I was truly excited this past weekend to pre-book an appointment with the store re-opening after 10 weeks of lockdown via Covid19. 😁 Then the emotion hit me when I walked in to the shop today. It was wonderful to see the boys.

They made me feel special as they always do. 🦩Always offer me an espresso and ask about my family and friends. It the kind of personal customer service you just can’t find in a big box retailer.

My Son Nic and I both rely on our personal “what do I wear” coach Domenic Morgante.

I needed a dress belt in a pinch. I stopped in and they were able to take care of me in short order. Within minutes, they had sized up my waist and cut a custom length belt to suit me. The price was good value for what I received. Staff were very friendly and professional. I will definitely consider them in the future if I have a larger order in mind.

Bought a suit for my upcoming wedding. I had probably the best customer service I have ever experienced here. I'm not one that normally wears suits, so shopping for one was daunting, I actually was recommended this store from Chat GPT. Upon arriving i was warmly greeted and the family / owners were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I left feeling happy, confident and definitely to be a returning customer in the future.

We went to Morris Formal Wear to find my Fiancé a suit for our wedding. We initially walked in and they were happy to fit us in for a consultation. They quickly found us the suit we were looking for at a very reasonable price. They ordered it in for us and it came quickly, and the tailor is amazing! Such a friendly group of people, and it's so nice to see a family business still running strong. You can definitely count on them to get the job done. Totally recommend!

Sam and his family have taken care of all of me and family’s formal wear needs for decades now. He provided me with my suit way back for my high school prom and now recently with my tuxedo for my wedding day in Ottawa.

They are a family business that’s been open since 1927, now 4 generations strong. They genuinely care about their clientele in a way that you won’t see from the chain stores because they treat you like family. Their attention to detail is unmatched. They are absolute pros at what they do but most importantly, they are incredible people and I’m thrilled to see their continued success.

I had the pleasure of participating in a workshop at this beautiful Turkish mosaics shop, and I can honestly say it was one of the most calming and enjoyable afternoons I’ve had in a long time.
From the moment you step in, you're transported — the atmosphere is warm, peaceful, and beautifully decorated with vibrant Turkish lamps and intricate details that make you feel like you’ve travelled to another country. Soft Turkish music plays in the background, setting a serene mood, and we were offered delicious Turkish tea and traditional delights that added such a lovely, authentic touch.
The workshop itself was incredibly enjoyable. Every minute was filled with creativity and relaxation. The person guiding us was so kind and helpful — they took the time to walk us through the process, answered all our questions patiently, and made sure everyone felt confident with their project.
Whether you're into crafts or just looking for a calming and culturally rich experience, I would highly recommend this workshop. It’s a perfect escape from the busyness of daily life — peaceful, inspiring, and genuinely special. 🌙✨

Cool DIY workshop
My partner bought us a Turkish lamp making session for our anniversary. I made a lamp and she made a candle holder.
The process was pretty easy and we had a bunch of fun figuring out the patterns.
The coordinator was super nice and offered us tea and a Turkish delight during our work session.

You don’t need to be a professional to make a lamp and the instructions are really straight forward.

There are a bunch of different lamps you can choose from for a fee but I chose the standard lamp at no extra cost. You can also have them plaster your final product or you can bring it home and do it yourself.
Overall I loved the experience!

We had a great time. Excellent instructor, willing to assist as needed. The tea and Turkish candy were a nice treat.

My mom and I went and had a great time.

Lots of colours to pick from. Lots of examples to look at for ideas.

The hardest part was picking a design and deciding on the colours. Once you did that the process is pretty simple. But 2.5 hours went by very quickly, so don’t waste too much time deciding 😉

What a fun afternoon. The studio is beautiful and set up perfectly for you to create. My teacher was Andre and he was so sweet and helpful. It was easy and difficult at the same time but I finished my lamp which I was a little concerned about when I started. If you don't finish in time, they give you all the stuff to bring home to finish. I left mine there for them to plaster for an extra $10 or you have the option to take it home and do the plaster yourself. They will give you a little take home kit. I can't wait to go pick it up!

I had a very grateful experience at this venue. Every single one of the staff were great, pleasant, and always smiling. The manager walked by three or four times during the event to check on things, and the owner passed by as well.

What I appreciated the most was the respectful communication between the management and staff. In the catering and venue business, I've seen managers act like Gordon Ramsay towards their staff, but this was the complete opposite.

There was a tiny hiccup (out of their hands), and the management offered a much greater compensation than anticipated.

You can tell a successful establishment from miles away, and this one—despite being new—is surely competing to be among the very best venues in the city.

I found my perfect wedding dress here! While the store is smaller than some others, it offers a great variety of styles and even has an off-the-rack section with discounted gowns—which is where I found mine. This made it possible for me to find a beautiful dress that fit both my vision and my budget. Even though the shop is small and only had one employee working that day, she managed to assist me and another customer at the same time with such care and attentiveness. She listened closely to what I liked and didn’t like about each dress, and her attention to detail really helped me narrow down my choices. The staff was warm, friendly, and supportive throughout the experience, and I’m so grateful they helped me find the dress I’ll be walking down the aisle in.

Bad service when I went to try on dresses they don’t even try to suggest you a dress that suits you well. They just stand there . But I ordered anyway. Bad idea , because I Change my mind but no return!
Make sure it is the right dress . Cause if you change your mind they don’t wanna deal with you once you both and order the dress . But they don’t tell you . They will once you have the dress on. Oh and they don’t do alterations.
Won’t be going back there for sure and even they do have beautiful dress the service is not worth it . I have 3 daughters, and all getting married in the years coming. Will be going else we’re. If service and experience is important for you, this is not the place

Very bad experience, they sold me a dress suggesting alterations and referring me to someone for alterations. I went and did the alterations they suggested (much more expensive than expected) with the person they recommended. It completely changed the dress and it wasn’t fitting me and my body type anymore. I could not wear it at my wedding. When I called to ask for support with my claim they refused any responsibility or to support me.

I came here with my family this past weekend and the experience was great. It was the first bridal shop we went to (out of four, ultimately), and even though I ended up getting my wedding dress elsewhere in the end, I had such a good appointment and it really stood out above some of the other shops! Natasha was so patient and friendly, she let us pick out so many dresses to try on. She was extremely experienced, knew exactly what alterations were possible, and would make great suggestions. When I tried on an extravagant ballgown dress, which there was no way I was buying for my style, Natasha even went and got me a tiara just for the photo op! I would definitely recommend Moscatel to any other bride. :)

Moxies in Ottawa has a beautiful vibe — the restaurant looks great inside and the patio outside is especially nice. The service overall was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and full of flavor, even though the place was quite busy. The only downside was that one of our friends' orders was forgotten, and it took a long time to arrive — almost after everyone else had finished eating. Despite that, we still enjoyed the meal, and I would give it another try!

I had the pleasure of being served by Sujoy during my recent visit to Moxies Riverside, and I genuinely believe he is one of the best servers I’ve ever encountered.

From the moment we were seated, Sujoy’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the experience exceptional. He greeted us with a friendly smile, gave thoughtful recommendations from the menu, and ensured that every part of our meal went smoothly. What stood out most was how effortlessly he balanced friendliness with efficiency — checking in just enough without ever feeling intrusive.

Sujoy anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Drinks were never empty, dishes came out timed perfectly, and he even remembered our preferences from a previous visit. His energy and passion for what he does truly elevate the entire dining experience.

If you’re visiting Moxies Riverside, ask for Sujoy — he’s a rare gem in hospitality, and he turns a great night out into an unforgettable one. Management is lucky to have him!

Moxies is a great restaurant for couples and meeting up with friends. The staff are well trained in customer service, the menu is exquisite, and the interior decor is upscale ... all creating an atmosphere of sophistication and some level of exclusivity.

Anything they label "blackened" is tasty and flavorsome ... and their ancient grains rice is fluffy and delicious; it goes perfectly well with chicken or salmon on top.

Went here for a birthday dinner for my father, his choice. I liked my fresh tasting bean tacos, my parents said they enjoyed their steak, tho my sister in law has to send her back to be cooked longer, hadn't been cooked to what she asked for. Had what I think is the most expensive starter on the menu whipped goat cheese and tomatoes (idk what it is called in the menu)this was a fabulous surprising appetizer, I totally recommend this! The chicken lettuce wraps were also fantastic and a hit all around, pot stickers were okay but nothing special- better can be found easily in Ottawa. Sticky toffee was okay but again you could have it from dessert first so it's about the same if you've tried that. I had a cappaciino after the meal and this I wouldn't order again, have tea or go for an alcoholic after dinner choices they were good but pricey. The place was NOT good for a group of 5! This ruined the experience for all of us. Music and all the talking it was impossible to have a conversation with all of us, I had trouble talking to my bad who was opposite the booth of me. This was an 80th birthday with family from overseas so be this really ruined the whole experience and I wish we had chosen delivery instead and had the great food at home.

This is my first time at the Hunt Club location, I've only ever went to the Kanata Moxie's. This restaurant was very similar, thankfully. I've always enjoyed eating at Moxie's. The food is always delicious!

I had the mushroom sirloin that was cooked to perfection. My husband had the chicken mushroom pasta that he raved about as well.

Our server was excellent as well as the rest of the staff, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect for casual, fine dining.

For dessert I tried the dark chocolate no flour cake and it was so delicious!

Very pleased with my overall dining experience!

My dinner experience at Mr. B's Osteria, situated at 2446 Bank Street, was truly delightful. We began with a serving of fried zucchini, after which I savored the fettuccine with salmon, accompanied by a dill cream sauce, and appreciated the freshness of the pasta. FMu husband choice was the chicken Marsala, and we concluded with Tiramisu. The service provided by our server, Adrianna, was outstanding, and I strongly recommend Mr. B's Osteria.

Our family came and had a lovely birthday dinner. It was a great experience! If you are thinking about getting the zucchini sticks, my advice, do it. You will not regret it! It is a large open dinning space. Personally, our family thinks the restaurant could benefit from some decor and perhaps some separation (setting up walls or booths or something).

Mr. B’s has been a longtime favorite for me and my friends, even back when it was at the old location. The food is consistently amazing, with a great variety to choose from. We’ve tried the fish, steak, lobster, pastas, soups, and salads—and everything has been delicious. The bread alone is worth coming for!

The pasta dishes are priced similarly to East Side Mario’s, but the quality and flavor are on a completely different level—much higher and more refined. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a nice vibe that makes it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions.

The service is always great, and it’s a nice touch that the owner is often there personally to greet you with a smile. Highly recommend!

Our regular Friday afternoon get-away. Absolutely delicious and top quality choices. My favourite dish is the Fettuccine Fruitti Di Mari. Pasta is made inhouse. A fantastic seafood medley in a delicious rose sauce. Go in hungry and come out very happy and satisfied.

Lovely vibe and food was decent size for the price. Zucchini app was delicious! Service was ok.

My husband and I visited this store on October 24/24. Hubby used to shop at the Belleville store, but unfortunately that closed. We were immediately greeted by Omar upon entering the store and offered assistance. He helped my husband find lightweight golf shirts, and after chatting, recommended some very lightweight dress pants as well. Omar could not have been more excited to share his love of these pants, and after trying a pair on, my husband bought a pair in each colour...the same for the golf shirts! Unfortunately, one pair of pants and one extra golf shirt were not available in store, so we ordered them and had them shipped. Imagine our surprise when we arrived home today, October 25/24 to see the package arrived home before we did! We were VERY happy with our experience at this new to us location. Shima is absolutely amazing! She completely altered a jumpsuit to fit me perfectly and has hemmed several pairs of pants with flawless results. Most recently, when the pocket of the pants I was wearing ripped on my way to pick up an order, she kindly and expertly fixed them on the spot while I waited. Her skill, attention to detail, and kindness are unmatched. I couldn’t recommend Mrs and Mr Tailoring more!

My partner and I had a total of 3 bridesmaid dresses and 3 suits that needed to get significant alterations (including taking in each dress and suit by around 2 sizes). This shop did a fantastic job with a quick turnaround! My 3 dresses were ready after only a few weeks!. Would definitely recommend if you need alterations.

I had the pleasure of dropping off my winter coat here, and coming back to it after 3 weeks.
From the beginning, the process was transparent, informative, and pleasantly surprising. Shima recognized me after I'd missed two weekend openings to go pick up my coat. The flexibility of picking up my coat whenever I was available when business was open was very comforting. She was able to replace a major zipper of the coat. She fixed a sleeve, and even taught me why this sleeve was coming undone to begin with. Her craftsmanship is extraordinarily off the charts, so much so that my coat looks like it came straight from the manufacturer!
This place was well worth the price. I recommend it.

I had the pleasure of working with Mrs and Mr Tailoring, and I am absolutely delighted with the results! They helped me add zippers to my dawn coat pockets, which originally didn't come with any. Not only did they choose the perfect colour for the zipper, but the work was done so meticulously that it looks like it was part of the coat from the manufacturer. The craftsmanship is truly impressive, and I appreciate their talent and attention to detail. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for expert tailoring work!

We have been customers of Multi Lighting for years because of the quality of their merchandise. Recently, we had occasion to purchase two flush mounts for our kitchen. This experience was extremely rewarding because of Julien Philion. His help in our choice was invaluable. He suggested my sending him photos of our kitchen and he would then choose suitable lights for me to evaluate and make choices. He was very helpful sending numerous types of lights. We ended up choosing a style that he had suggested. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind and helpful. His sales service is impeccable, which explains why he is the manager. Another positive experience at Multi Lighting!!!!

Came in today to pick up (expensive) lights we had already purchased after receiving a call that they were ready. Despite there being staff available (guy by the printer, two attendants with one customer), we stood at the counter in the otherwise empty store for 10 minutes without any acknowledgment - not even a "we'll be right with you."

Finally, one of the two attendants left the customer, still behind the desk, walked past us and kinda throws out "oh what, did you guys have questions or something?" Whatever happened to "Welcome! Sorry for the long wait, how can I help you!".

Optimal, one of the two attendants helping the single customer could have easily split off to help us?

For comparison, Home Depot down the road greeted us three times within 5 minutes. The difference in customer service is night and day. Expected much better for a specialty lighting store.

Amazing experience with Dima. Today we visited the store for the first time and we were very impressed by the light selections also by the quality of service we received.
Dima took her time to show us lots of options and hepled us to choose what we need, with a pleasure, patient and she always having her smile on her face, which is let us feel very welcomed and happy.

I would avoid this store at all costs. The sales person was great, we ordered all lighting for our house through them, however the customer service after the fact was basically non existent. One of the bathroom vanity lights came broken. It’s been months with no communication unless it’s initiated by me and still no resolution. I spent close to $500 on the matching vanity lights at at this point have 0 confidence in their ability to make it right either by getting me a replacement or refunding them both. When I do communicate I’m unable to get clear or accurate answers on the status. I would never ever order from here again!

I had a great customer service experience at this store. The staff member was very courteous, polite and knowledgeable about the product. And I was taken by surprise at the quality of the lamps especially some of the cool artistic designs. I thought the prices were a little on the high side but I guess as they say, you get what you pay for. There were some good quality lamps here. I will definitely return if I’m in need of more illumination 😎

We came here in June 2024 looking for light fixtures as we were renovating our kitchen. There was a good variety of options to choose from, and we enjoyed browsing around the store. Customer service was below par and almost insulting, but we did ultimately purchase three light fixtures (2 pendants and 1 ceiling lamp). For context, it was raining the day we visited, so we had a small umbrella with us. Upon entering the store, the older woman working there - without even a polite greeting - told us we needed to leave our umbrella by the front door (however there was no umbrella bin to place it in). The next couple who walked in also had an umbrella, but they were not asked to toss it by the front door for some reason. I wonder if Multi-Luminaire would be liable for replacing our umbrella if it had been stolen. Although we did give them our $$$, we certainly will not be back again.

I ordered 3 pendant lights from this shop two weeks ago and was told I would receive them within 2–3 weeks. After waiting patiently, I followed up myself after two weeks, only to be informed that none of the lights are in stock and that I won’t receive them until July!

I’m frustrated that I wasn’t informed earlier — I had to call them myself to find out the delay. After waiting for two weeks, I expected better communication and service. If the items were out of stock, that should have been clearly communicated at the time of purchase.

Very disappointed with the experience and lack of transparency. Won’t be ordering from here again.

I purchased a ceiling fan from Multi Luminaire about four years ago, and recently it stopped working. I reached out to the store, hoping for some guidance on a possible fix or replacement options. To my surprise and delight, they offered me a full credit toward a new fan—even after all this time!

This kind of customer service is rare these days. They stood by their product years after the purchase, with no hassle, no runaround—just genuine care for their customers. The staff was friendly, professional, and made the entire process seamless.

Such a fun event with tons of laughs. It’s a great time and getting the audience involved is awesome. This was our third show and we have loved all of them.

This is a long overdue review. I went here last year with friends and it was a whole lot of laughs. The theater was terrific, the actors were so good, so full of non-stop fun and silliness. I ended up winning and guessing the murderer! :) The food at the Prescott was nice, served fairly quickly and good-size portions. The restaurant was extremely busy. The popcorn was a nice idea and I just loved how the actors interacted with the audience. They have mastered this murder mystery stuff. Highly recommend.

First class music festival. Must see. Music coupled with history ( ie music of the Cold War was in the bunkers of Diefenbunker near Ottawa) Music with acrobats. Music with dining. Music with art. That’s the Beyond part.
excellent intro to music for kids: a whole day free music and fun for them. First class internationally renowned classical musicians. Some weird and fun combinations: like classical and bluegrass banjo! 75 events over 2 weeks for around 160$. A few needed extra $ but most didn’t need special tickets.

I met with My Caterer to cater my wedding when it was going to be held at the Museum of Science and Technology and had a couple of meal planning conversations. Unfortunately we didn't end up going with that venue, which was disappointing because I was very excited about the menu and the creative serving ideas he had. Met was very laid back and easy going, yet professional and knowledgeable. He was extremely nice, quick to communicate and correspond, and I'm sure had we stuck with the venue that they would have done a fabulous job.

I would definitely recommend My Caterer. We, as a company, have been dealing with them for a while and food quality and presentation have always surpassed our expectations. Met is always quick to respond, communicative and helpful. Thank you for the great service!

Nate did our wedding back in 2019 and he was AMAZING! He went above and beyond, got shots I never even thought of, even some sneak behind the scenes shots that have now become some of my most cherished. Both professional and very personable, he was like one of the family only super talented and not complaining about us not having an open bar!! Seriously though, he was virtually invisible when he needed to be while also being right there the moment you needed him and, considering our wedding was just before a cross-country move AND Covid, the pictures of all our friends and family together, hugging, celebrating and enjoying our day are priceless. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone who will listen!! :)

Nate was great to work with on our wedding. He prepared with us in advance and we decided on the photo shoot list from his suggestions. On the day of he arrived promptly and was very professional and innovative with the different photos before our wedding. When at the ceremony he took very sensitive and intimate shots of vows and meanwhile excellent candid shots of our family and friends. He stayed for the reception and beginning of the dinner and we are happy to have many more candid and artistic photos of our special day. We would highly recommend Nate.

Spacious, well lite, modern building housing an impressive, well arranged collection. Each piece, not only has information about the artist and date, but a back story to help understand the work. Lots of washrooms and handicap ramps.
Excellent locker and coat check with friendly, polite staff. Well worth a few hours to stroll around and admire a variety of art forms.

Attend a concert that was part of the free summer series concert. Very enjoyable. The concert took place on the terrace outside overlooking the canal. Bring picnic chairs.

Does anyone remember Classic Bookshops which was located in NAC after it opened? They also had a section for French books which was La Librairie de la Capitale. I have not been to NAC in ages! But these bookshops were really nice.

Great spot to catch all varieties of shows. Got to experience the National HS Improv championships firsthand. What a stellar event and kudos to the NAC for staging such a beneficial experience.

I highly recommend the Nayaab boutique! I’ve never been to India before, and my husband and I were recently invited to a wedding in New Delhi. Shopping here was such a wonderful experience. Mandeep was incredibly helpful—she guided me through the traditions and etiquette while I tried on different outfits, and her knowledge made me feel so much more confident about my choices. The boutique has a stunning selection of clothing and shoes, and the prices are very reasonable. I’m absolutely delighted with my purchases and look forward to bringing my husband back soon to try on traditional men’s attire for the wedding.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at NKIN!

Prior to my appointment, I hadn't looked at any dresses yet in person, so booked in for a "Dress Discovery" appointment. I told Stephanie what I thought I might be interested in, and showed her some examples of what I thought I might like, and she got busy picking out dresses for me to try. Everything she picked out was PERFECT, and she was so helpful at making suggestions about alterations or accessories to change the looks of dresses to fit what I was looking for. Ultimately, the last dress I tried was my perfect dress (thank you, Stephanie, for getting me to try it on! I figured I'd tried on a bunch and had a better idea of what I wanted and was satisfied with that, but she basically said I may as well try this other one while I was there, and I'm so happy I did!), and I ended up purchasing it that same day.

Everything from the Diet Coke, to the body-positive and safe environment, to the help from Stephanie, made my experience at NKIN incredible. Even months after I bought my dress, they were helpful with suggesting alterations when I messaged them on Instagram just weeks before my wedding (I wasn't able to go back to NKIN as I live in Alberta, so they made some suggestions to help with how my dress fit). All-in-all, my experience was fantastic and I highly recommend using them for any bridal needs!

Getting a wedding dress can be stressful. The staff here are great at reducing that stress. Steph helped me find a dress that was both comfortable (yay, sensory sensitivity!) and did not break the budget. I am very grateful for her help with making dress shopping fun. I definitely recommend!

Abby and Lizzie made my wedding dress shopping experience so lovely, not only did they find me a super affordable dress but they made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the process! They took care of booking me in for alterations and all subsequent appointments through them were a breeze. They have truly done a wonderful job at curating the most friendly, fun and inclusive atmosphere also while being super transparent about their pricing.

I was so happy with their services that I also used them for content creation (everyone loves a good BTS of their big day), day of styling and Abby was our officiant! Our wedding day ran so smoothly, and I did not need to worry about having a hair (or veil) out of place! Abby wrote the most special officiating speech and vows that truly emulated everything of my husband and I’s relationship. I could not have asked for a better ceremony!

Stephanie was fantastic to work with and I had quite a few things I wanted to alter on my dress. Even when I didn't know exactly what I wanted, she made helpful suggestions based on the dress itself and what would look best. I felt gorgeous and supported the entire time as staff would walk by and compliment me, making me feel truly special and excited.

The quality of the work done on my wedding dress was spectacular, especially considering it was not a traditional dress. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

Okay. This IS the place to get your gown. The boutique itself is beautiful and girly and FUN. It’s THE VIBE to bring your gal pals with you and enjoy trying on gowns. I’ve been to many bridal boutiques and none of them felt this comfortable.
I had the absolute pleasure of having Stephanie be my consultant. No one has ever listened to exactly what I wanted and DELIVERED. I already knew what dresses I wanted pulled and my heart had already known which dress I was taking home but Stephanie was supportive from the moment we met. She helped me feel SO confident and went above and beyond even accessorizing me with different shades of veils and bringing shoe options. The entire team that I met were so helpful and seemed very down to earth and genuinely kind. These are the type of girls you need when bridal gown shopping to feel your absolute best. The cute accessories and little gifts they had at the entrance were super cute. There were personalized bridal party t shirts and cute cards (handmade looking) and other things that would make great bridal party gifts! I had so much fun, I will forever recommend NKIN to anyone who’s in the market. I wish I could relive the experience again just to hang with the girls while having my dream dress become my reality.

Legit the best colorist ever! We spent 7 freaking hours on my hair and no body has ever had the patience or the skill to work with my lions mane. I would cross the ends of the earth to get my hair done by Marina again. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I went to this place based on the reviews it had, and it was my first time visiting. I had long, naturally straight thick dark hair that was about 25 inches long. I went into the salon (already paying $100 fee before even any services were done on me ahead of my appointment) and asked to have my ends darkened to my natural hair colour, and I wanted layers in my hair but wanted to keep the length. I emphasized on only 1/2 an inch be taken off the full length of my hair.

Throughout the service, the assistant that had taken over for my session, who was applying the dye and washing my hair, mentioned to me 11 times just how dry my hair was. I told her that I live in a dry climate, and I was recently on medication that caused my hair to be so dry. She thoughtlessly kept repeating out loud for the entire salon to hear how dry my hair was. I was so uncomfortable and unsure what to say to her comments. She even mentioned to me on the way out of the salon while I was paying that my hair was so dry and she was glad I cut it.

After leaving the salon, the hairdresser I saw cut my layers the same way I've seen it done online. In two separate ponytails and then he cut the ends off of the ponytails. I lost so much of my hair from the hair cut and days later I hoped the colour would lighten but they dyed my hair a jet black and it doesn't match my natural colour at all. Not only that - I was charged about $200 upon leaving the salon (due to the amount of dye they used on my LONG hair before they cut it) and so all in all I paid about $300 CAD to have my hair dyed jet black and my long hair cut in chunky layers with majority of my length taken off. I could cry, my hair was so beautiful and naturally thick and it took over 2 years to grow out. I even showed the hairdresser 5-7 different inspiration photos. In shock, I left the salon smiling but couldn't believe it when i got home. I'm so sad, they ruined my hair and I'm out $300.

The owner and all staff were so welcoming as soon as I walked in. Loved the offer of a nice beverage. Catherine did an incredible job on my hair and gave me exactly what I was hoping for. I came out looking just like the Pinterest photos I had showed her for inspiration. She is also just a gem of a human and was so lovely to meet and speak to. I will definitely be back to this salon and make it my main one in Ottawa.

This was my fourth time seeing Jackie at the salon. Every experience has been better than the last (if that’s even possible). She always takes her time, accommodates my requests and helps me figure out what I want! I have also never had such a great haircut in my life!

I often drive by the salon, living in the neighbourhood, and have noticed their walk-ins welcome sign out front. I always say, I should try that out, but life seems to find other plans. So today I had an unexpected day off from work and thought if not now then when!
I popped in just after lunch and received a warm welcome with lots of happy people, both customers and employees! Suzanne had an availability right away and my experience was top notch from beginning to end. I was so pleased with my hair cut and style (and let me tell you...you're not going to find a more relaxing shampoo anywhere!) and when I asked for her input on a cut I was thinking about, she was honest and I really appreciated it. Yes, hair does grow back...but she took the guess work out for me and saved me potentially hiding under a hat for awhile :).
Before I left, I made an appointment for next month, and already booked Suzanne and 3 other stylists for my daughters and my mom before my son's wedding next year!
