My first solo travelling trip and I chose Ottawa, to include the Canadian tulip festival. I had the privilege of staying at the Charing House Gardens BNB. As a solo female traveller I appreciated the utmost privacy and security given. I felt safe to come and go as I wished throughout my stay.
The room was super clean and very spacious with enough room for work and meals.
To top the wonderful space and lush bed, I received a lovely breakfast every morning that I was able to enjoy at my own time and pace.
This is a top notch BNB with service so much better than any hotel can offer.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights to visit Ottawa and we really enjoyed the whole experience! The room and bathroom were fully equipped, clean and tidy. Tasty breakfast with fresh fruit that we could enjoy in the beautiful garden. We could also use the tandem bike to the city centre, a real adventure! Olivia and Ron were very hospitable and caring for us on our stay and we will keep a good memory in to this warm place! Perfect hosts 😊

This place is an absolute must stay in the Ottawa area! The friendly owner greets you at the door and takes you up a grand staircase to the clean welcoming rooms upstairs, comfortable beds and your own washroom. Candies and coffee of plenty! And the cutest breakfast ever await you in the morning in your mini fridge! (Just like mom use to make) loved every minute of our stay!

Huge thank you to the owners. After finding myself in need of accommodations very last minute I was welcomed into the Charing House later on in the evening. We (myself and my brother) were welcomed into the B&B with comfortable rooms and were offered ride to our destination which saved me money in addition to the great breakfast that we had on route as graciously prepared by Olivia.

I would absolutely recommend this location for your travels.

My husband and I stayed at Charing House Gardens B&B 22 to 25 September 2020. Olivia was very hospitable and provided a breakfast basket that was more than ample. The B&B is nicely decorated and very clean. There is much attention paid to pleasing details. We highly recommend this B&B. Thank you Olivia!

Horrible customer service. We visited this store a few days ago and immediately felt uncomfortable due to the behaviour of one of the staff members. Rather than greeting or assisting us, he followed us very closely throughout the store, watching us intently the entire time as if we were going to steal. Since all the merchandise was behind glass, it was unclear why we were being monitored so closely. At first, I assumed he was trying to be available in case we needed help, but he never spoke or offered assistance—just hovered right next to us, staring us down and making us feel more like suspects than customers. What made the situation worse was that there were several other shoppers in the store that were left to browse freely. We appeared to be the only ones receiving this kind of attention, which felt especially uncomfortable given that we were the only people of color in the store. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but the disparity in treatment was hard to ignore. We had come in intending to buy a meaningful Mother's Day gift but ended up leaving due to how uncomfortable we felt with this worker. We ultimately spent over $6000 at Michael Hill on jewellery for my mother, where the staff was far more helpful and respectful. I can't recommend Charm Diamond Centres based on our experience. Overall, very poor customer service and an unwelcoming atmosphere. Save your money for somewhere else.

I had given them a tie clip to engrave with "Beloved" for my Son. It was a very poor engraving job that read "Eeloved". Instead of just admitting it was a poor job and maybe giving me a discount, she tried to force me to admit it read "Beloved". I paid and gave her the tie clip to do with as she pleased. I was so upset I forgot to take a picture ... but perhaps that is just as well.

I left my watch,which is an heirloom from my grandmother, to have the batteries changed. Turns out,the guy don't know how to change or even open it and left a dent on my watch. Such a great service really! 🤨 Don't leave any of your jewelries or watches here! I was not in the mood to complain in the store but I am letting you guys know.

Typically not one to write reviews however the service, honesty, integrity, among others things I received from Pal was top notch. My family has been going to this store for the past 10-15 years and have dealt solely with Pal - and I went in as I was referred by my family - and I’m happy I did. She is so genuine in terms of helping you find the right item. I’ve been to other stores and felt pushed and upsold on things I did not want. But Pal listened to what type of item I was looking for, I gave her a budget - and within a few minutes she presented me with a variety of options. After crossing some items off the list (by a mix of my needs and her recommendations) she helped me purchase the perfect item. Pal should be recognized for her customer service skills and commitment to Charm. Thanks Pal.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Went in to see if I could have my wedding set cleaned as I was in the mall and they did not hesitate to assist. My bands looked sparkly and brand new . Kuddos to the amazing staff at Billings Bridge Ottawa location

Nice hotel, the people working at the desk were kind and welcoming! It was pricey but the room was nice and clean which is great. The only thing that was strange is that when we arrived, there was barely any parking space. There was a worker in the orange vest that was guiding people to where to park, we were told to go to a spot but it was not available. When we said that to the worker, he snapped at us and redirected us to another one. Other than that it was nice, especially the spa downstairs!

Came here for a night on our honeymoon roadtrip. A Very friendly lady, Suzanne, checked us in and made us feel very welcomed to be there.

Room was very clean, and we got the spa package for access to the outdoor baths.

Would recommend for a couple's trip 👍

The hotel is well maintained and clean, rooms are nice.
I gave 3 stars because they haven't clarified anywhere that pool Access is not included with " Resort". You'll have to pay 49+ tax per person on weekends. So add 110 $ extra to your budget if you are a couple.

After spending that much, the facility is surely enjoyable.

It's an old refurbished building with an ok room and comfortable beds. The breakfast was 1 star (burned egg sandwiche and charcoal fries) but good service. It was surrounded by terrible traffic (I mean, really bad) and taxi driver said it's always the same. The view to the golf course is blocked by a dark fence. I would say a 3 star hotel. Almost empty at the beginning of September.

I was originally worried reading some of the reviews but there was nothing to worry about and our stay was great! As a first time visitor to Gatineau, we hit the Jackpot for accommodations. The double queen sized beds were perfect, the room and restroom clean, and the location amazing - 12 minutes from the city, 6 minutes from the nearest museum, and away from the busy roads. The rooms are affordable so definitely spend your evenings at the Koena Spa bathhouse at this resort. There are discount prices weekday evenings (4 hour at the thermal baths and other amenities) and I couldn't believe the quality of the Spa. I don't have to fly down south for a great getaway! The massages were on the lighter side so go for deep tissue if you want some level of pressure.

Chantal made our wedding cake and it was a hit! Each tier had delicious flavours which we were able to customize with Chantal's help. She made helpful recommendations in terms of serving size and flavour profiles, and she created a beautiful nature aesthetic with our wedding florals. The cake was moist and the buttercream was perfectly sweet. Thank you Chantal!

I cannot say enough about Jeff and Chantal. Their venue is absolutely gorgeous! They supported the SFDCI Grad party for 2025 with their venue. The animals, the photo opportunities, their recommendation of DJ truly made the night one to remember!!

We have so many amazing things to say about Chantal and Chateau Mille Fleurs. Her venue is absolutely stunning, the combination of wildflowers and landscaping made for a beautiful atmosphere for our wedding. Her alpacas and chickens made for a hilarious conversation with friends and family! Setting up and taking down was quick and easy, as Chantal has many amazing decorations for your use.

Chantal herself was perfect. Very easy to reach when we had questions and always made us feel welcome and supported our vision. Her creativity was very welcoming and she even made us a stunning (and tasty) wedding cake! Our wedding day couldn’t have gone better as she help coordinate our day!

Wedding date – August 24, 2024 and I would get married at Chateau Mille Fleurs over and over again - everything I envisioned as a DIY wedding bride came to fruition.

We were originally going to host it on our own property and when the search began, we landed directly on Chateau Mille Fleurs and looked no further. BUT being a DIY, we actually did look further and did all the research we needed, initial contact with the venue, google image searches to see what the property looked like and then met with the owner going over the wedding package along with a walkabout on the property.

My husband and I are very outdoorsy, we understand the rules of nature and subsequent impact of the weather. Ultimately, we wanted an outdoor rustic wedding and we knew that things could happen and change on a dime so when I sent my invitations out to our family and friends, I described it as such so they would know what to expect. All of my guests loved the wedding venue! Just try and remember the Thermacell Mosquito Shield - we kind of forgot them!

I was in constant communication with Chantal with everything surrounding the planning of the wedding, and what we needed to do to make it happen. On our last meeting before the wedding, I brought my mother-in-law with me so she could also be a part of the planning process and together we took Chantals input and suggestions on décor selection and table design and addressed last minute items.

The set-up day was exactly what we expected, instruction and guidance from Chantal on the table set-up and design and decorating the wedding vow exchange area. All of this was done with lots of laughs between Chantal and I and all of our helping hands! The morning of the wedding I was back for some last additions to the venue and to check on everything and it was perfect!

Chantal also decorated the new curved head table for us as she wanted to try something new and made the most amazing delicious wedding cake. Chantal new my vision and I trusted her in her creations. So, from the beautiful unique bar to the food serving area, to our caterer – DialaChef Erick Le Pors to our incredible DJ – Guy Menard – we literally had “The Time of My Life”. The campfire pit, the animals and the games for the little ones were so appreciated as well. To Chantal and Jeff – thank you for making our wedding special and being there for absolutely everything – it was perfect!

My husband and I got married at Chateau Mille Fleurs in October, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice!

We are living in BC and wanted to find a venue that would make it easy for us to plan from afar. Given that Chantal has so much decor to choose from and expertise, we got exactly the experience we needed and wanted. Chantal was extremely responsive, flexible and was always open to all of my ideas for our big day! For context, we started with the DIY package, and added on the day of coordination services in the end which was a great relief and we did not regret it.

It was truly a magical day for us that we wish we could relive again and again! We had so many friends and family tell us how picturesque and laidback the venue was. It feels like you're having a wedding in your own backyard, but way more elevated ✨ which is exactly what we were going for.

The cake Chantal made for us was a dream! I sent her inspo from my Pinterest and she replicated the cake so beautifully, with three different flavours for each tier. Amazing!

Now for my husband's more analytical review:

1. In this market, we would consider this a budget friendly option for someone who doesn't want to do everything themselves (gathering decorations, dishes, etc.)

2. It's an outdoor venue, so expect a few hiccups that are out of everyone's control. Knowing this, plan for the unknown. We had a backup plan figured out with Chantal in case of rain on the day of the ceremony (luckily it rained the evening before).

3. You get what you pay for - read the contract and expect that service. Chantal is very clear about what she offers dependant on the package. We felt that she went above our expectations but we knew we would be getting our hands dirty with the set up, tear down etc. We made a game plan ahead of time, so when our outside help showed up, Chantal was able to direct us while also being helpful.

4. Pay for the bar help! This service was very appreciated and didn't tie up any of our friends or family from having to be stationed at the bar. Chantal's family bartenders were super friendly and efficient with serving our guests.

5. Chantal's recommendation for our caterer, Dial A Chef was a huge hit - 10/10 recommend. It was incredible working with two vendors that know each other well and made the event so seamless.

We would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for an elevated backyard wedding venue! Thank you so much Chantal & the Chateau Mille Fleurs team ❤️

If you are looking for stunning, high quality and ethically sourced jewellery and want to support a talented, kind and professional artist then I strongly recommend Chayle!

We went to Chayle a while back for my custom engagement ring. It was such a good experience that we went to her again for my husbands custom wedding band and all three of our rings are wonderful. I have yet to resize my engagement ring so it is 2 sizes larger than my wedding band in these photos.

Quality of work: Chayle makes computer renderings of design iterations that really help inform the process. She balances creativity with functionality and has an excellent eye for detail. All three rings together are stunning in composition and flawless in their execution.

Ethical sourcing: Chayle sources her material with fastidious care. During a recent global event that compromised the sources of certain materials, she immediately reached out to each of her suppliers to explicitly ensure that nothing brought into her shop was impacted and still met her incredibly high standards.

Professionalism and care: Chayle is just a very kind human. During each interaction, it was abundantly clear how much she cared about our experience. She not only met the needs we knew to express for our rings, but also brought up numerous points we hadn't realized needed to be accounted for when it comes to something worn daily.

In sum, great work, great artist, highly recommend!!!

We had a wonderful experience working with Chayle! We've always admired her products and work, so when it came time to design/create our wedding bands (not the engagement ring), Chayle was the first person we thought of.

She was able to turn our rough concepts into beautiful gold rings that were so uniquely us.

This project meant a lot to me because we also had my father's wedding ring melted down and added to our new bands. They turned out perfectly!

I cannot say enough good things about Chayle and the work that she does. Her attention to detail is incredible, she cares about her clients and I will definitely be hiring her again!

We had an amazing ring shopping experience with Chayle! She custom designed our rings for our elopement in BC. I had a very specific textured look in mind for my band and she exceeded my expectations. Communication was very prompt. It was a joy to work with Chayle on my ring project. I had an old family ring that I wanted to update and she patiently led me to a design that I was thrilled with. The final ring was beyond my initial hopes and I proudly wear it every day. It was a beautiful thing to help me stay connected to my family and also create a ring that I love! I would highly recommend Chayle’s work for her impeccable craftsmanship, creativity, and thoughtful interactions.

Chayle designed both my engagement ring and wedding band and the experience was such a delight! My now-husband proposed with the intention of designing a ring together. We contacted a few designers but found they weren't transparent or just didn't vibe with what we were thinking. With just a few consultations, Chayle designed and created the engagement ring of my dreams. She really listened to what I wanted and was very patient. I was involved in selecting the design, the stone, the metal, etc.

When it came time for my wedding band, she was the only choice. She used my mother's and mother-in-law's diamonds to create a band that fit with the "nature" theme of my engagement ring. Now I own 2 very unique pieces of jewelry that I cherish forever. I'm very grateful for the experience of being involved with my rings and we already have projects in mind that we'll need her for!

BONUS: her office is dog-friendly so even our dog was involved in the planning and designing lol.

Ordered catering for a small wedding and it was delicious! Our guests loved the food and the staff were very kind and efficient when the order was picked up :) Happy that we got a great lunch and supported a good cause

First time eating at Chef Ric's restaurant. Butter chicken was served for lunch, which was absolutely delicious at a very affordable price! Students worked hard and provided excellent customer service. It's a small place and I wish there were more seating options. From this experience, I would definitely return to try different food menu.

We ordered boxed lunches from Chef Ric’s Catering for our CHEO Research Institute family volunteers picnic today, and they were perfect! The egg salad was my personal favorite! They did a fabulous job labeling each box according to our dietary needs. Ordering was easy and smooth, pickup was a breeze, and the price fit perfectly within our budget. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend to other organizations!

If I was able to give more than five stars - I would! The staff was incredible. Friendly, efficient and professional - delightful to have in my home. The clean up was better than I would do! The food was great and my guests were really happy! I should have expected nothing less from Chef Ric and his team. Chef Ric is a true Ottawa treasure!

Great time and fun experience. Went here for me and my girlfriend’s third year anniversary and it was an incredible time. We ordered an appetizer as well as two mains. She got a ricotta ravioli and I got a seafood risotto. Both were excellent and full of flavour. We also had the seasonal soup, which was also very good. After our meals, the staff helped bring out a surprise anniversary cake that my girlfriend had brought in earlier; They didn’t charge a cut-fee or anything to store the cake, which was very sweet. Great experience and great staff. They helped us enjoy a great anniversary overall. Definitely recommend trying this place out.

We absolutely loved our dinner here. We opted to share appetizers and every single one was delicious. Our server was friendly as well, and offered some off-menu mocktails which tasted great too. The food, service, ambience are all 10/10 - looking forward to coming back!

The atmosphere was nice and lovely. I liked the jazz music. I would say the service was a little less than standard. I went with a pretty big group and for the standard of the restaurant the service was not so great. I did really enjoy the profiterole and the shrimp risotto. My main course was the lobster bisque but wasn’t as good. A lot of my friends also didn’t fancy the food.

I cannot say enough good things about Chez Lionel Kanata location. I highly recommend this place for brunch. If you're into more "crunchy" food - i recommend not ordering the Benedict as it's very "soft" textured - which I love! But some may be more used to the crunchier texture of bread rather than soft. I also wanted to mention that I think the waiter forgot to ask how we like our eggs - but it was still fine. I think my friend prefers her poached eggs a little more on the medium/soft side.

We are definitely going to come back!

We were a little disappointed with our meal at Chez Lionel. We had heard such great things but we were let down.

Cons:
-I ordered the duck breast. My duck was uncooked, the rice side was burnt to a crisp, and the meal overall tasteless. My replacement meal of the risotto was a 5/10 with it being overcooked but it was still edible.
-There were many malts that were listed on the menu but the server let us know only one was actually available.
-it took our poor server (and eventually the manager) 11 times to take our payment as their POS system was not working with multiple efforts from multiple machines.

Pros:
-We arrived for our reservation right on time and the hostess was sweet and guided us right to our table. No wait. It was not overly full but still busy enough. They placed us in a corner near the bar that was perfect for as we wanted some quiet.
-Our server was an older gentleman who definitely look tired but experienced. He had shared he had a few late evenings with some sports, which as sports fans we understood, but he did come off a bit direct (which we were okay with but some may not have enjoyed his personality). He was quick to get us some drinks and answer our questions on the menu.
-The manager was quick to replace my uncooked meal, she was understanding and took my feedback kindly and respectfully.
-My replacement meal came out quickly and was met with the manager confirming it was to satisfaction.
-Drinks were yummy.

We wouldn’t rush back to Chez Lionel, I think if you wanted an app, or a drink it would be a great spot. When I asked about the chef I was told they had been through approximately 4 chefs since open, and many staffer, so I would think some things across the board are being changed or worked on.

Cathy & Lindsay from Chic and Swell were very pleasant to work with, were flexible when we wanted changes made and, provided a beautiful final product. All of the pieces we rented from them were beautiful and made our venue SHINE!!! 10/10 recommend this decorating company!!

They are the best event planners in Ottawa. Highly recommend.

Got the pistachio cake for my birthday. Pretty good, but could’ve had a stronger pistachio flavour. The cake was amazing value for $38.

I recommend this bakery if you like simple and yummy. Chippers is probably not the right place if you have a highly refined palate.

I had the snickerdoodle cookie for $4.85. The cookie was humongous and perfectly cooked (soft inside which a crunch on the outside). Chippers is a better and cheaper version of Crumbl.

Amazing cookies, we tried 6 different flavours and they were all great!! The portions are enormous (bigger than some other popular cookie brand), I recommend this bakery a lot! The picture is just what was left by the time I thought to take one, but so worth it!

Cookies are really good and big. Even after days of getting them the cookies were still soft and moist.

It can be easily shared on how big the cookies are, approximately the size of my palm. Some of the flavours are really sweet tho, I am personally not a big fan of sweets so for me it was abit too much.

It's better to go pick up some cookies way before closing because if not you won't have all the flavours left.

We got 6 cookies for 24$.

Great service. We got there only 10-20 minutes after opening and plain chocolate chips cookies were already sold out! Our favourite was the smoker doodle and mini eggs.

Decent place. The cookie was very large and almost the size of my palm. I ordered the old fashioned chocolate chip cookie. It’s crunchy and a bit dry on the outside and soft inside. I expected it to be more sweet and also there were less chocolate chips. I have had better chocolate chip cookies. I am interested to try red velvet cookie if I am around this area.

I was very nervous finding a seamstress I could trust for my wedding gown. Thanks to some good reviews I took a chance with Christiane and so happy I did! She was such a pleasure to deal with and so patient with me. She worked on my dress until she was happy with it and everything was right. She was super nice and took her time with me. I was so happy with her that I also had her alter my bridesmaid dresses as well as mother of the bride. She was fair on price and met tight deadlines. I brought my new $400 haute couture skirt to get it hemmed. I never expected that something so simple and common would end up destroying the skirt. When I got it back, it no longer fit the way it did when I first bought it. Instead of falling in a flattering A-line shape, it looked like I was wearing a barrel.

When I expressed my concern, the seamstress told me she had cut off the top part of the skirt—meaning she had removed the elastic waistband and about five inches from the top to shorten it. This completely disfigured the skirt. To make matters worse, the stitching was so poorly done that it made the skirt look cheap, which was especially upsetting given its quality and price.

She offered to correct it, so I left it with her for another week. However, when I picked it up, it wasn’t much better. In fact, the pleats on one side were now deformed, making it look even more barrel-shaped and uneven.

At that point, I didn’t bother leaving it with her again. I had essentially lost my skirt. There is no way I can wear it now.

I bought my dress and had all my alterations and bridesmaids done with Christiane's! It was more amazing than I expected and she treated us so well I will always return for anything I want done! Thank you soooo much !

Christiane is such a beautiful women and easy to work with. I had my wedding gown alteration done in no time and she made my custom veil. She really knew exactly what I need. Very happy with the service and highly recommend ❤️

In September, I needed a bit of a short notice addition of drop shoulders to my wedding dress. I called and asked if it was possible within the timeframe. Christiane accepted to do it and she did an amazing job. She is so kind, caring and truly is a blessing! Fair and reasonable in pricing. Feels like family someone said and that was true. The folks at Christmas Decor, from the people who pick up the main line, to the people who hang the lights are all top shelf! They are knowledgeable, timely in responses, they explain the industry. They are patient and very fun to work with! You will be very happy you paid for a up all in service.

Great company, great service. I have been using Christmas Decor for 7 years now and they have been amazing since day 1. On time, courteous and professional staff. They have always accommodated my special requests for installation dates and moving things around last minute when needed to get my lights up on time for special occasions. I would highly recommend Christmas Decor.

We have used them for many years! Love their work. Very professional. They do an amazing job. They come around quite often to check if any bulbs are out and replace them right away. My husband says the best thing is he doesn't have to hang lights anymore. Thank you to Penny and all the staff.

Very professional. This is the third year we are using them. We did a large tree in front of our house with very impressive light display that we decided to use them again this year. Our house certainly stood out in the neighbourhood. Got many compliments from neighbors and friends.

They go out of the way to help and they are friendly and trustworthy - that is my personal experience.

There were times when I thought I had no hope and everything was doom and gloom and surprisingly I found workable easy to understand solutions there.

They helped me to think for myself rather than tell me what to believe.

When I first went to the Church for the first time I wasn't sure what to expect but I was very pleased. The people are sooo kind and genuine. The are truly there to help you in any way you need . Once you start doing the courses you really get an understanding that this course will help you in an area of your life that your trying to improve . It just allowed me to get basic tools that I can use every day in my life to do better . It's not some scary brain washing place at all. That is just rumors that are spread by people who either don't know anything about Scientology or know it's helpful and want to not see it succeed. It's truly something that you have to try for yourself and see if it's helpful for you . You will probable be surprised how simple but effective the help that you get from going there is .

Rayne is amazing! She is worth the drive for me. The best lash tech I’ve had hands down and I’ve been getting my lashes done for 3 years in multiple different cities. Her lashes last longer than any other technician I’ve been to. She makes sure my lashes are perfect every time and I’m always happy for weeks after leaving her studio. She is also such a sweetheart which is a great bonus!

Not only is Rayne incredibly talented at lash extensions but also with makeup. As an event planner, I have booked her for multiple clients for parties and weddings and she has always been amazing for ALL ages. She listens to the client and never fails to please. I HIGHLY recommend her!

She is very quick as well, faster than the lash techs I have had before, which is a huge time saver. She is easy to communicate with, answers fast and is warm and welcoming. I wouldn’t go to anyone else now and recommend her to everyone I know.

I spent a weekend at Ciel et Bois for a wellness getaway with friends, and it was such a sweet winter escape from the day-to-day city living. The convenience of having it be 20-30 minutes of travel time made it easy to drop in and get comfortable. The lodge is gorgeous, spacious and well equipped. The property has so much to offer. We took advantage of the sauna, kitchen, and games. The additional workshop room was perfect for me to host a yoga class, we loved the heated floors, fireside feels and windows that connected us to nature even while we were inside. We also went cross country skiing, only 7 minutes away from the lodge. It was a specular weekend, and felt right at home at Ciel et Bois. I highly recommend and will book again.

A large group of my friends and I stayed throughout the weekend at Ciel et Bois and had a wonderful experience. The drive there was short (only 20-30 minutes from most locations in Ottawa), and the space itself is so beautiful. We all felt very comfortable there and took advantage of all the rooms (especially the spacious kitchen which had everything you can think of)! A friend hosted a yoga session one morning in the studio space, and we spent a great deal of time in the sauna. This was a great pause from city life, and a beautiful staycation.

We were blown away at the place, the team left us a lovely welcome basket… Did not expect that 😀, and all of the details that make it feel like a home away from home are here. BBQ grill, chefs kitchen. The chill space is incredible, sunny and bright yoga room, the livings room, fire pit, hammocks, pick-nick benches. All just a great place to hang out and the basement is perfect for the kids to have their own space. Could not recommend this more, clean spacious, well decorated, comfy beds. Perfect if you have a couple families, or group of friends that want to get away together. You can all have your own space and still be together. Highly recommend 👍🏽👍🏽

Love Ciel et Bois! Beautiful property, incredibly well set up for any activity you have planned. Sauna was definitely a highlight! Also super great owners, they were always happy to answer our questions leading up to and during our stay.

Cindy (and Matt) were hands down the best choice of photographers for our big day. They made everyone (couple, family, guests) feel comfortable and this shows in our pictures. Not only do we have beautiful portraits, but they were able to capture every ounce of love and emotion throughout the day, from our ceremony right through to the dance party at our reception. We can look at any one picture and know exactly what we were thinking or feeling in the moment. Impossible to pick a favourite… every shot is stunning! We will sing their praises forever and ever amen!

Our wedding photos turned out exactly how we hoped! They are absolutely perfect! Cindy brought such great energy to our special day. She truly has a talent for capturing those intimate moments. She captured all the moments we knew wanted and the moments we didn't know we wanted. We received our photos a few weeks ago, and im still finding details she included that I didn't notice before. Having a photographer you can trust to bring out the best in everyone is such a relief on your wedding day, I would recommend Cindy in a heartbeat!

5 stars does not adequately capture how amazing it was to have Cindy document our wedding day! From initial meeting to engagement shoot through to our big day she was beyond awesome. The moments captured by Cindy and second photographer Matt were reflected so beautifully in the images and we are so grateful and beyond stoked with how they turned out! A major plus was her level of professionalism and openness to ideas like including shots with our dog and getting into the lake to take photos of us in a canoe. Professional, timely in communication and open to ideas; on top of the skill, talent and artistic style, Cindy was genuinely invested in how we felt on our wedding day and shared in our joy and excitement. In the days following, even our family and friends were speaking about how lovely she was to have there. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Anyone who loves EDM is gonna end up here- all your local artists to amazing international performances and Escapade after parties. Legends of yesterday & today- in fact, the person in the crowd beside you could be tomorrow's big name in EDM - so practice your PLUR (Google it)

City is BIG on consent (why I love this place) their security is top notch- you have an issue, you speak up and it's dealt with.

Love the intimacy as it's a tight space when it's packed and the artists are an arm's length away. The sound system is loud, bring loops/ear gasms etc if you need them.

Bar can be hard to navigate too when packed, use your manners- most people are PLUR gang- but tip your bar tenders & smile, you'll be seen from then on. Bar, security & door staff are top notch.

In the summer, yes, it's way too hot, and muggy, is it a basement. So dress accordingly. (Mesh/alt styles all welcome)

As always, do not use flash pls in the scene- it's a vibe harsher- there's sick lazers and Rick's white rabbit events are unreal. Was once told nothing that glows is allowed-

Honestly, City has grown so much from just a club- to a kitch spot when concepts was running on Thursdays, sometimes shut down for private events, and lately, extended hours (5 am) - also a camping event in the summer (search on insta for details)

Bathrooms, damp, artsy (bring a sharpie) big line ups, squads inside the 2 stalls, often needing reminders to exit (ladies room esp) be ready for that, or ask security to deal w it.

If you can't find your friend(s), check the alley.

City at night is by far the spot to be. Every staff member is welcoming. Door guys/girls greet you with open arms and a smile. Head down to coat check and you're greeted with more beautiful smiles and happy energy. Bouncers were soft hearted especially Mr. Beard he was bopping away with the rest of us and still on guard but don't let it trick you they mean business if you act a fool. The bar staff are quick, but supper mean lmaooo I'm kidding more amazing energy. Delicious cocktails generous pours and cheap if you show up at the right time. The DJs keep you grooving all night with non stop bangers. Lastly the manager Mr. N really cares about your experience I feel this is such a safe place to be and I'm proud to be part of the City At Night family. Don't let the bad reviews draw you a false picture come for yourself. I HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL SOON!!!!!

Hidden gem in Ottawa! If you love EDM, especially house music, this is the spot. The venue isn't huge like other nightclubs, but it makes for an intimate experience. You can see local artists weekly and international artists during bigger events. During the weekdays, it turns into a lounge called, Afterlight. They are slowly hosting more events that include music outside of EDM, so it's nice to see the diversity and expansion. All staff members are super friendly and helpful. Tickets are very affordable and sometimes, entry is free before a certain time or completely.

The crown jewel of Ottawa nightlife! Definitely the best sound system and place to go out dancing in ottawa! A safe place to let loose with a strong sense of community.

Ive travelled around the world specifically for house music, and when Im at this place with the right DJ, I couldnt care less of whats going on in Buenos Aires, Tulum, Ibiza, etc. Its the only club I go to in Ottawa. Its not every week, but they bring great international talent

My wife and I knew the moment we saw one of Cloud in the Sky's short videos that we wanted them to film our big day. Julien and Joseph were incredible! From start to finish they made us feel comfortable while capturing all the most beautiful aspects of our wedding. Joseph and Julien were fun, out-going, and truly felt like a part of the party (Even got to see some serious dance moves from the two of them). We can't believe how the video turned out! It's breathtaking, what they managed to create from our wedding night is a gift that we can't stop thanking them for!

Julien and Joseph captured the magic of our wedding day and made us relive those same feelings while watching the final production. They are both professional and friendly and helped the day flow with ease. Ourselves and guests felt super comfortable with them around, as they are such a charismatic pair. They did not miss a single moment of our special day. The quality and substance of our video is at Hollywood standards. Julien and Joseph are the best!

I cannot recommend Cloud in the Sky Studios enough! We chose this team based on their impressive online portfolio, loving their creative ways of capturing the real life moments and turning it into art. Not only were they all clearly professionals in their field, but they were also the most down to earth group of individuals. We had Joseph and Julien as videographers as well as Stefan as our photographer for our wedding this past weekend and our friends and family LOVED having them around all day. They took command when needed while still ensuring a fun atmosphere. I have experienced quite a few other events with videographers & photographers, but no other experience has been as professional or comfortable as our experience with Cloud in the Sky Studios.

The service these guys provide does not evolve around simply pressing record and stop.

This company came highly recommended to my wife and I from friends who used them for their weddings as well. As anyone who is or has planned a wedding knows, there are many things to worry about leading up to and during the big day. Cloud In the Sky Studios not only delivered on providing us with an absolutely amazing wedding video that we will cherish forever but I am now also honoured to be able to call the guys that work at this company my friends.

From fanning my wife with a fan in the limo (whose AC broke) to ensuring all the little details throughout the day were captured and actually happened on time, words cannot describe the invaluable expertise these guys bring to your big day.

Everyone these days thinks that pictures are the mandatory format for a wedding. After seeing our wedding video I have to disagree. This video has invoked emotions felt only on that very special day and reminded me of moments I had completely forgotten. You cannot put a price on that.

If you leave this review remembering only two things, let them be this:
1) These guys will hands down give you the best wedding video in this city, or any city for that matter.
