What a classy way to end 2024! Saw “Into the Woods” in concert, and got to visit this architecturally stunning venue for the very first time. The 17-piece orchestra was on point.

If you are 35 years old and under, I highly recommend taking advantage of the $35 ticket price. Got great seats for a real steal.

Beautiful place for concerts and other cultural events.
Schedule for 2025 is very interesting and we will consider the subscription.
Tonight we enjoyed Cuban music with the magnificent Eliades Ochoa and we had a fantastic time!

Truly blessed to have watched Emilie-Claire Barlow perform at Koerner Hall. This venue is known for its acoustics and it did not disappoint! She was on point and her band and singers were phenomenal. She brought Melanie Doane on stage with her ukulele school and the night really took on a special Christmas theme.
They venue itself is excellent - high ceilings, spacious lobby's and the hall is very modern looking with warmth with the wood accents.
it would be great to see classical being played in this space as I would imagine that the acoustics would be magnificent.
Close to get to by TTC, I feel like this is one the best concert halls in the city.

An architectural marvel. This historic building stands out in even chaotic central Toronto. One of my favorite buildings in the area, and so rich in history.

Excellent venue , for some reason the website pics of each area are way worse than what it actually is, just be aware that it’s single seating on the sides of balconies

Kotsy was amazing to deal with, very professional and provided a lot of feedback with what we wanted for our wedding photos. He was very patient with all of our requests, we have a large family and many groups pics we wanted and he took the groups made the best shot possible. He also took so many great candid shots throughout the night which really captured the special moments, it’s amazing he was able to get so many.
Kotsy also provided us with great service after the wedding as well such as prints and wedding album and he was there every step to offer his opinion which we appreciated.

I can't stress enough how happy I am that Kotsy did our wedding photos. Aside from the fact that he was really pleasant to be with, kind and professional, he is extremely talented. We had our wedding cake made by Kwento and were so happy with how it turned out! We sent some inspiration photos along with our wedding colour palette and picked a flavour (salted caramel). The cake was delivered on time and we were thrilled with the look of it. People ate it so quickly we didn’t even get to pack up a slice for our first anniversary!

We used Kwento for our wedding last year. They delivered a beautiful, classic-looking cake, which was exactly what we wanted. The Citrus Olive Oil flavour was amazing, so many guests complimented it! Overall, Kwento was amazing to work with, especially Maria!

I lovee my cake!! I had sent a few inspiration photos from their insta and communicated with them on what they could do. I originally wanted to add fresh flowers, but could not fit them into my budget, so I really love and appreciated that they piped some flowers to my cake 🥲 it's as whimsical and fun as I hoped it would be although, I do wish there was more pink.

My only issue is that after responding to my initial email they ghosted me for a week, and even took a few more days to respond to my follow up email! I thought that I wasn't going to be able to get a cake from them, but I'm grateful I did. She's a beaut!

Tried the ube cupcake at Kwento and it was so delicious! The flavor of the ube really came through. It not too sweet, earthy, and perfectly balanced. The texture was soft and moist, and the frosting was just the right amount of creamy without being too heavy.

What really stood out, aside from the flavor, was the presentation. Each cupcake is decorated with so much care’ seriously, they’re almost too cute to eat (almost!). You can tell there’s real love and creativity behind every treat.

There were so many other desserts I wanted to try, so I’ll definitely be coming back. Kwento is such a charming little spot, a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth 😋🫶🏻

Samantha and Lisa did my, my mom and 4 bridesmaids hair and make-up on my wedding day. They were extremely professional, taking the time to listen to what each person wanted (most wanted a more natural look) and executing it beautifully. Their prices were fair, and we were able to use the beautiful loft-style space. Samantha was flexible and didn't mind if we brought some snacks and drinks, making the experience fun and relaxing. Both Samantha and Lisa were very talented and patient, Samantha even expertly covered up a bruise I had on my arm! Overall, I recommend L'Une for your wedding hair and make-up needs.

This company is dedicated to perfection. Paula was exceptional. Her passion for her work was evident, and she calmed all our stresses about the day. From helping my mom and me down the aisle to setting up the centerpieces and ensuring the food was spectacular, she handled everything with expertise and care. Our friends and family couldn't stop talking about how delicious and fresh the food was, from the appetizers (mini grill cheeses and watermelon avocado cups…omg) to the mains and desserts. Even now, people are still raving about it! The staff at our wedding were incredibly friendly and hardworking. They ensured everything ran smoothly, keeping our guests' water and wine topped up and making sure everything was on time. Their dedication made a huge difference. I quality of service is almost unbelievable - they are not just a caterer... This is something I can eat all day, everyday. The chocolate is smooth, rich and creamy. The tart itself is buttery and not too thick. The peanut butter ice cream was not too overly sweet and had a really strong peanut butter flavour. Everything just went together perfectly

Having Tyler as part of our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. He was incredibly easy to work with during the planning process, and on the big day, he constantly checked in to make sure everything was running smoothly and to our liking. His ability to read the room was impressive—he had everyone up and dancing just by choosing the perfect music for the crowd. As an MC, he was personable, engaging, and helped create a warm and joyful atmosphere.
One of the last-minute additions we made was the Photo Booth, and it turned out to be a huge hit with our guests! Every service Tyler offers is not only high quality but also very reasonably priced. He didn’t just treat us like clients—he treated us like family. Thanks to Tyler and Stacey, we have some unforgettable memories from our special day!

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! From the very beginning, Tyler was professional, organized, and incredibly easy to work with. They took the time to understand our music preferences, helped with the timeline, and made the entire night flow seamlessly. Especially this being their first Lebanese/Arabic wedding.

I have been ordering flowers (1 arrangement and 1 bouquet) for delivery to Maple from this lovely boutique and we have been so pleasantly surprised both times! The customer care is excellent, Grace was so lovely, and what to say about the choice of flowers! Every stem is carefully chosen by the florist and of excellent quality. As a florist myself, I am impressed! Both the bouquet and the in-foam arrangement lasted a surprisingly long time/keeping well! Thank you for the care you put into your creations and your customers! I just had to share how much I loved the flower arrangement workshop. Instructor Sunny was amazing, and the one-hour session flew by. I highly recommend it for beginners looking for a therapeutic time with friends. We will be back! 💐🌼🌺🌹

The place is great, staff is very friendly. I've had their cakes before and they're delicious.

However I had a bad experience, it was due to an understandable and unforeseeable mistake but still I think I should make it known.

I bought two cakes this morning, they got both put in boxes and then in a paper bag. While carrying the cakes back, less than one block from the store, one of the handles of the bag snapped loose and the boxes fell on the floor. I had to go back to pick up another bag, and when I came home one of the cakes was squished on one side, which is very unfortunate. Again, I don't think anyone could foresee this but maybe they should check with their paper bag supplier, or do a quick check of the stability of the handles when they get the paper bags in bulk or something.

Picked up a Chocolate truffle cake for my uncle yesterday. Damn! everyone invited to the party loved it.

I bought the Small 6" Swiss Milk Chocolate Cake via Doordash for a friend birthday. He said it is a normal chocolate with crunchy texture in it. It also has chocolate taste cream in the middle, but it's not oily because it has some sponges and cream is between them.

The kids graduated in swimming so we went out for dinner. They wanted to go to La Veranda because Nonna is "gluten free". As always the service was great, the food was on point and Nonna got to have her Gluten free Pizza. Old school charm, great drinks, and a classic menu... Good spot for celebrations.

Went there for the first time time tonight for dinner after driving / walking past a million times. Great food, great service! 2 cocktails, 1 bottle of wine, 1 app, 2 main courses and 2 deserts only $180. Would absolutely recommend. HUGE menu to pick from!

La Veranda has been a special place for my husband and I since 2018. We've enjoyed anniversary dinners, a (surprise for me!) engagement dinner with both of our families after he proposed, and countless evenings on the patio during the summer.

When we made our reservation last Friday, I noted "It's our first year wedding anniversary!" and detailed how special La Veranda is to us. Well didn't they just pull out all the stops for us!

Thank you to La Veranda management and our lovely server for making our evening so amazing. We were brought to a table with flowers & prosecco (for us to take home!), and a handwritten note that made us choke up just a little bit!

We had an incredible dinner service (mussels & stracciatella, Seafood linguine special of the night, and of course the gnocchi) and ended the night with the creme Brule.

To our surprise they wrote "Happy Anniversary Carol & Luke" in chocolate and put a #1 candle on our plate! It was fun blowing out the candle and making a wish together.

If flowers were superheroes, Caroline at Lace And Bloom would be the Florist Avenger. Seriously, the flowers were stunning. Even the roses were like, "Wow, we look good."

Caroline took our vague "something pretty" request and turned it into an absolute floral masterpiece that had our guests questioning whether we’d secretly hired Martha Stewart's flower army.

Thank you, Caroline, for making our wedding look like a Pinterest board. 10/10 would recommend if you want flowers so beautiful, they'll make your guests forget to eat the cake.

Ordered the Nude Sienna collection for my August wedding. We were so happy we did! Caroline made beautiful flower arrangements, bouquets and boutonnières. The bride and groom pieces are modified so they are the stars of the show but all the items ordered were beautiful. The flowers were in great condition and organized beautifully. I will definitely recommend Lace and Bloom to anyone who needs reliable and gorgeous flowers!

Laura was excellent to work with - super communicative and flexible throughout the process. She helped me review her designs and sent photos of different options, details up close, etc. we worked together on customizing one of her designs to a slightly longer veil than it was in shop, and added a drop blusher. So happy with the way it turned out and that she was willing and able to help create what I had in mind!! Being based in Toronto, I was able to meet up at the Toronto location while she was in town, to try on veils, and pick up the final product in person :)

I purchased a fingertip veil from Laura months before my wedding day, and I was shocked (in a good way) by my experience. Not long after putting in the order, Laura personally contacted me to make sure I had ordered to correct color for the veil. Me not knowing which shade of white would go best with my dress, I just picked the first "white" option I saw in the dropdown menu, however, she had concerns about this, as in her experience, the pure white version can shine brighter than the dress in certain lighting, if the dress itself isn't using the same pure white tule material. To my surprise, she offered to message the designer of the wedding dress to double-check, as I did not know what to tell her by just looking at the dress myself. After she heard from the designer and confirming, she suggested to go with the "off-white" version of the veil, in order to go best with the dress I had selected. The veil came promptly and it looked and felt amazing. I was so happy with my purchase, but also, with the very personal and kind experience with Laura. If the example of effort and attention shown in this experience doesn't tell you how much she cares about her customers, I don't know what will. Thank you, Laura!!! I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Laura Jayne Bridal Accessories, and I can't recommend them highly enough. I decided to order a custom petite dusk comb for my wedding hair just two weeks before the big day (after searching for the perfect hair accessory for several weeks), not realizing it had a 3-4 week production time. Panicking, I reached out to customer service and was pleasantly surprised to receive a prompt and understanding response from Laura within a few hours.

Laura went above and beyond to accommodate my oversight. She was already working on a custom version of the comb for another client and graciously offered to include mine in the production process. To my delight, she managed to complete my comb on the same day, and we worked together to arrange for expedited shipping so that it arrived on time, which it did!

My daughter and I (MOB) visited Laura Jayne’s trunk show in Toronto to look for hair combs for her veil. We were so impressed with her samples that we ordered a pair of custom hair combs to match our 1920’s Art Deco themed wedding gown. We were able to pick the stones and size. They were perfect with the draped cowl silk veil (made by MOB). Laura Jayne’s service was exceptional and she was a dream to work with.

I went to visit this store when they first opened and were running a fun promotion where you could pick a little bulb off their living wall with randomized discounts towards the jewelry! Very clean store with a great selection of fancy stationery. I went in today to grab a different variation of a mechanical pencil I already had but also wanted to get my very first fountain pen after going down a random rabbit hole of fountain pen research in recent weeks. I must have spent about an hour in there with one of the sales reps who was very patient with me and knowledgeable about their products. He helped steer me in a good direction to get what I wanted even if I didn’t specifically know what I was looking for. Left with my pencil, new fountain pen, an ink bottle and a nice notebook with fantastic quality paper. I will say that their prices are a little higher than other stationery stores in the city who sell the same product. For example the pencil I got was actually $15 more at Laywines than the same one I got (with thicker lead) at another local shop the previous week. I was too impatient to wait for the other shop to get it in stock so I payed the Yorkville tax I suppose. Overall great experience with wonderful and knowledgeable staff.

I recently made my first purchase at Laywine’s. My order was shipped promptly and to my surprise, not only was my purchase neatly wrapped in tissue paper but there was also a handwritten note. It made opening my package that much better. Very thoughtful. Rare to come across these days. I’m about to place another order as a gift for a friend. Can’t wait to visit in store!

The feed on my kaweco fountain pen was defected and Emma was incredibly nice and helpful with restoring my pen ! It writes like brand new now. It was my first time visiting the store (I purchased on their online shops and I'm so pleased by the exceptional customer service.

Found a perfect replacement for my Retro 1951 pen and gave some good recommendations for customized stationery. Will revisit in future for sure!

It’s been many years since I actually walked into a pen shop to buy pens. I love such classy and locally owned little shops. I had read about this shop on google while nonchalantly browsing pen shops around, and I decided to try this one. Mr. Laywine is a man with fine knowledge about pens. His warm hospitality and engaging conversations made me feel right at home. The interior is captivating indeed and so is the ambiance but as a hospitality professional I love when I run into such genuine individuals who make the experience of shopping merrier. Splendid spot! If you are a pen collector like me, don’t buy via internet, spare some time and stop by this shop and take Mr. Laywines advice, and he may also share some interesting stories while assisting you with the perfect writing mate.

We received two cakes and a selection of marzipan treats—and I’m still dreaming about them! The cakes were absolutely stunning and tasted even better than they looked: moist, rich, and beautifully balanced in flavor. You can really tell everything is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The marzipan was perfection—delicate, not too sweet, and clearly handcrafted with care. The staff was so friendly and helpful, making the whole experience feel extra special. A true local treasure - one I will definitely be visiting again for all.ocassions! My boys devoured the marzipan!

These treats are absolutely beautiful and delicious. You can tell that they are made with some much intention, care, and high quality ingredients. I'm so glad our paths crossed and I'm looking forward to ordering more things!

It has THE BEST Crème Brûlées in the city. I live far away from them but I order it often despite high delivery charges. Their different sweet boxes are worth exploring too. And of course their decadent cakes are worth every penny. Ive had their red velvet a few times coz my office always orders birthday cakes from them.

Only item I don’t like here is their Tiramisu.. it is too moist and takes cheesecakey more than tiramisu.

But otherwise everything is mouth watering here!! And they leave cute signature on their delivery bags, I love that!

I ordered a strawberry matcha Gâteau du jour cake for my sister's birthday. The cake looks nothing like the picture provided on the website and is honestly disappointing. What seems to be a pistachio lining on the outside was some form of whipped cream. The cake was very washed out and came with a delightful topping of grainy white chocolate and rotten strawberries. For a cake costing 50 dollars I expect it to look how it's shown on the website or atleast have edible toppings. Do not recommend. This cake is a clear representation of "expectation vs reality". I attempted to contact the bakery to adress my concerns and it immediately went to voice-mail.

I had originally requested a custom-sized 8" Red Velvet Vintage Cake for my sister’s birthday. Unfortunately, what arrived on the day was not only a completely different cake, but also noticeably far from the presentation shown on their website. It did taste good though.

I appreciated the attempt to make things right with the offer of a complimentary vintage cake of my choice, and I was genuinely pleased—until I requested the original cake I had ordered, only to be told that the initial quote I received was actually for an 8" mousse cake (the incorrect one that was sent).

Then I was offered two vintage cakes instead (their peach and chocolate)—but, of course, not the Red Velvet one, because it’s now suddenly no longer being made.

Too bad my sister doesn’t like peach or chocolate. So in the end, I passed on the complimentary offer.

Again thanks for trying making things right but hopefully, communication within your team gets a bit clearer in the future. Good luck !

It was an incredible date night experience. The food was impeccable and the staff were friendly and accommodating. What made the night perfect was our server Sebastian’s service, knowledge and recommendations. This was our first time dine-in here but definitely we will come back. And this is now one of our favorite restaurants. Chefs really know what they’re doing!

Atmosphere: The place has a really good night time casual atmosphere. More for gathering around with friends to catch up or even a date. Plenty space considering its located in downtown Toronto. Washrooms pretty clean and well kept even when busy. (We went with a group of 7 people on a Saturday night)

Service: The waiter we had he was very attentive, good service overall. He was the standout of the night.

Food: Food was disappointing. We wanted a lamb dish that was online but they didn't have it in their actual menu. A lot of the items in their menu they didn’t have available. A lot of their menu items in person varied from the ones online. Including some of the ingredients they used online were changed to cheaper ones on the menu in person.

We ordered:
-the snails were pretty good, fresh and didnt have any seafood flavor, but be aware is a VERY small portion of 6 snails per order (3/5 stars)
-bone marrow gave 2 pieces of bone marrow with some bread, pretty standard could get this in another place with better price (3/5)
- the burger (3/5 stars) pretty standard nothing special about it, can find it in another place with better price (missing in the pictures)
-seafood pasta had some seafood, dish was filling enough (2.5/5 stars) (missing in the pictures)
-steak frites: we ordered 4 dishes of that. 3 medium rares and one medium. The 3 medium rares came medium and the medium came well done. Portion was good, but incredibly salty. We also had the mashed potato on one of those and you could barely taste potato on it. For the price and the amount that you receive you can get better. (2.5/5)
- the duck was the most disappointed thing that we ordered. Had some beans that tasted like canned beans. And the duck had a good piece but it honestly tasted like a chinese bbq duck. Can get the same for waaaay cheaper price (1.5/5 stars)

- In addition we got cocktails and beer. They were nothing special or exciting.

Overall experience I would not recommmend this place. Toronto food scene is so rich and diverse you could get something better with the amount we paid. ($90-110 per person)

PS. We also waited around 1.5 hrs for our food to come to our table. Not very good waiting time.

Unfortunately, the food quality did not match the premium pricing. I ordered the bone-in ribeye ($175), and it was a major letdown — lacking flavor, not juicy, and far from the quality you’d expect at that price point. Across the board, the dishes were below average, offering little in terms of taste or presentation. Given the high cost and underwhelming execution, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Their escargot is delicious would definitely get that , the combination of the creaminess and the puff pastry was amazing .
The lamb shoulder and steak were good but the asparagus risotto lacked flavor .
Overall we had a nice time .
