beforehand.

I stayed there by myself in april 2024.

The hosts are very nice and made me feel very welcome and safe.

I made my reservation weeks ahead of time and told them that I needed a gluten free diet. I received an email back telling me not to worry because their gluten free breakfast would be yummy. I was offered instant coffee, orange juice and a Clementine. Yummy..not. The kitchen was disgusting and the carpets were not clean. No air conditioning , no tv and a very cluttered environment. I was here for a conference so I had breakfast the nest couple of days at the hotel. My husband also went out for a good breakfast. Will not go back or recommend this B&B to anyone.

It's a beautiful century home well kept and clean. A great location across the street from the museum and within walking distance to the Parliament buildings, historical sites, and many other places of interest. What truly sets this B&B apart from the others are your hosts. A lovely couple who will treat you like family and make your stay with them special. They're knowledge of Ottawa and it's history is amazing. They will gladly reccomend restaurants, shops, entertainment, museum's, historical sites and many points of interest. I have stayed with them many times, this B&B is a gem, priceless!!!

Beautiful home, eccentrically decorated, warm and hospitable owners. I initially reserved because of the amazing proximity to downtown, but i will definitely be going back because of the incredibly friendly management. When you’re there, you feel like you’re a part of their family!

Nick was an amazing officiant . My partner and I eloped and just had my mom and boyfriend there before we head back east for a bigger wedding and Nick made the process super smooth and easy. He is very nice and professional and kept us and our minds at ease throughout the whole process on our special day. My husband and I were married by Nick this past April at The Grand Hotel in Carleton Place. Nick had a zoom call with us just for us to meet him before we made our decision, which many others did not offer. It just took that call and we had to look no further. He listened, paid attention to the little details, and really wanted to know what we wanted out of our ceremony. He even provided an outline and recommendations before we even agreed to hire him. Of course we did! And we could not have been happier. We met in person prior to the wedding to go over things. Dress Scoop is a super cute boutique with great service and a nice selection of dresses. The woman who helped us was lovely and made the experience enjoyable. However, most of the sample dresses were too small to try on for an average-sized girl like me, which made it difficult to get a true idea of the fit and style. I’d recommend asking about sizing before booking an appointment. I didn’t end up buying my dress here, but overall, it was still a good experience!

Hands down the absolute best store to shop for your bridal looks. Went there for my best friend 2 years ago, and returned to purchase my own dress the following year. The service at this wedding dress boutique was exceptional. All the dresses are one of a kind, beautiful, and elegant. From the moment I walked in, the staff was attentive and friendly, making me feel welcomed and comfortable. They listened attentively to my preferences and provided valuable suggestions. Lucy's expertise and professionalism were evident as she guided me, and ensuring I found the perfect dress. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I highly recommend this boutique to any bride-to-be in search of their dream dress.

It was quite busy, I waited for 1h45 but the service was smooth and I got my plates in a few minutes.

There was a long line up when I arrived at 15 minutes to nine and I was no 49 when doors opened at 9. They were so efficient that I was out before 10, with new drivers licence and health cards ordered and 2 licence plates renewed! I was impressed.

Gabriela nailed my wedding cake and cupcakes! All the guests abosuletly loved the salted caramel cupcakes, there was none left by the end of the night. The wedding cake was equally as delicious. If you want a simple/small wedding cake it is quite affordable as well!

We couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect wedding cake! Gaby absolutely nailed it — the cake was gorgeous, incredibly delicious, and truly a showstopper. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about it, and not a single piece was left behind (which says it all!). From the design to the flavor, every detail was flawless. Gaby’s talent and passion shine through in her work, and we’re so grateful she was part of our big day. Highly, highly recommend!

Gabriela from Dulce Cake Design, was amazing to work with, and she created a beautiful cake for our wedding. We were very happy that we had the option to choose from a wide variety of unique flavours (we chose lemon and raspberry and are so happy we did). Gabriela also designed and created small favour cakes for our guests to take home, and they were all pleasantly surprised.

Very disappointed with my stay here. The lamp had a burnt-looking shade, there was no hairdryer, and part of the ceiling looked burnt or damaged. The bed wasn’t sturdy at all — it tilted whenever you sat on one side, making it feel like you could fall off. During a heat wave, the AC was so weak that the room stayed warm and uncomfortable, which I’ve never experienced in any other hotel. The TV wouldn’t connect via HDMI no matter what I tried, the tables were sticky as if they hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the pillows felt like the cheapest ones possible. For the price, this place was a huge letdown and I wouldn’t recommend it.
It should be 50$ a night at this point.

This is a value alternative to a stay at the capital. It has a free parking though across from the hotel and you need a keyfob to get through the garage. The checking in process is somewhat weird but the staffs are very friendly. Greet them bienvenue or hello and they can tell where you are coming from and they will carry on your native tongue. Oh, well in français or anglaise that is for sure. Room itself is a suit where a long term stay is perfect. You get a propane stove to cook, even. A mini kitchen. Bathroom is clean and new sink and shower. Good quality bath towels provided. Water is extremely hot. Roomy room and a king size bed but bed frame is old. We can look out the window facing an office building and sure workers there can look into our room. The promenade or walking street is across the hotel and plenty of places to eat and drink. In Canada big cities parking is quite expensive and they will ticket you if you parked during 7AM to 4PM so park only in the garage. If you drive a Ford excavator a parking spot maybe too small for it. The annoying thing we can say is that it is very noisy for our room because we were next to an entry. The door need to be locked with a key when leaving the room. Key into the building and then key into your room. Since this is a suite hotel I think there are long term renters there. They charged a $50CND deposit and when you checking out return that receipt and they will credit it back right there. Unlike some hotels you will have to wait days for them to credit it back. Good people.

I stayed here a few weeks ago while traveling alone. There is no on-site staff here. You have to check-in and check-out at their other building a few blocks away. Staff I met at that office was very friendly and helpful.
The room was comfy and had ample space. There was a coffee maker but no coffee/cream/sugar etc. There were also a small stove, fridge pans & pots, plates utensils etc. for you to cook your own meal. Up until mid night there was a little bit of noise from the street next to the building where people were talking and shouting (leaving parties/restaurants I assumed) but was not a major concern for me.
Overall a good stay and a good value for the money paid.

pretty much the definition of you get what you pay for but i argue even $90-100 was a bit much for what is offered.
check in is a block away if you have been travelling long distance and arrive at night its a bit of an annoying task. staff was very nice there.
rooms are spacious but empty, none of our lightbulbs worked besides the main ceiling light, the bed frame had fallen off. which they fixed the next day however it clearly falls off the wall often.
location is pretty bad due to a cul de sac that has a bunch of bars back patios facing eachother, young people from ottawa not yet legal to drink clearly travel to drink and make lots of noise at night well into 3am. which if you're here for work like i was, was..... very upsetting.
wouldn't stay here if i had made the booking myself.

Good location .. all main attractions are nearby. Rooms were also clean. Nice place to book when you are out whole day & just coming here to sleep at good price.

I recently worked alongside Stephan from Dynamix Productions at a wedding, and he was fantastic! As a wedding photographer, having an energetic and skilled DJ makes a huge difference, and Stephan delivered. He kept the dance floor packed and was excellent at maintaining high energy levels throughout the night.

Stephan exceeded our expectations on all levels. He was so professional, down to earth, and you can really tell he really cares about his clients. Our wedding planning was quite last minute, yet he was communicating with us throughout, always accommodating, and always so so patient and helpful. His music software is super user-friendly, plus the platform gave suggestions based on the vibe that you wanted. The whole process of selecting music was so fun and easy, my partner and I had a mini-party in our house till 3am on a weekday. Oh yeah also, he's a damn talented DJ. Everything was beyond perfect. Hire him.

We had a fantastic Group holiday party, thanks to Stephan! From the very beginning, Stephan was a dream to work with. He was incredibly responsive and attentive during the planning stages, making sure every detail was covered and our preferences were met. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ experience, including the amazing photobooth and A/V. Highly recommend Dynamix Productions for any event!

Stephan was incredible. He is professional, organized, and puts you at ease. Throughout the entire process, put us as ease by carefully explaining each step. It is also helpful that he is funny.
He absolutely crushed it and brought life to the dance floor. He mixes were also on point!

He made the process easy as we planned the evening through his app and he truly kept our dancefloor alive all night long, we got many compliments about his setup and professionalism! Emmet was amazing! We hired him to DJ my wedding in August 2025 - he was so flexible and easy to work with. Incredibly organized and responsive in the planning, and brought amazing vibes/energy to the party! Would 10/10 recommend working with him!

The sound and music went exceptionally well for my daughter's outdoor wedding. Sound was perfectly on q, high quality and perfect volume. We had Emmett DJ for our wedding and he did a great job! He was so easy and professional to work with!

We had a wedding with 150 guests between the ages of 3 - 83. Emmett was able to accommodate our guests preferences and made the night a great party!

Leading up to the event, Emmett was very responsive and often got back to us within a couple of minutes. Last minute changes were no issue, and he even stayed beyond the time we had mistakenly given him. He was a true professional and made or lives very easy, which was much appreciated!

Emmett accommodated our requests and was fantastic at reading the room. He had everyone on the dance floor until the very end of the night. We could not have asked for a better DJ and would recommend Emmett to all. Our experience was even better than 10/10!
