For any brides looking for their dress, I can't recommend L&L enough. Before I arrived, Kelsey had set aside dresses that were within my price range and the styles I had mentioned. She made my family feel super welcome and gave me the space to voice how I felt about each dress. I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision! She even suggested alterations that could be made if I wanted to personalize a dress (adding capped sleeves for instance) and when I found the one, she had the veil ready to create the perfect "yes" moment! Love and Lee is such a beautiful shop in our downtown core! The clothes are always gorgeous and perfectly curated, and I feel like I find something special every time I stop in. But honestly, what makes it even better is the owner Kelsey. She is so warm, welcoming, and genuinely cares about making you feel good while you shop. It never feels rushed or transactional, it feels like visiting a friend who happens to have the best taste in clothes. I can’t recommend this boutique enough! 💕

Love and Lee somehow manages to offer a high end experience with a casual, cozy feel. The curated options in this homey boutique are beautiful, chic, and well made, with many different styles that appeal to everyone. They routinely offer some elevated staple pieces, while regularly bringing in new stock so you can get clothes for any occasion or season. The staff are attentive, hard working, and friendly, and always open to answering questions or trying some items on so you know exactly how something looks and fits on different body types. This local gem is a must stop in downtown Cornwall, or you can easily order online through their website. However you choose to shop, you'll feel the Love.

I had the best experience with both Kelsey and Juliette. Kelsey messaged me prior to my appointment (she was able to book me in super quickly!) to get a better understanding of the style/inspo I was looking for. She actually sent me a photo of one of their dresses that ended up being my dream dress! I had been to two other bridal stores prior to Love and Lee, and my experience at Love and Lee was above and beyond the other stores I had gone to.
I was greeted by Juliette for my appointment and she made the experience so calm, welcoming and positive with her sweet and bubbly personality!
She helped me pick out dresses to try on and when I tried on my dream dress, she made me feel so confident! The store itself is so beautiful & these ladies really do their best to help make your appointment go as smooth as possible.

The biggest regret I often hear is brides and grooms not hiring a videographer. And am I ever happy we booked LLWF! We have not yet received our full video and we are amazed from our teaser video and the mini instagram video they have posted. Now we patiently* wait ;)

I had Lovely Light Films shoot video with two cameras for all aspects of my wedding. And my wife and I could not be more happy. Such a wonderful experience at Lovenote Bride - Ottawa!

I have been following Lovenote on social media for a while and had looked at the gowns online multiple times, and I am so happy that I booked an appointment during a trip to Ottawa. The customer service is amazing; Lara made sure to make me feel comfortable every step of the way, had great advice and was super understanding. The boutique is magical and I felt pretty in all the gowns. I love how you can customize, and mix and match bodices and skirts, and fabrics. I was lucky to buy a sample dress, and the discount was greater than what I've seen in other boutiques for sample dresses. Also, the instructions for caring for the dress were so detailed, they really exceeded my expectations!

I recommend to all brides, but especially to those who may have struggled with their body image or have had challenging previous wedding dress shopping experience(s), because for me, Lovenote is not only where I bought my wedding dress, but also where I managed to embrace my body and feel beautiful.

Recently, my husband and I celebrated major birthdays with family and friends (total of 45 guests). LucieECooking Inc. provided all of the appetizers, cheeses, crackers, etc. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We highly recommend her fine food.

Chef Jennifer whipped up an incredible birthday dinner for my partner and I this past winter. We still talk about the food, even months later; the menu was very creative, platted beautifully, and, most importantly of all, delicious.

Luly is amazing!

I brought my wedding dress to her after the first place I brought it for alterations messed up my dress. She was able to squeeze me in one month before my wedding and fix all of the issues with my dress. Without her my dress would have looked awful.

My mom had ordered a special and personalized gift from Lux Berry & Bloom for her friend that has cancer, she was stunned by it!! It was a beautiful round box with red roses around the inside and in the middle it had a assortment of chocolate covered strawberries that were different colors. On the outside of the box it was personalized with the saying "Jesus Take The Wheel". That is her friends saying that gives her strength and hope. It was such a beautiful and unique gift, she loved it so much and she got so many compliments on it. Also, it came from Ottawa to Peterborough by car in a cooler and was still so fresh and beautiful. Suzan is very talented and strives for perfection in everything she makes, absolutely perfect, can't thank her enough!!

Amazing experience! Highly recommended

They were over 2 hours late delivering chairs for my wedding ceremony. My wedding coordinator started calling them at 2 pm and they were ignoring her call. They arrived at 3:15 pm and the ceremony was at 3:30 pm. No apology or explanation as to why they were so late. Not to mention that they didn’t even set up a single chair, my guests were the ones left with the task. So dissatisfied with the service I will NEVER be using this company again.

We recently visited Luxe Bistro. The overall impression was okay. There were three of us, including a child. Our child chose from the kids’ menu, while the two adults selected the prix fixe menu.We both started with the French onion soup. For the main courses, one of us ordered the crispy duck leg and the other had the New York steak. The duck was a little dry, and while the steak was cooked as requested (well done), the taste did not really impress, especially considering this is a steakhouse. We were expecting a bit more flavor from the meat.
On the positive side, the service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive, and the food arrived very quickly.
Overall, I would rate this experience 4 stars. I’m not sure if I will return, but I believe the restaurant still deserves recognition for its good service and efficiency.

The venue is cozy and relaxing with seating outside, inside, and there is a bar area.
Apart from regular tables there are cozy booths.
Background music was not too overwhelming, which was nice. We could keep a low table conversation.

Ordered a variety of foods for starters.
Started with the oysters and mussels.
Price per oyster was a little high but worth it. As for the mussels, they were amazing.

Due to the variety of food that was ordered for the table, I'm just getting a general consensus from the table of the satisfaction and value for money.
Salad was good and a decent portion.
There was not a single complaint about the food!

Food presentation was done with detail.

The staff:
The staff were very tentative and always checked on the table. Felt like we had 3 dedicated servers for our table at some stages.
The table stayed clean.
What was appreciated was that our cutlery was also replaced after our starters.
Another observation is that tables are cleaned rapidly after customers leave, thus improving the overall presentation of the restaurant.
Washrooms:
The washrooms are clean and fresh.

Due to the fact that it's not wheelchair friendly I can't give 5 star rating.

Came for their happy hour and the food was sooo delicious! Got the sliders and the mussels - the mussels are so worth it but the sliders are a bit on the smaller side (still yummy tho and I’d get again). My server James was so great too he gave me free bread to dip with the mussel sauce 🥳🥳

While wandering Ottawa we stopped here because we were hungry. We stayed on the patio.
We arrived at happy hour - so they had the drinks at a lower price. I had an Aperol Spritz which was nice. My husband had ginger ale.
For food I took the roasted chicken from the à la carte menu. I didn’t find it too flavorful. The mashed potatoes, the Bruxelles sprouts and the mushroom sauce though were very good. Only the meat wasn’t on my taste.
The hamburger my husband had was delicious. And we switched the usual fries with trouffle potatoes (which we saw at a table next to us).
The waiter was very nice, he was checking on us multiple times to be sure we had everything we needed.
Overall the experience was good.

Rich, melted cheese soaked into soft baguette with the sweetness of caramelized onions, creating a comforting bite.

The tangy-sweet apple compote paired beautifully with the savory smoked duck leg — though not deboned, the meat was tender and flavorful. The crisp braised red cabbage added a refreshing crunch, rounding out the dish with layered textures. Ottawa’s top three duck confit!!

We just found this place walking out of the cinema. We loved the pink flowery decor. Went in for a drink. Had to wait for a bit as quite a few people decided to walk-in and o my one person working. My friends pink hot chocolate was barely warm. I had the crimson cocktail which I enjoyed and another friend had the Chai Latte Tea which she enjoyed. Next time we will try the sweet treats

We came here as a group of 11 people, we preordered a few days before. We came of the aesthetics and vibes, but I was really disappointed. The waiter was right behind me serving coffee for some and I was trying to tell her my order but she kept ignoring me until she put everyone's coffee on the table, I thought it was rude, she could have just asked me to wait. The sandwiches came cold, although they tasted good but were cold, unfortunately. The choclate brownie was so dry could not eat it, the matcha strawberry cake was also not good, no one finished their dessert. I asked for a sweetner for my coffee, which you would expect they would have as a coffee shop, but they only had regular sugar. Very disappointing.

The owner, Michelle was so amazing and accommodating. Two friends and I came in with a request and she did everything possible to make it special for us. Everything we had was incredible, service was warm and kind, and the ambiance / design of the space was gorgeous. We were visiting from out of town and are so glad we were able to experience it!

We did the Pink Tower Experience for Mothers Day. The ambiance and decor in the cafe was lovely. I truly loved that everything including food and drinks was pink. The flower bouquet we got with our booking was an amazing value for the money. It was absolutely beautiful ! Our only complaints were with the service, it was not overly busy and the service was very slow and the servers were not very pleasant. We were also supposed to get scones included with our tower and they had none left. You would think they would have planned ahead to ensure they had enough for all reservations ?? All aside I’d like to return to try their cocktails

A charming little café — totally Instagrammable! I had the chai latte and the luxe breakfast, and both were absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and happy to customize everything to our preferences. While the space is on the smaller side, my friends and I had no trouble finding seats for Sunday brunch. It’s a cozy spot to relax, conveniently located in the heart of downtown with plenty of sights within walking distance.

I brought a dress here very last minute for graduation and she got it done in under 3 days. I was beyond impressed with the result, I have never had a dress fit me this well. She even told me she hand stitched the entire hem to make sure it would be invisible. She is very kind and accommodating, the service was wonderful!

10/10! Blindly trusted Loan with Louis Vuitton jeans worth nearly $3,000. She did a phenomenal job and was so proud to show me her incredible precision when aligning the pattern with the hem to match how the garment is sold (and rightfully so, she nailed it.) She was so sweet and professional, and understands the value of luxury brands without having to say a word. I had requested my scrap material which she gladly provided, and the alterations were exactly what I had asked for. I hesitantly dripped off my jeans on a very busy Saturday afternoon, and they were ready to be picked up at lunchtime on Tuesday. Only a fraction of what I expected to pay for this attention to detail; I have paid more to get a name embroidered on an apron. Loan is SO great at what she does, and I will most certainly be back again!! Thank you!! 🫶🏻

Loan Mai truly saved my day! Came in for an emergency tailoring for my civil ceremony dress that was less than 2 days later! She was so sweet and patient with me during the fitting, and made me feel such at ease. She even got it pressed for me, so it was it completely ready to go for the next morning. Fantastic alteration services! My daughter needed her sports team outfit adjusted for a better fit, and I honestly wasn’t sure it could even be done. I walked into Lynn’s Tailoring, and to my surprise, they completed the alterations within the hour—and at a very reasonable price. The results were perfect! What an amazing experience! My sister (the bride) felt so seen and heard. Connie was incredible. She explained each designer and the kind of dress they make. She gave amazing advice and pulled great choices based on what my sister had picked out.
There are so many beautiful dresses to pick from and Connie was so helpful with trying them on and giving pep talks. It is INCREDIBLE how inclusive their sizes are (for bigger girls like us, this shop had most in a 10&12, so you could actually see how they fit. And they have a nice selection mini dresses for other bridal events as well as bridesmaids dresses.
They had tea and water. They let you try on as many as you want (even going over the time limit with us because they had the space). They let you take pictures. They are amazing.
Out of all the stores we’ve been to, this has been by far the best. I will compare all other bridal store experiences to this one. 10/10!!

Absolutely wonderful customer service and amazing selection! This was the first store I went to for my bridal gown and they were so helpful, I found my dress after just a few tries!
I chose the Ophelia dress, custom-made to my size. It was light-weight and comfortable, perfect for an August wedding, and it looked great in all the photos! I would highly recommend Nathalie and her team to help you find your dream dress!

I had the absolute best experience at Ma Chérie Bleue, after having had several other appointments at other bridal boutiques. I would recommend this boutique to every single bride to be.

The selection of dresses is vast, and they are all beautiful and of high quality. I found many unique dresses that I had not seen anywhere else.

All of the dresses are available to the client to see and feel, and the prices are indicated. While the person working with you will certainly help look for dresses based on your description, you can see every single dress and pick out yourself the ones you'd like to try on. Also, all the dresses are shown on the website, which is very helpful. It is also useful to note that some of the designers they carry allow you to modify your dress in production, which allows you to customize your dress but also to reduce the cost of your alterations.

The atmosphere is wonderful. You are alone in the boutique, which makes it feel cozy and intimate, and you can try on all the dresses you want. It is clear that the person helping you, as well as the owner, know what they're talking about and what they are doing and are truly motivated to help you.

The real gem of this boutique, however, is the owner, Nathale. I have never met anyone like her, and I would not want to buy such an important dress from anyone else. She has a friendly and very fun personality, but more importantly, she really knows dresses. She was able to help me customize my dress to make it fit my vision and my body. I couldn't possibly have more faith in someone for the job.

They really care about your experience, they will go above and beyond to help you make sure your dress is just right for you and that you have everything you need to feel confident and secure when making your final choice. My brother in law stayed for 2 days he was going to stay for 2 months, he would have been better sleeping in his car so far he’s giving them $1500+ on a dump, bath room was disgusting the guy organizing the place would not give a refund not even a part refund. He didn’t feel safe there and that he could hear the every outside didn’t get an hour of sleep the last two days. Unbelievable the disrespect and how unclean everything was!

If you’re looking to stay in a location that is not far from the airport or the city, then look no further and book a stay at MAC B&B! When we arrived late in the evening, we were greeted by someone who turned out to be a talented, intelligent, and committed celebrity and musician. He made us feel like we were at home, wonderful hospitality and service.

Will be definitely coming back many more times to MAC B&B and I highly encourage you do too!

This is the worst room reservation I have ever made in my life
There was no fan and the air condition is not working properly, I had to start fanning myself with my shirt when it was hot in the night. The door frame in the room was falling, there was no remote control to operate the televion provided. The fridge that was in the room was dirty and the duvet that was supposed to be sparkling white or white was off white due to over use. The worst of it is that from the moment you enter the facility you were been monitored.

Smells like Lysol, room had garbage that was not emptied, toilet roll was nearly empty and there were two shower loofahs from previous guests (?) from who knows how long. I felt very uncomfortable here, and there was a dim red light in the room, with massage tables folded at the end of the bedroom. I asked for a refund as I did not end up staying for the nights I booked, and was told I could not get a refund from the owner. I ended up leaving and staying somewhere else.

Wonderful host. 5 stars for his hospitality, friendliness and approachability. He goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable which is appreciable. It was my first trip to Ottawa but didn't felt like one. That's the beauty of Mac b and b. Before entering the premise it looks like any other house over there, but Mushfiq's sir's musical abode in basement is the game changer. His music is like a food for the soul. Definitely recommend this place.

I was very comfortable dealing with the team at Made In Canada Gifts. I was able to find a piece from an artist I had seen at a gallery and was ecstatic for that.

The true joy for me however was the exceptional customer service and personal touch to ensure client satisfaction.

I will continue to use this art dealer for gift giving and for my own home.

I went to the store on two separate occasions and on both occasions I had a wonderful experience. The person who made my experience wonderful was the clerk was working on both occasions. She was a beautiful dark skin thin young lady… I’m really sorry I forgot your name! I am from Ottawa and when I travel I always buy gifts there to bring to my friends are abroad. The first time I bought smoked salmon in a wooden box with Inuit art on it. The second time I bought two bottles of large maple syrup with some maple butter. The young lady who’s served me was so pleasant and patient with me. She even googled for me if it was allowed to bring smoked salmon on a plane. She made pleasant conversation with me and when I bought the maple syrup she went through the effort of wrapping them carefully so they don’t break when I put them in my luggage. The store is beautiful. They have amazing beautiful souvenirs and artwork. There is another store downstairs not affiliated to them but just not as good. I did compare the prices and although this store is much more high end,the prices are much better. Not to mention they have way better things. More creative and beautiful things. I was looking everywhere in Ottawa for the smoked salmon with the Inuit art on the box. I was very stunned when I found it at the store but pleasantly surprised. To the young lady working at the counter again I am sorry I forgot your name but you are amazing. From now on I know where to go to buy my souvenirs from Ottawa.

Just found this great online store, everything Made In Canada, that's exactly what we were looking for. The best online shopping experience we have ever had. Placed an online order for a bunch of company gifts, the person with whom I spoke to when I needed to double check something (sorry, I missed your name), was extremely pleasant and helpful.. I arranged pick-up at the Rideau store. Beautiful place with really nice products. Friendly staff as well.
My only qualm is that the hours posted on-line didn't match the store. My Google search stated 9:00 (but the store actually opened at 10am). You should update that :)

My experience at Magpie Jewelry was absolutely fantastic. I came in looking to design an engagement ring, and Cathi's genuine enthusiasm and expertise made the entire process a joy. She was incredibly helpful, offered great suggestions, and truly listened to what I envisioned. The result is a stunning ring that my fiancé absolutely loves! Went to get my engagement ring resized here last week, overall very good service! Everyone I saw today and last week were all very friendly and helpful! I felt bad having to take a phone call and run off. Thank you for your help everyone! I love being able to wear my ring without worry now!

This company is very unorganised. Bank street come off kind and soft spoken however nothing gets done and everyone is deer in headlights they don’t communicate and it’s as if manager is some big shot that can’t be bothered talking to you about issue.
The issues never get resolved. Brush you off like you’re trash.

If you want a gift or piece for a specific date make sure you order a month+ ahead of time!!!! The time date they provide is false, no follow up either to allow you to know you’re going to attend empty handed with no gift. Or no piece for that special occasion.
You will also have run after them to get things done.

I understand one bad review won’t mean anything… and will be laughed off. So take it as you will.

My friends and I came here to get permanent bracelets and Sarah was SO helpful, kind and patient with us as we decided which chains to pick. She let us try different sizes to decide which we preferred, gave suggestions on which bracelets suited us best, and was lovely to chat with. If I could give her 6 stars, I would 🤍

Fantastic experience purchasing a new watch. I was not looking to purchase anything the day of my visit. I was just "talking watches" when I asked if they ever received a particular model of a Tudor watch I was interested in. The very helpful sales associate let me know they had one in the back and asked if I would like to try it on. 20 mins later I had purchased a new watch and I couldn't be happier. Came in for a urgent request to readjust my watch bracelet and Elaine was not just accommodating but warm and welcoming! She took care of it right away! Would definitely consider purchasing from the store, just from the way the staff took care of me!!

I have been going to Maison Noi since they’ve opened and Robin, the owner has been cutting my hair since the beginning. He came highly recommended, teaches hair styling at Algonkin College and is the best stylist I’ve ever had. My wife always loves my hair. The most consistent stylist I’ve ever had and hope to keep.

Hsawmo Shine did such a good job on my hair! I booked an apprentice cut and I'm very happy with the outcome! My hair is very thick and she did an excellent job at cutting layers. She is very talented and I will definitely be booking with her again in the future. :)

Fantastic experience with hair stylist Haesol! I booked a curly cut and it was obvious she knows the nuisances of curls. She gave me the exact cut I was looking for to freshen up while keeping as much length as possible. She was easy to talk with and delivered exceptional service.
The salon atmosphere is bright and welcoming, with an abundance of live plants. It's easy to drive to and has ample parking lot parking.

I’ve known Robin and Emilie for 10 years now when they were both working at another salon and I followed them at Maison Noi. I’ve always enjoyed the experience and my haircut there.
