Event was canceled without any prior notice, just a note on the door met with many frustrated people. A simple email to all attendees would’ve been appreciated. Can’t speak for the performances but the management team needs to do their job better.

The best chamber music festival in the world, I think.

Not too crowded. Picturesque buildings. Good place to walk around. Public transit is accessible.

Ottawa City Hall is not a grand or impressive building by any means, but it feels very functional and practical. The design is simple and modern, with open spaces that seem to serve their purpose well. It may not wow you architecturally, but it gets the job done as a working municipal building.

Precisely what a city hall should look like. I got a bit of history and facts about Ottawa from the Museum on the ground floor. In addition, there are beautiful artworks from different artists on display and some on auction to be purchased. The rink of dreams is located right in front of the city hall, and it's always a major attraction during the winter season. Plenty of multilevel parking 🅿️ available at very reasonable prices. The City Hall also has other offices, including a Canada service office. The hall also serves as an event centre, which is really cool.

City Hall has great customer service and good workers. When I had concerns and struggles with documents and information, they didn't hesitate to help and make me feel comfortable. Back in 2023, my husband and I got married there in a court room by a judge. She's the sweetest person, and we feel honoured to have met her. She made it enjoyable and meaningful. I'm sure many other judges are just as kind and professional. City Hall offers a lot of services and they're always happy and ready to help. I can say they make me feel lucky and proud to live in Ottawa.

Its a city hall! Woo-hoo... Nice seasonal skating rink, a few minor art/cultural display areas. Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame/Shame? has been downsized to a large video display which is as of Nov24 inaccessible for some indeterminate time/reason.

I was looking for an insurance company in Ottawa and one of my friends recommended them to me. Excellent service. The agent was very much helpful and provided me every terms and regulations for the insurance process. I am very much satisfied with the service they provided.

I had the opportunity to experience the convention center through an event I was attending. I found the convention to be very clean, from the bathrooms to the main rooms. There is a great view of Parliament. The staff I had interacting with were great.

Always a great place for my Industry's Landscape Trade Shows in the early spring. Spacious, great food, very clean bathrooms, and awesome underground parking, especially when the weather is not so good!

Very nice conference centre with free underground parking. This place is well maintained and the washroom is clean. Should have patrol to check the underground parking once a while because there are quiet and dark corners. Not too sure who provided the catering but the food quality was very good each time from different events.

Junior at the reception desk is a wonderful man. Professional and polite. Always with a smile. The only thing I don’t like about this hotel is that there are not enough elevators for the amount of children booked at this hotel. This is a favourite hotel of young sports teams.

Went to a work holiday party and was pleasantly surprised by this venue. Attached to Hampton Inn made getting there very easy since that's where we stayed. Great buffet that was well labeled for people with various allergies. Our servers were all very friendly. Hope we go back next year.

The first time I met Joe, I immediately noticed how sweet and genuinely kind he is. I recently had 4 pieces of jewelry repaired here (a chain, bracelet, and two anklets), and I couldn’t be happier with the results! You can’t even tell they had been repaired, as Joseph uses a laser that leaves minimal to no markings compared to other repairs I’ve had done before. The repairs were done beautifully, communication was excellent, and the turnaround time was quick. I’ll definitely be back for future repairs and for custom pieces I’d like made. I had a stunning necklace made for my mother from sapphires from my grandmothers engagement ring. My mother loved the piece and Joseph did everything to ensure it was done on time for her birthday. I cannot recommend him enough! If you need custom jewelry, look no further!

Joe has amazing craftsmanship! I got a bracelet made from Joe a few weeks ago, where the diamonds, quality, setting - the entire design was impeccable. I've been wearing it since, and constantly receive compliments on it! I've been gatekeeping him from all my friends and those who ask where I got my bracelet made from. Everyone thinks I purchased my bracelet from Dubai, but really it's from Joe in Ottawa.

Joe's attention to detail is second to none! He went above and beyond to give me what I asked for! I would highly recommend him to anyone and will definitely be purchasing more!

Very nice close to downtown with parking available. Caring staff who go above and beyond. You feel like they're welcoming you to their home - management must be good! Personally I don't like so much carpet but otherwise the room was nice, big and clean.

I stayed here for four nights with my wife and kids. My experience was somewhat mixed.

The room itself had everything on paper, but in reality it wasn't great. The highlights were a spacious living room, a separate bedroom with 2 queen beds and a kitchenette. That said, the room layouts and furnishings were not ideal. The living room was huge, but the bathroom, which was nice, was tiny. The kitchenette was very old and tired, and there was no dishwasher. The furniture in the living room was oddly uncomfortable to sit on. There was a balcony but it was so uninviting that we never used it. This is very much a 1970s-style apartment that feels odd by modern standards.

Having the kitchenette was good in that it gave us a place to prepare breakfast, but a few more essentials would have been nice. For instance, many suite hotels provide paper towels/napkins to help you keep the place clean. This one doesn't.

Service was a highlight, staff we encountered did their best to help. The housekeeper in particular did a great job.

Location is OK, it's fairly central but you have to walk at least a couple of blocks to get to any shops/restaurants, and the downtown core is about a 15 minute walk away. You can park for free overnight, but one-hour limits kick in at 7 am (effectively giving you until 8 am to move your car).

I did appreciate the space this hotel provides, but it reminded me too much of my student apartment to want to go back.

Spacious rooms with amazing service. A best place to stay, may it be a short trip for a weekend or a long stay!!

Cancelled our reservation on the day of our arrival to Ottawa which we booked 4 nights with them!! Incredible. My mother booked on behalf of myself staying and they cancelled on me instead of honouring the reservation (they had all the credit card details they needed to charge). Awful customer service, has us scrambling for another hotel room.

Really enjoyed my stay at 25 Cartier Embassy Hotel. The location is perfect—super quiet and right by the canal, but still close to everything downtown. The building has character and the room felt more like a mini apartment than a hotel room, with a full kitchen and big windows. It was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Would definitely come back!

I’ve been going to this store for a while now and received nothing but excellent service with May. Very helpful and very friendly. The business is obviously booming as there are many selections to choose from.

We had a great experience working with Ottawa Flowers for our wedding! The price was very reasonable and the bouquet I recieved on my wedding day matched my vision perfectly. Pavel always seemed a tad rushed, but there was clearly no need to worry about that because everything was exactly what we wanted. The delivery people were also very kind and polite. I purchased flowers to be sent to my mom for her birthday because I wasn't in town, but I wouldn't suggest it. To make the bouquet unique for my mom, I ordered flowers and then upgraded them. They weren't premium flowers and didn't look like the ones I had originally bought when they arrived. The store told me to send an email when I called, so I did, and it took them a few days to reply. After my mom's birthday had already past and she had the flowers for a few days, they informed me that they would send a new bouquet. Importantly, though, they stated that the flowers would be delivered, but I would have to give the old ones back to the person who would deliver them. (Please take notice that I wasn't in Ottawa.) How can they expect someone who received flowers to be at home to return the flowers I purchased, which I wanted to be perfect the first time? When I refused this request because it had been a few days, they stopped responding. I would phone, and they would promise to call me back. I called again after two weeks had passed, someone said they were busy and asked me to call back in three days because it was a holiday weekend. The matter could have been resolved two weeks ago. Following all of this, they informed me that they could only issue a partial refund because it was their policy to alter a specific percentage of the bouquet. The bouquet didn't look like what was bought, but it didn't match the enhanced sizing and the flowers were dying. If you want to be scammed, Here's where you should go.

Order flowers for my anniversary for June 5. Was told certain flowers in the arrangement wasn't available but they would be available the next day. They said they could make something similar so I agreed. Many hours went by and they messaged me at 6pm saying they were awaiting a driver to ensure my delivery today.

I contacted them at 735pm to see the status and got no answer. Contacted them by phone and got no answer.

I proceeded to email them and say if it's not going to be delivered today, then I want the original arrangement seeing as they said those flowers would be available. NO ANSWER.

Flowers that I didn't want were delivered for my 4 year anniversary, on the NEXT day. Also delivered when no one was home during the middle of the day (I have footage on my ring camera).

They didn't honor giving me what I originally ordered and they were a day late after saying they were ensuring my order was delivered today.

I'm never ordering from this business again and I will persuade everyone I know to never order with them. Highly unprofessional.

I come here every single Mother’s Day, and any occasion in between where cut flowers are the right touch. The houseplants available also stretch my self control to the limits every time I’m there lol.

They also took care of all the arrangements for my best friend’s wedding, and a few connections beyond them as well as a result.

I always look forward to checking out the arrangements when I walk through the door!

This store is exceptional. I've been buying bouquets from there and receiving them as well; they never fail to cheer me up!

They also make bridal bouquets and have a variety of books with pictures to help gauge your wants and prices

I have purchased similar plants from local retailers which didn’t survive. At Kennedy it is only healthy, mature and high quality plants. Reasonably priced.

Used Ottawa Luxe Limousines for a special wedding anniversary. We were a group of 6 people and the entire service from booking until the very end of the evening was nothing short of remarkable. This company is tremendously professional and blew my expectations out of the water. Mason the driver was great and his attention to detail was terrific. Would not think twice about using these guys again!

Wayne was the driver for my daughter's birthday party. He showed up early to let me add a few balloons and decorations to the limo. We picked up all of the girls and the looks on their faces were priceless. Wayne went above and beyond and the whole experience was flawless from beginning to end. Very professional and would highly recommend.

The rooms are large but need some serious renovations. The shower had no water pressure. The view of the parliament was ok but the windows were filthy. Pillows were really nice and the beds are comfortable. I enjoyed the water station in the lobby. Was refreshing after walking all day.
Breakfast buffet downstairs was 33$. Pricey but included coffee, juice and will cook your eggs for you any style.
Great fruit choices. Make sure too visit 28th floor using your key pass for magnificent views of the city. Good cable TV.

The location is great! Conveniently close to the Parliament grounds. I love that the corner suite has many windows, although decor is a bit dated. I look forward to when renovations are complete. I greatly appreciate we were let into the revolving restaurant level to watch the fireworks, with the lights off - the vantage point was perfect, and very convenient that the hotel room was only an elevator ride away! The front desk staff were very informative. Thanks to everyone!

We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott, and I can’t say enough good things about the incredible staff—especially Ben and Sam at the front desk. From the moment we checked in, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable.

Ben was warm, professional, and made the check-in process smooth and stress-free. Sam followed up with genuine care, ensuring we had everything we needed during our stay. Both of them showed such attention to detail and kindness—it truly made a difference.

It is an excellent community-oriented mosque where every person feels welcome! Kids consider this place as their home playground.

I visited this mosque recently and had a hard time finding the women’s section. There is a door labeled “Women’s Entrance” on the other side of the building, but once inside, there were no clear directions. I found two doors and a staircase going up and down, but both stairwells were dark, and there were no signs or instructions anywhere.
At the main entrance, one of the doors was closed with no handle, and the other led directly into the men’s section, where men were present. This made it very confusing and uncomfortable. It would be helpful if the mosque added clear signage or directions to make it easier for women to navigate the space.

OMA mosque is a beautiful community. We have been members of their congregation for the last few years.

There is programming for children, men and women. A large community who helps one another and lives through their Islamic values.

Stephanie made our wedding a dream come true! I had always envisioned a fairy tale wedding, and when we came across Stephanie's style, we saw how it absolutely captured that essence. Her dedication and personal attention made us feel like the most special people in the world- the way she built a friendly rapport with us right from our engagement photo session that continued on through all the planning and then throughout the entire wedding day itself just speaks volumes to her incredible professionalism and expertise. We loved how she made us feel comfortable, kept us on schedule, gave us posing advice, and found the best photo locations and the best lighting for our photos! Stephanie was super responsive and even gave us a sneak peek of our photos the very next day, and they were breathtaking. I absolutely recommend her for anyone wanting to capture their perfect day!

Because we were planning our wedding from afar (we don't live in Ottawa) we had a phone consultation to share our wedding photography 'hopes and dreams' (and also met in person when we arrived in town), and Stephanie and Dave did a fantastic job of delivering on all of those things for us. On the day of the wedding they were both prompt, professional, unobtrusive - and fun and awesome people! It was like hanging out with a couple of friends. :) We just received our photos and they're stunning. There were so many different crazy lighting situations throughout the day, and so many things to capture - and the photos really do tell the story of the day beautifully. There was never any question that we wanted to have Steph and Dave capture our day - we are long time friends and their photos are always wonderful.

With a very complex, DIY-style wedding, having an expert around meant access to great advice (a service I know that Steph extends to all her couples, offering schedule suggestions, vendor recommendations, etc.). During our wedding day she was a calm and happy presence for us, but also a fun and organized person for our guests during large family photo shoots. This couple is a perfect addition to your wedding - our photos were so enjoyable to shoot, I wish the rest of the event had been so stress-free.

My final point of recommendation for Stephanie Beach Photography is how great Steph has been following the wedding. We got to see a sneak peek of a couple of photos just a few days afterwards, this reassured us that our unconventional event was able to be captured as beautifully as a traditional ceremony. The full set of photos arrived in a timely manner and we choose to order some products to give as Christmas gifts. Not only was the timeline fine from a September wedding to have orders ready for December but the albums we had made are gorgeous, everyone raved about them - a great gift.

Having Steph and Dave as your wedding photographers will not only add great memories to your day, but also ensure you have stunning images captured to hold your memories forever.

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Ottawa Palapa Tours! We booked a cruise for our team event and it was such a hit that we came back the very next day with more friends. The atmosphere was fun and relaxing, the boat setup is unique and perfect for groups, and the staff made the whole experience effortless and enjoyable. A special shoutout to Gabby, who was fantastic in helping us manage the reservations—super responsive and made the booking process so easy. Cruising along the Ottawa River with music, great vibes, and amazing company was the highlight of our conference. We booked two Tiki boats last night to see the fireworks and it was a BLAST!!

This was such a serene experience and Emma (bartender) and Vikram (captain) made it 10X better! They were both great hosts - so welcoming, good energy, and fun! Such a beautiful tour of Ottawa/Gatineau. We saw beautiful city landmarks while enjoying our drinks, listening to music and watching gorgeous summer sunset!

My bridesmaids surprised me with a surprise Palapa tour as part of my bachelorette party and we had a blast!! Sophia & Paul were awesome - they were professional but fun and made sure we had a good time. Sophia took lots of pictures for us & the cocktails/mocktails were delicious. Would recommend!

Before Paul arrived at my venue, it felt like so many little things were going wrong and that my wedding was not a priority to any of my vendors. Paul honestly made my wedding day. He made us feel so special. During my husband's shoot with his groomsmen, a beautiful vintage car rolled up to the venue and Paul just walked right up to the guy and asked him to use the car in the shoot. He knew it would make the shot, and it definitely did. I honestly feel that only someone with his experience could have seen the car and thought to do this. During my shoot, what was supposed to be just some pictures around the horse stable on site, turned into him shooting me and a horse (a rather energetic one at that!), he rolled with it like the pro he is. These are just a couple examples of how Paul went above and beyond for us on our day.

Such a pleasure to work with Paul on our wedding day! It started with a last minute change of location due to the weather and Paul quickly pivoting to find the best spots for our photoshoot in a new environment. The session itself was a lot of fun, thanks to Paul's high energy and ability to make everyone feel comfortable.
