Fabulous company to work with! They were so flexible when I needed to make changes and add more items, and everything looked absolutely beautiful on our wedding day. I highly recommend them for stress-free rentals and excellent service.

With only a few weeks notice, due to constantly changing pandemic restrictions, Mandy, Jen & Scott of MME were amazing to work with, and went out of their way to help us plan the perfect day. They captured photos and did mock ups of the rental items, they were always patient - answering all of our questions - and politely put up with our multiple changes and revisions. Everything arrived ahead of time and was picked up on time. We can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond for us and we will continue to highly recommend Mastermind Events.

Everything was amazing, they made our dreams come true! MME went above and beyond for our wedding. Our linens, chairs, decor and cutlery were stunning. Service was impeccable with set up and pick up. Every step in the planning process wasn't just easy, it was so much fun to work with them. They worked with our ideas, and even provided some magical decor combos that were breathtaking and brought our venue to life. I cannot recommend MME enough. My friend and I went to Mati this past Saturday for my birthday! This restaurant has been on my summer to do list and I’m so glad we visited.
The only thing I would change would be our seating, we were right next to the patio door and my friend was interrupted all night by staff and patrons walking past her chair as she shuffled to accommodate each passing.

The service was great and the food was beautifully presented, the taste of each dish and cocktail was unique and well crafted. We both will be returning soon - thank you Mati 😊

I was really impressed with my recent visit. It was the first visit for a friend and I, and we were both thrilled with our food. The cocktails were inspired and well executed, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was attentive and balanced. I was really impressed with the decor as well; I had initially thought based on the photos that it might have felt a bit cold with all the white tiles but balance of wood, brick and other patterns really blended together to create a beautiful space. Well done on all fronts. Definitely recommend.

Nice menu selection, good service, and a pleasant space with group seating options both inside and on the patio. The cocktail list is creative and appealing. Prices feel a bit high for the portion sizes.

Mati went above and beyond for my birthday dinner. They set up my group in a nice big table by the window and had a birthday card set up for me as we arrived. The food was great and the service was what really stood out. My friend ordered the Wagyu burger and it took a long time for it to arrive but the server offered him some bread while he waited. We had no complaints and didn’t mind the wait. At the end, they comped his burger on the bill to make up for the wait and I think that was a really great gesture!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary, and it was our first time at Mati. We were very happy with our choice, as every little detail made the evening special. The food was amazing, and they even placed a “Happy Anniversary” note on our table. The owners personally came over to wish us a happy anniversary, which made the experience even more memorable. Attentive service and an unforgettable evening!

Always excellent service. Dolly is so lovely, friendly, and caring. She does an amazing job with my AuDHD son's hair, and is always very patient and attentive with him. The salon is always clean and well-maintained.

I have been going to this hair salon since my teens. I have never ever been disappointed with Atallahs great work. He truly is a hair magician. He is very friendly, and professional! He is an expert & knows the latest trends. This salon is on top of the list if you want to walk away looking great & feeling satisfied.

I won’t get my hero cut anywhere else! Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. My hair is curly, so it’s been a bit of a struggle to find someone who doesn’t cut it too short, but Dolly is the best hair dresser I’ve been to! I’ve even brought a friend to cut his hair here and he’s now a regular.

Family owned and run by an amazing couple. Both are skilled at what they do, friendly and inviting, all the while efficient. I have been for cuts, blowdries, wedding styles and hair colors - all are always done to perfection. My husband gets his hair cut here as well and is never disappointed. Amazing service all around.

They serve a variety of hot and iced coffees, and the Turkish one was good, although I’ll ask it stronger next time.

Saw a recommendation about this place on YouTube and it was a fabulous breakfast spot. The eggs Benedict were tasty with a little kick and the potatoes were crunchy.

Had a latte with a honey shot of espresso which was perfect if you are a person that adds sugar to your coffee.

The service was also lovely. The pancakes are sweet and had a great bite to them. Definitely recommend this place!

The best food experience I have had in a long time. Ordered: Turkish coffee, Shish Tawook Club Sandwich with fries and a side of greens, Yuzu refresher. There is a bit of a wait as each table seems to be prepared separately and the wait is worth it. The Turkish coffee was really good. The sandwiches absolutely out of the world. The bread was toasted to perfection and the flavours of everything on the sandwich combined so perfectly. The fries were cooked to crispy perfection as well and even the greens were dressed with a dressing that was so good. The Yuzu refresher paired perfectly with the sandwich. The server was delightful and helpful. Definitely recommend this restaurant and I will go back.

What a beautiful hidden gem. We were looking for a brunch spot and the larger restaurants weren’t jumping out to us. We ordered the mimosa for 2, it easily could have served 4 (not upset by this what great value!!!)! The avocado toast was packed with flavour and the perfect amount of food to not be over stuffed. The presentation was beautiful, unlike some reviews I had seen at other spots where the food looks nothing like the photos in the menu. Every dish that passed us looked delicious! Thank you Sophie for your exceptional service! Loved the atmosphere. If we lived here we would be back!

Nice place. Friendly service. A great twist on classic brunch foods. Portions were perfectly sized for me but others may want to order more than one plate. I had the ultimate toast and a pistachio latte

Fantastic stay at McGee's Inn! The building is lovely and extremely well-cared for. Our room was comfy, clean and cozy (we stayed in the Victorian Room on the third floor). I was pleasantly surprised at how well the A/C worked given being on the third floor in the summer time, the temperature stayed very comfortable and I appreciated we could control it as well.

Parking is only $10 and on site which was very convienient. The breakfast here is INCREDIBLE. The crepes were the best I've ever had (see photo), and the omelette very well done as well. The service was spectacular, everyone was so friendly. Walking distance from many of the Ottawa sights and in a beautiful historic neighbourhood with lots of historical houses. Do not think twice about booking here - we will absolutely stay again next time we are in town.

I have never stayed in an inn before because I thought it wouldn’t be good but wow I have been proven wrong with this place.

The staff is very friendly because my flight was very delayed and they allowed me check in over the phone. My bag was delayed by day the staff left me note about how to get from them.

The breakfast is homemade plus freshly made which is huge benefit in my opinion.

I would stay here again in heart beat and would recommend it.

Of all the places we stayed during our family roadtrip in Canada, this was my favorite. We stayed in the family bedroom and had a cot to accommodate both kids. Since we also had access to the living room downstairs, there was plenty of space for us.
Check-in was easy, parking on-site was invaluable, there's a grocery store down the block, the area is quiet but within walking distance to Parliament, the National Museum of Art, the cathedral, and Byward Market -- all of which we walked to visit in one day. The owner and staff both struck up lovely conversations and made us feel the most welcome of anywhere we stayed. They also held our luggage after check-out so we could explore the city without leaving luggage in the car. I can't recommend this place enough and was SO glad we found it.

We had room 12, which was quiet, clean and decorated in 1950s turquoise. Breakfast was good. Location excellent for visiting National Gallery, Parliament, Ottawa Art Gallery, Byward market

What a wonderful and unique stay! We stayed for three nights and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. This is a beautiful old home, so if you are not used to creaky floorboards, this may not be the place for you, but provide great character and history of the home.

Our room was well stocked with bathroom amenities, and they assured our TV was functioning (although we did not need it). A/C was functioning well during our stay and the room stayed cool while we were out.

Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. They provide you various options for breakfast and served you at your table (see pictures). Each breakfast was delicious and warm.

We will be returning to the Inn when we come back to Ottawa.

SO GOOD! Food was absolutely delicious. Had a pound of brisket, pound of wings, smoked beans and a Mac and Cheese, between two people. We were stuffed!

I'm not a fan of beans but these were great. The sauce on the Buffalo wings was divine. I was literally licking it off because it was so good.

Orleans is lucky to have such a great Bbq spot - and located in a local brewery. Can't wait to be back!

Now that was FOOD! Omg wow! I've always wanted to try Meatings but never got it. We had a family gathering today, and our dinner was catered by Meatings. Everything was extraordinary. My mouth is still watering, thinking of it. Ribs,( whixh cane with different sauces as well, i had mine dry and it was still excellent) chicken, pork, beans, cornbread. These were THE BEST beans I've ever had! And I'm not a big fan of beans, but I would have those any day again, and many of my relatives thought the same. I will definitely be going to eat there again and again, and I would recommend anyone who likes a good rib and good Meat!

We recently had Meatings cater our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. They provided food for our cocktail hour, dinner, and late-night snack, and everything was exceptional. From the start, their team was helpful, responsive, and flexible guiding us through the planning process with ease. Their online portal made the contract easy to reference and was great for payment detail.

The food itself was incredible, flavourful and perfectly cooked. We received so many compliments from our guests throughout the night. One thoughtful touch we especially appreciated was that they packed up leftovers for us to enjoy the next day.

We recently hired Meatings Barbecue for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner, and they absolutely exceeded our expectations in every way.

From the very first consultation, their team was responsive, professional, and genuinely passionate about making our event a success. They worked closely with us to tailor a menu that suited our tastes and budget, and every detail was handled with care.

Everything about Med Supper Club is top notch. From start to finish, we were taken care of. The food was magnificent, the chef event sent out an off menu appetizer for us to taste. The owner came over and check on us a couple times. This place is a must try, I highly recommend. We will definitely be back everytime we are in Ottawa.

The service and ambiance were absolutely top-notch ,the vibe of the place is really enjoyable and well thought out.

That being said, I was disappointed with the food. For a fine cuisine setting, I had much higher expectations. The dishes tasted very average, nothing bad, but honestly similar to what you’d find at a below-average restaurant. The flavors didn’t match the elegance of the space and overall experience.

Overall: I’d recommend it for the ambiance and service, but if you’re going in with high expectations for food, you might be left wanting more.

Been there for the first time last week for friend's Birthday celebration. Was pleasantly surprised by service, ambiance and food! The waiter was very attentive to details and all requests were quickly done. My friends and myself very liked the food, even bit cold mashed potatoes didn't ruined my impression! Definitely planing to come back! Wish there more places like this in Ottawa!

Finally made it to this Mediterranean restaurant (the Med) I’d been eager to try—Happy Mother’s Day to me!
We kicked things off with some lovely cocktails—mine featured pear liqueur—and a few tasty amuse-gueules.
We shared three types of oysters, each paired with unique and flavorful sauces. For mains, it was rack of lamb and salmon (mine!), both beautifully presented with top-notch accompaniments. The ambiance? Truly exceptional. Now I understand what all the buzz was about—no complaints here

We went there for a birthday. The service was fast and good the prices match the luxury of the place. They do offer a complementary bite which is a nice gesture. The food was good but not exceptional to match the luxury the place is trying to advertise. Honestly for the price I would eat somewhere else for cheaper price tastier food. The halloumi salad needed more sauce. The salmon was very small portion and the kale was not the best option.

Very friendly staff. The sales associate went in to the front display window to get the bag I wanted off the mannequin no problem. My first time shopping there and it was a great experience.

We just spent 2 nights there while visiting family, and had a fantastic experience. The room was clean and comfortable, there were no issues with my service dog, and Michael made sure we had his cell number in case we needed anything. Absolutely will stay there again!

A very cozy, clean and well furnished apartment situated walking distance to everything in town. We loved our weekend here and highly recommend it! 😀

The suite was extremely comfortable and clean. Michael was an excellent host and had even left cream and juice in the fridge. The accomodation had everything that you would need including Michael's cell phone number if you wanted anything. The location was perfect for shopping.

The place was exactly as advertised. Clean and spacious suite located in the heart of this small town. Check in process was seamless all done via email. Safe and convenient parking spot is included. Lots of nice touches by the owner including complimentary teas and healthy snacks. Would definitely stay at the Merrickville Guest Suites again.

This place was home away from home. Thank you to Michael for the lovely touches and for having us feel comfortable. Everything is so close, absolutely a great town for local artisan shopping. And there’s The local cafe, The Vanilla Bean which is a few doors down, so definitely a good weekend getaway. I’d love to come back in the summer.

Catherine was very professional and did a wonderful job officiating our wedding! Her calm demeanour and humour made us feel more relaxed at the altar. There was a mix-up with our rings as well (the wrong person was holding them) and she helped make sure it was resolved before the ceremony began. Would highly recommend her!

Catherine was amazing! She was our officiant for an at home wedding in August 2025. We would not have wanted anyone else presiding over our ceremony. We found Catherine online and took a leap of faith after our first meeting. It was the best decision as she handled everything and eliminated so much stress. Our wedding was fully bilingual (french and english) and she executed it seamlessly. Everyone there felt included regardless of their first language. We are so happy to have met her and would highly recommend her services!

We want to sincerely thank Catherine for making our wedding ceremony so special. We had a small, intimate celebration with just family, and she went above and beyond to help us find the perfect spot for it. Catherine was wonderfully organized, punctual, and had everything prepared — all we had to do was arrive and enjoy the moment. As a thoughtful extra touch, she even offered to take a few family photos at the end, which we’ll treasure. Went there for dinner for the first time last night and it did not disappoint.
The energy from downtown on the warm summer day made it pleasant to sit on the patio in the late afternoon.
Service was very good. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the different dishes and made very good recommendations.
We all enjoyed our meals. From steak sandwich (with au jus), to ravioli, drinks and dessert everything was delicious.

Great vibe, friendly attentive accommodating staff—and honest about what’s worth ordering (and what might not be to your tastes!) Can host large groups and receptions. Great location! and large outdoor patio. The croque monsieur was really good, but my friend had the mussels and I was jealous. Sweet potato fries were exceptional (and I try them everywhere).

First time eating here, I came with my sister under her recommendation, and I am not disappointed!

I ordered their steak sandwich and she ordered the vegetable sandwich, both are worth the money and both are delicious! You get a choice of either fries or salad with your choice of sandwich. Their vegetable sandwich is very light and herbaceous while their steak sandwich is very savoury and filling!

Service was fast, the both of us were treated very well! We didn’t wait long to get food and drink, didn’t wait to get seated and orders taken.

Definitely recommend for lunch, their lunch menu has a range of options!

We were hungry when explored downtown and decided to try this restaurant. Turned out very nice. We sat in patio, Good meals, decent size, good service. Coffee is good too. Just a minor inconvenient, the young server who served our meals didnt know our meals’ name and randomly put on our table. A lil bit confusion and mixed up but everything sorted out after we asked our real server. Definitely will come again next time.

Excellent Lobster and shrimp rolls. Stopped in for lunch, their Aircon was wonderful as was the service and food. The kettle chips were huge and crunchy, I liked the picked green beans too. Espresso coffee was good and punchy. Would definitely recommend for a light lunch.

Nick was instrumental in helping find exactly what I wanted. I had been looking for a pair of yellow gold channeled stud earrings for a couple years and his suggestion to purchase two single studs ended up saving me money and giving exactly what I had been looking for. I love them!!!

I had the best experience with Michael Hill. Customer service is incredible. The staff are very kind and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone that are looking for jewelry.

Terrible customer service. The only kind and smart person here is Debbie. Everyone else is rude and unhelpful. I had to come back into the store multiple times for their mess ups, forgot my keys in the store at 5pm on Sunday when they close because they had me in until 5:10 arguing about receipts, (yes, their staff were yelling and throwing their hands in the air, I have it all on video) I went back to get my keys and the store was locked up and they had my keys behind the counter, no care in the world to call me to let me know even though they have my number on file! Anyhow, I won’t be returning to this location until they get new staff. Beware, if ur having a bad day, don’t come here your day will turn 10% worse.

More for the designers and workmanship than the staff.. . The staff were friendly and helpful. The design, cheap backings on the .50 TW CT diamond stud earrings which are already at a hefty cost. Gifted on dec 29 2024 and one of the cheap backings came off and one of the earrings lost jan 7 2025. For the cost of these earring there really should be better backings, now we’re at a loss and devastated over the loss, 10 days.

I went to the Michael Hill location at Place D’Orleans the other day to get my engagement ring fixed and my husband’s and I’s wedding bands cleaned and had an exceptional service! We were greeted by Bayan who is super friendly and gave us a great customer service experience.

Their manager Nick was also very knowledgeable and fixed my engagement ring on the spot which, I was very satisfied with. His exceptional knowledge and step by step process made me feel at ease. Again, he went above and beyond and we couldn’t be happier.

A big thank you to Kayla for helping me pick out the perfect engagement ring. I went to the store in October to browse around, and she took her time in considering my budget, needs and explaining the details of each ring I was interested in. Most importantly, she did not pressure me into making a forced purchase, but rather she provided me her contact information if I had any questions and laid out the purchase process if I ever came back. I returned in December and was lucky enough to find what I wanted with an additional discount.

Kayla was extremely transparent, knowledgeable and honest in explaining the financing process, along with the warranty plans the store offers. I even learned a few new things about lab grown versus natural diamonds which was a huge factor for my budgetary concerns. Thank you for making my purchase extremely easy and satisfying!

I want to express my extreme disappointment towards Michael hill jewellery shop at Rideau center.
I bought a necklace which I liked from the store which was full of scratches.
They promised me to get it fixed.
I gifted my partner but we wanted it return it.
God knows what kind of fixing they have done.
When I went to return it, as it says within 30 days.
They refused to accept it as the scratches were again visible when it was sold without wearing it.
I bought a lot from them in the last year and unfortunately you lost your precious customer.
Extremely disappointed by the store and unhelpful manager.

I usually don't even write reviews, but wow the women who work here are dripping in attitude and act with such disrespect. Regardless of your approach (speaking from THREE experiences within ONE month with the same location and people) they act as if you are a homeless person/thief, (showing consistent rude facial expressions, rolling eyes, and puckering their botox filled lips while they share looks with each other). I don't know what their deal is, but it is so unwelcoming. You should stop treating paying customers like they are inconveniencing you, or as if you can't be bothered to help them nicely (especially when they are being nice to you) because your store is always empty. I seriously regret my purchase because every time that i need something i now have to face the squad of mean girls acting like this is high school and not Rideau mall.

It was my birthday when I visited this store and they were so helpful in finding what I was looking for. They cleaned all my jewelry and made it all look like new. I was very pleased with their customer service and it was a pleasure dealing with them.

I visited this Michael Hill location with my boyfriend to look for an engagement ring. I was helped by a woman (I think it was Ayushi?) who greeted me right away with a smile. I thought we were off to a good start.

When I told the associate that I wanted a cathedral setting she paused and said “Really? Most people don’t like that”. When she showed me a 1.25 ct after I told her I wanted 1ct she said “it’ll grow on you”.

These kinds of comments happened a couple times throughout our interaction. I didn’t appreciate having someone brush off my preferences. It made me feel like my opinions and wants weren’t valid.

She did share some useful information about certain cuts of diamonds, and she didn’t have an attitude per se. I just wished she approached my preferences with curiosity instead of (what felt like) judgement.

The manager, however, was kind and took time to go over some details of ring design that would help me in making a decision moving forward. You can tell he’s dedicated to the craft and just wanted to inform. He’s the reason I gave the extra star.

My interaction with the associate has put me off of considering Michael Hill as an option for my ring search. For other pieces? Maybe. Not any time soon though.

Edit Dec 2024: So I made friends with Ayushi, the elegant Indian lady at the store. They were willing to help me find (see photo 2) the pair of earstuds I saw online.

They are affordable. I have gratitude towards them, sincerely. I will explain why.

I think they recently decreased the price from 179 to 129. I remembered last time I checked all the trio studs with different genstones were $179. You'll say I am psychotic. First, gold plated fake stuff suck, the surface falls off after a few times wearing and you gotta toss them into garbage. They also cannot stand close scrutiny. Second, in this superfluous and degenerate world we found ourselves in, you ARE INDEED being judged if you, not very wealth, want to experience a top restaurant or vacation resort, just for once in years, that's all you could afford or unless your destiny permits you to get rich.
So, life is all about experiencing! You have paid for your experience. You want to get the most out of it. You don't want to be neglected, looked down upon, un-prioritized, labeled an intruder to a world that you don't belong.

Our jewelry has to be delicately-made, not eye-catching but could stand all these stares, because they are made of real gold and gems! It should match with your style and how you perceive yourself, adds to your confidence rather than your worries (Does it look fake? Do I look creepy?), because real aristocrats don't show off.

Outstanding customer service. The store jewelers take into consideration your needs and preferences to heart. Building strong and long-lasting relationship with their customers is their number one priority. I’ve been shopping at Michael Hill for over two years and I’m always amazed by their sincerity, empathy, and overall joyfulness. You’ll never find a jewelry store with such kindhearted staff - and unique pieces!

Poor after-sale service. Lying to hold onto sales especially when you don’t have something suitable for exchange is embarrassing. Initially was looking to do an exchange for a longer chain which they didn’t have. I had no problem with that, however they wouldn’t process a refund stating a manager needs to be there for a code. After going to another location, I have learnt that was completely false.

We absolutely LOVED Midnight Music!

Jamie was very easy to work with and he set us up with DJ Luc, who was an absolute joy! He was able to play SO many of our recommended songs, and the ones that he threw in himself, matched the vibe perfectly. Aside from the music, we used Midnight Music for our ceremony, so we could have microphones, and that went very well! He also added so many lights to our reception space that really made the room so fun. We had people dancing all night long!

I strongly recommend Midnight music for your wedding. We had a blast with Luke as our DJ. He was very easy to talk to and had a great selection and taste for music, and the dance floor was on fire. Jamie C will do everything in his power to make you have the best night ever. He doesn’t only listen to what you want, he also comes with great suggestions that will improve the final result. These guys also know how to adapt to unexpected events without panicking. Amazing store and excellent customer service! My friend and I went shopping here, and were lucky enough to meet the owner. She was quick to help us start a change room, and even had recommendations of clothing she thought we would like (and did, so we purchased). Can’t say enough great things about this place, and the amazing selection of quality clothing!!!

Super cute little store with a variety of accessories! I bought a beautiful print of Ottawa during the tulip festival and a magnet but I was most impressed with the selection of earrings. Staff were kind and one even made a point to recommend some things to do when she learned we were tourists. I saw there was an upstairs but it was closed so not sure what was up there to shop.

me and my cousins were watched like a hawk the entire time, we were not allowed to try on sunglasses without the owner barking instructions at you on how to shop the sunglasses which is very discouraging and a poor shopping experience.
They also have a promo where if you find a picture of celine dion you get %10 off, and i spotted her and said in a regular speaking voice “there’s celine” and i was loudly shushed and given a glare even though we were the only ones in the store. I would’ve bought a pair of sunglasses with that discount but her behaviour made me not want to give that business any more money. this store is not POC friendly and i would not recommend anyone put themselves through that experience.

My sister and I came here to window shop while they were giving me a guided tour of Ottawa! We fell absolutely in love with two dresses despite not planning on buying anything, and ended up leaving with a sweet haul!! The vibes of this store are amazing, and the workers are so incredibly nice! I'll be sure to visit next time I'm in the city :))

I had such a wonderful experience at the Mill Street Florist! I needed a bouquet of roses urgently and Jessica was incredibly friendly and amazing! She assured me the bouquet would be done in 15 minutes and ready by the time I got there and what a stunning and fresh bouquet it was. It was clearly put together with love and attention to detail. I couldn’t be happier with the service—highly recommend for anyone looking for quality flowers and exceptional customer care!

So impressed with Mill Street Florist! I ordered flowers for my son’s teachers and can’t believe how beautiful the arrangements turned out. This is my absolute favourite florist! I first received a dozen white roses from them on my wedding anniversary this year and let me just say wow! Their flowers are exquisite, fragrant and in pristine condition. Jessica and Fabiano’s arrangements are such a treat! I will be coming back for many years to come. The customer service is excellent and the flowers are phenomenal.

I am so in love with Mille Fiore. My partner purchased a bouquet for my birthday in January with orchids and it had to have been one of the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen in my life. Then today, he had a large arrangement delivered foe our one year anniversary! I was so surprised, and the arrangement was equally as stunning and beautiful. I can't wait for the Lilies and Peonies to open up.

I also want to thank the man who delivered them. Had I known what it was for, I would have ran down to get the flowers, because they were so heavy.
