horrible service. the driver arrived 1h late and didn’t even apologized. the driver also told us that he’ll keep our bottle of champagne while we were at our event. we came back to an empty bootle. And even after that, the driver was complaining and forcing me to tip a big amount after all his bs. Never again, thank you Mr.Bishop.

Never visited this store before! Talk about a one stop shop for all your party needs. Everything from balloons to food, all kinds of decor items for parties. Very impressed and all the staff who assisted me were very friendly and helpful. Definitely, will be my first stop next time I'm planning a party.

These people have an illegal notice on display. No business has the right to search only the right to detain if suspected of shoplifting until the police arrive to preform a lawful search. I’ve reported it. I would be wary of any business that posts an illegal notice. It violates consumer rights.

It was my first time shopping for birthday decorations, and I was completely lost, but Celeste at Party City was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and patient, walking with me through the store, asking thoughtful questions, and helping me figure out exactly what I needed. Rude customer service I came twice to pick up an arrangement for my daughter’s birthday in the morning she was rude I thought ok it’s a bad morning and I said it’s ok we have time I will back later please, she was oh I don’t even have your order here, I already paid 5 days before. Later I came back and the destroyed the arrangement she didn’t even call or something to offer a solution .. she waited that I came back to let me know that the main character of the balloons is not working! Then she laughing said have a good day!! Racist and zero customer service! Caucasian, middle age, wearing glasses. Party city I hope you can do something! I just read Amanda the manager is the one treating everybody like that!

We picked up our balloons for 10amthe morning of the party. The party was 1pm-4pm.

By 3 pm most of the helium balloons were in the garbage or on the floor.. I estimate the helium balloons floated for almost 4 hours. Sometimenbetween 3-4 hours they lost the ability to float. Some of the balloons weren't tied right and when we pulled on the ribbon it unraveled from the balloon...then the balloon was also untied and quickly deflated.

Customer service regarding this issue was lacking. Definitely not worth the $30 we paid!

This is a cozy little spot for authentic Italian sweets. They’ve got a big variety of pastries, cakes, chocolates, and other treats, everything feels like it was made by someone’s Italian grandma lol. They might not look super fancy, but they taste amazing. The place is also known for its gelato, though I didn’t get a chance to try it this time. The staff were friendly and helpful, patiently explaining what’s in each item. I was really happy with what I ordered and will definitely be back to try more. The vibe is warm and homey, kind of like being at grandma’s house. There are a few tables in the back, and some paid street parking nearby.

Visited this place multiple times and never been disappointed. From horn rolls to cakes, everything is delicious. The gelato here is equally exceptional—rich, creamy, and full of unique flavors that you won’t find elsewhere. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that makes each visit memorable. It's a gem of a spot, perfect for treating yourself or sharing sweet moments with loved ones.

Really enjoyed the gelato here. This Italian bakery has a great selection of treats and sweets, from pastries to cakes. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, especially when I mentioned my nut allergy. They took extra care, which I really appreciated. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Little Italy.

Advertising cannoli "made fresh"but that's not the case. "Summer drinks" (strawberry daiquiri and "blue raspberry martini") seemed taken right out of the most complicated recipe book, three staff to figure out the recipes despite being on the menu. Served in the least probable glasses for such drinks. Two other clients behind us ordering coffees and that also seemed to be highly confusing. Perhaps ensuring staff is trained on menu items prior to advertising them.

Fantastic cannolis but average gelato

This little gem of pastry and gelato is nestled in the heart of Ottawa’s Little Italy district. The cannoli are the real standout—crispy, golden shells filled with a rich, velvety ricotta mixture that strikes the perfect balance between sweet and tangy. Each bite is a delightful contrast of textures, with just the right dusting of powdered sugar and a hint of citrus zest.

The gelato, while refreshing, doesn’t quite reach the same heights. The flavors are decent but lack the depth and creaminess of truly great artisanal gelato. Some varieties feel a bit muted, and the texture leans slightly icy rather than the smooth, dense consistency you’d hope for.

On the plus side, their coffee and lattes are a pleasant surprise. Whether you opt for a classic espresso, a creamy cappuccino, or a perfectly frothed latte, the coffee is rich, bold, and well-balanced—just what you’d expect from a café in Little Italy.

With its charming atmosphere, warm service, and top-notch pastries, this spot is a great choice for a sweet treat and a well-made coffee. Skip the gelato, grab a cannoli and a latte, and enjoy a little taste of Italy in Ottawa.

It is one of the best bakeries in town, if not the best. French bread and treats, gorgeous cakes, and pastries. I love this spot in Ottawa East End! Products are always fresh, and service is fast.

I ordered a two-layer cake for my son’s First Communion, requesting the bottom layer be chocolate and the top layer vanilla, as many of my guests, especially the children, prefer chocolate. However, both layers were vanilla. I paid $163 plus tax for the cake, which I felt was a premium price, and had to order additional chocolate desserts for my guests at the restaurant.
When I called the patisserie to complain, I was told to email a picture, which I did. They offered a 10% discount on my next order but stated there was nothing more they could do. I was disappointed with the lack of resolution, especially given the high price I paid. I declined the offer as I won’t be returning. This experience has left me questioning their customer service and commitment to customer satisfaction as it seems they are more focused on financial transactions than on ensuring the quality outcome of their products and service.

Best place in town to get desserts. Whenever I got a sweet tooth and need it satisfied this is the place! If your in tge area and want something sweet you should head here you wont be disappointed. Also has cakes and freshly baked breads.

We have supported this patisserie even at their old location. We are from the south end of Ottawa and it takes us roughly around 30 mins to get there, one way.
We particularly enjoy the lemon meringue pie and their spring cake and so much more. They have prepared my daughters birthday cake, which turned out well.
I could remember ordering a cake for my spouses birthday. (He is bilingual and I am not)
They have misspelled the greeting on the cake, which i didn't noticed until my husband was about to blow his candle. And that's okay.
Our most recent experience, we ordered the seasonal Valentine cake, it was advertised on their Facebook webpage and we ordered it. I opened the box at home and I noticed some elements were missing compared to what was advertised. (Yes, petty! I know!)
I had high esteem for the place but, these experiences made me disappointed.
We messaged them and none of the staff reached out to us.
I am not seeking for compensation or a refund, rather an acknowledgement from the team, and they can't serve subpar products, especially when they have steep prices.
(The seasonal cake was visually appealing, but very sweet.)

The crust is buttery and crisp, the custard is silky smooth, and the fresh fruits on top are always vibrant and perfectly ripe.

Their bread selection is also incredible—whether you're picking up a classic baguette or something more artisanal, you can taste the quality and freshness in every bite.

Patisserie Fine Delice Royal truly sets the bar high for bakeries, not just in Orleans but anywhere. It’s a gem of a place that combines excellent service, cleanliness, and mouthwatering baked goods to create an experience that keeps me coming back for more. I’ve been a loyal customer since we moved here, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

We were visiting Ottawa from Toronto and my uncle recommended Patisserie Le Caramel for their backlava. Having lived in the Middle East before we had commented that many other bakeries made their backlava very sweet with excessive sugar syrup and not enough nut filling. What a wonderful surprise to then taste the backlava from Patisserie!!! The nut filling quantity was excellent, crispy backlava layers and sweetened just right!!! We were so happy to try this hidden gem and had a lovely conversation with the owner Ali. He was so friendly, appreciated our comments and was happy that we expressed such joy in finding delicious backlava after such a long time! Next time we are back in Ottawa, we will definely stop by again!

Very disappointed in the service provided to me today. I went in looking to get my ring inspected as it looks like there is a fracture in the main diamond. The employee quickly brushed me off by saying it was just dirty. I tried to explain the issue looked to be inside the Diamond. She puts it under the microscope and continues to deny any issue although a large opaque spot is very visible. I point this out to her and she again says it’s just dirty and proceeds to clean it. She put its back under the microscope and says the mark is “gone” however it is just easier to see. She tells me this is a “birth mark” and there is nothing she can do. However we have paid for the warranty and have had this ring for weeks now and never noticed the mark until today. Instead of using the warranty she asks asks me if I want to buy something else and is pushing a sale on me for more money. I walked away very disappointed and feeling like I am now stuck with a broken Diamond, even though we paid for the $375 warranty.

Perch did not disappoint! From start to finish, every dish was tasteful done and full of flavor. Different textures, different flavours, different temperatures all worked together!

Service was attentive and each dish was explained in great detail. We were able to see the chefs work and plate each dish carefully. Even tho we were there for over 3 hours, it felt much shorter.

I will definitely be back for tasting menus in the future! Thanks Perch!

My partner and I enjoyed a 9 course dinner at Perch this weekend, and we were extremely pleased with the food, service, and ambiance of this Ottawa restaurant. My personal favourite course was the “Bison three ways” course—the donut was absolutely incredible. We have a few Michelin worthy restaurants in the city, and Perch is definitely one of them. Thanks to the Perch team for making my birthday dinner a special one, cheers!

Thrilled with our dining experience at Perch: food, ambience, service and sustainability were incredible. We enjoyed the blind menu with the traditional drink pairings (wine, cocktails and saki). Each course was presented beautifully and offered a journey of flavours and textures; a real dream. The team was attentive and knowledgeable. It was great to see dishes being prepared in the open kitchen; real artistry. My only regret is not finding this restaurant sooner. I can’t wait to go back!

Liked it but wanted to love it! A few dishes just didn’t hit the marks for our group and we left feeling slightly unsatisfied food wise. The ambiance/drinks were fantastic however and it was a very fun experience.

We started with turnips. I thought it was a perfect dish to prepare the palate. Fresh, acidic, great texture on the turnip.

Next came the macaron which to two members of our table was the star of the show. The macaron itself was incredible - slightly chewy yet still crunchy so it held together great. The mousse was delicious.

This was followed up by the salmon which our table didn’t enjoy. The cauliflower pudding was more on the frozen/iced side, which texture wise contrasted a little too much with the salmon. The salmon itself was also not my favourite as it was a bit on the fishier and smokier side, although one person at our table did really enjoy the salmon itself.

The chawanmushi was next which again wasn’t greatly appreciated by any of the table. It was good, the pork was tasty and the clams had a great texture. It was a very subtle dish - maybe it wasn’t greatly appreciated just due to the flavour being more on the mild side and it wasn’t very warm. Think we would have appreciated a warm soup or hot broth following the iced pudding dish.

The following raviolo was a big hit. Flavour wise it packed a punch, the mushrooms added a great texture, and all of its components felt cohesive. We did think however the aerated sauce here didn’t seem to contribute to the dish, but it was greatly enjoyed nonetheless.

The following tuna was perfectly cooked as well. The char on the bok choy contributed well and the crunch of the cucumber gave a nice addition. Only complaint here was the sauce was a bit too much on the buttery side. I think following up the flavour bomb that was the raviolo sauce we would have appreciated a more fresh and acidic dish here.

The caviar & beef was amazing. Loved to finally try a take on the famous French laundry cornet. The matane shrimp cone texture was perfectly crunchy yet not to the point of falling apart. The tartare was flavourful, with the caviar adding a nice topping.

The lamb was good. Maybe a bit under-salted and unfortunately the knives provided proved difficult to slice the lamb and near impossible to slice the Swiss chard. The barley risotto and puffed rice here were excellent components. All members of our table enjoyed the dish however we maybe were be hoping to be wowed by the final dish.

The dessert was just okay. Quite subtle flavour wise and the ice cream was almost too cold for the cake - as the rye cake itself was also on the colder side. It would have been better with a hot cake to contrast the coldness of the ice cream.

Overall the takeaways from the group were that another fresh acidic style dish would have been appreciated as in general the overarching flavour theme seemed to be more on the umami and savoury side. The flavours were more subtle with the dishes that packed a punch flavour wise (Raviolo/Macaron) being the standouts. For a cold winter night I think we would have wanted a warm heartier dish at some point as well. The chawanmushi I suppose maybe tried to fill this role but it wasn’t very warm. The sauce components that contributed to the dishes were either cold or room temperature.

Definitely a great place to visit for the seafood loving gourmand. We rolled in for a Sunday dinner and enjoyed the heck out of the tasting course. Lots of Japanese influence and highly detailed flavour combinations. The sauces in particular really made dishes pop, either contrasting a particular protein or creating an interesting series of bites. Expect largely local ingredients and odd preparations. There was near the end an enjoyable sourdough bread sauce for example. The price for the nine courses is pretty much the current benchmark so that's great too.

Sadly I have to agree with the dismal reviews about this company. I have been dealing with the Toronto office about my brother's car insurance in the wake of his death. They were happy to maintain the insurance while I was arranging for transfer of ownership. But when I communicated to the information.client email address that I wanted to cancel the insurance effective immediately I received no response, and was then charged for another month. They refuse to reimburse this. I asked for a manager to call me back and was told this would happen within 2 days. That was 3 weeks ago. Nada. And no response to my subsequent emails. Moreover, they've refused to provide any confirmation in writing (i.e. via email) that the account had been terminated. Incredible!

I have been with this company for over 10 years. Never called them and never made a claim other than to add more drivers. Received a big document with many pages from them to fill with the same information they already have on file so I simply ignored as I saw no point. A few weeks after I received a rude email crafted by a rude person apparently asking me to look for another company because I didn't fill their multi pages document on time.

I called them to ensure they will indeed cancel my policy on time as it didn't take more than 1 hour to find a much better rate than what I was paying.

This company used to be super nice but apparently they got new rude management.

PROMOTE- As retired military, Personal Insurance seemed a good fit. This company promotes "Military rates"... their rate was below my current.
PITCH- Grace of first at fault accident, with no increase on policy payments.
Well, unfortunately I did have an at fault.
GRAB- Then my premium went up, well above the average increase.
I was told the increase was underwritten with 1. at fault accident 2. inflation.
Quote from associate..." you are responsible for a % of free at fault, its not completely free"
NEGLIGENCE- I received no notice of the increase. No email or hard copy. They just took the increase amount with no regard to my monthly budget...bouncing other monthly payments of their policy holders is not an issue for this company, neither is lying.

Do not use this company absolute nightmare to deal with. If you make a claim they will do anything not to pay you and agent do not call you back

I asked for an annual report of how much I paid in insurance premiums for my policies for 2024 The first two reps were of zero help, the third one copied pasted instructions I already knew which involved requiring me to calculate the exact premium myself. Other insurance companies provide such reports without asking. I am taking my business elsewhere!

Fabulous food at fair prices. I have done takeout more times than I can count. Wish they were open earlier, later and additional days. Hamburger steak and mashed, as well as Philly steak sandwich and steak Diane are highly recommended.

The food was spectacular. We were a group of 7. The waitress was on the ball and just served all without a hiccup.

Showed up on Friday night not knowing the place. Nice hall... a few tables were dining, one group. Every customer seemed happy and joyful. Requested takeout and I was well taken care of. Food was delicious.

Chef Peter and his team catered our wedding reception at Maple Hall, and they did a fantastic job. People raved about the food all night, the prices were very reasonable, and the team was so flexible and accommodating throughout the entire process. We will definitely go back to Chef Peter and his team for any future catering needs that we may have. I would give six stars if I could!

We hired Peter's kitchen for our 50th wedding anniversary. We wanted a roast beef dinner for our 32 guests....Peter and his staff did an excellent job at a decent price point, food was also outstanding. We would higly recommend them...R. Fortier

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Love all the pieces i've been able to buy over the years. Geneviève is an amazing artist. I've given pieces as gifts and of course I've gifted myself - and I would recommend this lovely little shop and this amazing artist to anyone who wants beautiful unique handmade jewellery.

I received one of the most gorgeous bouquets ever with various stems of purple (my favourite colour) and distinctive greenery. It came arranged beautifully with each stem having its own water casing and a mix of open & tight flowers & today the irises opened up. Phulera Dola is definitely worth a five star rating.

I was not able to attend the grand opening of my friend’s new sushi shop nearby so I emailed two places on bank street to see if they are able to help me send some love. Phulero Dola called back very promptly and help me gather something with only a day’s notice. My friend is very happy with the arrangement and sent me these two pictures. Thank you!

Excellent!! I bought my girlfriend flowers from here for Valentine’s Day, great service and the flowers were fresh. My girlfriend loved the arrangement and said that she loved how they incorporated unique flowers. Very well done and will be coming back!

Great arrangements at an affordable price. Their selection might cost $10 more elsewhere and they have cute mini bouquets in tiny vases as well. Bouquet comes with complimentary cards and today I was even given a free apple! Will check out again I’m sure.

I had a lovely experience first time experience! I was greeted at the door by Maddie (spelling not sure) who was very kind and offered me tea/coffee/water which was an excellent first impression. She also gave me a tour of the salon and introduced me to the stylists, which made me feel welcome!

Chantal did an amazing job on my hair cut and the price I paid for the quality of service was quite reasonable. Will most definitely come back!

I had an incredible experience getting my haircut and balayage done! The two ladies who worked on me were so kind and attentive, especially my stylist Nikki — she truly made me feel comfortable and listened to exactly what I wanted. The owner was also very nice and really made me feel welcome. The atmosphere and energy in the salon were so positive and uplifting, it made the whole experience even better. I absolutely love how my hair turned out and will definitely be visiting again!

I had such a great experience getting my haircut ! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. Pierino really listened to what I wanted and offered helpful suggestions based on my hair type. The cut turned out even better than I imagined—clean, flattering, and easy to style.

Melissa did a layered cut that suits my face shape and added a warm toner that removed the yellow highlights. The cut is easy maintenance and flows beautifully. The products at this salon are all sublime.

My family and i stayed at the Pine Tree View bungalow while we were visiting town for a funeral. My husbands uncle died and left us $4000 if we showed up to his funeral and we wanted to use the cash to take our kids on a cruise. Anyway, we showed up thursday night and found the keys under the ceramic frog like the instructions said. What we first noticed was the strange smell coming from what we thought was the basement. We told our children to avoid the basement and slipped them Benadryl in their orange juice. After they passed out, hubby and i got busy in the purple living room and drank wine while describing the things we could do to each other on our romantic family disney cruise we could finally go on after his hick uncle died. lets just say that black leather couch is COMFORTABLE ;) anyways, the next morning we found the owners in the kitchen, turns out they were in the basement the whole time. I think they heard hubby and I the night before LOL. So yeah, if you want a cheap exhibitionistic stay for your husbands hick uncles funeral this is for sure the place for you

Great place to stay off the beaten path. Good for families, or couples. House has cable, fireplace, kitchen, dining and two washrooms. Backyard is amazing and the owners are very accommodating and polite.

Very nice place to stay if you have an event outside of Ottawa and at a reasonable price. Stayed here for a night while attending a wedding and slept great.

The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable and I appreciate how much time they spent to make sure we felt comfortable. The store has fairly good selection for a variety of different sizes. It would be cool if they had more size variety in the leather harnesses however.

Omg I was recommended to visit here by a friend and I’m so happy I dropped in. They have an amazing selection of lingerie for plus size women. I was in love with all the things I tried on! And customer service was also a 10/10. They are very really sweet and helpful!

Not good, not bad, just a bit of a weird experience. They were able to help me find what I was looking for, but when it came to trying it on to make sure it fit, I wanted to use the change room so I didn't have to be judged and stared at while I struggle to attempt to try on what I wanted because I knew I would, but I was told " everyone just tries things on in the front over their clothes" so I felt pressured to do so and it was an overall very awkward experience because they were pointing out how I was putting it on wrong, which I didn't need or appreciate. This was the exact experience that I was trying to avoid by using the change room. Don't go here alone, or this may be your experience lol.

Saw this place on my way home from work, though "Eh, might as well." Not expecting to buy anything. Little did I know I'd stay for nearly an hour having a fun conversation with the cashier and a new toy. Really nice place, good variety of products, LGBTQ+ friendly, staff that is very accommodating and not the kind the forces you to buy products.

AMAZING STORE. I bought my 2 daughter's prom dresses here and I was impressed by the personal service and the choices and quality of the dresses this store has to offer. Both time, we took an hour appointment with the owner and each time my daughter had time to try different styles she liked and see the different colors available. Once you choose the style you like and the color, they will make the dress to fit your size. They also keep a log of which school you come from, so another girl from your school doesn't buy the same dress. The owner is very nice and experienced and gives great advice. She listens to what you like and don't like and come up with "The dress". Both times my daughters found their dream dresses here within an hour. No stress, no pressure and we didn't feel we needed to go anywhere else. There was a nice couch for me to sit down and look at the different styles my daughter tried on in front of a huge mirror. It was peaceful as we were by ourselves in the store with no other customers, 1:1 with the owner. Excellent quality and prices were very reasonable too. Don't wait too long to go before your prom because they need time to make the dress for you. (I would suggest to go before the end February if you want it custom made but you can check with them) They can also do small adjustments, if needed, when the dress arrives. You can also buy off the rack if you are too close to your prom date and they can do adjustments.

Small boutique, a quiet personal experience. The owner knows what she's talking about and the quality beats out bigger box wedding dress stores. We found the dress!! She even did up a sketch so we could see the changes that we made to the dress. Awesome experience and definitely would recommend!
