A cute and cozy spot with a nice selection of French-inspired dishes with lovely presentation. Good list of mimosa. On Saturday they don’t serve lunch menu at 12:30, so we proceed with the brunch menu which was good for adults but limited for kids. The food is good overall, though not quite amazing. The croque madame had quality ham, though the cheese and sauce could have used more flavor. The avocado toast was fresh and tasty, and the French fries were excellent. The kids’ French toast had good flavor but was a little soggy. In general, it’s a charming place near Parliament Hill, worth a visit for the atmosphere, but the food still has room for improvement.

Cocotte Bistro is an absolute gem!

The quality is outstanding. The atmosphere is just as wonderful: warm, inviting, and full of charm. It’s the kind of place where you want to linger a little longer over coffee.

An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Cocotte

From the moment we walked in, Cocotte delivered on every front. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing — warm, inviting, and beautifully designed to elevate the dining experience. The food? Simply exquisite. Every dish was a work of art both in presentation and flavor. You can tell there’s passion behind every plate.

The wine selection was outstanding, perfectly curated to complement the menu. But what truly took our evening to the next level was the exceptional service, especially from our waitress Milena. She was absolutely incredible — knowledgeable, personable, and spot-on with her food and wine pairing recommendations. She made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout the night.

This is easily one of my top five restaurants, and we left already planning our next visit. If you're in the area, do not miss this place — Cocotte is a gem. Highly recommended!

I took my wife to lunch here. The atmosphere is quite chic. And a little different. It feels like I’m in a library with a 10 story skylight. There was also beautifully decorated outdoor patio seating.

The staff were very courteous. And helped us with the menu and choices. Always eager to help. The food came quickly as well and was quite tasty! Slightly on the expensive side. But not overly. It cost $120 for apps and two sandwiches. And two drinks (cocktail and wine). I wouldn’t particularly bring small children here though. I would go back.

I stopped into this restaurant for the first time as a visitor to Ottawa. I wandered around DT choosing this place for its rating and French-forward menu. It as busy when i arrived so as a single i was asked if could sit at the bar, no problem, i didn't see any tables to accommodate me anyways, and it continued to be busy through the evening. I want to give a shout out to the amazing bar staff on the evening of Sept 26th, 2025. It took me a while to get a drink, but the bar-tender was hustling like, crazy, he was basically a one man show. I ordered a simple glass of white wine, and the salmon (which i had come specifically to have) and it did not disappoint! Just delicious. It came out in a pretty quick time considering how busy the restaurant was. I will admit i was only checked on once during, and ordered a second wine but overall enjoyed myself and watched the entire staff ( host/waiters/bar staff) run around like crazy, but a well oiled machine, smooth, professional. Helping each other, including behind the bar etc.. impressed overall with the staff, in particular when a few other patrons at the bar decided to be rather unpleasant ( one actually got upset when the host didn't recognize him as a "regular patron" and was offended and rude to the host.. ( totally uncalled for, people really need to check themselves) host took it like a champ, apologized etc... NOTE: I wish i had gotten the name of the bartender that evening ( tall slender younger fellow) who was on point, he deserves specicial recognition in this review. Beautifully crafted cocktails under immense pressure and knows his craft, i sat at the bar for over and hour and he didn't miss a beat. He took a moment to verbally thank me for being easy going and a pleasure a the bar (which means perhaps others had not been) Sadly I'm not from Ottawa, as i would return here no doubt. Only 4/5 stars on atmosphere as in the main dining area connected to the lobby/sitting at the bar, it was really loud, would not have been the best for a conversation etc.. but overall really great.

We used Cody Party Rentals for our wedding and the service was phenomenal! They were helpful and flexible, allowing us to retrieve the rentals ourselves, then use their pick up service for the return, avoiding holiday/weekend fees. They even subcontracted a red carpet from a sister company for us, since they didn't have one in their inventory. We would absolutely recommend this company!

Great co-working space that’s bright with many workspaces, good office equipment, and stable wifi. Also a fridge to store your lunch, and complimentary beverages and more. Rooms to take private calls, and a meeting room as well.

Recommended for a friendly and relaxed experience, without the office commute. Hazel was warm and helpful during our visit and ensured we had what we needed, as well as suggested nearby services we required.

We held our engagement party at Collaburo. We rented the downstairs room and the outside patio space.
The space is amazing and the event Manager went above and beyond to make our event go smoothly. Everyone complimented the space and specifically patio as a little oasis in the heart of the city.
We picked a busy date during tulip festival and their team helped make everything work out perfectly.

Booked Colleen to shoot our engagement photos and our wedding reception and we couldn't be happier. From the first few minutes of my first call to him until picking up my final piece just pure professionalism and honesty. I did not read the reviews prior but I am finding it hard to say something that is not been said already in every review. I had a "Buyer beware experience" with a diamond ring I purchased 11 months before meeting Dave. And I had a 52 year old gold ring my mom left me with a black heart shaped hematite. I wanted Dave to design something using the diamonds and heart that I would be able to wear every single day and not worry about it being precious! The final outcome was more beautiful and precious to me then anything I could of ever found in any jewelry store. I believe my mom would be as pleased as I am with our ring. I cannot thank Dave enough, I hope knowing its worn everyday is thanks enough!! Highly highly recommend Dave to anyone thinking of doing a custom jewelry job.

I just worked with David for the second time on a custom design. This was a Black Opal purchased in Australia. (Previously David had set my Boulder Opal in a beautiful pendant for me which is pictured on his website.).
David also did a rebuild of a ring that was my mother’s that was 61 yr old. The band was worn paper thin and the claws had all been rubbed down. David built it all up and restored to its original beauty and guaranteed the security of the stones for many years to come. The ring has great sentimental value and to see it how it was so many years ago has meant the world to me.
This time David set my stone in a ring and it is amazingly beautiful. He took his time fine tuning his original ideas, after I offered feedback and came back with a design even more beautiful and unique than I could have imagined. He was great about being honest about the challenges of finding the right gemstones for the accents on the side. Knowing the stone I originally wanted might not appear as clear and colourful in the size we would be using. We pivoted and he was great at giving me other options. I’m thrilled with the result. The Opal I bought was stunning and with David’s design we turned it into an amazing ring that really shows off its beauty.

I used to really enjoy Cosmic Adventure, especially because there was a quiet room for adults where I could relax and get some work done while the kids played. Unfortunately, that room has been removed. Now, music is playing loudly in every section, and each area has different tracks at the same time. Combined with the natural noise of children playing, it becomes overwhelming and even caused me a headache during my last visit.

I kindly suggest reducing the background music volume, or keeping it in one designated area only. It would also be wonderful if you could bring back a quiet room for parents, as it made the experience much more enjoyable for families.

Cosmic Adventures is an iconic Ottawa entertainment centre and you need to check it out! I am an experienced babysitter so I’ve brought many children here and they love it! It’s definitely for the younger age groups due to the smaller areas. There is a toddler area, regular structure, arcade, food area, and upstairs area for the younger age groups. The food is expensive so it’s best to get a yearly membership because you get free admission all year and discounts on food. You cannot bring outside food so keep that in mind! While the kids enjoy, I catch up on my emails as they do have free WiFi!

I played some of the arcade games with the kids and it was fun! More arcade games would be great! My only critique is I would love for them to renovate and make it more modern and make the food more affordable so families can enjoy the entertainment and not have to rush home or deuce elsewhere for food!

Attended a birthday party and was pleasantly surprised with excellent staff and service. The selection of arcade games and various jungle gym activities were also great. Party rooms were spacious and well arranged. Good infrastructure.

If you're looking for a jungle gym experience that transcends the mundane, Cosmic Adventures is it. Seriously, this place is a Mecca. Forget your average, run-of-the-mill play structures; we're talking a multi-tiered, labyrinthine wonderland that'll have your kids disappearing into a vortex of pure, unadulterated fun. My kids, ranging from tiny tots to a surprisingly enthusiastic 12-year-old, were absolutely mesmerized.
What struck me most? Beyond the sheer scale of the play area (which, let's be honest, is mind-boggling), was the cleanliness. You know how these places can sometimes feel...questionable? Not Cosmic Adventures. Every surface gleamed, every ball pit looked pristine, which is a massive relief when you're letting your kids loose in a whirlwind of shared play.
The sheer variety of activities is astounding. From slides that seem to defy gravity to tunnels that twist and turn into the unknown, there's something to capture every child's imagination. And for those of us who need a moment to catch our breath? The seating area is comfortable and offers a decent view of the chaos (in a good way!).
However, there's one significant drawback that needs to be addressed: the adult entry fee. Charging $13 plus tax for adults who are primarily there to supervise their children feels excessive. While I understand the push for season passes, it's not reasonable to expect every parent to commit to that. Paying over $55 for my child to play while my wife and I essentially stand and watch felt unfair. A significantly reduced rate for supervising adults would make the experience much more enjoyable and family-friendly.
Honestly, if you have kids up to 13, you need to experience Cosmic Adventures. It's not just a place to burn off energy; it's an adventure, a memory-maker, and a testament to how awesome indoor play spaces can be. Five stars for the kids' experience, but the adult pricing policy definitely needs a rethink.

If you have an energetic toddler or maybe even a crawling infant, you're really not gonna regret getting the yearly pass at cosmic adventures. It just doesn't make sense to come here just once or twice here and there when it is almost $40 every time for your kid and yourself. I think one annual membership is about $180 (this includes tax). With this, you can have two adults go in with your child. Honestly, this was money well spent. I think I've come to cosmic 1-3 times a week. And it's been a couple months already since I bought the membership. Do the math. No regrets here. Some tips. The place is cleaner in the morning understandably, so if you can actually get here, come earlier. The toddler section is on the second floor. There's another toddler area on the first floor, so you can spend some time there and then head upstairs. That way, your toddler may feel like they're at a new place and not get bored.

We had a wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their warmth and hospitality.

The natural beauty surrounding the resort is truly breathtaking—plentiful wildlife, lush scenery, and a peaceful atmosphere made for an unforgettable escape.

We especially enjoyed exploring the area by water, taking full advantage of the complimentary canoes and pedal boats for a relaxing afternoon adventure.

The dining experience was equally impressive. Every meal was delicious, with standout presentation and exceptional service. We loved the option to dine in our room or in the cozy dining area, where live music occasionally adds a special touch. The rotating menu offered something new to look forward to each day. Breakfast served in-room each morning was a delightful start to the day.

One of the highlights of our stay was the private hot tub on our balcony—pure bliss. Soaking in the warm water while overlooking nature was the perfect way to unwind. The in-room jacuzzi tub and fireplace added even more comfort and charm.

All in all, a truly memorable experience. We’re already looking forward to returning next year.

Our RETURN trip to Bear Trail Inn, August 2, 2025.
Driving into the resort, our first sight is the overgrown weeds, disgusting. The web site indicates this is for the environment, it isn't. You can't even walk around the grounds because the weeds have taken over. When we got married there 20 years ago the resort was gorgeous and very well maintained. It is obvious that the original owners took pride in the resort, not so much any more. I would not recommend this resort to anyone. There is also a $20 daily charge for parking, how are people supposed to get to the resort unless they drive, they is a money grabbing opportunity. The parking lot is not even paved, and it is up a hill, and it is not maintained.
I have been to this resort at least 5 times, and this will be the last visit. It is very sad that the current owners have taken a very lazy attitude towards the upkeep of what was a beautiful place to visit. The rooms are all very outdated, maybe they should take the parking money and update a room or two.

Beautiful resort and the location was amazing the staff members where very helpful. I would highly recommend staying in the chateaus they have everything you need for a relaxing trip and did I mention that you receive your breakfast in bed! The only thing that I would like to recommend is the resort grounds need some landscaping and more flowers in the high traffic area like the pool and in front of the Suites. I am a certified horticulturists and do agree with not cutting the grass in some locations. However I do think the guests would enjoy seeing more of that.

Disappointing Return Visit – Not Worth the Premium Price

I had high hopes returning to Couples Resort, especially with such fond memories from a previous visit—but unfortunately, this experience fell far short of expectations.

The meal options were extremely limited, and the food itself was mediocre at best. Despite providing clear instructions for dietary needs, the chef still didn’t get it right, and the portion sizes were incredibly small. For a place that markets itself as upscale and romantic, the dining experience felt more like an afterthought than a highlight.

The staff was pleasant, but not as exceptional or attentive as I remember. There was a noticeable drop in service quality compared to previous visits, which was disappointing given the premium rates.

But what really bothered me was the $20-per-night parking fee. After paying top dollar to stay at the resort, being charged extra just to park on-site felt like a cash grab. Where else are guests supposed to park? It’s the kind of nickel-and-diming that leaves a bad impression.

All in all, Couples Resort seems to have lost its charm, quality, and attention to detail. Sadly, it no longer feels worth the cost—and we won’t be returning.

My husband and I visited The Couples Resort for our anniversary this year. From the moment we entered the resort we experienced excellent customer service. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful when we had any questions or needed anything for our room.

We enjoyed lots of amenities including a heated outdoor pool that was perfect even for the chillier mornings, 90 minutes of free 8 hp motor boats per day which was awesome because we love to fish and brought our fishing gear with us, and the hot tub on our patio or spacious jetted tub in the room was the perfect way to end our evenings.

The dinner was incredible, one of the nights we stayed the daily creation was a venison tenderloin that I have not stopped raving about to friends and family. If you are having trouble choosing a starter I highly recommend you get the daily soup, each night we stayed the soup was absolutely delicious. I loved that breakfast was served as room service for a romantic breakfast in bed every morning. Their were plenty of breakfast options and everything we had was tasty and the perfect amount of food to get our morning going. It was so nice to have juice and a warm drink provided as well.

Lastly, the room was clean and beautiful. What more could you ask for than a wood burning fire place, spacious jacuzzi in the room, private hot tub, a gorgeous view of the lake, and a king sized bed?

This place is nice for entrepreneurs, small business, startups, modernized and repurposed old ottawa city building.

InvestOttawa and few startups are there. Lot of startup events happen sponsored by all 3 levels of government.

Beautiful space that felt welcome and yet cool with water bottle refilling and great light / airy feel. It was a nice place to hang out in.

The training with instructor David is not so clear and precise about his teaching. He is professional in his field but his teaching aspect needs to be improved, he just zoom through his teaching.

It's a good place to host medium-sized events.

Easy check in, check out. Clean large room. Quiet hotel. Would definitely stay there again. Bed was very comfortable. Only complaint is the room was colder than I like and I couldn't figure out how to use the thermostat at first. Suggestion: Instructions should be provided.

I've stayed here a couple of times and both times it was great. Nice spacious rooms and good service. They allowed me to securely store my bicycle in the room, which was great. My only criticism is the bistro lounge restaurant was frankly poor value. I ordered the Mac and cheese for dinner and what I got seemed like the size of a side dish, it wasn't satisfying. It did taste great so really all they need to do is make a slightly better value. I also felt like the breakfast was a bit pricey, given than many hotels give a similar value included in the price.

Stayed here last week. I had to check in pretty late (around 1 am), and the front desk person was ok during the check-in. However, when I got in my room, I saw a disgusting cockroach so I called front desk to inform them and ask for another room—what an unpleasant interaction! No apology at all, and I was made feel like I was being annoying for asking for something perfectly reasonable. I was moved to another room, but was not given internet access. I guess it was done in a rush, but it was definitely not what I expected from a Marriott hotel. Would not recommend.

This hotel is actually amazing! From the beginning with Junior checking me in, to staying there over the weekend. Junior was very professional, very helpful and doing the best to make sure I’m happy. The rooms are super spacious. Never had such a huge room in my life!!! And it isn’t even the upgraded room! Definitely will be retiring here

The only negative I have , is the elevators. They suck lol, but just leave 5 minutes before and you should be golden

We got moved to this hotel when the one we had originally booked had a flood. We were pleasantly surprised to see very nicely renovated rooms. They were very spacious and clean and you couldn't really hear anything from outside of the room! The staff at check-in we're lovely, and parking was very easy and close by

The staff were so nice and helpful, they offered us coffee and water! Yona helped us figure out which collection is best for us. The store was fun and interactive with fabric swatches and 3d models, but the second floor was not accessible for my mom because of the stairs. She didn’t get to see everything but she was happy.

Service at the pop up was very good. You can tell the staff was new but they were quite helpful. The store only has “some” models but enough to make a decision.

However shipping of the couch and chair we ordered was delayed - and forced us to rearrange schedules to be home for the day after it was due to arrive.

Not only that the base for one seat was the mislabeled and the wrong colour. Customer service was quick via chat and though a pain, sending off the wrong piece and ordering the next piece was relatively quick. BUT…. they sent the wrong piece once again. So 2 days to be home to ship off the wrong pieces, 2 days to receive the correct ones.

Finally got the right piece and was promised some kind of compensation after it was corrected and completed. Haha, nope. After getting daily follow ups when things were wrong, once the final piece arrived and a few follow ups by ME, ghosted. No response, no follow up or any offers of compensation (or even a discount on future items). I already sensed this was going to happen after their “happiness consultants” told me to wait, then “we” could sit back and assess the situation. LOL. Sure.

As for the product itself, it’s ok. Reminds me of Ikea stuff that will likely deform and flatten after a year or two and will look like college furniture eventually. Is it plush? Not really. They came out with a higher back version of this model just recently so maybe that would have been better but who knows. I have a feeling this will need to be replaced in 2 years when the cushion deform.

This will do for now but we will certainly look at other options for our other rooms. Too bad. We were hoping to consider other items with this company.

Extremely convenient way to test and set up your sofa. The rep who assisted us was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to offer solutions and suggestions. He made the difference between the models very clear and helped us figure out which one would be the best for us. We were on the fence before going there and were quite hesitant to purchase: not anymore. Highly recommend to visit if you want to have a feel of the sofas and test in person.

The store is nicely staged and very clean. Sales reps are very helpful and knowledgeable of items. They have some beautiful pieces.
Besides the modular sofas, I really appreciated the Vela Accent Chair; it felt like sitting on a cloud.

I had an amazing experience working with Noor! She was incredibly organized and always open to exploring new ideas to enhance my vision. She worked tirelessly on mock-ups for the backdrop until we were completely happy with the design. The balloon arches, backdrop decals, centerpiece balloons, and the balloons for the kids' table were all absolutely stunning! I would highly recommend working with her without hesitation.

It was perfect! I had made quite a large list of things I was hoping to see for my girlfriend’s Hello Kitty birthday cake, and they nailed every single one of those aspects. I was told that this was their first time making a carrot cake as well, but they absolutely nailed it. Everyone in the house was blown away by how good it looked and tasted.

The cake was a 10/10, the design was a 10/10, and the communication was clear, and very very transparent and helpful.

She was very kind and accommodating with timing for pick-up and even a last-minute order change, which I really appreciated. The cake design also came quite close to the inspiration photo I had shared.

That said, I did run into a few issues with the quality. The cake itself was nicely moist, but the whipped cream tasted more like a store-bought style vegetable cream, which wasn’t quite what I was hoping for. While serving, we unfortunately found a strand of colored hair in one slice, which understandably made guests hesitant. There was also some miscommunication regarding the filling. I was expecting chocolate icing between layers, but it turned out to be whipped cream with chocolate chips instead.

While I truly appreciate the effort and flexibility, overall the experience didn’t meet my expectations. For that reason, I personally wouldn’t return, but I hope this helps future customers in making their decision.

Sarah & Sarah did a phenomenal job photographing our wedding this June. They were professional, flexible, and friendly, and did a beautiful job capturing all the special moments throughout the day. Our brunch was gorgeous, the food was outstanding (we received many, many compliments), his staff anticipated our needs before we could even ask for anything, and everything ran like a well-oiled machine. I do not know how he does it, but he has clearly refined his craft.

The cheese bagels and blintzes were amazing, and the entire event was like a beautiful dream. David is exceptionally generous with the amount and variety of food.

It was my first experience with creative catering during an event and it was ecstatic! Their chicken is soo juicy and tender I felt so bad I didn't know about them earlier! Even my son who doesn't eat much chicken, ate a lot that evening!

We hired Culinary Conspiracy to cater a twenty person dinner in our backyard. They were full service - providing everything we needed - food, tables, chairs, linens, dishes, etc. Both our served appetizers and sit down dinner were delicious and portions were generous. Moishe was easy to work with and was very flexible to meet our needs. The serving staff was courteous , safe (masked) and impressed us when they served the kids table first. They went out of their way to make sure the kids were happy so the adults could be as well. Overall our whole family with happy with this caterer.

In August me and my wife had a wedding in our backyard, Moishe and his team took on a challenge of preparing a wedding with covid restrictions and did an amazing job. First Moishe was willing to update the menu numerous times and work with us to make our perfect menu, secondly his team was able to get us anything we requested when it came to rental equipment. During the event he and his team were exceptional, there wasn't a moment we felt like we or our guests needed anything. Amazing service if we host any big events in the future we will for sure do it with you guys.

Moishe and his team went out of their way to provide an amazing culinary experience for our office Christmas party of 18 people. From last minute booking and set up, to serving and clean-up, it was a seamless and highly professional experience. I had expected the servers to hand out hot cocktails only but they went out of their way to bring around all the cocktails and serve and refill all the food and drinks as well in the most professional manner I have experienced in my career. We ordered Moishe's Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner for ten persons and it was nothing short of outstanding. The meal started with 2 large containers of a great squash soup. The turkey was tender and moist, fully carved/sliced and ready to serve. The accompanying vegetables (mashed potatos, green beans) and stuffing were equally well prepared. Two containers of a tasty and velvety gravy, more than enough to go around, completed the main course. Best of all, and in spite of the fact that 3 of the persons at the dinner were teenagers, there were lots of leftovers for the traditional post-Thanksgiving hot turkey sandwiches and fried rice. Well done Moishe! We are looking forward to trying your Christmas dinner.

My wife and I got married at the Cumberland Belle in May this year (2025). We knew it was going to be our venue as soon as we met Manal for the tour last year. The outdoor area was perfect for the small, nature-surrounded wedding we wanted. And the inside of the old church was beautiful and just the right amount of space. Overall, it was exactly the right place to host our most special day.

The venue was absolutely beautiful and had such a great vibe. The staff were super helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. They really took care of us and made the whole experience easy and stress-free. Would definitely recommend!

Exactly what we were looking for! The venue is gorgeous and was perfect for our wedding of ~70 people. We wanted somewhere we could take advantage of the beautiful fall foliage and also where we could bring our own catering, bar, etc. As soon as we saw the Belle we knew it was perfect! Even though it rained and we didn’t end up using the outdoor ceremony space, we couldn’t be happier with how the day went. Manal and Michael were super easy to deal with during the planning and set up process. Highly recommend!

If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would! This was an outstanding venue for my friend’s bridal shower. it has beautiful lighting and was perfectly spacious for the amount of guests that were hosted. Definitely a place I would recommend for intimate gatherings and celebrations!

I am beyond happy with the Cumberland Belle. Gorgeous venue with stain glass windows. The owners were more than happy to answer any of my questions which make booking as smooth as possible.
When I booked, the venue included chairs, tables, audio equipment, outdoor seating, and a wooden arch for an outdoor ceremony.

The venue had a separate entrance for the catering crew as well as a kitchen with a fridge which can in handy for storing the reception snacks and keeping drinks chilled.

Lastly, being able to ring the church bell after getting married was the highly of our wedding!

Tammy did an incredible job on our wedding invitations, menus, and thank-you cards. The designs were stunning, filled with thoughtful details and personal touches, and we received so many compliments from our guests. Exceptional service from start to finish, we can’t recommend Daisy Design highly enough!
